1. Yep, Zelda is coming next. I have a little link in my signature about that. It'll take a while though, but hopefully it'll be worth the wait.
2. I don't think we'll move to v7 until a full vB v3 is available. Having said that, we might still upgrade to vB 2.3. I haven't decided on that yet.
3. Cloricus, I'm pointing out in my post that anyone who uses those quotes as their logic is being selective. I probably should have said "In reference to Cloricus' post" rather than just "Cloricus:". Maybe that would have been clearer, I don't know. Either way, as I've said on AIM...there is a way to handle these things. If you felt offended, you could have quoted me on here and asked me to clarify my comments. Simple. And I'd be happy to do it. You shouldn't start flaming me on AIM though. It's a matter of doing things in a mature way; if you just quote me and say something like "are you implying this or that?", I'd be happy to clarify. Anyway, I think we have come to an understanding. I'm always very happy to explain myself to people, as long as I'm asked to do so in a respectful way. I think that's fair. And yes, I'll close the thread now. I've had many requests for that already...and right now I don't think anything valuable is emerging. Most people have submitted their views and the issue has been debated and discussed at great length.
4. Cloricus...don't make me slap you. lol I responded to your post. If you didn't want a response, then don't post. I responded to exactly what you said. You can't blame me for not reading between your fuzzy lines. And by the way...if you ever insult me like you just did on AIM, I will not hesitate to ban you without question. You need to pull yourself back in line; your rudeness is getting out of hand.
5. Well, I liked the first Pikmin. However, the game was lacking in a few areas. Pikmin 2 might be what the first game should have been. Those shots are a little messy though; most of you who have played Pikmin are aware of how it looks. Not overly amazing, but very organic and quite pretty. I don't mind if Pikmin 2 looks identical, as long as there are some important gameplay changes (and the tweaks announced so far seem to be good).
6. Oh great, Cloricus. So now I'm supposed to know when you're joking and when you're serious? It's not even worth bringing up those quotes; if you're going to post here, don't mess around with people...just have a proper debate. It's not that hard. lol
7. Mnemolth: The fact that you can't draw some sort of line between something like beastiality and homosexuality is very surprising. What happened to the years of wisdom that you continually remind us that you posess? We are constantly being reminded, in some form or another, that you are so much older than everyone here. The implication being, of course, that you know better somehow. Your most recent post is a blatant example that this is not the case. I don't even need to dignify it by responding; if you can't tell the difference between the elements that you mentioned...there is little hope for you, ma boy. lol Cloricus: What's your point? I refer you to Semjaza's post. If you're going to take the Bible's comments on homosexuality as something to live by, then you must also take the Bible's references to slavery, incest and cannibalism as being parts of your every day life that are endorsed by the good book. Don't pick and choose. It's hypocritical and it's a form of selective logic; the Ku Klux Klan does exactly what you're doing. They pick and choose what they want to push forward and happily ignore the various contradictions in their own arguments. Really, there is no reason or justification for these type of statements. If I start referring to the Wahabi (I think that's what it's called; please correct me if I'm wrong) school if islam and I tell you that your wife will never be allowed to leave the house without your consent as her husband...you'd call me crazy. If I told you that it was unnatural for you to allow your wife to leave the house without you beside her, you'd call me insane. There is absolutely no difference between this and your Bible references. And to try and justify one over the other is to say that your religion is right and all others are wrong. And that, of course, would reveal yet another flaw in your reasoning. So don't even try to use the Bible as a reference text book on this issue. I can play that game too; and I can start giving you all kinds of orders from God that you MUST follow, lest you be classified as "unnatural".
8. I just thought I'd share some Pikmin 2 screenshots that N-Sider has nabbed recently. Not much is known about this game, besides the fact that a two player feature is now available. ~_^ Also, the game will apparently allow you to pick up items and transport them yourself (from what I've heard). It seems that the daily limit thing is still there...hopefully Nintendo lengthened it and made each day twice as long; most people seem to feel that the first Pikmin was too short (both in the length of each day and in the 30 day limit. Although, it seems like the two player mode may not have such a time limit. So, it might not always be there (which is very cool). There is a versus mode...and hopefully a coooperative mode too.
9. US cartoons are kind of like what anime is in the west. In other words, it's kind of a niche market. American 'toons do get shown in Japan (just as Japanese 'toons get shown in the USA), but I'd imagine that American cartoons don't come close to the popularity of Japanese cartoons.
10. KiaraStarr...it sounds like you don't even have any ideas. You're getting everyone else to write the RPG for you. Does that even make it your RPG? I recommend that if people are interested, they email KiaraStarr as she's suggested. When you're ready to create a sign up, you may so do.
11. I think karma has some logical explanations. For example; let's say you are a nasty person and you treat people horribly. If you behave like that all the time, most people might just let it go. But one day, someone might treat you the same way or worse. It would be inevitable if you didn't change your behavior. So, I think that your behavior is what dictates how you are treated, mostly. If you do something bad...and then you regret it and you do your very best to be good...I don't think it will necessarily come around on you again. I hope that makes sense.
12. Eh, it's okay. I prefer X-Lax, because you integrated the text better. The GameCrap thing is good, but the text is a bit off.
13. I think there is a massive difference between breast feeding and sitting there letting 'em rip. lol
14. Bodily functions in any public setting are incredibly rude in my book. I'd be very offended if someone did that in front of me; especially if I'd just met them. It's a sign of disrespect (oh I don't care, I'll just let it all go infront of you). In private, it's acceptable. But I would never do it in front of friends, family, partner or anyone else. To me, doing that in front of people (especially at the dinner table or something) is virtually the equivalent of pulling up a porta potty in the middle of a restaurant. There is a reason that human beings have social etiquitte. lol

I don't think Sara ever mentioned that it was a banner... But yes, it's very nice. ^_^ I like the style...and the words are very meaningful.
16. ... Harry, why do you continually need to create inane threads? Whiny liberals and child abusing Christians? This is one of the absolute stupidest threads I have ever seen. Please take more care when creating threads in future; I won't warn you again.
17. I really don't think that this topic is very warranted. It's all over the place; from religion to how the world views America. I don't think that there has been any kind of excessive "religion bashing" going on at OtakuBoards. Perhaps you took one look at Harry's thread and saw that as some widespread example of behavior on the boards. But that's not the case; his thread was closed immediately. Let's try to create some positive discussions. The depression threads and such are okay in the sense that sometimes we need to explore our feelings and get comfort from others. But I can't help feeling that some of the threads here should be confined to blogs and things like that; does Otaku Lounge really need to morph into some kind of mental support group? I know that most people have the right intentions and I'm sure that many of you have certainly received comfort from members. And I'm certainly not going to sit here and say "no more depression threads!" But I would ask everyone to consider the content of the thread before they post anything. I don't think that we should start getting the idea that every thread contains religion bashing; that's simply not the case. I think most people here are pretty tolerant. It is simply a minority who are intolerant and who choose to create inflammatory threads/posts. Let's keep some perspective on this.
18. It's good to see that you're starting to get things on track, Kevin. I hope that it leads to more stability and happiness for you in the future. It certainly sounds promising so far. ^_^
19. Agh, you see what happens when you go posting something like that, 'breko? I know it doesn't seem like much at the time, but this is how rumors spiral out of control. lol Please leave the announcements on new additions to me in the future. ~_^ Anyway, yes, of course...OtakuBot is not some device for removing users. It's not a "device" or piece of software at all. Considering that it was planning to coincide with v7, any chance of people seeing it is quite a long way off anyway.
20. If my friend was still alive...no. If they were dead...no. I would be too traumatized by their death to eat them. I could never do that. I wouldn't even be able to stomach it. Can you imagine slicing off and eating the flesh of your own friend? You would have to be severely insane to do anything like that...regardless of your circumstances. lol
21. Semjaza is right; we have these controls in place to prevent flooding. If you had your inbox flooded by someone, you'd be happy that we kept the flood controls in place. ~_^
22. Well, you're pretty far off the style we have now. lol But the thought and the gesture are most welcome. I'd like to see one of your other layouts in the future.
23. I don't really like it. Everything is too large; the buttons have enormous text and are bevelled like the grand canyon. The greenish bit isn't bad and is probably the most redeeming feature of the overall image. I'd give it a 6/10. It's a good effort though. Hang in there; layout design can be a tricky business. I've been doing it for a long time and it can still seem overwhelming!
24. Apparently Great White had used pyrotechnics on several occasions prior to performing at this particular club. And in all cases, they supposedly had no permission to use pyrotechnics. They didn't seek approval from the club owners or any civil authorities. I think there is mutual blame. The band was utterly stupid for using pyrotechnics without permission (and without proper knowledge of their use) and the club owners should have been aware of what the band was bringing in.
25. I really don't think we should be analyzing Harry too much here. Everyone has included their opinion on the subject. Jenni can read this and make her own judgement.
