1. Don't forget that there are different types of spheres such as Ability Spheres, Power Spheres, Mana Spheres, Luck Spheres, etc. Also, you can activate any nod(that's not empty) as long as the one you are resting on is connected to it. You can activate empty nods with special spheres, such as the Luck Sphere.
2.
Originally posted by Squashed Snail Very good point you pointed out there..... :)
Yeah, it's always been my philosophy. I guess that's why I love Grand Theft Auto 3 and the original Legacy of Kain so much. I forgot all about Magus on my list though.:nervous: Heck, in Superman for the Nintendo 64 I found myself killing Superman just so Lex could win. With a game that bad, the man of steal didn't deserve to live!!
3. Ah, anything by Anne Rice is usually a winner. She's the writer of the Vampire Chronicles for your info. The Street by Anne Petry isn't bad either. Or how about Return of the Native by Thomas Hardy? Be prepared though, it's long. Wuthering Heights is also an excellent, yet slightly melancholy book.
4. My hands are my weapons.... And you forgot words. Words can be the most deadly weapon of all. Out of your choices, I'll be modest and go with the tank.
5. Well, did you know that Super Mario Advance 3 is slated to be a port of Super Mario World 2: Yoshi's Island? Now that is good news indeed. I actually didn't get Advanced Wars yet. I've got every killer title minus that and Wario. Too bad actually, I heard that Advance Wars is one of the best strategy games ever made.
6. I noticed that they look asian during some of the cg, but I don't care to be honest. The voice acting is actually very good. The lip synching is bad, but I don't hold it against SQUARE. That game required massive localization, and SQUARE still managed to get it out early.
7. I don't know. I remember reading, I think in the newest EGM(could be wrong) that the Saturn launch was a failure. By releasing it too early, it became totally botched. How would you say that Playstation was miserable at first? Saleswise, you could be right, but I'm referring to game quality rather than sales figures. Granted, it was a wild card system with no credibility, but the initial launch titles weren't so bad. Tekken was easily superior to Virtua Fighter(well, that's based on opinion) and Ridge Racer was more than a match for Virtua Racing Deluxe. I take that back if Daytona was already out at launch though.
8. A liar is a liar. A hustler will always end up meeting a better hustler some day. It's just like the saying, "What goes around, comes around." As for your brother, :D I suggest he gets a dog for now.
9. Throughout history, be it in videogames, movies, comic books, or stories, we find ourself cheering on a hero that we know will win anyway. What many people do not realize, is that the villain is actually just as important as the hero in their epic struggle for supremecy. I mean, if Final Fantasy VII didn't have a sich as bad villain, would the hero's have looked so good? Would Superman be so super without Lex Luther? Sometimes, just sometimes, we find an evil sun-of-a-gun that we actually like. I know that each of you have found a twisted soul that you like more than the beloved hero. So, I pose the question, "Who are your top three favorite videogame villains of all time?" Mine are: 1)Sephiroth 2)Bowser 3)Kain
10. I'll do Kuja even one better. I got it for free as a graduation present. Booya! Anyway, it is a great system, and Golden Sun was a pleasant surprise. But I liked PSX a lot when it first came out. It got attention for games like Tekken,Toshinden,(because of it's looks) and Ridge Racer. Compared to Saturn's launch-it rocked.
11. Well, if Advance Wars and Golden Sun can't hold you until then, I suggest Super Mario Advance 2. That game is simply massive.
12. The Gameboy Advance isn't proving this power(with the exception of Rayman Advance) that's for sure. I have one, and a lot of the games are just touched-up versions of the SNES titles. The sound in the games isn't even a lot better(could actually be worse). I'm just looking at bank for your buck here. I'm saying that Nintendo should have looked at DreamCast and PSX's price and considered that people can really get a bang for their buck with them. Playstation has a huge library, and DreamCast has some really great titles. I'm not saying the GBA should have been twenty-bucks mind you, maybe about seventy-five.
13. Heh, I know how it feels to have your hand hurt from Drawing. I once drew a whole DBZ poster in pen using stippling(dots). My hand hurt for a couple days to say the least. Nice picture though. You did an excellent job blending the colors.
14.
Originally posted by Kottonknot Not Another Teen Movie.
Really think so? I thought that it was hilarious. It wasn't made in quite the clever style of Scary Movie, but that Breakfast Club recreation was great. Plus it had Mr. T with the A Team theme!!:mrt:
15.
Originally posted by tetsuo if you had a sword and some mad super saiyan fighting skills. then you would be trunks oh yeah, you would need to bleach your hair and dye it purple. whats wierd is that in some of the manga of DBZ that i have seen bulma has the purple hair and trunks has the blue-greenish hair, well anyway. oh yeah and you would have to be big and buff and you would have to fly. then you could be trunks' splitting image, sorta.
Yeah, and if I put on some blue tights, red panties, hit the gym for about ten years, learned to fly, got a cape, grew up in the styx, became a news reporter, and dated a really hot journalist that's too stupid to recognize me without my glasses, I'd be Superman.;)
16.
Originally posted by James I agree with you there. People's opinions are just that; opinions. However, I also think that even objectively speaking, people can be wrong. I mean, when Ocarina of Time first came out, it was revolutionary in many ways. It redefined the way that 3D games were to be played. If someone had bashed the game at the time, then even objectively, they would have been wrong. Having said that, it's fine to point out small flaws (such as some of the extremely low-res textures on some of the walls), that's totally forgiveable. But EGM has been bashing a lot of high quality games in a very broad-based way lately. It's really made me lose a lot of respect for them.
Yeah, the targeting system in Ocarina was masterful. Heck, even Grand Theft Auto 3 kind of benefited from it, although it still isn't quite up to par to Zelda's. However, I don't know if EGM is strictly bashing ALL high quality games. I think they're mainly biased against Nintendo. I mean, Shoe gave Luigi's Mansion a 5.5! He insinuated that Nintendo didn't concentrate on the gameplay-they concentrated on making it look adorable. Even the aformentioned Wave Race:Blue Strom recieved a 5.5 and 6.0. At least they didn't downplay Grand Theft Auto 3 to further promote Halo and MGS2: Sons of Liberty.
17. You should just go with the philosophy that those guys are the ones losing out-not you. They'll come and they'll go; it's only life. You'll be the better person for being strong and moving on. After all, it is Bribes C. Forbes that once said:" History has demonstrated that the most notable winners usually encountered heartbreaking obstacles before they triumphed. They won because they refused to become discouraged by their defeats."
18.
Originally posted by Gohan My brother recently played the halo game at a friend's house, and said the same thing as you. The egm scores were crazy, and it was good, but not that good. Then again, it was hard to believe him as he says a xbox controller feel a lot more comfortable then a gamecube one. As a matter of fact, quite a lot of ppl want to beat him up for the things he likes/dislikes (melee suks, ffx is lik pokemon, mgs2 is awful).
Actually, Xbox's controller is more comfortable for me too. That's only because my hands are pretty big though. It's a matter of opinion. Anyway, I agree that Halo was overrated, but not necessarily in a crazy way. EGM just has a bad habit of overrating all of the major games now. I wouldn't have given it a 10. I would have scored it an 8. But people want to beat him up over saying SSBM and MGS2 sucks? Those are his opinions, it doesn't mean he should be beaten over them.
19.
Originally posted by Mike You are all wrong, the worst movie is American Beauty, that movie has no plot at all... tt was really stupid. Am i not right? Well, off i go on my merry little way...la da da! *trips over a knome* oohf! i'm ok..heh..
Actually it does have a plot. It's about an aging man in an unhappy family situation that has lost all love for life. He merely exists, he doesn't really live. After becoming infatuated with his daughter's friend, he becomes reinvigorated because he actually wants something. In the end, he realizes that what he really wanted all along was to be free, to have happiness.
20. If anyone joins the army with the expectation that they're going to get to "blow a bunch of stuff up," they're seriously mistaken.

Thps 3!
Originally posted by Da_Heavyarmz and that THPS 3 fpr PS1 got a horrible 4/10 and for PS2 got a 10/10... the PS1 release scored so low because it wasnt made by Neversoft cuz they decided to just stick to the PS2...
Actually Shaba Games is made up of quite the talented group of programmers. They, arguably created the most respectable alternative to the Ton Hawk series in Grind Session. Furthermore, it didn't necessarily get rated badly. Gamespot rated it a 9.0(superb).
22. Shenmue was the first game to create "the living world." That's how you can compare them. Halo, though is not just another first person shooter. Crank up the difficulty and prepare yourself for masterful A.I. It's the feel of that game that makes it so special.
23. I agree. Comparing Halo and GTA3 is like comparing apples and oranges. The closest you can come is to compare GTA3 to Shenmue. And the question begs to be asked, "Do you really want to talk about Shenmue?"
24. Oh my God, The Talented Mr. Ripley is Castaway's only rival. I almost went into a coma while watching that horrid film. I heard the movie, Glitter was bad too. Fortunately I didn't subject myself to that torture...
25. A lot of sex? I don't think so. Anyway, they do show Goku(as a child) nude a few times. Heck, even in the intro to DBGT they show him nude.
