1. Crude humor is definitely up my alley and P&S has been turning up in the news a lot lately so I'm jonesing for this series. Â I'm not into online streaming though (don't ask) so I'm wondering if/when there's going to be a DVD release. Â Anyone heard anything?
2. Don't forget Cody Rhodes, Ted DiBiase and Drew McIntyre on that list. Â They're doing pretty well right now in the mid-card but any one of them could be the next breakout star. Â They've all had gold already and are all pretty well established as far as staying power goes. Â And as a Mizfit I was estatic when Miz too the title. Â I predicted he would have done that at the Pay-Per-View but alls well that ends well. Â Hopefully he'll garner more attention than Sheamus did during his title reign. Â Although his feud with Santino was a lot more entertaining by far. Plus with Cena out of action for a while the Miz and the Nexus won't have to share the spotlight with the company's golden boy. Â The next few weeks are going to be very interesting.
3. I watch anime reruns via my obsenely large collection of DVD box sets.
4. None that evade my memory but my brain cycles between Caramelldansen and the theme from Robot Unicorn Attacks most of the time. Â Sometimes I wish I could forget about them. Â
5. I fondly remember a bunch of levels in Battletoads back on the NES. Â The one where you're riding those hoverbikes through the tunnel, the one where you had to jump from one giant snake to another and that god-awful swimming level with all the spikes and hammer fish. And speaking of swimming levels the third stage of the old Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles game (also on the NES) was one of the most frustrating in gaming history. Â It won an award in some magazine or another. Seems like water/swimming levels are all like that. Â Continuing the trend I can clearly recall a level called "Poison Pipeline" from Donkey Kong Country 3 - Dixie's Double Trouble. Â It was a lot like the other two I mentioned above but the worst part was the fact that the controls were all reversed. Â If you pressed forward you went backwards. Â Up was down. Â It was extrememly frustrating and I wound up holding the controller upside down to finish the thing.
6. There are a lot of people for whom sharing a meal with their family isn't an option. Â Plus a lot of people just don't like turkey. Â Â Â
7. Happy birthday dude!

8. I've been into RPing for around 5 years or so and most of that time has been spent on a Skies of Arcadia RP site. Â I've even tried my hand at running a few sites of my own, one being a Star Fox RP and another being a Pirates Vs. Ninjas board. Â I'm not quite as spry as I used to be but I'm still writing for the SoA site at the moment.
9.
I am considering whether to work on Hetalia, Black Butler, or Soul Eater. Thoughts?
I would recommend Soul Eater to anyone who enjoys anime.  It's one of those series that only comes along every so often and manages to win on every level.  It's one of the best titles I've seen in ages.  Definitely check it out if you have the chance.
10.
Also, The Tentacle... loads of people feel the exact same way as you do, (read the thread, they all said the same stuff!) but the people who do like to let loose and have a drink dislike it when people imply that we have no good reason to do so. I doubt you meant it that way, but it did kinda come across 'uppity' even though you didnt want it to be.
I get that a lot. Â People think I'm preachy just because I don't conform to the societal norm. Â Some even get offended because I won't "loosen up" and have a drink with them. Â This is just my personal choice on the matter and I have my reasons for thinking this way. Â
And that's just food for "Well of course you don't see it, because you never tried it". Any cool reason why you're not up for alcohol?
I'm already being accused of sounding uppity, hence I will not state my reasons nor say anything else on the matter. Â Â Â
11. I am proud to say that I'm a devoted Straight-Edge. Â I have never consumed any sort of alcoholic beverage and I don't see how it'd make me feel any better during a tragedy if I did. Â Don't mean to sound uppity but that's just how I roll.
12. I'm a fan of the Fairy Tail manga but I was unaware that there was an anime version of it. Â Is it licensed for release outside of Japan? Â (I'm not into streaming anime online btw.) At the moment I'm watching Sengoku Basara. Â It's not the best anime I've seen but it's not the worst either. Â The fight scenes just plain suck, especially considering the series is based on a Capcom fighting game. Â Most of the exchanged involve one character flying at another in a blaze of energy, creating a big explosion. Â Definitely not up to the standards of Dead Fantasy (or even Shadow Skill). Â <--- That was intended to be a low blow btw. But as a person with an interest in Japanese history and mythology the idea of notable historical figures duking it out in a free-for-all brawl is too good to pass up. Â Takeda Shingen alone would have made this show worth watching but there are so many others I can't even begin to list them. Â I also just finished Shikabane Hime. Â Awesome show with a compelling storyline. Â It was nice and dark with amazing depth to the characters. Â The circumstances made me not only feel sympathy for the villains but also want to punch the so-called good guys in the face at times. Â It was just a huge, dramatic train wreck that made it really hard to pick a side or make a decision as to who was wrong or right. Sadly the ending pretty much ruined the series. Â I won't spoil it for you simply because I can't. Â The ending was.....well, there honestly wasn't one. Â It just sorta trailed off, leaving you to wonder wtf you just saw. Â I kept waiting for the next episode to begin or the second season to be announced but it never happened. Â
13.
my addition is the Anime called s-CRY-ed. It may have a meaning... but it is never even mentioned in the Anime.
I vaguely recall reading somewhere that the term actually refers to the characters' ability to synchronize with their Alters, thus becoming more powerful. Â But yeah, that bit of pertinent info was never provided in the anime when clearly it should have been.
14. This thread is about those anime series that have the most obtuse and nonsensical titles you've ever heard.  These are titles that not only have little to do with the series they're tacked onto but make very little sense in general.  I can think of two off the top of my head: 1.  Kiddy Grade - Kiddy Grade sounds like a slice-of-life series based on the lives of elementary school children.  That would make sense at least.  But it's not.  It's a sci-fi action series set in the distant future.  Unless you're counting the two female loli characters there is nothing kiddy about it.  And wtf are they grading?  Eh, I'll give the series itself a B+ for awesome character designs and an engaging storyline.  But as far as the title, yeah that gets an F. 2.  Plastic Little - I can't even think of anything to say about this title.  Plastic Little doesn't conjure up any sort of mental image for me.  Is it a toy?  Stewart's brother?  I don't get it at all.  And of course the title has absolutely nothing to do with the actual show.  Plastic Little is another futuristic sci-fi show.  It's not all that great.  The storyline kinda sucked and the finale was horrible.  To be honest I only watched it for the fan service.  Hmm, maybe that's it. Plastic Little refers to breast implants and the main character's petanko angle. Yeah, that's a stretch but it's the best I can come up with.
15. A few of my faves are; Saliva, Evanescence, Buck Cherry and Cage The Elephant.
16. HAPPY BIRTHDAY TO YOU!

17. Epic events that failed: 1. Â May 5th 2000 - Planetary conjunction (all planets in perfect alignment) that was supposed to shift the gravitational axis of the earth and turn the planet over on its side. Â 2. Â The Year 1998 - According to Patlabor giant robots were supposed to be in mass production worldwide for use in the construction industry. 3. Â The Year 1997 - This was the year that the "End Day" occurred in the NES classic Crystalis, plunging the world into post-apocalyptic chaos.Â
18. This thread is devoted to anime that we might have seen during our childhood and can't quite remember now. Â If you have such a memory post what you can recall here and maybe someone on the OB has seen or heard about it. Mine comes from.....,well probably before some of you were born. Â I remember seeing an anime movie about a pair of chipmunks from the city trying to find their way back to the forest. Â I can't recall may details other than their names. The male chipmunk was called Glicko and the female was No-no. Â There was also a movie called Voltus 5 that I remember watching several times. Â And the Thunderbirds anime was also being aired at the same time. Â I don't remember much about them though. Â Â
19. Don't quote me on this but I think they have people to do the inking for them. Â And someone probably adds the text in for them too.
20. You guys have no idea how frustrating the second disk of Xenogears was.  I played the game shortly after I finished FFVII and I was hard pressed to choose which of these two RPG juggernauts was the best game.  But I ultimately chose FFVII simply because of the shoddy quality of Xenogears' second half.  There were at least three or four action levels that only showed up as flashbacks and a few stand-alone boss battles to continue the story up until the final dungeon.  And you could tell that the levels were indeed cut out because one of said levels actually appeared on the overground map but was inaccessible. Watching a walkthrough after hearing rumors of this doesn't compare to the hair-pulling frustration a lot of us felt when we made the initial discovery. EDIT:  And just to stay on topic I hit up ScottishDuck's LP series on Skies of Arcadia and our own Desbreko's vids for Ocarina of Time and Majora's Mask whenever I need to refresh my memory.
21. Wendee Lee holds a special place in my memories.  She voiced Yuri in the original Dirty Pair movie Project Eden and that was the show that really got me into anime.  So yeah, having her as a part of any series voice cast is a selling point for me.  But her portrayal of Konata was something new even after so many years of being a fan.  Some of the most priceless moments in LS were when Konata was talking about Haruhi.  Hearing Wendee Lee griping about another character she portrayed was hilarious.  And watching Konata cosplay as Haruhi while speaking in Haruhi's voice was the icing on the cake.
22. Aeris' death scarred me for life. Â Another moment was in Xenogears when
the Actzen arrives to attack Shevat and Maria realizes that her father's souls is trapped inside of Actzen's core and only her Seibzen will be able to combat it. Â The way she was forced to fight a twisted, evil version of her mechanized father was bad enough but when, in the last moments, a recording made by her father when he was still himself is triggered and Seibzen's ultimate weapon is unlocked and turned on Actzen
.....yeah, that was really tough to watch. But I'll add another facet to this discussion and suggest the shedding of tears of joy as well. Â Anyone reached a point in a game where you were just so overwhelmed by some positive turn of events that you couldn't help but get a little emo about it? For me one such moment was in Skies of Arcadia when
Vyse and his crew were so dejected after the Rains of Destruction wiped out Valua that even the normally unflaggable Vyse was feeling discouraged. Â Then Drachma arrives bringing along all of the friends Vyse and his crew had met during the adventure. Â In that moment the odds are evened up and they go from a lone ship standing against an armada to a vast fleet of heroes ready to save the day.
That part of the story had me on the edge of my seat cheering for the good guys.
23. I liked Strike Witches.
For me, there was just something oddly relaxing about this show. No world to save, no "OMG THIS BOY HATES ME BUT I'LL WIN HIS HEART" drama, none of that. Just a rather relaxing, good natured, good humored  show.
SEE!  Sango-Chan gets it.  That's sorta the reason I like Lucky Star but I'm also in it for the anime references and voice acting.  I admit that 24 episodes was a little excessive but I never felt like the show was getting repetitive. Anyway, I'm watching Xamd: Lost Memories right now.  So far it's awesome and very reminiscent of Eureka 7 but without a whiny Renton character in the mix.  I'll give a more thorough review once I've finished the first DVD set.
24. Stars? Like the ones you wish on? And tell your sister that black licorice is tasty. Good N Plenty is better than the rope kind though.

25. I viewed the GIF and was confused as to why the lady didn't appear to be wearing the apparel mentioned in the thread's title.  My bad. Is their a trailer for this series somewhere?  I will withhold judgement until I've sampled it.
