4. I am looking for a (free?) program that will take a movie that is in AVI format and burn it to a DVD that will play in a non-computer DVD player (such as the one hooked up to my TV). This is proving to be a far more difficult task than it should. Through all my searching and downloading and testing of programs, I have yet to find a single program that does this with ease. Either I get cryptic error messages and the burning process never starts, or it burns the DVD, but it won't play. This happens with every program I try. There's got to be a simple way to do this without using 27,487 different programs that all seem to not work. Any suggestions? (I'm running Windows Vista, btw. No jokes. That's not the problem.) As for me, I find the vast majority of movies that have come out in the past ten years to be stupid. I find pretty much all horror movies to be stupid/lame/cheesy/not scary. Nick and Norah should have never been made. Pretty much anything Adam Sandler has done that isn't Punch Drunk Love or Mixed Nuts. Most action, sports, and animal movies are completely retarded. Formulaic Hollywood blockbusters are stupid. Pretty much anything that Steve Martin has been in in the last ten years. Vin Diesel movies (Saving Private Ryan aside). The vast majority of comedies. Almost all Mel Brooks movies. Almost all Eddie Murphy movies. I'm so laid back and my sense of humor is so severely twisted that I find absolutely nothing to be offensive, no matter how shocking or crass it may be. Not an actual memory, per se, but I enjoy feeling like everyone takes everything I say seriously (seriously meaning "in a sincere manner"). Word to the wise: Generally, everything I say should be taken with at least two pounds of salt, if not more. If it seems like I'm being mean, I'm not. I'm a firm believer in the doctrine of sarcasm. Other favorite memories... The events surrounding Papa Smurf's banning were quite hilarious. Also, the infamous first meeting between Taperson and myself.
