1. I would have to say, for the most part, my favorite death sequence was
in Threads of Fate when you choose "Quit" from the [continue] submenu and a pumpkin drops out of no where and chases her as the screen fades to black and "Game Over" fades in.
It's my favorite because it's one of the funniest ones I've seen from a SquareSoft game. Now,if it was about the idioticness, it goes to
Claire, also from Threads of Fate. Rue stood a chance against Doll Master, and he was holding his own... then Claire came at Doll Master with a hatchet. Claire's stupidity, yet lovingly sister/guardian-must-protect-little-rue feelings came to lead to her demise and set for the best plot in a SS game. But that's just me...

2. Surname: Aylward Name: Shizen Age: 460 Species: Vampire Element: None Spells: None Appearance: A male character standing at about 5' 9'' with Ivory White hair that flows a little farther than his shoulder blades, and Red eyes that glow an even deeper red when he gets mad. His Beige, 95% cotton, 5% polyester, trenchcoat goes to about three inches above his ankles. His skin is a pale white, almost like it's glowing because of the amount of light it reflects. Personality: Shizen is an easy-going vampire for the most part. He likes creativity, nature, being left alone, solitude, non judgmental people, peaceful evenings. Though, he really dislikes fire, pain, when harm befalls those he cares about, Vampires, being mute, death, when people drag up things that he would prefer left alone. He's also very touchy about certain subjects. Weaponry: Shizen's weaponry is none other than himself and his telepathy. He's a Vampire, what else does he need? Bio: The night was growing old as Shizen and Arden stood around the coven metting area, which was nothing more than a grey, stone building's ruins, only parts of the four walls still stood, and the rest was overgrown with moss, hard, rich dirt was covering most of the ground there, with the occasional slate stones, and an alter in the center where Shizen's brother stood, communicating about random things. Shizen, being mute, could only give looks, nod, shake his head, or just communicate through telepathy. Guess which one he did the most... "So what about this human girl? Do you really think she can do it?" Arden inquired in a skepticle tone. "...(Arden, don't go there.)" he send to Arden through telephathy, but with a difference. Arden could hear the tone in Shizen's telepethetical voice. It was more a depressed tone. "Oh come on, Shizen. You know the only reason you--" Shizen cut him short with a peircing look. Arden shut up. Arden couldn't figure out why Shizen would act this way, he was usualy so calm about the subject. "What's up? You seem... different... tonight." Arden told Shizen in a most cheery voice. "...(You don't know anything about it. It was not only because of her intentions that I did it. You do know that much. The rest I shant reveal right now. Come, dawn approaches)" He telepetheticly told Arden, who was getting very unnerved with Shizen's tone tonight. Shizen pushed himself from against the back wall that was covered in Spanish Moss draping down from over the grey brick walls, or what remained of them. The moss had attached itself to Shizen's trenchcoat and fell off as his posture became upright again. "'Come, dawn approaches.'" Arden repeated, as if to playfully mock Shizen, who was already in a bad mood tonight. Nonetheless, he followed as Shizen led the way out of the coven meeting area to the place where he would rest. "Halt!" A sandpaper voice said through the darkness of the night. It was Shizen's brother, Wakusei, the new Coven Leader. Shizen paid him no mind as he walked out of the ruins, to his place of rest. Estimated Level of Difficulty: If you know my usual character Valen, easy. If not, medium. There we go. Starlight, welcome back to OtakuBoards. Be sure to read Flynn's sticky if you have not done so. He's become a real pest about enforcing that. (j/k Flynn, ya know we all love ya.)
3. Then since we cannot remove it, can we have a skin that is just like the older versions of vB? Those were so much easier to navigate and much less cluttered.
4. Sorry I'm late. Here's the stuff. Name: Ryouga Hibiki, a.k.a. "P-Chan" and "Charlotte". Age: 18 Cursed: Spring of Drowned Pig Eyes: Hazel Hair: Black Weapon: 200lb. Umbrella, headbands. Style: Various, but mainly techniques involving shattered rocks. Techniques: Bokusai Tenketsu - "Shattering Point Strike", Ryouga strikes a hard object, shattering it to a thousand (or more) pieces. Not as effective against a human, but still very painful. Shi Shi Hokodan - Depression assault. A large ball of depression aura is launched, greatly injuring the opponent. When Ryouga's around Akane Tendo, this seems to be an extremely deadly attack. Headband Throw - Ryouga stiffens his headband (of which there appear to be very many....somehow) and hurls it. The headband now acts like a buzz-saw. Akane's current haircut can be blamed on this technique. Appearance: Ryoga is the one standing up, and P-Chan is the little black piglet. Personality: Ryouga's a nice enough guy......when he's not insulted. He takes any slight, real or imagined, to the next level. Meaning he's a very vengeful person. He's been chasing Ranma various reasons for about three years. Of course, as the only person who can fight on Ranma's terms, this might have been over with years ago. But there's the thing about Ryouga's sense of direction. Which makes any task involving walking one helluva chore. Bio: The sun is setting behind the Tendo Dojo and it's dinner time. Ryoga and Ranma have been forced to eat her cooking. The two are totally dreading this entire thing, when in walks Akane. "Ready to eat?" The two look at each other and swallow hard. This would be nice, except for the small fact that AKANE CAN'T COOK! Ryoga thought to himself. He looked at Ranma as if to see if Ranma had a plan. Ranma returned the same look of worry and helplessness as he had recieved. This worried him. Akane walked back into the kitchen and Ranma and Ryoga sighed a sigh of relief.Maybe she was just joking. Just as he thought that, Akane emerged from the kitchen carrying a platter of... what the heck was it?! It looked like a green blob with an orange blob next to it, then a reddish-looking roll-type thing. What's this? ...It... actually.. smells edible! ....but it looks disgusting! They both thought as Akane set it on the table in front of them. Akane looked very delighted at the fact that this has to be the best she has ever done. Ranma was lucky enough to be Akane's taste-tester. Ranma hesitantly reached over with his chop stick and tried to get a little of the green blob, but there was a problem! The stick wouldn't go in! Ryoga watched with a certain pleasure that maybe they wouldn't have to eat it after all. Ranma decided that maybe it was just him being paranoid that made it seem that hard. He jabbed the stick into the blob when something terrible happened. The chop stick BROKE! Akane's eyes widened as she noticed this, then slumped down on the floor. Real nice, Ranma... you made her cry now. Ryoga thought as he decided to take a taste of the green blob just to make him look like the nice one. Ryoga's face turned expressionless as he fell backward. Ranma jumped up as he noticed Akane's posture and tried to console her by promising to give her tips on cooking. Ryoga got up, his face very red, and glared at Ranma. "You know, Ranma, her food isn't that bad. You should at least give her credit for trying to make something... even if it breaks the chop sticks." Ryoga told Ranma, hoping to make Akane feel better. Akane shot up and smiled. "You liked it!? Really!? Yay!" "Well....erm... I...uh... that is... uh...." Was all Ryoga could say. Ranma smirked at this. "Uh... could... uh... can I be excused?" Ryoga shot up from the table and tried to find the bathroom, but to no avail. The minute he stepped out of the dining area, he was lost... "Oh! And don't go getting lost, Ryoga! Remember what happened last time!" Ranma added just as he stepped out. And so starts his journey... to find the bathroom and get Akane's food out of his system... Goal in Life: Avenge himself upon Ranma and then marry Akane..... if he can handle seeing a girl for more than four seconds without getting a nosebleed. When played as Ryoga, the text will be this color, and when as P-Chan, this color.
5. Save a spot for me, as we discussed. I am currently fooling around with the keyboard and I shall edit this as soon as I am finished. Valen takes a bow and continues to work on a small desk in a cluttered room illuminated by a single lamp. Reply to Flynn's future post: just shut up.
6. Yech, you said it Chibi Subaru. But the one thing that I find that tops even the sour eggnog is the turkey dressing at my elementary school. They put it over the cornbread dressing stuff and gawd! Just the mushyness of it is enough to make you throw up, let alone the taste... Ugh.

8. As for the answer to your question, they try to capture Pikachu because it's one of the stronger pokémon. Then again, Team Rocket is quite weak as well, but meh. Pikachu isn't actually a common pokémon. Pokémon Yellow is an actual spinoff of the show itself, thus why Pikachu follows Ash in the game--until you evolve him that is. Therefore, Pikachu is quite the rare pokémon. The reason they don't die is, well, they're the villians. Without them, the show would be as boring as a log sitting there rotting away.... Come to think of it, watching a log rot is actually quite the awesome experience. Anyway, that's but one of the many reasons they do not die. Yet another reason, they're the main comedy source. Though the names Jessie and James does resemble one of the most villianious criminals in all of history: Jessie James.
9. A) The Magical Sword (I think). Q) In the Original Zelda, there are two items available when you give the old lady in the rock a slip of paper. What are the two items, and what are their variable prices?
10. Sia was somewhat suprised that Morpheous was actually going to be with them. He saluted Morpheous and happily agreed. "Yessir! Welcome aboard the Nokia." Sia said after a quick smirk. "At ease." Morpheous told Sia as he returned a salute. "The Nokia will be taking off in a matter of minutes. Find a seat, strap in, and hold on tight. It's going to be a bumpy ride." Informed Sia as he took his seat at the controls while the Captain came onto the intercom. -------------------------- OOC: HINT HINT, Mr. Nokia Captain!
11. They've chosen mine aswell, but all they're gonna do is send you an Artists' Proof so you can reread it, then initial it, and try to get you to pay to write about yourself in it. Congrats though. Very nice poem though, definately publishable material. Very depressive and to detailed... I like it!
12. Yep, U.S. and soon to be the U.K. Thanks mon!
13. Deep mon, very deeply touching. That is quite the good poem... you should send it in to Poetry.com and get a chance to have it published. That's what I did and it's in Eternal Portraits in the U.S. and some other book coming out in Feb 2004 in Europe.
14. OOC: First person post to make it easier on the fight. ----- IC: I raised my weapon to chest level and held it straight out in front of me, the tip pointing towards the first bounty hunter. Valen: .... I think not. I abandoned my sister and brother once, and it shant happen again. Die. Now. I charged at the bounty hunter with extreme force as the momentum of my blade got banked aside by the bounty hunter. I was now right up against the bounty hunter with my katana extended to the left. Just as he noticed I was this close, I jabbed his elbow upward, knocking the wind out of the him, causing the medium-build man to hunch over. At that point, I saw this opportunity to bring my katana up and over my head, causing the glimmering silver blade to slice through the man's back as if it were nothing but air. I then raised and repeated. Crimson fluid began to ooze out of his body from the thin tears in his flesh from the katana. I raised my katana once more, bringing it back down to my side. Kicking the bleeding man, I uppercutted him just for good measure, stood on his neck, then brought the katana down one final time. This time, right between the left and right atreums of the heart, causing a fountain of blood to shoot up from the body. I leapt backward, withdrawing my katana from the body, and landing in a kneeling position. Two more bounty hunters charged in at me as I spun, swinging the katana 360 degrees, causing a slight shockwave as it collided with the other bounty hunters' swords. Valen: ...
15. While Hunter was telling his tale, Valen turned to the door and told the others he'd be back in a bit. As they nodded, he headed to the door, went out, and saw that a pub was nearby. He decided to go in and have a look around. Pub Owner: Hello good sir! What can I do for you? Valen: Did you see anyone that looks like this come through this town? Valen held up a picture of Bleed, as the Pub owner shook his head. Owner: No sir, I haven't seen anything that hideous come through here lately. Valen: ...Lately? Owner: ...Uh.... Valen turned around and left for the Inn again to hear the rest of Hunter's story, for he, too, was interested in where Hunter has been for this long.
16. Last I heard (in one of James' announcements, does nobody read them?!) it was last changed to I think around 20,000 or something of the sort. T'was a high number way in the five digit range... I know that much.

Masamune

Lol, last I heard the message minimum was at least four complete sentences. So to start things off, I would like to thank Legacy for explaining a bit of the story, but one little problem... We shall see who gets the prize, and who gets the sword, lol. The "Old Group" consists of our happy little insane family-like group consisting of The Harlequin, Legacy, myself, Shinkoru, Barra Maral (hopefully), and a couple of others that don't like to post much anymore. Sure there's occasionally Raiha, James, Charles, and a few of the other Mods that join in, but that's mainly by request and if they really like it. As for the PMing everyone to agree on what to do next, it's usually a rare thing (if they do do it they tend to leave me out of it...). That's about it. Oh, and Flynn, indeed, that was a very interesting bio.

My medium sized Crimson wings are concealed by the shirt when they are retracted. My eyes are an ice blue colour with a slight golden tint to them. My hair flows to about my lower back tied into a ponytail. I am 5'9" and weild my trusty Isis Katana, of which many a Angel has fallen victim to. Biography: After my mortal death at age 19, I became Satan's right hand man until this 'Holy War' broke out, and since then I have been stuck in the bowles of Hell protecting the gates from the intruding Angels, most of whom I have slain single handedly. I proudly await my next challenge. Theme Song: Promised Land, by my band, In Vain.

Masamune

With the help of Legacy... Masamune The quest for the legendary sword has spanned the centuries. Many soldiers and warriors have given their lives in pursuit of the blade that supposedly spawned the Golden Ages of the Lost Empires. The Halcyon. Only four ?men? have ever touched this blade. The god that forged it, the god that wielded it, the demon that fell against it, and the mortal shepherd that hid the weapon away. It is said that a single warrior once found the blade embedded within a tree stump at the far end of the world, but turned back when the golden glow of the blade discouraged his blood-stained soul from wielding the pure weapon. He died at the hands of the Guardian ten minutes later. The blade, ancient and lost, has faded into the obscurity of mere legend, as all things of the sort do.. Now, however, the demon lord Nyrlol Aerinha has returned to Neverfallen?. Valensia Cernunnos practiced as hard as he could. His Graduate Exam for Goriolo Academy was just around the corner, and he needed all of his wits and skills about him for his test battle against Master Muirin. His blade rose and fell with deadly accuracy, overwhelming power, and admirable grace. He turned from the target, focusing on it as he closed his eyes, sensing it as it moved through the woods. He envisioned it engulfed in flames, chanted a few words in a string, and instantly the target was decimated. Naturally, against a fighter as seasoned as Magemaster Serenol Ashenmyst Muirin, this would be less than a match to light a cigarette. Valensia sighed and restarted the training with another target, lifting his katana, a blade named Masamune that had been his since birth, he sliced the target from the holding board. He smiled grimly?. Two Days Later Valensia sighed as he entered the examination pit. He stared ahead. If only he?d been given a different examiner besides Serenol. His was the most famous in Goriolo. ?Valensia Cernunnos. Your goal is to hit me?.once.? Valensia sighed. It would be all but impossible? Name: Valensia Cernunnos Age: 21 Race: Vaati (Alabaster-skinned Wind-elves) Height: 6?7? Weight: 250 lbs. Hair: Long white hair tied in a ponytail. Eyes: Crimson Weapons: Masamune (72 inch-blade katana), twin knives, and a crossbow Magic: Goriolo incediary spells, Goiolo basic freezing spells, and a self-made set of Masamune spells Education: Goriolo Fighter?s Academy, Distinguished Student level, five years Masters: Serenol Ashenmyst Muirin (Battle), Artem Legacy Rangues (Tactics and magic), and Ryth Fox Lethraina (Natural conditions and weapon skills), first class Magemasters (All 3), Order of Redvinerose (All 3), Order of Silverblood (All 3) Biography: His birth shrouded in mystery, he and his elder siblings lost their mother during his birth. Valensia grew up in the care of Goriolo Academy, the three weapons gifted upon him and his sister and brother, Eve and Ryth, both with names chosen from history, and his wayward ?mentor?, a captain in the military faction known as TRITON. He took up lessons in Goriolo upon his turning of age and began lessons with his ten-year senior brother. His sister, who?d disappeared some years earlier, had simply taken Shinkoru, her blade of ice, and left. Ryth and Alaris, the wind sword that moved faster than light and more fluidly than water, had taught Valensia the most valuable lessons of all. The lessons sealed within the blade. He took the exam of graduation, battling against his mentor Serenol Muirin. He landed the single hit in record time, a record previously set by his older brother. The records were placed in the hall side by side, and everyone who looked to the paper noticed they had the exact same time?. During the ceremony of Knighting, Valensia was struck by an intense feeling of despair arising from the south, where a large meteor had just crashed. Within minutes, messengers came rushing towards the Academy, requesting aid. Nyrlol was back. Valensia did not notice that Masamune was reacting to Nyrlol?s presence, indeed he did not know it reacted because its brother blade also reacted. The Halcyon ached to be held against Nyrlol Aerinha?.. --- Take it, Legacy.
20. Bal heard a noise that sounded like a falcon call. He instinctively turned around after alerting Valen of the incoming bird. Valen turned around only to see an old friend. "ARTEA! What a surprise! How's Hunter?" Artea dropped the fine green jewel into Valen's palm and crooned. Valen nodded and was ready. "Tell Hunter I'll be there shortly.... Come, Bal... TO BLEED!" Valen's katana was raised high above his head as he said that. "What is it, Val? ...and who was that?" Bal inquired with a slight look of confusion on his face. "Oh, that was just Artea. Come now, we must FLY!....Erm... well, teleport." "Teleport? ....You have lost it. There is no way we can--" Before Bal could finish his sentence, Valen had already clutched the jewel and willed the two to be teleported to the other jewel.
21. The two came upon a somewhat tattered fortress that Valen knew all too well. The walls looked to be centuries old, and the keep looked like it was about to collapse. After a few moments of observing the fortress, a shriek came from the window of the keep. "EVE!" Valen shouted toward the Keep, only to be cut short by Bal. "...Something is not right." Bal noticed that one of the walls were thinner than they should have been for a fortress. "This is quite odd, though. This wall is not as the others are." Valen noticed what Bal was speaking of. "I see... I don't know what I see..." He walked into the citadel, in hopes of finding something. Bal followed. There was a slight noise of a branch breaking in the courtyard area of the fortress. "Valen! Watch out! This isn't a fortress!" Bal yelled to Valen, noticing that the courtyard had no trees. The winds picked up behind Bal and a figure appeared, or so it seemed. "Very preceptive, lad. Heh, did you think it would be that easy? I don't think so." The figure said. "...Bleed...." Valen whispered as he withdrew his blade and charged at the figure. He leapt with the katana above his head and came crashing down through the figure. As the katana hit, the figure disappeared. "...What...The...?!" Valen wondered as he stayed in his jump-slash position. "An Astral Image...." Bal confirmed as the entire fortress disappeared. The trees began to show themselves once again, and as they did, they revealed an elven villiage.
22. Sorry about that... Name: Lalithairsan Valensia Von Cernunnos (Valensia for short) Age: 26 Gender: Male Personality: For the most part he's a very laid back guy. He takes life as a game, where the one with the most victims wins in the end. He'll only attack when provoked, or is in the mood for some "fun." Race: Vampire Appearance: Valensia is 5'8" and his White hair is down to his lower back tied back in a pony tail over a midnight cloak that covers to his feet. His eyes are iceburg blue with a goldent tint in his irises. His skin tone is very pale. Valen's attire consists of combat boots, black jeans, and a skin-tight black shirt. Weapons: Isis Katana. A katana forged with an Isis Dagger as a hilt. The blade is encrusted with runes with jewels on the hilt. The sheath also has runes on it. History: Lalithairsan's history is shrouded in mystery. All that is known about him is that he loves the taste of blood and does not care who or what it is.
