I wouldn't be too concerned at never getting into WoW, though I don't really agree with the subscription argument. Depending on how often you play, that $15/mo can equate to a lot of play time. More so than a game that you might pick up for $40-60 and never touch again after you beat it.

However, those games don't require a support group if you want to quit. So ...
