1. But if you want to find a Keyword within a thread, you can always press CTRL+F(IE3 or higher dunno about AoL and Netscape) and that will open the Find feature in the browser and you can search for a keyword there.
2. Actually, yes, it is possible to put a spellchecker on a Vbulletin board, but it would only be an option in your post, thus rarely will the members use it if its not something like in a spar or RPG. But it would be nice to have at least in the RPG and Spar sections... because some of the members can't spell to save their life. No offense to those that apply, but just saying...
3. Only through 2004?! Dude... that's not enough time for some of us to get it especially if they only want to run it through 2004... gives us MAX 17 months to get it... that really sucks...
4. You want a challenging Zelda game? Zelda II. Not A Link To The Past, that was #3... and my favorite. It had a good storyline, easy controls, not too hard, not too easy, and dungeon design was superb! I have to admit though, with Zelda's only real competitor being Final Fantasy, aside from the accident on Gamecube, Zelda will keep going and keep getting better... hopefully... and then maybe I'll have another favorite... maybe not. It all depends on three factors for me, Gameplay, Graphics, music. If the music is annoying and repetitive, I just can't sit through the game... simple as that...
5. Anyone remember the original Mario game? No, I'm not talking about the one with duck hunt on it. I'm talking about way back when... Atari times... with DK kidnapping Princess Toadstool, the ladders, barrels, those were the good days... when games weren't as complicated or had as big of a plot as they do now... anyone care to share what they remember about it? The 2nd best game on atari... Pong was #1 for me, but then came the mario game and well, it was number 2 lol. Well, anyone?
6. Well, according to Playstation Underground (don't ask why I'm subscribed to that lol), FFXI will be released in the U.S. in June-August 2003, depending on how it does in Japan. But an up side to being with PSU, it had a FFXI demo... one boss fight though... I don't say this about Final Fantasies, but the maker of FF must have either been half asleep when he made it or drunk, because it just... the battle system sucked, characters were so-so, overall, i'd give it a 3...
Originally posted by Cloud All the Final Fantasy's had their ups and downs, the job system was just about the only "up" for FFV though... It was a really neat game, i enjoyed it a lot, but it just didn't keep me as interested as most of the other games.... And then there was that incident at Wal-Mart which deleted everything on my memory card and corrupted it 3/4 of the way through FFV..... but thats another story.
I agree, graphocs weren't that great, story kinda sucked, but job system was what kept me going in it... and as for that wal-mart thing... why did you have your memory card in the thing anyway? They want you to do that so you'll have to spend more money with them and get a new memory card... its all about the money! Ahem... don't mind me... just another hopeless Final Fantasy addict...
8. I believe you can... but it'll cost ya starchips...how? you know the seven or nine numbers on the bottom left of the cards? put those numbers in as the code.
9. OOC: Sorry I've been out, comp was being a pain in the... well, you get the picture... I see I just joined in on the fight eh? I hope this is how the story is goin, cuz I don't have enough time to read all that I missed, ya know? ------- IC: Valen ran towards the battle drawing his Isis Katana and preparing for battle. The second Valen came to the Griffith, he tried to slash it multiple times, but to no avail. Valen: What the hell are you?! Oh well, no matter who or what you are, nobody messes with us and lives to tell about it! Valen jumps back landing with one knee on the ground and the katana sticking into the ground. He mutters something as he arises without his katana. Valen: (whispered) Four Winds Magic. As he chanted, the sky turned a gloomy grey as the wind started picking up around the katana. Moments later, a cyclone of wind came crashing down around Valen and the Isis Katana. It looked as though Valen had fled from the battle, for when the winds calmed and all the debris and dust settled, Valen was nowhere to be seen. Visor: (to himself) He takes one slash at the Griffin and he runs away! Just as Visor said that, Valen came diving with the katana pointed straight at the Griffin below. Valen slammed the katana on the griffin and he was thrown back with the katana sitting right by the Griffin. Valen: ... great... real good...
10. I have my dream team, and it us unbeatable thus far... my team is Eevee Jolteon Vaporeon Flareon Umbreon Espeon The six Eevees, they do pretty well when they learn feint attack and their special move, i.e., Vaporeon = Hydro Pump.
11. If I didn't know any better, I'd say it was either Dirty Pair Flash or Bastard Resurrection... but I know it isn't... it might be either Saber Marionette J or My Dear Marie...
12. But if you don't feel like going there and reading, here is a short summary. There is a young boy named Yugi Moto(sp?) and his friends, Joey, Mai, Keith, and his grandpa that are into a duel monsters game. Yugi has what is called a Millenium Puzzle, which is one of seven items from ancient Egypt where they used to play the Shadow Games. A man named Maxamillion Pegasus, the creator of Duel Monsters, finds out about Yugi's item and sends Yugi a dueler's glove and a video tape. Pegasus uses his Millenium Eye to transport Yugi and him into the Shadow Realm, a realm where you actually summon the creatures on the card, and begins a battle. Later on, Yugi gets extremely mad and accedentaly taps into the Millenium Puzzle and becomes Yami Yugi, the serious duelist, and I think its his ancestor or something, but anyway, Yami Yugi is then taking over the mind and body of Yugi and battles, and the two of them become friends, and so on and so on.... blah blah blah... you get the idea right?
13. I have to admit, I didn't think it would be a good game after seeing the beginning of it. But after a while, i kinda grew to love it and now, i'm addicted............again. Yes, ginny, the storyline somewhat follows that of FFIX, but the battle system is far greater....well, not really much better than the FF series, but it is a good game. The story goes a little something like: One boy from a village called Rim Elm sets out on a quest to revive what's called a Genisis Tree to drive back the Mist, which in turn, allows the Seru to posess humans not wearing a Ra-Seru, or gaurdian seru if you will. Along the way, Vahn, the main character, meets up with a couple of other people selected by a Ra-Seru and together they embark to drive away the mist from the world. It goes something like that... can't go much farther without getting spoilers in it...
14. One question.... have any of you played the playstation version of the YuGiOh game? it allows you to put the cards face-down in attack mode in the FIRST turn they come out, or you do a Flip Effect magic card. But if you guys want proof to end this debate, here it is... "Set - The act of placing a card face-down on the field is referred to as "Set". A Set card's effect is not activated immediately. Also, a Set Monster Card is not considered to be summoned until it is turned face-up. A Set monster must be placed HORIZONTALLY, in face-down Defense Position (monsters summoned normally are placed VERTICALLY, in face-up Attack Position). Set Magic and Trap Cards are placed vertically on the field." And I go by the rules on the psx game, you CAN play a card face down in ATTACK mode the turn it comes out only. If you want to attack, you must flip it over to the face-up position to attack. Same with defense mode.
15. You should start out making a deck with cards you like and see how it goes from there. I'd say put about 20 or so magic/ trap cards in it and the other 20 basic monsters (level 4 -- 4 stars -- or below so you don't have to do a Tribute Summon to bring a high level one out.), or you can go to Yu-Gi-Oh.com and try to get some ideas from there. If that doesn't work, Pojo may have the yu-gi section up now, so try there. But as far as themes go, i'd go with either a Pyro/Beast/Warrior combo... you know, the Pyro+Beast= Atk 2100, Def 2000 (or so) Flame Cerebrus... that is, with a poly card... Here are a few tips from U.D.E. for deck building... I. Keep the Monster Card to Magic/Trap Card ratio at 1 : 1 The building blocks of your Deck are the Monster Cards. No matter how many powerful Magic or Trap Cards you have, no monsters on the field means you've got nothing to defend your Life Points. A general rule of thumb is that roughly half of your Deck should be made up of monsters. Therefore, if you've got a Deck of 40 cards, around 20 should be Monster Cards. II. Keep The Number of High Level Monsters To A Minimum In order to perform a Tribute Summon (required for a Level 5 or higher monster), you will have to offer monsters as a Tribute. If your Deck is filled with high-level monsters, summoning them to the field will be very costly. Instead, include lots of Level 4 or lower monsters in your Deck and keep the number of high-level monsters to a minimum. III. Make Good Use Of Your Effect Monsters Effect Monsters with Magic or Trap effects play an important strategic role in your Duels. You can create a powerful Deck if you take full advantage of these effects. For example, the "Hane-Hane" card forces your opponent to return one monster from the field to their hand. Using this card at the right moment could leave your opponent's Life Points wide open for an attack from a high-level monster. IV. Include Cards That Increase Opportunities To Draw In a Duel, the basic rule is that you can only draw 1 card during the Draw Phase. Therefore, it is strategically to your advantage to be able to draw more cards than your opponent. For example, cards like "Pot Of Greed" increase your chances of drawing vital cards from your deck. V. How To Create Your Side Deck In between Duels, you are allowed to use a Side Deck of 15 cards to adjust the contents of your Deck. Prepare your Side Deck with cards that help address the weaknesses in your Deck or have the power to neutralize specific cards.
16. Has anyone ever played and/or heard of Legend of Legaia? If you haven't, I highly reccomend it. Yes, it is for PSX (Playstation 1), and the map movement is pretty slow, but the battle style and the FMVs are a nice addition to the game. The storyline is alright, it takes roughly 70-90 hours of straight gameplay to get through this single-disc game. This isn't just a game that you play through and be bored with it after the first time through. You can't help but to get into the story. Well, anyone played it, and did you like it?
17. All I can really help you with is get used to it... it's going to happen lots more in the game... anyway, try leveling up to get your HP higher and then take a stab at it... I'll try to call up my friend and see if we can help ya out farther... good luck!
18. I have to say I'm most like the Change of Heart card.I can make friends turn on eachother very easily, and sometimes I even turn on friends. Just depends on what kind of mood I'm in... Or the Toon Rabbit... no explination needed there...
19. OOC: Then take a break from OB... it helps sometimes... I'll post soon... the comp is having a little problem with staying connected long enough...
20. Visor: "Yeah, you're right." Valen: "I am?" Visor: "... yeah..." Valen: "Ok..." Karina: "Will you two shut up and get moving?" Valen and Visor: "Ok ok... sorry" Karina: "...men... eesh..."
21. Valen prepares for his strongest attack/spell... Valen: "I hope this works..." Valen faced the East as he called out a spell. The sky suddenly turned grey as bolts of lighting and strong gusts of wind continued to blast away at the beast. Valen fell to the ground for a few seconds. Valen: "Damn... I gotta practice that more." As Valen got up, the beast was just laying there not moving...

I agree with Lady Katana... cept about that Haunter. That's a kickazz Haunter. Typhlo -Charcoal ---Flame Wheel ---Thunder Punch ---Earthquake ---Sunny Day (Ups fire attacks too) Sandslash -Pokadotted Bow (whatever you get through that mystery gift thing... ) ---Slash ---Earthquake ---Dig ---Defense Curl -or- Extreme Speed You really should get a Hypno on the team too... something like this... Hypno -Twisted Spoon ---Psychic ---Double Kick ---Earthquake ---Rest He kicked butt in Stadium... Also replace Quagy with Jolteon (couldn't you see it coming?) Jolteon -Magnet ---Zap Cannon (R/B/Y would have ThunderBolt here) ---Twin Needle ---Double Kick ---Thunder or Shock That's what I would do... I would replace Umbreon with Hypno...
24. You mean FFXI and FFXII? Yeah, I heard about those also... they seem cool... but I wouldn't trust rumors. I'm waiting to hear it straight from Sony or Square...

I'm Lost

Actually, if you have just met Freya, go get Sara(Garnet, Dagger, whatever), and head out to go to Freya's home that she speaks of. It will be a straight run from Lindblum(Consult your map if you have trouble). After you're there, check behind the crates for a Stellizaro or whatever coin.
