Spyder fell quickly asleep, but was rudely awakened a moment later by the left wall of the apartment collapsing outwards and a large, hovering gargoyle replaced it. Gargoyle: You must come with me now. Spyder: Why? Gargoyle: The Lord has summoned you. It sems your recent actions have not gone according to His divine plans. Spyder: I don't care - The Lord disowned me. Davien: What is going on? Who is "the Lord"? Spyder: Prince of Darkness, satan, whatever. Not god. Davien: Ahh. (to gargoyle) I will deliver her to your Lord in the correct time. Leave us. The gargoyle, a mere messenger, obeyed the command. The wall was restored. Spyder: You aren't actually going to take me there, are you? Davein: Of course not. I don't know how. You will be taking me there. Spyder: What? Why? Davien: No, you tell me why. Spyder sighs and leans back into his arms.

Spyder opens her eyes once more to find Davien staring down at her. He smiles when he sees she has regained consciousness. She smiles back, and closes her eyes once more, groaning and stretching her arms. Davien: What on earth happened to you? Spyder: Nothing on earth. I wasn't here. Davien: I see. Where did you go? Spyder: Well, let me see. First of all I went to the depths of hell, where I had a chat to the devil, and then I went to Place of NonEternity and tried to end myself, then I went to heaven and talked to God, I told it that it didn't exist and it said that's right, and I asked it why it didn't let me die and it didn't answer me properly, and then it gave me a choice of achieving something I have wanted ever since I have came into being or throwing it all away and being with you. She opened her eyes once more and found Davien holding her tightly, tears streaming down his face. Spyder: I love you. It's ruined everything, but I don't care.

Spyder opened here eyes to the familiar sight of the cold, dark, brick wall of Davien's apartment. She looked around, her drained eyes only barely registering the boarded window and the rope. Sapped of all energy and emotion, she fell to the ground with a thud and lay there, hoping the choice had ben made in enough time.

...immediately the dark turns to light and everything is blinding. She realised that the poles ad been inverted, and she was in Heaven. Created and existing only out of the beliefs of millions of humans. She swears and stands perfectly still, waiting for her next lecture fromt eh second powerful entity that week. God/ess: What do you want. Spyder: Straight to the point, aren't we? God/ess: Don't **** me around. I don't have time. Spyder: Oh, and I did, so I suppose that made me a worthy candidate? God/ess: You didn't follow the rules, Anne. The being shocked Spyder by using her christened name. Spyder: Why did you not let me die? God/ess: I didn't think you deserved it. Spyder: And why was it your decision who deserved what? God/ess: I created you. Spyder: No, you didn't. You started off a chain reaction that accidentally led to me. Who are you trying to fool? There are no rules. You don't even exist. God/ess: How do you explain this, then? Spyder: You exist only because of an accident. it was coincedence that people came into being. It was back luck that turned them into such vile creatures. It was progression and evolution that made them capable of such destruction. And they created you, and solely for the purpose of keeping their own perception of 'order' and giving them a reason to keep going. God/ess: Why are you talking to me, then? Spyder(crying): Because I needed you as much as anyone else. I am not at fault for my own existance. I cannot be blamed for my actions, because they are not wrong. But I was human, once, even they couldn't fool me to believe otherwise. And I needed you for the same reason they did. God/ess: Why didn't you turn out like the rest, Spyder? Anne: Because I know. God/ess: Know what? Anne: Everything. God/ess: You are right. Tell me, though, who you are. Spyder: I am Spyder. Spyder and Anne are different people. Anne was the person they wanted me to be. Spyder is the person who stands above you now, and I have always been in this form, and this form is stronger every time they tried to repress it. God/ess: And so you knew. You are right. For this, I shall give you what I can. What that is you must tell me. Spyder thought about her life/death-long search for the end, for the non-existance of human life, or at least her own. But then again, everything was a chain reaction and a consequense with something else... and there was no one to blame. She knew the counter made no sense. But she saw the incredible figure standign behind it, and she knew he did not stand behing her ending... Bowing to the creation below her, Spyder closed her eyes and made her wish.

Spyder stepped out of the cavern and into complete and utter nothingness. It took her breath away, every time. One slip here and it cost you your time. It had to be time, because life here meant nothing, as did existance. Belief here was the key. And that was to shaky to base form on... so here, death was your loss of time. But no mistakes, no mistakes. She remembered her first time here, when she was told to walk across the cosmos of everyhting and nothing and to make no mistakes. At all. Everything was to be perfect. Laughing inside, she thought to herself, "Well, at least it made you a better person." But she wasn't a person. When she was born, she was called an angel. When she grew up, she was a devil. When she began, she was inhuman. By the time she had finished, she was insane. By the time of her first death, she was a vampyre. By the time of her second, she was a daemon. Now, she was nothing, less than nothing, she wa a vacuum of thought and time itself ignored her. Love hurt unbearably. She had always considered herself strong, but here, on the edge of the indescribable, she crumbled beneath the emotion. The fifth element. Her previous being. She breathed deeply, in time, perfectly stable, as she had been taught. Then, she stepped forward, and faltered...

RPG For lo! If death should have a face...

OOC: Bluuuurk!!! Anathema consults her radar and finds there to be a few rather large and fast jets on her tail. Sighing, she puts her seatbelt on and secured her headset. Anathema: Guys, take a look out of your left window. Rear wards. Does anybody recognise the make of those things? Angel: What things? .... ah, yes... nasty. Anathema: Well? Belthazar: Worry not, our fathful pilot - there should be a ATA* in here somewhere... They begin searching through the large weaponry and Anathema flies on steadily, lowering her altitude in case of a crash and grumbling something about faith and helicopter pilots from hell... *Air to Air missile. -
Spyder: See, this is why I love you. She walks up behind him and encircles his middle with her arms, burying her face into his back and sighing. He turns to her and smiles down at her, before grabbing the skeleton before it is swept away and dragging part of it onto the shore. One massive arm of the creature would be enough for a sufficent raft, as the bones of this creature were naturally hollow, like bamboo, and no flotational devices were needed if a sufficient frame was constructed. Spyder took her dagger and began cutting long, thin vines from above, while Harlequin began hacking at the cartilage securing the bones to their original frame. Using the vines as rope, they soon had constructed a sturdy raft that held the two of them a foot above the water and balanced rather well.

Anathema checks the semi-conscious Kain. Turning to Terran, she sees little emotion in his eyes. Anathema: Yuugi. Where did you last see him? Terran: Up over the edge of the valley, on the edge of the forest. We were in sight of the village. But that was hours ago... Anathema: Where do you think he could be now? Terran: Well, judging by the number of vampyres, I would say that either they ran.... west, or are pretty tied up still. Anathema: Or dead. Terran: Always a possibility, but I doubt it with Yuugi. Anathema: You said they would have ran west. Why is that? Terran: Off the mountain, warmer climate, western civilisation, easy walking. Anathema: Just an assumption, then. Terran: Well, yeah, but.. Anathema: And a damn good one too, I wouldn't have figured that out under the pressure we are in. Besides, you are right...*she looks up at the snowy peaks*there really isn't anywhere else to go. Terran: Where were you two headed, then? Anathema: Shelter. I found a cave this morning. Terran: Right, well... take Kain to it. Can you manage? Anathema smirks. Terran: ok... you do that and I will get Yuugi. We will find you easily if you give me a direction from here...? Anathema: Due east from here. Slight slope, breach the ridge and you can see it clear as day. Terran nods and runs back up the side of the valley, leaving Anathema to lug Kain onto her shoulder and trudge upwards in the thickening snow. She pauses half way and reaches down, picking up a handfull of ice and pressing it to the steaming, black wound in her side, her eyes watering from the pain.

Spyder pricks her ears at the sound of running water, and turns to Harlequin to alert him. He too has stopped, but when Spyder opens her mouth to ask what is wrong he motions for her to be quiet, and suddenly leaps at her, knocking her to the ground. A dark shape leaps across the space where they stood and a snarl tears the air, followed by a soft thud as the thing lands. Spyder gathers enough courage to turn her head and see the thing, and finds the head of a large, male bengal tiger not one foot from her face. He is crouched, ready to swipe at her face should she move. Carefull not to show her teeth, however, Spyder smiles and half closes her eyes, hissing at the huge cat and blinking at it slowly. Harlequin does not move, and soon enough the strong feline relaxes and Spyder reaches forward quickly, scratching it behind the ear with her long nails. The tiger yawns and rolls onto her hand, and she gets up and kneels next to the tiger, scratching it's back all the way down the spine. Turning to the stunned Harlequin, she smiles once more. Spyder: Thanks for saving my head, my love... Harlequin: Any time. Spyder: I was just going to say that the river should be just ahead. Can you hear it? Harlequin: Yes, I could. I'll go and check it out, should I? Spyder: I'll catch up to you. Harlequin runs off as Spyder continues to play with the cat, scratching it's neck and back and returning the playfull bats to the head that it throws at her, nearly dislodging her at the neck but meaning well none the less. After a minute or so, a sound in the bushes alerts the tiger, and Spyder stands slowly and walks away in plain sight.

The group emerge from the cemetery and cross the road, a light rain is now falling and the traffic is minimal. However, one car does speed around the corner at a horrendous pace and flattens Spyder across the asphalt. Her terrifically mangled body, being immortal, bursts into flames and disappears, leaving Davien and Cathos staring at a smoking piece of road. Meanwhile, in the Pits of Hell... Satan: So, you managed to get hit by a car, did you? Spyder: Seems so. Satan: Clap, clap, clap. Spyder: Cut the sarcasm, ok? I am not meant to be here. Satan: Oh, where would you like to go? Purgatory? Limbo? I can arrange a nice little cruise down the river Styx if you like... Spyder: What is your problem? Satan: Shut up, you little sluttish whore. I have no sympathy. You are pathetic. You are the most disgusting, pathetic excuse for a demon that I have ever seen and if I could wipe out your very existance, I would. Spyder: But here we are. Satan: So what now? Spyder: I want to go back. Satan: Well, excuse me if I may take much pleasure in not letting you do that ever again. Spyder: Is this meant to be my punishment, is it? Satan: Well, yes, but only because I couldn't think of anything better at the time. Spyder: You disgust me. Satan: Ow. Spyder: I love him. Satan: Pity you didn't tell him that when you had the chance... Spyder: Tell me, Angel Lucifer, did you ever love someone? Satan: **** off out of my sight. I don't care where you go, go to Heaven for all I care, just never let me see you again. Spyder: No, I think I might stay for a chat, actually. Satan: Listen, Spyder. You have no idea to what lengths I will go to put you in immense pain for all eternity. So take the chance I am giving you for a reason I cannot explain. Spyder: I am sorry, my Lord. Satan: I know. You can go now. Spyder leaves the chamber and Satan watches her leaving, a pained look on the devil's face.

Hey - I love the uk simply because you can't get a tan. I am proud of being the pales person I know! It does suck though, that in some places (*cough* york *cough*) it's raining 362 days of the year. Nice city though. Real nice.... the closest thing you can get to a beach in england has to be that nightclub in waterloo, you know, the beach... hehehe... ahem. -
Anathema: Not very, but then again my mother was a mountain goat. Davien: Oh really... who was your father? Anathema: A mountain goat, of course. What kind of sick person do you think my mother was? Davin: Sorry.... Anathema: Only joking. I was an orphan. Davien: I think I vaguely remember asking for this story... Anathema:Tell me. Davien: Tell you what? Anathema: What's not important. Why you are doing this. You tell me that and I will tell you the story of my mountain-incestic-orphaned life. Davien(laughing): That's hardly fair. Anathema(stopping and turning to face him): I really don't care, you know...

Anathema: That's not safe, we don't know where we are, and if we are found by the vampyres, we wouldn't be able to take on more than say... twenty.... well, not with me injured like this anyway. Davien: :therock: Whatever... we will have to find some sort of shelter then. Anathema: Well, we can't go back to the village, there would be no point... those houses are made of paper and driftwood. Davien: Well, our only hope is a cave, or something... what do you know, geographically, of this area? Anathema: Well, the forest extends into a valley, which is split by a wide stream of molten snow. There are unguarded bridges, but it marks the border of the empires anyway. There is a sheer cliff face on the other side of the valley, higher up, in the cul-de-sac where the stream originates. That's all I know. Davien: Have you been there before? Anathema: I took a walk this morning. It's not that far.

Anathema stands, leaning against the tree behind her. She takes a deep breath and then screams, a peircing, wailing sound escapeing from her lips and ringing Davien's ears. He looks alarmed, but Anathema smiles once she has silenced herself a moment or two later. Hissing sounds fade from the trees, and a silence falls, to be filled with the sounds of forest activity a moment later. Davien: What was that? Are you ok? Anathema: Just a way of releasing pain I have pent up inside me. And with some luck, the others might know where we are now. Davien: That hurt. Anathema: Sorry, but it had to be done, or I would have passed out again. It hurt me too, but it will be better later. A spiritual thing, if you will. Shall we continue? Where are we? I thought we were on a pathway before....

Ok, here is a picture of alexandrian coastline. It's dark, so you can't see anything, but as I suspected, there will not be any pictures of how it really is, so when I scan my photos i will show you. But I like the sunset in this one anyway. -
Meh, I'd like to see it anyway. This Dungeons and Dragons stuff is so stylised and formative that it scares me somewhat....

Whats Your Beaches Like (If you have them)
Ravenstorture replied to Frankie's topic in General Discussion
My, you have quite a hand with photography... or that beach is just one of those places that look beautiful in any photo. My opinion was that north queensland had the most beautiful beaches in the world, where the rainforest meets the sea, as they say, and the great barrier reef helps, too... but my favorite beach in the world is Komos beach, on crete, southern greece. It's the longest beach in greece, I think, and it is so nice... mmmm, nice... warm all night, and you can test if the water is too cold to swim by turning aroung and facing east, you can see the mountain tips, if the snow caps more than three mountains, stay away from the water. That's if you are sane, which I am not, so.... yeah. Never do that again, that's for sure... The beach on Alexandria is so covered in rubbish and crap that it's actually a heath hazard to swim there. People dump truckloads of rubbish onto it daily, and you can't walk on it anymore. In fact, most of Egypt is like that.... When I get photos organised I will post them. -
I never said that, but I am willing to take it's word. Why? Where do you get your information from? Am I meant to take offence from that? Why are you questioning my sources? What's wrong with them? The information above is a precis of about three thousand words that I skimmed out of an american book on phenomena published last year, if that helps. You could tell that by the movie, anyway... if none of the people who saw it went to church, they wouldn't have been taken seriously. The book supports this, as does a few websites. The movie, from the info I have read, is startlingly accurate for something with Richard Gere in it, seemingly as he has often had a hand in slaughtering certain historical tales.... And as for Chicken and Amphion, when people open a thread with a topic named "The Mothman Prophecies", they expect that they will be reading a thread concerning just that - info about the mothman prophecies. So don't fill people's threads with arguments that have nothing to do with a 7 foot mythalogical creature called the Mothman that, surprisingly, this thread happens to be about. I have argued with people through email, and I have argued with people through PMs, believe me, it's alot more satisfying, easy, LEGAL and much less spammish. So save us the agony of listening to your banter and cut it out. Remember, I know where you live.

There have been more than one hundred sightings all around the world since the 1970's. Nothing of norway, however, alot of UFO's there though.... Point Pleasant was only famous because it was american, and everyoen there went to church so they believed them. Until then, they just called the rest of the sighters crazy.

Ahem. That's startling to see, Cloricus, but I think I know where you picked it up.... Here is a question to get everyone back on track: What is the International Space Station? Why was it created? What function does it perform? Is it beneficial for the world in general, or is it just another stupid stunt pulled by NASA and their "connections" to establish a better reputation on the space scene, and to claim yet another bit of space to shove warheads into? What makes it international?
