1. That had to be the grandest sauce ever, like something God would eat.

2. Though I don't consider it a secret shame, I'm with ProMunkie on the whole Facebook thing. I'll never join it, but not for my elitist snobby reasons (which I save for other things!), but I just like to keep my 'net homes to a minimum: theotaku, and here, and that's it really. I just can't keep up with multiple social networking sites. Halo: I never play games anymore, but it was around and in its prime when I did; but I never played it. I love those kinds of games, but for some odd unexplainable reason, I never did try it. I'll probably never play it now, since I've moved on to other things which demand all my time and effort. But it's still strange how I never ever played that one! Gone with the Wind: Another classic film I've not seen, and I'm not sure if I'll ever be interested in this. It just never grabbed me. Maybe when I'm ready for my rocking chair I'll give this one a go. Any Rynd: As a thinker, one would think I would have read her stuff already. It seems almost every one else has, but her stuff just doesn't interest me. I was going to think of some anime, too, but then the floodgates opened: there's too many classics I've never watched, or I've only seen maybe one or two episodes from some series. I've only seen one episode of Naruto, which is strange since I've read and liked the manga. If I can think of more stuff, I'll add 'em!
3. Hangover from spaghetti and meatballs, my good sir? And, yo.

4. The country would definitely lose its way; kinda like when the devil tempted Jesus to buy that Harley Davidson.

5. The Big Mac attack would have taken on a whole new meaning, I bet.

6. Canada would lose its way without us. Kinda like losing a moral compass, I think.

7. I deeply apologize if I toppled a sacred belief of yours.

8. That's why we order hamburgers, which sadly aren't from Hamburg.

9. Wow, why haven't we been kicked out of Canada yet?

10. And with that question, all the citizens of Saskatchewan (all 200 of 'em) cried at once.

11. And then we order a round of Freedom Fries!

12. Not in the eyes of the CBC it isn't!

13. An awkward handshake and nervous smile?

14. I think their economy survives on comedy and fish alone.

15. I kinda wish we did have a heavy accent. Something authoritative, yet suave.

16. If we ever meet, we'll have to converse in French only just to see who mangles the language the fastest.

17. But it's a nice accent, eh? (Seriously, who uses "eh"?)

18. I learned French in elementary school and then quickly forgot most of it! It's not to useful a language in Canada outside of Quebec - especially in the west.

19. I hope you mention toques in the podcast.

20. is so démodé, yet fetch.

1. CaNz

CaNz

Are you in french Canada old friend? if so... that is pretty fetch.

2. Shinmaru

Shinmaru

Stop trying to make fetch happen. It's not going to happen.

21. Is it me, or is the Dark Side like puberty: bad complexion, bad attitude, and amusing voice.

22. I'm occupying my free time with Logical Dilemmas: The Life and Works of Kurt Godel, by John Dawson. This biography is in some respects a step above Rebecca Goldstein's Incompleteness, also on Godel. While the former assumes that the reader is familiar with foundational concepts in mathematics, the latter doesn't go too deeply into the formal logic. Dawson's book presents the facts as if he were doing a formal demonstration, which kinda fits the subject in some ways. However, Godel was one odd guy despite the rigor of his work: as he grew older he became intensely paranoid, which finally claimed him, sadly. His life, at times, echoes John Nash's life, as presented in Sylvia Nasar's A Beautiful Mind. But Godel didn't reemerge the way Nash did, but went progressively deeper into himself. All in all, it's a fine book so far. I'm sure I'll return to it again and again...
23. Well, the Gunslinger Girl Il Teatrino OVA indeed was a short series for fans only. It kinda felt like the 2 episodes comprising it were leftovers from the main Il Teatrino story. But at least it was consistent with it, and didn't take any sharp turn into what-the-hell anime (which is kinda good and bad). Overall, I enjoyed the entire Gunslinger Girl story. That's all I really have to say about it. I'll wait until I finish GitS before I start either Yukikaze or Magic Knight Rayearth, though. I noticed that I kinda dig watching shorter OVA's and 12-14 episode series more than I do 26 ep. series. Maybe Blood+ fouled my taste-buds more than I thought it did.
