1.
Originally posted by Solid Snake I do not know what to make of many of these statements. Do you? :blah:
Um, yeah, his grandparents bought him a spice colored Game Cube for his birthday. It took me a while to dechiper the ingenious coding that he put his words into, but that seems to be the gist of it.;)
  2. This rpg is perhaps the zaniest thing anyone could ever possibly think up. I describe it as "imaginative", while most of you will find it "insane." If anyone does indeed join it, prepare to go on a magical journey where reason has no place. Heck, writer's block definitely shouldn't be a problem. The beginning, because all stories have one Lying in a thicket of grass, Jeremy opened his eyes and stared bewilderedly at the green sky that gazed down upon him. Literally, the sun and the moon eyeballed one other, nose to nose, with malicious intent. "I must be dreaming," Jeremy said groggily, rubbing his eyes. The young man became rigid as a squeaky voice said assuredly, "A dream? My boy, this is anything but a dream!" Turning around slowly, Jeremy gasped in amazement. Before his eyes, sat two animals--a mouse and a rabbit, comfortably lounging over carrots and tea. "Gerald," the rabbit said to his rodent companion, "what in the world IS that thing anyway? I don't believe a recognize that particular species." "I do say," the mouse squeaked in between sips of tea, "ever since the mutant space monkeys and Hypocronos came about, things have been quite strange." Quite distrubedly, the rabbit replied, "My friend, Night has met day, the folks in West Bob say that the sky has met the heavens, and the sea has saw. This mutated beast is the least of our worries." "HEY, I'm no mutated beast," Jeremy retorted, "I'm a boy!" The two animal amigos stared confusedly at one another--they had no idea what a "boy" was. Clickity.......clickity..........clickity "My word, what is that noise," Gerald the mouse questioned, ignoring the anomaly before them. "Oh, it's nothing but a donkey," Peter the rabbit replied. Peeking his head out of the ground, a mole wearing lingerie interrupted, "Sheesh, you two are idiots. A donkey goes, 'Clickity Clock, clickity clock' not 'Clickity.......clickity....clickity' "Well, I never," Peter the rabbit yelled, drawing a sword, "You have insulted me, and I shall slayeth you! First you gallivant around like that and then you sting me with your words! Have at you!" Withdrawing a pic axe the earth, the mole replied, "How dare you sir! You shall pay dearly for insulting my honor!" Jeremy backed away slowly and scratched his head, as the mouse tried to separate it's furry brethren. Screaming nonsense like, "But we must not fight one another! We must work together to defeat T-bone and Hypocronos," the mouse frantically jumped back and forth. Nose to nose, the two animals glared at one another, resembling the moon and the sun above them. Battle seemed imminent, until a three-legged donkey tripped through the brush and a hawk wearing an eye patch followed. Rushing to the donkey's aid, the boy asked, "Are you okay mister?" "Listen up brother, " the hawk said, eying the boy up suspiciously, "This here is the donkey assigned with the task of bringing peace back to the Animal Kingdom. He doesn't need any help from the likes of you." Rising slowly, his knee trembling, the donkey urged his ally to remain civil. "Hawk Hogan, he's only trying to help. This world would be a better place if there were more individuals like him in it." Interjecting himself into the conversation, the mole asked giggling, "He's the one entrusted with bringing down the Monkey/Hypocronos dynasty?! That's ridiculous!" "Brother," Hawk Hogan said, "He's not only going to bring down the dynasty, but he's going to withdraw the sword of Zion to aid him. He's going to do what I couldn't. WhatCHA gonna do, when Abe the Donkey runs wild on you?!" Laughing hysterically, the mole said, "Yeah, whatever" and returned to his hole, but not before blowing a kiss to the rabbit, tauntingly. "Say," the boy said, "wouldn't this make things a lot easier?" Jeremy proceeded to grab a straight, sturdy piece of lumber and fastened it to the donkey using some nearby vines, giving him an artificial leg. "I'll be," Abe said, walking around on his new leg, "How can I ever repay you?" Looking at the ground ashamed, the boy asked, "Could you help me find a way home? I don't remember where I belong or how I got here?" "Listen Brother," Hawk Hogan said gruffly, "we appreciate what you did, but Abe has an important task to accomplish. We don't have time to baby-sit some strange animal, while the mutant space monkeys and Hypocronos tear the Animal Kingdom apart!" "Of course we can help you, "Abe said ignoring his partner, "I have a good feeling about you. I don't know what you are or where you came from, but I have a feeling that we were destined to meet. If you come with me, I'm sure that we'll find a way to get you home." With that, a boy, donkey and a hawk, set forth on an epic adventure that would determine the fate of the Animal Kingdom. If you are nuts enough to sign up, here's what you'll need. Name: Age: Species: Weapon: (no guns with real bullets)
  3. Sheesh, what is it with the double posts people? To make a quote simply type [*Quote]but without a star and end it with one of these.[*/Quote] And to stay on topic, that thing about Tidus's panties was a joke. Lighten up. And Selphie is a character from Final Fantasy 8.
  4. Actually, Gogeta doesn't fight Buu; Vegetto(sp) does. There's a diffrence between the two. Gogeta is a temporary fusion, while Vegetto is supposed to be a permenant and is much more powerful.
  5. Hey, good luck fighting in the show!
  6.
Originally posted by Zidane Ok I may be going off subject, but am I the only one who finds Selphie attractive?
Well, you can keep Selphie and Seph can keep his Tifa pictures. I'm happy with the lovely Queen Brahne of FF9 anyday.:drunk: :excited:
  7.
Originally posted by Sephiroth hmm, making it VF kids really makes you wonder if other companies will think about doing a similar thing with their games....
That's exactly my concern. It's one thing when a twelve year old fanboy thinks that way, but when the people in power start doing it, something's got to give. Oh yeah, and thanks for adding the "t" Jcgoudy, hehe.
  8. Tetsu Kayama, Sega's COO recently stated that it would be quite possible to see the Virtua Fighter series come to the GameCube in one form or another. However, what he said really makes one think about how far this whole "GameCube is for kids" nonsense goes. Kayama was quoted as saying:
I think it is nonsense to directly port Virtua Fighter to the GameCube. For example, we can make it Virtua Fighter Kids to curtail to the lower age demographic. The game system and fun factor should not be changed so that these players can then move on to the next step with the actual Virtua Fighter.
This statement really gives GameCube owners something to talk about. On one hand, one of the deepest three dimensional fighters on the planet could eventually make it to a system that is currently starving for fighters. On the other hand, he's claiming that it'll be aimed towards children. One would think that Virtua Fighter on GameCube would be a blessing, but it seems like it's direction will push the system further towards a reputation it's trying to escape. What are your thoughts on the situation? And oh man, I missed the "t" in fighter on the topic! Does the pain ever end?!
  9. I just noticed some new information on the game at IGN in case anyone's interested.
Dubbed Tomb Raider: The Angel of Darkness, Core's new adventure title features the ever-shapely Lara Croft in darker and more casual clothes, such as jeans, and a more realistic body model, which looks slightly more like Angelina Jolie. New attributes in her itinerary include a better sense of speed and better strength, along with the ability to speak with more AI characters.
I think the new title is a heck of a lot better than the working title. Also, it's nice to see that Lara's finally wearing clothes that make sense for her adventure. Considering how Lara's not portrayed as a bimbo, for the lack of a better term, it'll make sense to see her walking the streets in jeans as opposed to shorts whose size rivals that of a jockstrap. The added boost in speed will also do the series some good, especially if they make turning less of a chore. Well, we'll see.....
  10.
Originally posted by BulmaVegeta1 Oh, shut up, the Final Fantasy X soundtrack is the best one, so stuff it!!! Final Fantasy 7's music AND graphics all suck, but I have to admit, it is and always will be a FF classic! Hey, I was just kidding when I said to shut up. Sometimes I get a little carried away, ask SolidSnake2.
FF7's graphics and sounds suck? Uh oh, now you've gone and done it. That game was revolutionary back in the day. Back when the game debuted nothing in any genre could compete with its overall package. Goodness me, there are still games being released for PSX that come nowhere near that game. I'll admit that the music wasn't the greatest, as I didn't care for the industrial beat at the start of the game. However, some themes were terrific. **Spoiler** The theme that played during Aeris's death and the conclusion was perfect. Good thing you were joking when you spoke that way, because if you weren't, *Tears of shirt* Hulcatmania would have to run wild on you!!
  11. Lol, what did the GameCube ever do to you? Please don't bash one of the Godfather of Gaming's babies. All three systems have something to offer. We, as gamers should be happy with the gaming industry in it's present condition. Look at it this way, if there was no competition, companies wouldn't strive to become better. It's through outdoing each other that we, as consumers, benefit. A monopoly on the business would be its undoing.

I'd like to see the star of Codename: Viper. I don't think Nintendo made it though. Sorry, but seeing as how the guy ran around shooting people, it'd be hard to come up with a good move list.
  13.
Originally posted by tronic when would capcom or snk vs. dragonball come out
It's only a rumor. The game hasn't been confirmed yet. Also, it's unknown what system it will be on if it does surface. I'd say that PS2 is a safe bet though.;)
  14.
Originally posted by Sephiroth I doubt it is better than the ff7 soundtrack, heh.... *hugs ff7 soundtrack*
Final Fantasy7 didn't have a song that topped the charts in Japan.:p
  15.
Originally posted by Gohan Enraged Ok, I'm sure there's probably ten million posts asking this, but does anyone know when cn will have new dbz? It's so stupid to stop right in the middle of the battling. I've already seen the next episode in Japanese, but still! They are so far ahead in Japanese. Goku is SS3 in it! Just tell me if you hear anything. DBZ is gettin boring. I styill like it though
All you had to do was check at the official site. It says:
New episodes of Dragon Ball Z are scheduled to begin airing on Cartoon Network (USA) September 3. Let's get ready for a new exciting season.
I guess that would make sense, because the station has been following a similar schedule for a couple years(or more) now. Anyway, they're a lot further than the SSJ3 Goku episode in Japan, as the series is complete. But, um, if you want to see new American dubs with Goku as SSJ3, they're available on tape.
  16. New episodes of DragonBall? Those words really sound....I dunno...funny. It's kinda like saying TNN is showing new episodes of A-Team.
  17.
Originally posted by Sephiroth or perhaps the gamecube version will have a slightly different storyline or something, who knows?
I don't believe that FFX will be coming to GameCube unfortunately.
  18. Are you talking about FFX International? If so, it's not really completely redone. There is an exteneded ending that takes place two years later, a revamped sphere grid and new bosses, but that's the gist of it.. Also, there's talk that FFX may spawn the first every direct sequel in the series...
  19. *Stammers and looks around cofusedly* I don't want it either. Not me! I really would have bought it when it came out, but now it's just outdated. Intregal was basically the VR missions, plus the original game with added bonus features(mainly a first person view mode, but sadly no cats). As for cats and Yaoi....I don't even have a clue as to what Yaoi is..:drunk:
  20.
Originally posted by Zero-Sama Darn,You are just one old man,You Mushroom Eating Plumber!:excited: :drunk:
You know, I'm gonna have to beat James down with a wrench for starting this epidemic. Anyway, yeah Mario and I are a couple of twenty year old guys that should cash in our social security checks. That outline was pretty cool though. Super Mario Bros worst movie of 1993? What a travesty. That movie rocked....and hard. The film was a brilliant visionary masterpiece. I still have fond memories of the Super Mario Bros. Super Show too. They made Link a little horn dog though. Every episode, he tried to get a kiss from the princess. I don't think he ever did though. Is the 1988 sequel that sucks, the Mario 2 that was ported to GameBoy Advace? That game's a blast.

What's all this talk about me being obsessive and cats being evil? Everyone should be celebrating felines, just like me. I'm even going to push for an Absolute Cat section on the otaku site, thank you very much. And let's not forget: Cat's aren't eeeeeviiil animals....no, no, no, they're party animals. 22. You know, it's pretty funny to realize that Mario and I are the same age. Nonetheless, Mario'll probably be around longer.:smirk: I guess it's just a coincidence that 1981 was the year, that two legends were born. On one hand you have the mushroom eating plumber and on the other you have the Godfather of Gaming. Go figure.
  23.
Originally posted by Sephiroth I am hugely disappointed with DOA3, I played it and found it to be extremely similar to DOA2, I don't know why Tecmo even bothered....
Yeah, Earth to Sephiroth, almost every Virtua Fighter is almost the same as it's predecessor but with the addition of new stages and two new characters. Granted Virtua Fighter 3 added a bit more, but for the worse. Anyway, the gameplay in DOA2 was spot on to begin with, but the addition of endings and new moves to DOA3 freshened things up a bit. I wonder if Australia got the new costumes and such though. It would have spiced it up a bit more.
Originally posted by Sephiroth   I wouldn't let crazy white boy get anywhere near your cat, he seems to have a strange fixation with cats O_o;;;
Me, have a strange fixation with cats? Heck yeah I do. The question is: Who doesn't? Cats are wonderful animals that have served as man's real best friend for 5000 years. Unlike the dog, a cat isn't a pack animal...a cat isn't dependent on it's kin. As a matter of fact, cats don't have built in co-operative instincts. The domestication of the cat actually began in the valley of the Nile, in what is now Sudan but was then Upper Egypt. That's if my memory serves me correctly, anyhow. Cats were quite useful to the egyptians because they ate vermin that ravaged Egyptian crop. By leaving out fisheads, the egyptians encouraged cats, such as the African Wildcat, to eat the vermin. Being a naturally calm species, the African Wildcat quickly adapted to people, allowing itself to at first be approached, then petted, and eventually to be held. The cat is a passionate animal, and rewarded all that caressing and holding with love and affection in kind. Dogs basically jump around and act like idiots, but a cat(once it's affection is won) purs. Surely, we should all celebrate the cat as the egyptians did. Ah well, I don't have a picture of my cat, but I hope that everyone keeps those cat pics a' comin'. It'll make these boards a better place.
  25. I understand what you mean perfectly. We both have slightly different opinions on the series future...but that's okay. I guess that neither of us is going to convince the other here. I suppose that only "time will tell" for the series.
