1. It's easier to get them in the mini-game, especially considering the chances of getting a chocograph. Proudly typed by Ravenstorture, who is currently sitting in Harlequin's lap and dominating the computer.
2. Cloricus, it's quite normally better to get an unoffical tutorial. I mean, really, read some of the ones on your computer now.
3. Cloricus, you are really in no position to comment. You may want to realise that it is an abstract image, with a small bit of realism, and doesn't have to obey natural laws. Welcome to my world.
4. Cloricus, you've used the internet more than I have. You shoud know the sheer amount of crap I would have to sift through to find something worth reading. So all I did was ask for one that people thought was any good.
5. If I had a host, I would. But really though, what's more important. How it's done, or how it looks? And I make everything myself.
6. Yeah, I knew what is was. I just didn't know how to use it.
7. Lacroix nearly jumped, startled. He quickly spun and swept his arm out, twisting it around the figure. He stood and hooked his arm around, knocking the figure off its feet. A thrill ran through him on contact. He faltered, leaving the figure lying on the bed looking up at him. The soft, luminous moonlight highlighted the figure's face. Revealing Alastuin. In an instant, they were in each other's arms, weeping softly with happiness. With no further words, they lay down, enjoying their reunion.
8. The fact that I don't have PS7 kind of shoots that theory out of the air I'm afraid. It would have been bigger, but, as I'm sure you know, there are post size restrictions.
9. I'll take one or two more people, then I'll start.
10. Lacroix slept, troubled by strange dreams. He knew, even while asleep, that dreams were merely a reflection of his twisted subconscious. A remnant of his bottled up insanity. No longer able to bear the tortured images being forced upon him by his mind, he writhed out of the grip of nightmare, awaking in the usual cold sweat that helped nothing. He wondered what had awakened him. Although he believed he had awakened himself, he knew that that was just his mind translating outer interference into a message of independence. He sent out a questing though, and his heart stopped within him. He knew who was outside. OOC: People, post if you like, but don't use my "presence sensing" thing in relation to anyone yet. That will be taken care of by tomorrow.
11. Well, in my opinion, give them something really Australian. Something that kind of impresses upon them the kind of country this is. In other words, get them chased out of a country town by a racist mob armed with torches and pitchforks, and video it. Then give him the video. Bound to work. The Harlequin: Well on my way to getting lynched! 18th time...
12. Hell. Who not. Name: Lacroix Age:19 Weapon: Quarterstaff, bladed at each end. Bio: Lacroix doesn't know who he is. He has no memory of his past. It kind of stands to reason that nobody else does either, considering that he tends to kill people he knows, for some reason he has yet to determine. Appearance: Think the Crow. Then add a hooded cloak. And a number of nasty scars. Interscecting all of his body except his face and hands.
13. I know. That's why you normally have to make up your own. One of the best juggles I've run into is with Heihachi. Crouchdash, then triangle (uppercut), then circle (normal right kick), then crouchdash and circle twice, then square. So he does a two hit spinning demon then an uppercut. They should be knocked into the air. As they land, you can do a number of things. If they quickly roll or just plain get up, spinning demon to uppercut them again. If they roll backwards, a jumping slice kick (crouchdash and X) tends to knock them back to the point where you can charge them. After knocking them over the second time, when they attempt to get up, they will most likely get up in a way that would avoid your earlier attacks. So, instead, do one of Heihachi's axe kicks (either forward forward X, or just forward+circle). Doesn't matter which one. The third time they try and get up, after they're halfway up at least, hammer punch to gut buster (down +square, triangle). Getting the timing is a little difficult, and you may have to change some of the later moves depending on what the opponent does, but normally you can contrive to keep them on the ground very easily. The jumping slice kicks low version (crouchdash and X, except you hold the last motion in the crouch dash) can be vital for damaged players that lie there and wait for you to move. It's a very cheap tactic, but it works. An even cheaper tactic with Heihachi is to do one of his uppercuts, although not dragon uppercut, and wait for the opponent to land. If they quickroll, quickly hit his unblockable. Hits them nearly everytime. One for Jin. Do his laser cannon combo, ending with the uppercut. (back, forward+triangle, square, down+triangle), and then perform the tenstring; "back+triangle, circle, circle, circle, circle, triangle, square+circle, triangle, down+X+circle." If they quick roll, you will hit them with a 12 hit combo that tends to do between 120 and 150 damage. Plus, the last move juggles them, allowing another hit or so. If they quick roll again after that, they're set up for a second laser canon. If they don't quick roll after landing from the first laser canon, but get up and block, finish the combo with square rather than down+X+circle.
14. This one's a little weird, but one of the best I've ever heard. It's from the Jerky Boys.
Man 1: So what do you want us to do? Man2: We thought you might have some more ...colourful ways to make him more agreeable. Like some of the more ...exotic jobs you pulled off in Chicago. Man 1: Eh, off the top of my head... Take the guy out back, strap him to a f***ing tree, get out the old tennis ball machine, load it up with boiled potatoes. Start shooting potatoes up his f***ing *** until he's blue. (laughter) Man 2: That's the sickest thing I ever heard in my life. I like it.
The last line basically sums it up.
15. The things you find when randomly searching around. Anyway. I just found out I have Adobe Imageready 2.0, and, as such, have no idea how to use it. Thus, does anyone know where I can get a decent tutorial on it? If you happen to have one, but not a link to it, please just email it to me.
16. If it's not calcium anthropology, then I wouldn't be complaining.
17. In typical obscurely weird style too. But then, soon there will be my Yipe! wallpaper... So, what does everyone think?
18. The Cure did a bit, but the main pioneers of gothic music was Siouxie and The Banshees. Not that you'll find many modern day goths that will admit it...
19. At least someone agrees with me.
20. Pain is an illusion of the senses. Despair is an illusion of the mind. Realise this, and you can control all hurt, all emotion. You have to think your way through pain. Great poem, aside from the last line. Hell is good, Hell works.
21. You can get Gyshall Greens in chocobo forest as well. Dead Pepper are obtained in the treasure mini game thing. Where you get the chocographs basically. I'm pretty sure you can get them in Chocobo Forest as well, but it might only be Chocobo Lagoon and that cloud place. The superslick starts up the machinery that runs mognet central. They give you something, I think. I can't remember.
22. Marliyn Manson kind of fits under the darkwave genre, but that's a matter of opinion. Personally, I wouldn't praise him by calling him goth... The Cure have one or two songs that fit under one of the gothic subgenres, but barely. Cake, well, not a chance. All those other bands you mentioned are either goth Industrial, Metal or Rock. I'm talking about things like Fallen Tears, Gossamer, The Scarlet Fix etc. Darkwave is really an open area. Anything a little "dark" tends to be shoved in there.
23.
Originally said by Mr. White If some ******* starts to think he's Charles Bronson, break his nose on the butt of your gun.
Reservoir Dogs. I've never seen it, but we have a big poster in out music room with a picture of the guy and that quote. Absolutely classic.
24. The world of Yipe! is in crisis, strangely enough, yet again. The princesses have been rescued, and the king has his stamps back, but an even greater catastrophe has befallen! The evil bunnies are forming a union, demanding the country become a democracy! Whatever shall we do! The former heroes of Yipe! have sided with the evil bunnies. The King has appealed, this time, to several adventures, to destroy the evil bunnies revolutionary ideas, and to recapture the former Yipe! heroes. Name: Lacroix Equipment: Wet Mop, Neon Parka, Newspaper Hat. Bio: Lacroix was born. Then he grew up. This seems to have been somewhat strange and unique, as everybody seemed to often comment "Oh, you've gotten so big!". The reason for such comments is as yet beyond Lacroix, and he wishes to ask the former Yipe! heroes to explain it, as much as fufill the King's quest. As Jesus Chicken and I (you had damn well better sign up for this one too), are probably the only people here who have ever heard of Quest Of Yipe!, I will not insist that you know what I'm talking about. Hell, I rarely do. Quest Of Yipe! IV: The most insane rpg you've ever encountered.
25. I doubt anybody will have heard of these, but still. Shoegazer tends more towards softer, melancholy music. Fallen Tears, some of the Gossamer songs etc. Darkwave however can be things such as Rob Zombie or Ozzy Osbourne. The line there between darkwave and other genres is pretty shaky.
