A lot of people instantly say "Oh no, you shouldn't play God...blah blah blah", but the truth is, they don't really understand how it all works or what it's for. I don't believe that we should be cloning entire human beings -- it limits the gene pool and ultimately doesn't allow mankind to evolve. However, genetic research is [i]incredibly[/i] important to our future. With things like stem-cell research, we'll be able to wipe out some of the biggest diseases in the world. We'll also be able to find ways of correcting certain genetic defects. Also, say you need a heart transplant. The donor lists are always so long...you could die before you get a heart. And even when you get a heart, your body might reject it. But with genetic research, we'll eventually be able to clone your own heart and grow a whole new heart in a laboritory... Just imagine being 60 years old...and having the heart of a 20 year old. There are so many great things that can come out of genetics. But of course, like anything, if it's put in the wrong hands...it can be dangerous. So we should stop those negative things from happening, but at the same time make sure that we don't stupidly block beneficial research.[/color]

The first is that we get so many complaints from people who hate swearing. The second reason is that we have a lot of young kids visiting the boards (kids under 13 years old), and in that situation, it is inappropriate for us to encourage swearing for that group of people. And thirdly, I think it's fair to say that we try and foster some kind of relevant, intelligent conversation wherever possible. I think that people are always too willing to use idiotic words or language...and I think it can get in the way of a good discussion. You'll notice that under the link to General Discussion, it says "please keep your posts coherant". Unfortunately, there are still a few people who don't really adhere to that idea. I personally don't care if people swear, however, I get too many complaints about it...and none of our senior staff have the time to deal with such complaints all the time. So censoring that language is the most logical thing for us to do.[/color]

[color=darkblue]Majora's Mask was a refreshing change. I thought that it was a very underrated game... In many ways, Majora's Mask was a huge change for the Zelda series as a whole...it was so very different to Ocarina of Time in lots of ways...and it was very bold for attempting to provide such a unique experience. I loved its atmosphere...and its storyline was far more interesting than Ocarina of Time. I really enjoyed it. The new Zelda on GameCube is being directed by the same man who was involved with the story and direction of Majora's Mask...so hopefully we can expect the same kind of dark plotline.[/color]
