Wow, I was just reading this book called, "The New American Ghetto." And it mentions these projects, called the Colombus Homes. This place was torn down but before it was, Camilo Jose Vergara toured it. He says that the rooms were a "gold mine of scribblings." Anyway, on the wall of a bedroom, that looked out into the remains of the demolished buildings, someone had drawn the outline of a small house with a smoking chimney; within that frame was a poem, entitled "All Alone": I am sitting Here All Alone, Waiting, Waiting To Find a Home, At night I lie in bed and dream And sometimes I wake up ans start to scream. What is this fear I feel inside, Is it of being alone Or is it my mind? I am Sitting Here All Alone, Still Waiting To Find A Home. I just think that this poem is really powerful and that it should be shared. Just think about who could have possibly wrote it, an impoverished person with nothing ahead of them to look forward to. It could have even been a child. Now that's moving.

Wow, I didn't think that you guys wanted to hear from me THAT much!

Oh yeah, he gets Goku-like clothes when he absorbs Gohan.

I don't think that either side will win yet. Even if one side does win, it'll be carried over until next year. The WWF product has gotten too stale in my opinion. That old dog needs to learn some more tricks. RVD being demoted was aweful too. Bah, give me Hogan over the allience any day....brother.

Wow, a lot of people with girl problems on these boards lately. Don't you tikes collect baseball cards anymore?

Devil May Cry is okay. It focuses a lot more on action than puzzles and some of the bosses are a little hard. I beat it in a little over six hours though, on the medium difficulty. I hear it has some pretty decent secrets though.

Yeah, nothing more than what I said though, because technically there is no real info on them.

Stand Back!! I bet you that he has plenty of copied and pasted "knowledge" to share with us when he comes back. Oh yeah, I'm a Newbie too you know. That hurts!

Wow, everyone I have to tell you that come November 20th, you are in for a treat. The animation is much improved and the gameplay remains mostly true to the orignal. However, THQ and YUKES had to make some minor cutbacks that I personally found disappointing. I'll make a fun list, since it makes for easier reading. 1)The Roster. It seems that in order to get the final product out in time for Christmas, THQ had to make some last minute cuts on the roster. Orginally, the game was planned to include, 36+ playable characters. This number has now been cut down to a significantly smaller, yet pleasing number of 6! These 6 stars include: The Rock, Triple H, Steve Austin, Kurt Angle, UnderTaker, and Kane. But who cares? It's not like you would have played as those "other wrestlers" anyway. As a hidden bonus, Earl Hebner is rumored to be included as a special hidden character. 2)Options Sadly, a lot of the options have been removed. While Story mode, theater mode, create mode, and options appear on the screen, they are not available for selection. Apparently, a lot of match types have been taken out also. Laying on the cutting room floor, are many of the orignal match types promised. It looks like we'll have to wait 'till next year for 128 bit casket matches, ladder matches, and hell in the cell matches. 3)The Arenas No big deal here. Only the original SmackDown arena is available. But come on, how many of us liked the Raw set anyway? Oh, and all of the backstage areas have been taken out, so that the developers could focus on the in-ring action. 4) Commentators Contrary to recent rumors, Tazz and Micheal Cole will be present at ring-side. However, they remain strangely silent, and have no announce tables. It turns out that THQ had trouble with wood effects, and opted to just scrap our four-legged friends. 5) Other Cut-backs. Some other cut-backs include, absolutely NO weapons. It seems that Acclaim's Legends of Wrestling nagged an exclusive license that allows only them to include weapons in their games. Maybe next year guys. A small, unnoticable problem, is that the ropes don't move. But they don't move in real life much either, so who cares? Another surprising cut is that there are no entrances. It turns out that THQ's development time was wearing thin on Raw is War for the X Box. In a controversial move, they sacrificed ring entrances in SD3, so that they could get done their other project. Finally, since there is no interfence in WWF, THQ saw is fit to remove it from the game. Thank you THQ and you too YUKES!!!! 6)The Good Crowd fighting is still there. Oh yeah, and you can fight outside the ring. Plus, in a spectacular move, THQ decided to keep the tag match option. 7)Overall I don't really think that the game is worth $50. It does make a good rental though. I'd save my money for Royal Rumble for DreamCast if I were you guys.

I've heard that Wizard Works is supposed to be making one. However, I haven't seen anything regarding information in a while. The most I've seen are some cheesy looking pics of a cel-shaded Gokou.

Don't worry good Captain. I'm not out to replace you. I was just a little bored and I needed to vent the frustration I have for Bush.

It's another WORD OF THE DAY quadrumane A four handed animal, such as a monkey or ape An arch-enemy of the human race, the deadly quadrumane, has come dangerously close to world domination. By inserting their leader, George W. Bush into the office of presidency, these deadly critters have gained the upper hand in our war of species. Although, George Bush had been accused of eating a bananna, while giving speeches, it is in fact his nose, pertruding from his face. With the defeat of the boring Robot Race's leader, Al Gore, the quadramane has become arrogant and cocky. Soon enough, our time to strike back against these devils will arise. No problem on doing the word of the day. These things are fun!

Well, I don't know about you guys, but I would have kept the ending to DragonBall GT the same. The last episode, is said by many to be the best, and I find myself agreeing with this notion.

Over time, human nature revealed that men were sexually attracted to women. As a result, women deleoped many uselesss terms that they could use to insult perverted men, without suspicion. In 1945, the United States government officially banned the word, ximelolagnia, when scientists found that when pronounced correctly, it is capable of killing dolphins and small rodents.

Wow, I'm almost at the hundred mark again. The only thing wrong with a large forum, is that it leaves potential for spammers galore. However, since V. 2.0 the Otaku has really cracked down on spamming. If you remember, spammers such as Big Poppa Hump, you'd know that he was here for at least a week or two. Someone like that wouldn't last a day here now. By the way, look, I've got a replica of Safer's avatar! :mrt:
Originally posted by kuja id hope you werent scared of me... that shouldnt be how a mod is... and i said i like a good arguement cause i get bored of people like zidane... who totally agree w/ everything i say :( ugh that is annoying... now on the magic summons... i meant you expected THIS movie to have it... where did other movies come into play? and as for grammer... you have to realize the average age of the people here... i already had people ask me what genitallia were... you try explaining that to a child... so i spell it like it sounds so that they know what is going on... and if i were gonna pull rank on you... i would have deleted your post not explained how you were wrong... and if you think about it the kiss came more like an hour after they died... did u see how far in space they were and they had to talk for a while... the movie took place over days not hours... his friends were not brutally injured... plus you have to realize death was an everyday thing for them... did u notice how affected they were when the guys in the wasteland died? none of them even cared... cause they were alive and that is what mattered... it was there way of dealing with it... for they had just saved each others lifes... yes thier friends had just died but they died so that aki/grey could live and they WANTED them to get together... but then you must be one of those guys who thinks w/ your pants not your heart and people ARE ignorant if they didnt see the beauty of the movie... while yes it did have its weak points (and a lot of them) it was a lot better then FF 7 or 8 in terms of fantasy which is what i expect to see in a FF game... while yes 7 and 8 were both wonderful games... this movie deserved the title more than the games did... and people tend to believe that these games are wonderful games and dont question them do they? now what is different about the movie? it wasnt what people expected from it... so that made it suck... but if you went to see a good FANTASY movie that is what you got... anyway i have to go talk to people who realize that the only thing to expect is the unexpected :) and that you are right as well as i am... so ill let you go think you are soooooooooooooooooo much older than me... since im so junior to you... thou i have been in college for 4 years now... and could easily be working for a company like blizzard or square in a year or 2... if i want to...
Man, I have to admire your endurance in this argument. You just keep coming back for more. So let's end it before it gets too old. Your opinions are as good as any. Anyway, I got the impression that you try to intimidate people with your status, when you said that I better watch what I say to you. I called you junior because of your mentality at the time, not your actual age. However, with that last post you really impressed me. I do have to point out a couple of things though. First of all, I re-watched the part of the movie that you were talking about and I disagree with you. That kiss did not take place hours after the deaths. You can clearly see the suffering planet beneath the ship. Even if you are right though, the directors shouldn't have placed that scene there. But this is not the reason that I do not like the film. After all, it's only one small flaw. Let me quote a bit of the IGN review: "As for the story, most of the dialog is pretty stale and the movie follows so many rehashed sci-fi and anime clichés that genre fans will probably find themselves groaning at a couple moments throughout the film." When I play a Final Fantasy game, I expect nothing but the best in quality. Perhaps my expectations for the film were a bit too high. In any case, I respect your opinion. Just remember though, people that didn't see this supposed "beauty" aren't ignorant. The good thing about a movie or a book, is that everyone can see it a different way, and that by no means makes people ignorant. It makes them unique.
Originally posted by kuja ahhhh finally someone w/ some balls... get boring to see everyone agree w/ me once i start to argue :) about my grammer... this is a message board i get my point across and that is what counts... yes FF 7 is the best game in the series... but it isnt the best final fantasy :) it is almost to real... as if it could happen in the future and im not thinking w/ my 'genitallia' i said TRUE LOVE will prevail over all... not sex, and if you KNEW what true love was you would understand... the comfort you feel around that person no matter what has gone on... the way they both tried to sacrifice themself to save other on many occasions... you just didnt see the beauty of the movie... u were looking for magic and summons and just didnt look for anything else... typical brainwashed child... and btw... im not that young since well only 1 god, 1 goddess here that is older than me... and im older than both 18 year old admin :) so u may wanna watch what you say
Kuja my boy, you should be a stone philosopher. You should have known when to quit. First off you spelled grammar wrong. Why do I care? Well, you said that I was unintelligent. You do make an interesting point about the TRUE LOVE theory. However, you stereotype people that don't like the film. You assume, that just because it doesn't have spells, I don't like it. Well junior, I like Grand Theft Auto 3 and there's no spells there. If they made a movie, I'd probably still like it. Actually, most movies that I watch, don't include magic spells. Now, before I mentioned that you made a good point about the TRUE LOVE theory. Well, let me ask you a couple of questions. Do you watch the news? Okay then, how many parents do you see sucking face when their children get brutally murdered? If your best friend died, wouldn't you mourn? If anyone's brainwashed it's someone that doesn't see the clear picture. They introduced Final Fantasy to Hollywood, and Hollywood, corrupted it in a way. That kiss should have been saved for the end, just before he died. Would the theme have been hurt at all? No. Would it be more believable? Yes. An interesting side note is that the ghosts resembled jell-o molds. Wow, that's really scary. The main attraction to a FF game, is the villain and how they relate to the hero or heroine. There was no fantasy in that film. It was sci-fi. Finally, you stated that you like a good argument. Well, there are ways to disagree. You're supposed to be a mod. Set an example and treat people with respect when you disagree. Once you call them "stupid" or "ignorant" you are in fact, lowering yourself. I've been here for a long time myself. I know how the rules go and I'm not afraid to mince words with moderators when they're wrong. Don't expect me to be intimidated by you one bit.

I just thought that I'd throw an interesting tid bit into the hat. I read that the WWF has started selling tickets for an event entitled "And the Invasion Continues," that will take place early next year. If this is indeed true, I hope that by "invasion" they are referring to the nWo. At the ppv, I expect Angle to double-cross the alliance. It would make sense, because last time Angle teamed with Austin, Austin double-crossed him. By working on the inside, Angle could screw the alliance over in the same exact manner.
Originally posted by kuja thing is... the movie was MORE final fantasy than 7 or 8 which both sucked as FF games... GREAT games but no fantasy... the spirts were fantasy... and the kiss... just showed how true love will prevail over all... but then your too young to understand that im sure... and if you actually gave any thought to the movie... u would realize who each character in the movie was to a game... but then that would involve some intelegence in that thing u attempt to call a brain... but people who didnt like the movie are ignorant and have to have things their way or the high way... this movie was AWESOME so get over the no magic stuff and enjoy the damn movie
Wow, that's deep. I'm twenty years old. You said in that little quote up there that "your too young to understand that.." Okay junior, first off, it's "you're" not "your." Anyway, if my buddies got brutally destroyed by monsters, I would be mourning for more than two minutes. You are obviously a youngster because you think with YOUR genitallia. Second of all, I'm entitled to my opinion. You have no right to insult me or my intelligence(which you spelled wrong). There are probably many people that did not like the movie. You claim that anyone that does not like the movie is ignorant? Do you know how ignorant that statement is? By the way, you broke the otaku board's rules by insulting me. In closing, you have a lot of growing up to do. Try to realize that not everyone likes what you like. I presented my opinion intelligently. I didn't just say that the movie "sucked." I gave my opinions on it. P.S. Final Fantasy 7 was, and remains the best in the series in my opinion. Chew on that.
Originally posted by coolkam007 what good deed hurts another creature?
Well, the native Americans killed animals to feed and clothe their families. I don't think that that was wrong. They actually worshipped the animals. In fact, if you've ever eaten meat, you'll understand that hurting and killing animals is a way of life.

Alright Everyone! This is where the Subject Goes!
Charles replied to Charles's topic in General Discussion
He's not a hero! He's an imposter!!! I'm the hero, get it straight. You sound like an evil villain to me! You must be in secret discussions with him to destroy the otaku and the world!! -
Well, that's kind of broad because technically you can cause another creature harm and do a good deed. Anyway, when you steal money you don't cause direct harm to a creature. Isn't that wrong? How about adultry?

How many of you actually know "right from wrong?" Your parents might say that they've taught you what's right, and wrong. So what are these values? Do they really exist or are they just manifestations of human morals and behavior? I bet that not one of you can easily tell me what right and wrong are.
