Oh geez, I can't believe most of these replies. Of course you should have lied to him. You told a teenage guy that your best sexual experience was with his good friend; how is that not going to stir up some ire and jealousy? Lying is an important part of relationships; sometimes your partner is going to purposely bait you and tell you they are not going to be mad at the truth--even when it is obvious they will be. Don't get me wrong--a healthy relationship is based on honesty, but when it comes to stupid questions in which the truth is more harmful than a lie, it's best to use discretion. Live and learn, I guess.
Though, if for some reason this ends up going to court, I say you should appear in a neck brace and crutches
lol, what? Oh well, no worse than my joke. :D

Write down your opinions on a slip of paper and tell them that it's only fair that you give them your two cents on the matter. Slip the note into an envelope and include two pennies. [/end thread]

Haha! I love how he even went as far as to just quote his old post. Great stuff.

There's wrong on both sides here. On one hand the couple violated the schedule, putting you at a disadvantage. On the other hand, you were somewhat of a slob and instead of leaving a note you should have spoken with them personally. It's easy for a note like that to sound cold. I would pay them back one-hundred dollars. If you do not pay them back anything, then talk will get out about you. Once you go to personally give them the money, there is a good chance that cooler heads will prevail and things will be cleared up. By the way, I like how you bolded "Last weekend, however, was a problem." That was an awesome touch. Edit: Also, couldn't you have invited your friends over while you were at the house? Sounds like a free party house.

Haha, take a chill pill Sandy.
Seriously, most of the game threads I've seen until now are utterly useless. For example that scramble thing. The posts only include the answer, a new scramble and a hint. What kind of quality is that?
Eh, it depends. I haven't bothered with the scramble thread but as long as the hint or puzzle, or whatever is creative and engaging, then the posts shouldn't necessarily need to involve long discussions. Don't mistake quality for post length. As long as something has a point and is enjoyable then it is of quality. Just look at the riddle event; that game is pretty cool, involves thought and doesn't involve long discussion. On the other hand, if a game is just spam and operates around nonesense, then obviously there's a problem. "You say a word, I say a word" games are generally a good example of that. Yeah, it's true that this is a discussion forum, but this place shouldn't put on a serious face all the time. Fun is important too; for me, fun is the most important.
It truly saddens me that this hasn't gotten any replies yet.
It's because it isn't Otaku fan fiction. Those are the only stories with sucking involved that get replies. Anyway, Doc's advice is good. Try rooting out unnecessary adverbs and overly descriptive narrative. Otherwise, you're off to a good start.

Eh, I'm mainly going to miss the big conferences. The nerdish part of me always derived excitement from seeing how the big three would outdo one another. But, I really did feel bad for the journalists who had to cover those things. I can just imagine braving huge crowds all day and working through the nights to cover everything. Personally I loved how crazy E3 time was but for journalists it had to be hellish.

Ooooh Dagger with the spell-ownage. Anyway these Kingdom Hearts posters are making me sick and tempting me to rebuke them with another awesome poster, but for now: -

Ack, all right. I fixed the link by hosting it myself. Anyways, here's another attempt: Edit: Here's some more: And I'll just provide the link for this one because those of you who have not seen Clerks 2 may find it offensive.
I was wondering when this would have come back from the dead[/SIZE']
Yikes, I didn't think I did a repeat thread. I was thinking about putting this in the Art Studio, but I decided not to because we're not really creating art, since we're using a program that generates these based on limited templates. This is basically using creativity to produce a message. Regardless, I did a couple searches in there before making this and didn't find it. If it was fairly recent, my bad. By the way, yours are pretty good. I like the steroids one. -
Hello all. As you know, I love posting images. Here is your chance to play the part of me and have good fun posting images too! This is a neat application that allows you to (as the title of my thread suggests) create your own motivation poster. Here is a link to the application: http://flagrantdisregard.com/flickr/motivator.php It's all relatively easy. Here is what I came up with: Of course, this thread is not limited to games, but I figured this would be a simple example of what you can do.

It looks like Sony may be stealing yet another idea; however, this time the theft was pretty much expected. According to EGM's Dan Hsu the Playstation 3 will be awarding their own version of Xbox 360 Achievements but will be calling them "entitlements." For those of you unaware, "ahievements" are goals incorporated into Xbox 360 games that, once met, increase your profile's gamer score. Also here is a link to a site that shows a size comparison between the Xbox 360 and the Playstation 3. Some of these are great. I really liked the Metal Gear Solid, Shenmue Resident Evil 4 and Hitman ones. I loved how they had Snake go into alert mode and the camera revealed that it was due to old women pushing shopping carts. The best part had to be when Snake ran behind the counter and into the back room. The cashier had kind of a "WTF" look on their face and moments later the manager chases Snake out. Great stuff. It's just too bad they didn't use the cardboard box. The impersonations these guys pulled off in the Resident Evil 4 and Shenmue skits were also dead-on. Although all of these skits fall into the "Jackass" mode comedy with people flailing around in front of a camera and acting stupid, the better ones do a fantastic job of showing the absurdity of games. The Shenmue skit in particular was a really good demonstration of how silly that game really was to begin with.

How do you picture earth and human's in 2039
Charles replied to liveinmybubble's topic in General Discussion
Eh, the date you picked is far too soon. The year 2039 is not the distant future or anything. Generally speaking, things probably will not be too different. -
#5 I used to be colourless and powerful But my status bounces up and down as much as my avatar. Charles?
I resent this riddle if it's me. The sensei of cAttitude resents being associated with a European spelling. My status is also a constant awesome. Anyway, I'm guessing #2 is blue jeans.

Although I've placed an advisory in the thread title, I will reiterate that these videos contain some explicit profanity, so do not click the links if you are either under seventeen or easily offended by swearing. At any rate, I have decided to share these videos because I find them hilarious not because of the swearing (I'm not so easily gratified) but because I can relate. I don't know how many of you played video games before and during the NES era, but back then, some titles were so infuriatingly difficult or just plain stupid that they literally became an exercise in madness. Some of these games, such as Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles, really frustrated me--especially the underwater dam where you had to defuse bombs. So, I find the little touches in these videos, such as the way The Angry Nintendo Nerd is blowing dust from the cartridge, or trying to reach an impossible pizza, genuinely funny. A lot of you will be turned off by the swearing, but I feel that a lot of the humor is really clever, like the editing in the "Back to the Future" video. Nonetheless, I do think that some of the cussing is actually funny and reminds me of the madness I used to feel when playing these games (although it wasn't nearly this bad lol). Here are the videos: Karate Kid Castlevania 2: Simon's Quest Roger Rabbit Back to the Future Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles Dr. Jekyll and Mr. Hyde Many times we create nostalgia threads looking back at our favorite gaming moments, so it'll be interesting to look at the frustrating points. I, for one, would love to see this guy do an episode dedicated to Battletoads. Battletoads had so much potential. I liked the art style, and the personality of the game. The animation was even impressive--like when your Battletoad's fist would grow when he landed an especially devastating blow. However, once the first level was over, the difficulty skyrocketed on the hovercraft level. You couldn't actually see what was coming ahead of you and placing jumps felt nearly impossible. The whole level relied on memorization and a lot of luck. Once I finally did complete the level, I only had one life left and perished on the next stage--at which point I had to restart the entire game. So, which game would you like to see this guy do? What games did you find severely frustrating or unfair?

Well, the original question has been addressed and now mod chips are being discussed in here so I'm going to call it quits for this thread. By the way FoxRider590, take a look at our rules and please refrain from double posting. Use the "edit" button if you need to go back and add something. Also, posting a bunch of "thank you" messages repeatedly is spamming; perhaps you could regulate those kinds of replies to private messages. And lastly, using anime smilies such as ^^ is against the rules so please avoid it at all costs. Well, all right, I'm lying and those smilies aren't against the rules, but they should be. Man, I hate those things.
