Originally posted by Deus_Ex_Machina Yo, I dont have FFX, so can someone explain the rules and whatever?
It would probably be best for you to go to the Final Fantasy forum and look it up. I outlined it in one of the threads. I'm pretty sure it was Gouf's FFX thread.
Originally posted by Raiha Your spelling and grammar are both quite awful Crazy White Boy........just to let you know......
Heh, thanks for pointing that out Raiha. I'll b shoore to stey affer skool an' stuedy mor.:) ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------ Resting on a soft patch of grass, listening to the alien sound of birds twittering, Mephistopheles gingerly patted himself softly with a white handkerchief and prepared for the trials that lie ahead. The heat from the Earth's sun, baked the back of his neck-for it was much warmer than what he was used to. Looking at his capsule he frowned. As the dust settled, the damage to the ship's exterior from the crash landing was quite apparent. Suddenly, an indescribable feeling shook the mighty warrior. "Two Saiya-jins....strong ones," he muttered, "and they're relatively close." As he rose to his feet, he sensed yet another being, this time a Namek. "This planet has surprised me greatly already," he declared, "The Namek must be the God of Earth...the key to the legendary DragonBalls." Clutching his family pendant, he muttered sweet incantations of destruction. "I'll turn them to cinder and spread their ashes across the galaxy," he finally exclaimed, sending the nearby birds fluttering away.

Although the Xbox version hasn't been seen as often as the GameCube edition, EGM claims that it might be released first, possibly with Microsoft's gaming network this summer. It's pretty cool that they have a split screen mode too, but online is where it's at.
Originally posted by PiroMunkie Navi: I'm not afraid not to say it. In fact, I don't say it. Peer pressure is no worry for me, there is nothing to that effect that could make me think otherwise about not standing for the Pledge. Heh, the irony in the situation would be that I'm standing up for what I believe by sitting down
You know, I think that that was rather well said PiroMunkie. You actually just helped me realize something about myself. All of my years in public schooling, I'd get up and wonder why I was saluting the flag when it's nothing more than a piece of cloth. Now..I think that I stood up because of the meaning behind that cloth. I think I saluted it because it represents a country that actually gives people the right to sit down. There are probably other countries where people wouldn't have that luxury, even if they were standing up for themselves for a good reason....

I'd say that the first one had the most unforgiving trick system, but the easiest level goals. The sequels have gotten progressively creative in the latter department, creating a few mind teasers. However, none of them are that difficult at all. This is mainly because the career mode is only used for building skaters up and earning parks. The real fun is meant to lie in multiplayer mode.

His cream hands pressed lightly against the cold glass window of his space capsule. Mephistopheles, one of the original children of destruction, stared aimlessly out into the twinkling starlight atmosphere around him. Taking in a deep breath, the lost soul pushed himself off the window and simply floated in his capsule. Through his veins coursed cursed blood; blood of unholy eternal existence. "Earth is nearby," he whispered to himself. For countless lifetimes, the dark warrior has existed without true meaning. Across the universe he had been able to sense others-others with his kind of power. And now....he felt them...felt them in the pit of his stomach. Sleep came to him swiftly. For the fist time he felt as if he lie in his mother's arms again. True resolve only lie a planet away. The Saiyans had destroyed the Tsufurijin race and raped their planet-hisplanet. The sands counting down the time to his salvation had at last run out. Resolve only lie a few moments away.....

We've always had to at least stand up for the flag salute. When I was in High School no one demanded that we say it, or put our hand on our chest, but had to have enough respect to at least stand for it. I agree that it can be offensive to some people because the word "God" is in the song. In some ways our pledge is archaic in that it seems to cater to Christianity. However, if someone practices a religion, they most likely worship a God of some sorts. I don't see what the big deal is there. All they have to do is pledge allegiance to the United States under their God. For those that don't believe in God...just don't say that part. Anyway, it's best to just stand up for a few seconds to avoid the hastle of it all. If you feel really strongly against it, you can have your parents notify the school-that usually works.

My favorite song would have to be "November Rain" by Guns N' Roses.
Originally posted by Squashed Snail Bitzball? I've heard of it..... I don't know how to get it. How do you get it?
It's a mini game in Final Fantasy X that you have to play at least once to progress in the game.

I'm actually very happy to hear that there are no mine cart levels. Anyway, I've only played the beginning and my initial impression was that the game wasn't doing anything new. It seemed like a scavanger hunt. Breaking boxes and spinning have also been done. However, I would probably feel differently if I actually played the game though. To say that I haven't even scratched the surface is a huge understatement.
Originally posted by James lol, I know you're being sarcastic...but I'm always prepared to admit if I'm wrong. But you yourself agreed with me...so I was right, wasn't I? :) Maybe I just seem to be always right because when I'm disagreeing with something, I'm often disagreeing with something stupid. lol
Hey now James, you're often disagreeing with me and my arguments are usually valid. Well, except for that water issue, which I'd rather choose to forget.
Heh, don't worry dude, I've got a good storyline for this guy that I'll reveal next time. You'll understand when I reveal his race, background and when he gets to earth. Sorry about the initial confusion..but if it works out right.....it'll be worth it.

All bars were alike, no matter what planet they happened to be on. Shady figures always found their way to exclusive corners underneath blankets of darkness. Happy go lucky youths laughed hearitly while exchanging stories with one another in large groups underneath blankets of smoke. Everywhere, it was the same portrait painted over...just with a differenet background. Sitting quietly, sipping Petrilian, the Imegians' equivalent to saki, a cream skinned figure sat, nodding his head in time to the soft guitar music in the background. As the warm liquid passed through the man's faint pink lips, the surrounding chatter became a blur. Only one thing was of importance to Mephistopheles; resolution. "The good life exists," began a familiar voice, removing the dark warrior from his train of though, "only when you stop wanting a better one." "It is the condition of savoring what is rather than longing for what might be," Mephistopheles finished. Looking up, his dual colored eyes met those of his long time friend, Larian. Smiling, the two men clasped hands. "It's been a long time my friend," Mephistopheles said softly. "Indeed it has," Larian returned. "I expect you're off to Earth?" Mephistopheles, clad in a dark robe, looked down at the glass in his hand and rocked it gently. "I suppose I am. I have to finish this." Larian's eyes widened, almost becoming saucers. Sighing, he bowed his head. "Then I suppose, I bid you farewell. When do you leave?" "This place disgusts me so," Mephistopheles sighed, "I set out for Earth when the music beomes stale and the drinks run dry. Evil awaits, as well as the last of the Saiyan race."

Okay here was my advice dumbed down: "Don't fight her because it won't solve anything." *Poof* That's not so bad and it's not crap either bub. I said simple things. If she wants to do away with her completely, then making her an enemy will conflict with that. I mean, that is SO beyond comprehension. If you don't like what I say keep it to yourself, because I really don't understand half the things you say either.

It's.....okay. My friend has it and the animation is top notch. The humor is really an asset to the game as well. However, I find it to be cliche'. I've even heard that there's a mine cart sequence in it! I just picture some guys sitting around a table brainstorming for ideas. Out of nowhere, one of them says, "Oh, I know! How about we add a mine cart level?" Right there, I'd just have to slap him. Really, how it got into the game I have no idea.....

You threw cheesy bread?! You fiend! I find that to be atrocious behavior. Now pies on the other hand always make for perfect ammo.......

Shouldn't this be in General Anime?

Great, now you've done it Will. People are actually going to believe that there's an group of people called "Al Bhed."

I'm sorry..I just have a sweet spot for Gohan's Saiyaman outfit. It was just a classic superhero cliche' done well.

Usually lying just leads to more lies. No one's perfect and everyone will find themselves lying once and a while. Most of the time I prefer to be honest.
Originally posted by Zero-Sama I think Wakka is a stereotype of black people.
 No way! If anything he's a stereotype of islanders. I don't think there's anything wrong with him except for the fact that he says "Ya?" a lot.

It should be out late this year or early next year. The graphics are looking better every time I see it. However, I wouldn't look for many cinematics with detailed facial models. The characters will probably look something like the regular models of X.

Well, it's already kind of a game in it's own. I feel that it surpasses the qualifications of a normal mini game by allowing the signing of free agents, aquiring of new skills, leveling up and having great overall depth. I guess they could make it as a successful stand alone game. Heck, after seeing Chocobo Racing I know that anything is possible.

Well, I believe that it was ridiculous when Capcom stretched out the Street Fighter II games. I feel that it was just a way to keep up with Midway's Mortal Kombat series. Each title lacked innovation, and tainted the series. Anyway, I still find the Alpha games enjoyable as well as the versus games. However, I don't think that the series has reached it's full potential yet...not until we see a decent three dimensional version.
