1. Davien shakes the last echoes from ringing in his head, his preternaturally alert ears not taking well to such a scream. Davien: Pathway? What? Oh, yes. I carried you in here, because I thought it safer. If you feel up to continuing, it's best that we left, considering that display. They set off into the trees, Davien keeping close eye on Anathema in case she should falter. They hear footsteps, soft and light as if the person making them is searching for something, probably them. Davien lowers Anathema down, and sets off to find the stalker. He comes back a few moments later, his blade wet with quickly decaying blood. Davien: They're out in force. We'll have to get out of here fast. Davien takes Anathema's hand and leads her off, running swiftly through the increasingly thick trees. Reaching an exposed face, Davien chances a look behind them, and finds no sign of either pursuit or the others. Davien: It's not safe to go back. Anathema: Then they'll have to find us.
2. You've played more DnD than I have Newt, and it's your rpg, so why am I being asked?
3. And you feel that your information comes from an unimpeachable source?
4. Jesus Chicken couldn't find the book when he checked, and I wasn't looking for information pertaining to Point Pleasant. Any further details on the Norway sighting?
5. An A of course. What else. What I want to know is this. An area of moving air creates an area of relative low pressure around it. Now, even if the moving air does drag the surrounding air along with it, which it doesn't, and shouldn't, why doesn't the air surrounding the surrounding air fill the space. Alternatively, if the air is not dragged along, which it isn't, which means it is still there, why the hell is there an area of low pressure? Is the density affected? The friction between atoms? What?
6. Sorry. The movie has no real relevance, and isn't all that good.
7. Davien immediately went to Anathema's side, slicing a long rent down the side of her clothing in his haste to examine the wound. Upon inspection, the wound itself was minor, but puffy and inflamed. Swearing, Davien draws his knife, and, taking a good grip on Anathema's mouth so that she did not bite her tongue, slices the inflamations open. Turning her onto her side, he lets the poison drain out. Considering using his cloak as an astrigent, but unaware of whether the poison attacked the blood or not, he decides against it. Pulling a bandage from under his cloak, he wraps it around her side, concerned by her clammy flesh, although the wound itself was heated. Lugging her onto his shoulder, he carries her into a more secluded glade, aware that it would be best to hide rather than find the others right now. Re examining her, he is releived to find her colour improving, and a touch of warmth has returned to the surrounding skin, and the wound has cooled. Rummaging through his pack, he digs out a water bottle and some herbs to inspire consciousness. Administering both, he has only to wait a few minutes before she is awake. Davien: How are you feeling? Anathema: Okay, I guess. Davien: Good. Were not going anywhere until your on your feet though. Anathema: What's this taste in my mouth? Davien: The herbs I gave you to wake you up. I didn't have access to anything more useful though. Anathema: So you're a alchemist too? Davien: I know the basics. Anathema reaches down and touches the bandage, wincing slightly. Anathema: Why is there a long cut down my clothing? Davien: Sorry. Neccessity.
8. For Christ's sake Cloricus. All you've done is repeat yourself several times over. What I've asked is why the air responds to outside manipulation at all. There is no logical reason why it should. The person I got this information from completed a course at uni in physics, and I'm probably going to trust him over you. And I didn't get a B+ either.
9. So it's no different to the way anyone else plays it... Speaking of rpgs, if your Dragon War gets started Unholy Newt, who will be playing Dungeon Master? If you are, why'd you enter a character?
10. I agree. Although, with love it quite often can be that easy. And if we're getting into symbols of love...
11. Davien and Anathema ran through the garden, avoiding the vampyres that stalked them. As the ran into a stand of trees, allowing themselves a small respite, a vampyre jumps down in front of them. Davien readies his weapon, but lowers it when he realises the vampyre is only a projection. Vampyre: Why do you seek to escape your nature? Davien: I do not. I know my nature. Vampyre: But you deny your instinctive nature. Davien: Not so. I am an engineered being remember. Anathema: Do you two know each other? Davien: No, but I'm basing my answers on the knowledge that Setsuna has. Anathema: Do you and Setsuna know each other? Vampyre: Of course they do. Tell me. Why do you believe that bloodlust is not part of your nature? Davien: It is. But it is not rampant. There are triggers. Davien spins, raising his crossbow and firing, shooting the vampyre that had come up behind him to the ground. Davien: Like that. Now, if you'll excuse us? The vampyre bows mockingly, the shade shimmering and disappearing. Davien and Anathema ru off into the garden, trying to find the others.
12. What are you talking about? I did this in year 8, and I was studying the Mayans for a long while before that. So I'm familiar with the basics.
13. I know we don't but we will. I'm sure someone will see to that. And as for the theory bit, that doesn't explain anything. There is less air, obviously, that's why there is low pressure. But why is there less air? If your trying to say that the moving air carries the other air along with it, you'd be wrong, because air doesn't work that way. So what are you trying to say?
14. Stabilisers Cloricus, Stabilisers. Considering just who made the remark, I'm surprised your sticking up for it.
15. Judging by that, I doubt he's in a position to care...
16. Amphion, you missed the key word in my post. Relative. Of course the Aztecs would lose to the Spaniards. You know? Smallpox. That's why the Spaniards won. Not actually because they had better weaponry. They were actually starting to lose before the Aztecs become infected. The Aztecs were annihilating them in the jungles.
17. Actually Cloricus, all you did was explain what happens. I knew that already. I asked why. Air isn't ionized you know. And it quite often works the same why as a wave. And Lilac Oranges, that remark was basically meaningless. Once the get it built, they'll be able to fire warheads, nuclear or otherwise, from the space station.
18. Actually, I don't believe that the holistic view should be celebrated at all, only the individuals. And anybody who thinks I'm weird hasn't heard nothing until I start with Ed the Sloth!
19. Well, if we're getting into poetry quotes, from John Donne's "The Sunne Rising"; "She's all states, all Princes I. Nothing else is.". He's right though. Love is rather microcosmistic. When you are fully in love with someone, they are the world. Nothing else is. It doesn't matter what's outside. It doesn't matter what anyone else thinks. You just don't care. Or maybe that's just me... In fact, I wouldn't be surprised.
20. I'm starting to get into 3rd, but it's all net based. You could say I'm a player in theory, but not practice.
21. Avoiding the question, with something that doesn't make sense, in an irrelevant context... Considering the good chance that Cloricus's answer will be irrelevant or useless, does anyone else have an answer for me?
22. And then we'll go and drain yet another planet of resources, not bothering to learn from past mistakes. Of course, with Mars, we'll at least have the excuse that we created them in the first place. But other than that, interesting. The latest idea I heard for Mars was that they were going to shelter one of the many gorges on the surface, covering it with a steel plate, sealing the ends off, and existing in that as protection from the elements. Then a volcano erupts... Anyway. That may actually be feasible if Mars does have a possible water source.
23. Personally, I believe they do more harm than good. After receiving days or phone calls from depressed kids, then weeks of it, maybe even years, you'd go a little numb. Then what. Some kid rings up, saying he's going to kill himself because his life is so bad. The person on the other end replies in a bored tone of voice "Yeah, what's the problem this time?", and doesn't even make the pretense of caring. That kid is going to kill himself. If they want such a thing to work, put some trained people there, or use Raven's idea of having them just shut up. Of course, if we just wanted to be heard, we could always just talk to a wall.
24. Oh? Why don't you explain why moving air creates an area of low pressure then? Considering it was my science teacher who claimed that it could not be explained, I don't think asking him would work. Zidane11, you have just typified the average rightwing consumer attitude of this day and age. Everybody wants things done, and everybody wants someone else to do it. Everybody wants to be richer, more powerful etc.
25. I believe I've told you before, I can get you any tab you want in under five minutes. In fact, I'm sure I've told you that before. Just Pm me about it next time. Anything else?
