1. I guess the thing is, it isn't anime. Granted, we have a Music, Movies and TV forum...but we made that forum because people were discussing non-anime TV shows in Otaku Lounge. So it was necessary to produce that forum. It's kind of like the situation we have with Star Wars. There are some die-hard SW fans on the boards...but not enough to warrant an entire forum for the subject. The same could be said for Power Rangers. But certainly, you're welcome to discuss it in Music, Movies & TV.
2. I love rain. Rainy weather is great...it makes me feel cosy when I'm inside. It's great to sit down and read a good book...or play a good video game while it's dark and rainy outside. Melbourne is a very weird place. It's famous for its "fickled" weather. Like today for example. This morning it was hailing/raining so hard...and it was very dark. Then it went bright and sunny. And then over the last hour it was all dark and haily again...and now it's sunny and bright lol. I enjoy that unpredictability in weather...I like the fact that I never know how the weather will be one day to the next, generally.
3. I think I might redo this sign up in the future...but not just yet. I'll wait till Flash's RPG starts before I remake it. When I remake it, I'll explain the relationship between the two RPGs. :)
4. It could simply be that she hasn't activated the cookies in her account. If that's the case...then of course, she should do so in order to fix the problem.
5. Well, let me make it very clear. I don't mind if people talk about religion. But think about what you're asking. "What religion do you believe in?". First and foremost, we've had countless threads like that. If you want to know what people's religions are, I recommend going back through Otaku Lounge (or doing a search) and finding relevant threads. Secondly, simply questioning people as to what they believe in...not only has it been done a million times, but I don't know if it's a very valid discussion to have. Most people will just say what they believe in and leave it at that...it's almost like one of those plain favourites threads. So I don't recommend making a new topic. I recommend searching and going back through the previous threads to find what you are looking for.
6. This thread rates number 1 on my "Most Useless Thread of the Year" scoreboard. *chalks it up* There we go.
7. I'm not so sure about that. I haven't seen Shift around lately...and given that he has yet to complete some of the most basic features on the site, I seriously doubt that he will be adding the Game Page anytime soon. We are planning a small new feature for OB users, which I think everyone might find a bit easier to use...but that isn't related to games or anything.
8. Good advice here. It's always wise to copy what you type, just incase you encounter this problem. In most cases, you can simply press "back" on your browser, and the text will remain there just as you typed it. Hopefully these solutions should help you.
9. Name: Proteus Type: Reploid Age: Approximately 1 year, 27 days, 10 hours since activation. Description: Proteus is an advanced reploid unit, originally constructed as a potential replacement model for previous generations. His bodysuit is similar to other reploids and is constructed from white titanium. His chest plate and shoulder plates are an electric blue colour. His straight hair is short, but fairly thick. The hair is made from thin fibre optic nerves and occasionally, light blue flashes of light can be seen travelling down the strands. Personality/Bio: Proteus was activated in a time of need. A war had started and he hadn't been given much time to adapt. However, his unique technology proved vital to the early missions. His adaptive cellular technology was the first of its kind and subsequently changed the course of the reploid future. Of course, Proteus is not to learn of this change for at least 245 years, when his reactivation will take place. Having only been activated for just over one year, Proteus still struggles with his very human feelings. He has learned to better control himself, but he still finds human behavior confusing. The combination of robotic technology and human emotion is a direct clash for Proteus and it is a frequent preoccupation. Weapons: Proteus uses Adaptive Cellular Modification (ACM). This capability comes in the form of small data cubes. A single ACM Cube contains enough information to allow Proteus' limbs to form into specific weapon units. Primarily, Proteus uses a standard buster, which requires no ACM Cube. However, on some missions, Proteus is able to use specific cubes that greatly expand his capabilities. Proteus is also equipped with anti-gravity technology on the soles of his titanium feet, allowing him to jump higher and float to the ground. In terms of defense, Proteus does not carry any specific defence item. Rather, he utilizes ACM Cubes to generate specific defence mechanisms (including an arm-mounted shield and force field capabilities). This is pretty much the same as before...but I thought I'd put it up for the benefit of those who have not read the original Replimaters.
10. Well, no matter how you look at it...the swastika is most definitely a Nazi symbol. I wouldn't ban it, simply because that would rule out a lot of historical documentaries and such. And I wouldn't ban people from using it. If they choose to wear a Nazi symbol on their clothing, then that is the message they are choosing to send out to the world. It's the same as if someone wears a KKK symbol on their clothing. It's the message and the impact that the individual chooses to promote and display. It doesn't mean I have to like it and support it -- and I have the right to be critical of that person, just as they have the right to further their own opinion.
11. I don't keep many MP3s. I only have about 20 or something. Instead, all my music is on CD. And I don't tend to burn MP3s onto CD because I don't agree with piracy. So, I buy all my CDs. I've lost count of how many CDs I have...my study and bedroom are overflowing with them. lol
12. You gotta do a little research, man. ;) There are numerous tech support threads in the PC forum. I've seen quite a few where people have posted and asked for help with a particular problem... So, yes. The forum you desire already exists. :drunk:
13. Well, we do have a PC forum, incase you haven't noticed. ;) You can discuss both games and hardware in there. :)
14. I think there are different kinds of respect. I respect everyone on a basic human level...I mean, I respect them as a human being and I respect their right to speak freely etc... But the other kind of respect is one that you earn. You earn it by your actions...and how you relate to people. In that sense, there are quite a few people here who I have respect for. Some more than others. And there are some people that I have a very deep respect for. So, I think there can be different kinds of respect. And it can be expressed in different ways.
15. So has James Bond. Does that mean we need a 007 forum? Nope. :)
16. Two problems here. First, you've clearly posted in the wrong forum. So you obviously haven't read the rules. Second, this is nothing but a blatant advertisement for your own site. Just a note to everyone that this is definitely not what to do on OtakuBoards.
17. I don't think anyone's jumping down your throat...and I think you understand the mentality of many of your posts. As long as you understand that you need to be a bit more respectful of people sometimes...then that's all I can ask for. Other than that, you tend to follow the rules pretty well. It's just that there are some instances where I notice posts with slightly venomous undertones.
18. Nobody's putting words in your mouth, wrist cutter. You are the one who stepped in and made the "I listened to J-music first!" style comment. And when someone picks up on that, you jump all over them. You really have to learn to be a little nicer to people if you want to stick around. I tend to find that you post very well when you put aside the attention seeking stuff.
19. Agreed. No need to get all defensive. We all know you're the "king" of Japanese music. Anyway...I'm sick of handing out warnings. This is the last one.
20. I think people were expecting too much. Honestly...it was an animated feature bearing the Final Fantasy name...it wasn't going to be some remake of FFVII as a movie or anything. For what it was...it was very good. Plot was okay, characters were pretty well done...and animation was superb. Great to watch if only for the animation, I think. ;) I'd give it 8.5/10.
21. Samgee...read the rules. No one word posts.
22. Boogeta, stop putting unrelated attachments in your posts! This is your last warning -- if I see you do it again, you'll be banned.
23. James

Well...

I have no idea. However, we don't allow members at OB to have more than one account. Part of the reason is because it creates confusion (with different names and such)...and also because it leaves us with a lot of inactive members (I recently deleted our inactive members...there were about 700 accounts not being used).
24. It's not really necessary to have a Power Rangers forum. Power Rangers is a TV show (a non-anime TV show)...so therefore it should be discussed in the Music, Movies & TV forum.
25. I don't have the original story link here now...I'll put it up if I can be bothered. lol If you are using normal page settings, I think you'll find it on page three. Alternatively, you could just earch for "Maverick Hunters: Replimasters". I think Flash might be starting up a "sister-RPG" to go along with this one...so he might explain what we have planned. ^_^
