Can't think of a third choice? Max Payne is your man. I peronally think that Max Payne is worlds better than HALO. For some reason, I just had more fun with it. I've only played it for PC, but I hear that the Xbox version is every bit as good, except for the control setup of course.

Anything you hear about a GameBoy Advance Final Fantasy is just speculation as Square hasn't officially announced it. Personally, I wouldn't hold my breath waiting for it....

Yeah, one controller comes with the system. Who needs a pack in game? Sony loves us!

It seems that many of the villains in Final Fantasy games end up being monsters somehow. Look at Sephiroth, for instance. Somehow, he transforms into two different kinds of freakish monsters before Cloud finally finishes him off. Kuja even transforms into an ultra tripped out version of himself. I think it's all about drama.

Parappa The Rapper 2 will be released January 22nd. I hear that while the lyrics are catchy, they're not as addictive as those from the first game. Ah well though, I still hear that it's rather good and they have a few hidden hat colors to keep you playing.
Originally posted by King Penn hmm, sounds interesting, way more than a guy in a bikini, as we saw in ff9
Ah, C'mon now, Kuja had an awesome theme song. Anyway, the only thing that I really hated was when he went into trance! He looked just plain silly.

The main villain is nothing like that of any other Final Fantasy game. Rather than being a man or woman, Sin(the main villain's name) is a monster bent on destroying everything. Without spoiling anything, Sin is the world's punishment for relying on machina(machines). Long ago, Zanarkand and Bevelle, had a war between summoners and machina. Obviously, the machina proved far more powerful than expected. Mankind(I don't think the Ronsos were involved) destroyed each other and their surroundings through war, thus came the birth of Sin. For some reason, Sin reminds me of the Godzilla used in the American movie a few years back. Tetsu Tsukamoto, the monster designer, said that, "The design became mixed with symbolism and chaos, forming a truly bizarre creature." By the way, Sin is mainly a sea creature, that releases Sin spawn, or fiends from it's surface. These spawn are many of the creatures you will fight through the game. They are, in effect, the games monsters.

I didn't beat it quite yet. When I got to the Calm Lands, which is nearing the end of the game, I was 27 hours through. However, in order to get Yojimbo, a hidden Aeon, I had to save up about 198,000 Gil. Also, I mastered the Chocobo training, discovered the hidden temple and got the Cloudy Mirror. If I had done none of that I would have been through very quickly. But because of the side tracking I left the Calm Lands at 30 hours into the game. Seeing as how I plan on acquiring all of the Legendary Weapons and hidden Aeons, I'm bound to go on a couple of side quests. If I went straight through, I'd estimate the total time to beat the game at around 33 hours. Seeing as how I'm doing everything, it'll take more than 40 hours. Unfortunately, you have to play a lot of Blitzball to acquire Wakka's World Champion Ball, so that'll stretch it out a little.
Originally posted by King Penn interesting, Tifa doesn't talk like that, and she's just as much of a terrorist as barret is :p
That is actually a rather good point. All of the other members of Avalanche, such as Biggs, Wedge, and Jesse are also terrorists but fail to resort to Barret's language. I don't think the man's situation has anything to do with his speaking pattern...

You know what? I'm gonna have to stickwith my childhood hero, the legendary, Immortal Hulk Hogan. Despite his age, Hulkamania is still runnin' wild brother. Plus, the man's got the 24 inch pythons that prove useful in tearing off tear away t-shirts!

I suppose I'd transform into an encyclopedia. That way, I know that I'd always be able to have an interesting conversation with myself.

Just to clear a little something up for those asking questions, I personally don't think that African Americans are stereotyped; just under represented in the rpg genre. I was just posing a question based on complaints that I've read, lol, I don't think that there's anythng wrong with Barret.

I don't know about all of this water freezing stuff, but I personally feel cheated. Where in the world is the water-filled jock strap? I sense a scandel in the works.....

I'd do the quiz again once it's updated, but honestly, I'm just happy being me!:)

Ah yes, Rajin had to be one of the more annoying characters in the Final Fantasy series. Come to think of it, there was an African American hero in the Final Fantasy movie as well, but I(not being a big fan of the film) forget his name at the moment....

Well, I don't think that anyone exists for a divine purpose. Honestly, it's hard to tell whether we control our own destinies or are simply puppets for fate. It is quite humbling thinking that our own lives are predetermined and that we are simply "going through the motions." Anyway, I feel that we all exist to endure life's trials. In life, unless you're living under a rock, you'll encounter various decisions, temptations and choices. When life is all said and done in life, I believe that we are all here as a means to determine how we will end up when we die. It's religious stuff I guess.

If this was discussed before I apologize for making another thread on it. In actuality, I don't know how it couldn't have been discussed, as it is a very apparent issue. Anyway, I just figured that if discussed maturely, that this topic could prove quite interesting. As many of you know, upon the release of Final Fantasy VII, many people complained that Barret's speech stereotyped African Americans. By constantly using a certain four letter swear word, many wondered if Barret portrayed Square's view on African American speech patterns and behaviors. Furthermore, to be honest, I don't remember seeing any African American heroes in previous or following installments of the series. Maybe Final Fantasy XI will change this problem... Anyway, in your opinion, does the Final Fantasy series, or RPG genre for that matter, discriminate against African Americans?

I personally don't have the game, but I've read that Pichu is a hard little critter to get.....

As the day comes to a close, it's really up in the air as to what I think about. Usually, as I'm trying to go to sleep I think briefly about the events of the day and the things that mad me laugh or feel bad, depending on my mood. Plus I'm always planning...planning for the next day and what lies ahead. Sometimes, I'll just sit back and think about where I want to be in the next few years or if my plans are really realistic. Other times I'll just dream about the things that can't be erased, actually going away. One thing I've never done though is think about sheep jumping over a fence.....

Heh, of course there are more weapons. Here, I'll post the locations. I'll post a general listing that I found. Don't use this if you plan on playing fair I guess... Handgun A- This is the default gun Handgon B - Find it at the Nurse's Station Handgun C - It's located in the Storage Room of the Arcade/Casino, on a shelf. Handgun D - It's on the Upper Library on the Desk Shotgun - In the Prison Showers on the floor Grenade Gun - In the Parking Garage sitting on the hood of the car Magnum - It's location is in Plant B1's Power Room Rocket Launcher - It becomes apart of your inventory once you gain S rank after beating the game.

I hated that boss. Hades is an optional boss that you can fight later in the game. If you fight and actually defeat the pain in the butt known as Hades, you can synthesize the best items in the game. I believe that it's in Memoria. You have to enter a room in which Quina thinks that there is water and tries to swim. After the cut scene, search the hidden area amongst the coral on the right side of the screen. After a voice begins to ward you off, persist in the conversation to fight Hades. Just keep on pressing the confirm button there, since a "!" icon won't appear.

Well, it looks like Lady M was right about Hall. I've just read that the WWF have renewed interest in him and have agreed to contract him, although he would work less days than Nash so that he can spend time with his family. It all gets stranger however. Word has it, that it's quite possible that Hogan will sign as well. The next pay per view is No Way Out and some think that the nWo could reform. The initials match, but is it just a coincidence? Ah well, Hogan won't be around until Wrestlemania anyway. I can't wait as Hogan is my all-time favorite! The source of this rumor is 1Wrestling.com. Usually these things should be taken with a grain of salt though...
