They were no match for you Jedi mind tricks! Also, when I'm finished Murakami, I'll have to read The Unbearable Lightness of Being. There was another author that's similar to Kundera that I've been meaning to look up, but I can't remember his name!

Judging by the win, I'd wager that the rust was convincingly shaken off. Stretching those boundaries and inventing new rules in the course of writing are always good things. On a related note, Sputnik Sweetheart is shaping up pretty good, so far. I was reminded of it because a character in there is an aspiring writer.

Hey, at least those poor cubicle dwelling folks are sort of in touch with nature - minus the fun. I'm not sure why I didn't notice it (too busy not thinking, I guess) but I can click on that badge-thing. It looked like an interesting idea, something to get the writer's mind turning. Looking back on it, what do you think of it, your writings for it?

Ah, so you've had to experience the all that smoke too. It's like being at a Pink Floyd concert, these past few days. Hey, what's that snazzy "Prose" in your member title?

March 26 2010!? Sign in, man! Yes, I find you everywhere with my lurking skills, eh?

By the way, have you started the book-bonfire without me? I can see and smell the smoke from way over here. Right now, there's an orange moon in the sky.

I tend to by lots of philosophy books, so I'm somewhat aware of the content when I look them up online. It's not too much of a problem if I can't size it up in person. But with fiction, I do like flipping the actual book over. Ever grab those really dusty book in bookstores that leave your fingers incredibly dirty? Don't they ever dust around the books!?

I dislike the idea that with those things, you need a power supply. It's like working with an appliance that doesn't really do anything. By the way, this copy of Sputnik Sweetheart has some seriously messed-up pages. It looks like the publishing company cut the edges of the pages with a plastic butter knife.

Oh yeah, movies can be downloaded too. Who would have thought! I thought that maybe you had one of those ebook readers, like Kindle. It's like reading a book...but it's not a book! Genius invention, that one.

I do the same most of the times: I pick up books that interest me. Most of the time I find interesting books when I'm buying them online. I can spend hours searching for books, haha. Reminds me that I'll have to make another purchase sometime soon.

Is it a pdf file? I have a couple of books in that format, but I haven't read too many of them. Staring at a white screen for long periods of time really hurts the eyes. And I'm not exactly willing to print out 200 or more pages.

I've got so many books to read and study that the coming decade is taken up. I may have an opening in the year 2021 (provided we make it past 2012), so I'll keep that series in mind.

The Girl Who Played With Fire looks like an interesting read (+700 pages!). I recognized the author from another book of his that I did hear about, The Girl Who Kicked The Hornet's Nest. That one seems to be the finale, so I should start at the beginning. Hey, learn some formal logic and you can speak robot!

Did you lose a bet and had to read Twilight? I've read only a minor side story from the Dark Tower series, which was "The Little Sisters of Eluria". I've yet to tackle that series, so how is it, anyways?

I like some of King's works, especially his older collections of short stories. Everything's Eventual is not bad. In any event, you deserve an award for reading Twilight and surviving.

Textbooks, haha! Lend me Continuing Korean and I'll lend you a logic book. I've not read The Girl Who Played with Fire. I'll look it up to see the premise. I should also read some Rushdie, since I've never read any of his stuff, believe it or not. I'm FINALLY going to read Sputnik Sweetheart, though (months later). Just finished re-reading Camus' Outsider. Still stra...

Hey, it's the pretty new friend a couple of comments below mine! She has good taste in books.

Tell me when it's time to make some books toasty roasty, and I'll see what I can contribute! Otherwise, read anything good lately?

So, is this where you've been hiding and writing your "Wuthering Heights" fanfic?
