Okay, I don't have much info on it yet, but with the recent merge of Enix and Square, they have been in the process of creating a new Final Fantasy game. I wish my scanner worked, because they have Screenshots in the January issue of Nintendo Power on page 27 (for anyone that gets NP). I will have more info hopefully soon. Until then, what are your thoughts on a new Final Fantasy?

Ifrit is NOT the weakest summon on the team. He is the second strongest, only falling behind Quetzi... That is, when they both have BOOST... But I found it rather easy to go in with Squall's HP at like... 110 or so and just Renzokuken your way to victory... same with RoboCo-- RoboSpider...

Yeah, I guess so... since they both have to travel back in time and they don't exactly meet up that often. Oh, and remember, Zoras, Gorons, Deku Scubs, anything form OoT and MM is accepted...

T H E . S T O R Y Link awoke one day to find himself deep in a strange forest. As he started to walk through the woods, he heard cries for help coming from just up ahead of him. Link hurried toward the voice, only to find a group of monsters surrounding the woman who was screaming. When the monsters saw Link, they immediately fled. The woman who was being attacked was none other than Impa, nurse to Hyrule's Princess Zelda. Impa said she had come to the forest to search for a singer named Nayru. "Can't you help me look?" Impas asked. Despite the strange look she gave him, Link could not refuse her request. Together they found a large stone with a Triforce on it. Naturally, Link moved the stone, but Impa wouldn't so much as lay a hand on it. As they traveled even deeper into the forest, they found a young woman singing. Invited to sit by the group of animals that listened to the girl's song, Link joined in the circle and let the beautiful song fill his ears and penetrate his heart. This was surely Nayru, the singer Impa was searching for. Just then, Impa erupted in a cackling laugh. "Ah ha ha ha ha ha!" A darkness surrounded Impa, and a frightening shadow lifted from her body. "Nayru! Oracle of Ages! I, Veran, Sorceress of Shadows, shall make you my own!" The shadow that called itself Veran began swooping about the forest before flying straight into the body of the frightened singer. A blinding light shone forth from Nayru's body. When Link's eyes had grown used to the light, he realized that Nayru looked very strange. Her face seemed veiled in shadow, and her bright smile had vanished. A piercing, evil gaze had replaced it. "Ha ha ha ha ha!" "Now the power of the Oracle of Ages is mine! I can travel through time at will! Now a ned age shall begin-an age of shadows!" And with that, Veran and Nayru vanished. Nayru was actually the Oracle of Ages who controlled time in this land of Labrynna. When the oracle was kidnapped, the flow of time in Labrynna was distorted, and strange things began to happen. Before vanishing, Veran said, "When the past changes, so does the present." Her plan was to travel to the past and gather power from the sorrows of the people of Labrynna so that she could create her age of shadows. Will Link be able to free Nayru from Veran's evil clutches? Such is thequest that Link must now undertake. T H E . C H A R A C T E R S Link ---- After being plucked from Hyrule by the Triforce, Link finds himself in the distant land of Labrynna. After saving Impa from marauding monsters, Link learns about Nayru, the Oracle of Ages, and embarks on a new adventure. His courage may be enough to save Time itself. Maple ----- Maple is an apprentice witch to her grandmother. She often sneaks away from training and flies around on the magic broom she recently learned to ride. Occasionally, she unexpectedly flies down and crashes into Link. Bipin and Blossom ----------------- Bipin is a famed tree planter who grows Gasha Seeds, and freely offers information about them to curious travellers. Blossom is his wife. Nayru ----- As the Oracle of Ages, Nayru wields power over the currents of time in Labrynna. She is a wise and serene young woman who spends her days singing songs and wishing for peace. Nayru's wisdom rids the world of sorrow. Little does she know the Sorceress of Shadows covets her powers... Zelda ----- The Royal Princess of Hyrule is a symbol of the people's hope. Her vivid dreams allow her to predict when something evil is about to happen in the world. Her crest of wisdom and symbol of hope free the world from despair. Veran ----- Veran, who has disrupted the flow of time in Labrynna, is the Sorceress of Shadows, and is able to possess the bodies of others and force them to do her biding. Her plan is to control time from the past to fulfil her hidden desires. An "Age of Shadows" full of sorrow is her goal, but does she have even more hidden motives? Queen Ambi ---------- Ambi is a Labrynnian queen from the distant past. She's been building Ambi's Tower, but recently the villagers have begun to call it the Black Tower. Unlike the other two goddesses, she's stuck with desk work in both worlds, residing inside the Maku Trees. The Oracle of Secrets, she will help your Secrets come to life. Ralph ----- Ralph is Nayru's hot-tempered childhood friend. His hastiness and lack of focus can sometimes lead to trouble. Having seen his dear Nayru taken from before his very eyes, Ralph is determined to rescue her. Ricky ----- This boxing glove-wearing Kangaroo has the power to jump high and create powerful tornadoes. Vasu ---- The only jeweler in the world of Labrynna, he appraises the secret powers of rings made from magical seeds. Vasu also has two pet snakes. Zora Race --------- This sea-dwelling race, well, dwells in the sea. Subrosian Race -------------- This race usually inhabits the Underworld of Holodrum. Like the Gorons, they love to dance dance! Witch Syrup ----------- Maple's Grandmother. Great Moblin ------------ Commanding Forts in both Holodrum and Labrynna, this Moblin's work is never done. The Great Moblin has begun to harass the Gorons with the hope of getting a monopoly on their prized Bomb Flowers. Bombs are his specialty, as well as his downfall? Dimitri ------- This friendly Dodongo is a very useful pet. Able to eat the most dangerous of enemies, Dimitri may move slow on land, but his sea navigation is unmatched! Goron Race ---------- A very care-free race which live in Rolling Ridge. They are led by the Elder Goron and are infatuated with dancing. Yes, and only use a tent on your character in an emergency, for if the snake bites... Poison, Blind, and I think Silence occurs. That's what happened when I used a tent on Zidane when we were battling Ark... I can't believe I got beat by a BOAT....A BOAT! But then I came back and destroyed the peice of s**t boat... Ok, first and foremost... DRAW SIREN! Next, pummel the little neuciance with Squall's Renzokuken, have Zell unleash a GF (Preferably Quetzi) and have Selphie use her [Full Cure] and [Aura] Slot limit break when needed. But you can really just draw Siren and then just wipe it out with GFs... Oh, and watch out for AToXM91 or somethin... he comes right after you beat Enloyle. Don't waste your time trying to beat him. You'll have 30min to get back to the shore, so use that time wisely. [i]Valen didn't exactly like the idea of having to bring such a small dragon with them, but having a dragon for a pet would work... He walked over to Ryan while holding the baby dragon. The baby dragon wasn't too thrilled about Ryan's hatred toward dragons and driving the others to kill the dragons. If it hadn't been for him, the baby dragon's mother would not have been killed for protecting its young. Ryan jumped back as Valen drew closer and closer and closer. The baby dragon was beginning to love that Ryan was afraid of it, for it could make some good fun...[/i] [b]Valen[/b]: Karina, would you like to lead? [b]Ryan[/b]: HEY! WHY HER!? I'M THE ONE THAT KNOWS ALL ABOUT DRA-- [i]Before Ryan could finish his sentence, Valen had held the baby dragon right in front of his face. Ryan shut up very quickly.[/i] [b]Valen[/b]: Good boy, Ryan. Now stay quiet! [b]Ryan[/b]: But...! [i]Valen held the dragon even closer to Ryan.[/i] [b]Valen[/b]: Now, what were you saying? [b]Ryan[/b]: ... [b]Valen[/b]: That's what I thought you said...

[i]That was a problem for Valen though, it would take utter concentration to sustain a fireball in this wet forest. He thought it would be hard to do, but the air had been drier because of the sun heating it. He brought his hands together as a chant began to echo throughout the forest and into the minds of everyone. Valen's hands were soon engulfed in flames as the fireball turned into plasma and began to glow. Was he making a small star? That's what it looked like, but it was the Incenerator. The very hot fireball was ready to be shot at the creature, but Valen added a little more to it. Gold light started to wrap around the orb. This would ensure their victory. Now to wait for the others to get their attacks ready... then it would be time.[/i]

Okay, basically there's Squall, he's the Top member of SeeD, Gardens' Mercenary Special Forces. SeeD is trained to fight the Sorceress to ensure world peace and safety. Sure they get other missions for wars, resistance movements, etc., but all that is is practice for the big battle against the Sorceress. The three main sorceresses are: Edea 'Matron' Kramer -- She is Cid Kramer's (Headmaster Cid) wife. She became a sorceress when she was a young child. A sorceress cannot die in peace without passing her powers on to another capable of sustaining her power. She was later posessed by Sorceress Adel and caused havoc with Galbadia Garden and Balamb Garden. In her reign of terror, she fired Cruise Missiles at Trabia and Balamb Gardens. The missiles missed both targets, but barely. Sure Balamb Garden escaped the missiles by becoming mobile and almost crashing into the city of Balamb, but Trabia on the other hand was almost completely destroyed. After the havoc had died down slightly, Galbadia Garden found out about Balamb Garden escaped and had Ellone, a girl that could send someone's conseince into the past. Squall had beat Edea who was then possessed by Ultimecia when she learned of Ellone's power. Adel -- The ruler of Esthar during the Sorceress War. She was later overthrown and sealed in a tomb to restrain her power and was shot into space. To this day she is monitered in space once again. Rinoa -- Okay, so I said three, but there is one more after her. Rinoa gained her power after defeating Sorceress Adel, who was posessed by Ultimecia. Ultimecia -- She is the sorceress that is planning to go into the past and use Time Magic to compress time. Past, Present, Future. All combined into one time. Only she and she alone can survive in a world like that. Her intentions of only her living in a world like that are unknown. She is rumored to be the future Rinoa. That's a basic rundown of the Sorceresses. That's basically all you really need to know. You do know what the summons do, right?

[b]Valen[/b]: ..... ouch..... This lifestyle takes a lot out of you... [b]Karina[/b]: So you're okay, right? [i]He barely managed to get up with Karina's help, but had a sharp pain in his rib.[/i] [b]Valen[/b]: Yea-- ow.... [b]Karina[/b]: Are you sure you're alright? You don't at all look alright... [b]Valen[/b]: I'm fine.... Do you think Ari and Vahn can take on that thing eventhough they have Wolf and Rajaah's help? [b]Karina[/b]: Probably not... [i]They both had a good laugh at this as they ran towards the battle to help the others. Valen drew his katana and got ready for battle as Karina grabbed her whip. This was going to be a long battle, for the gaurdian had the Isis Katana's powers and more.[/i] [b]"Which one of you went into my temple and wrecked it?!"[/b] [i]The gaurdian growled as the others pointed to Valen and Karina in fear. They both gave the others the 'You-all-are-going-to-get-it-later' look. The gaurdian glared at them as the others looked on. It walked up to Valen and Karina, who were both ready to attack at any given moment.[/i] [b]"You really think that weak blade is going to help you?! Hahahahahaha! That is quite funny![/b] [i]He snarled as Valen held the hilt even tighter.[/i] [b]Valen[/b]: I will show you the true power of this blade! .... Ow.... [b]Karina[/b]: Are you sure you can take him? [b]"Better listen to the lady, you're in no shape to fight me! For I will easily wipe you all out! Mwuhaha![/b] [i]The gaurdian had yet another good laugh at this one. A mere five-foot-eight guy against a twelve-foot-nine demonic gaurdian. They both prepared to battle anyway.[/i]

[i]Valen pointed the sword at the dragon. Now it would die before the poison even had a chance to take effect. Without warning, he charged at the dragon. He was almost instantly on the dragon's back digging his blade into the dragon's spinal cord. Yes, it was a very cruel way to kill a beautiful creature such as a Dragon, but the blade in the eye would hurt it even more. He figured it would be best to kill it quickly. He focused on the dragon's spirit as it left the body. The body went limp and collapsed as Valen removed the blade and jumped off. He was still focused on the dragon's spirit.[/i] [b]Venna[/b]: What is he doing?! He's going to get killed out there! [b]Karina[/b]: He's drawing the energy of the dragon's spirit. He'll be fine. [b]Venna[/b]: Drawing the energy of the dragon's spirit? How? Why? [b]Karina[/b]: How? He focuses in on it and draws it's energy using his magic, but don't bother trying it. He's been training to do it almost all his life. [b]Venna[/b]: How do you know?! [b]Ryan[/b]: She just does! Now can we just get going and stop chatting!? [i]Valen had overheard them talking while he was trying to concentrate only on the dragon's spirit.[/i] [b]Valen[/b]: Sure, now where to next?

[i]He looked around and noticed something was different... nobody was around anymore. Had he gotten turned around? He was now back in the dustcloud. There was a slight rumble where the temple once stood that knocked Valen off his feet. He sat there, Isis Katana on the ground next to him, he just stared at where the temple was. It was gone...[/i] [b]Valen[/b]: ... ... No... [i]He dropped his head and just sat there as some of the dust settled around him. He tried his best to stay calm and not break down. There was another rumble, but he payed this one no mind, he had too much going through his mind. The rumbles grew louder and greater as the rubble started to collapse on itself. Something was going on underground.[/i] [b]Valen[/b]: ([i]sigh[/i])... Well... it's in the past now... it's over... [i]He got up and brushed himself off. He looked around and picked up his Isis Katana and started walking aimlessly through the dust. Moments later there was an explosion that threw Valen back passed the group. He landed with a thud and the sound of something cracking as he slid passed Karina. The creature Karina and Valen had just got away from was back and ready for a fight. He was the true gaurdian of the Isis Katana and won't let it go without a fight.[/i]

[i]Valen looked at the wound and his now torn shirt. He chuckled at what the creature had just done. It had just sealed its fate.[/i] [b]Valen[/b]: Haha I like that in an enemy... but touch the shirt and die! [i]Valen glared at the creature. He flicked his wrists and his claws began to once again extend and sharpen, then he charged at the creature. There were sudden streaks of red light as Valen slashed at the creature rapidly, landing every slash either to the face or to the torso of the creature. His eyes glazed an icy blue as his claws began to form Crimson Blast orbs on the tips of them. The orbs were released as he slashed, exploding within the creature. Surprisingly enough, the creature was barely harmed. Valen jumped back and looked at the others. They had seen what had just happened and they were all in shock of how strong these creatures are. But once they are out of the forest...[/i]

Yes, it is called Soul Blade and is learned by the Mage Masher (I think) either that or the one that you get right before the Festival of the Hunt... you know, the one you have to synth 2 Mage Mashers to get? Oh wait... that's the other attack... oops... Also, Giz will start to use water attacks when he's low on HP... if Jump doesn't work with Freya, go with Lancer if you have it... it takes away HP and MP from the enemy...

If I'm not mistaking, DoK did get it right and it is his turn to ask a question...

[i]Right in the middle of his attack, everything went quiet as the goons just disappeared. He looked around in awe at the damage the goons had caused to the forest. His claws shrunk back to their original size as he kept an eye out for more goons. None came. This was quite different.[/i] [b]Valen[/b]: Something is not right here... [i]His ears twitched as the hair on the back of his neck stood on end. There was something there. He could feel it... but what was it?[/i]

[i]Inside the dustcloud, Valen was still looking for Karina. There was no sign of her or anything for that matter. He couldn't use his magic of Four Winds to blow the dust away, for if Karina was still in the dustcloud, she'd be caught in the blast as well.[/i] [i]He searched for what seemed to be hours, but was only mere seconds. He gave up for now and went to find a way out of the dustcloud. There was a small shady figure of a group of people to the left of him. He went to see what it was. He walked out of the dustcloud and saw Karina tied up with her own whip being held by Wolf and the little ones looking around. He arched an eyebrow and walked on.[/i]

Yes, and Yes. Learning the abilities will help you in the long run... trust me on that one. I've went through FFIX many times and found it to be much easier. Yes, Giz is a beast. Freya went for the whole trance time? Hmmm I never noticed that... probably because the enemies never lasted after 2 shots. The reason I said that she threw the spear at one enemy is that I was refering to the Giz battle, where you only have one enemy. Btw, once you beat Giz and go to Burmecia, I hope you like those bell doors...

Yeah, it would be Cactuars... the summon is Jumbo Cactaur, and I've played FFVII long enough to know that they are Cactaurs... unless your talking about the weird troop cactus things... Anyway, are we still on Flash's question or another one?

A small question I've had about the IP Banning... What would happen if you had a sibling that uses the same computer to come to Otaku, but you were IPB. Would your sibling or anyone else be able to come to Otaku on the computer?

I say it's only 8...
