1. The name of the song is in the legend: "Disturb not the harmony of Fire, Ice, or Lightning. Lest these titans wreak destruction upon the world in which they clash. The water's great gaurdian shall rise to quail their fighting. Alone it shall fail thus the world shall turn to Ash. Into the dying hands, bring together all three. The treasures combined tame the beast of the sea. From the trio of islands, all three shall you take, for between life and death all the difference you'll make. Fight to the shrine to right what is wrong, and the world shall be healed by the Gaurdian Song..." (Taken from The Chosen One by the B-52's on the soundtrack.) So yes, the name of the melody would be the Gaurdian's Song, but the name they use for The Power Of One would be "The Legend Comes To Life." Hope that helped. I agree though, the song was awesome in its own sense. Too bad I don't have the whole song on my computer anymore, but I have learned how to play it on the flute, so I guess it's all good...
  2. You've basically got the idea, with one exception--
Ultimecia wanted to achieve Time Compression to create a world in which only she could live. Past, Present, and Future as one.
As for the question on if Squall knew, I think he did. If he payed attention when
Ellone was explaining about how she could only send someone into the past as someone she knew, she almost flat out told him.
3. I don't know, ask Sara about it and I'm sure she'll probably come close it. But on topic, my biggest regret would have to be not regretting anything. I mean, as stated before, everything happens for a reason. Whether it be stupidity or 'fate,' it's all good if you come out of it alive and well. That's how I see it anyway. "There's no point in living if you can't feel alive"
  4. That one you had to hit the tail of in Link's Awakening was the third Pendant's boss(Moldrum is his name, by the way) in Link to the Past, and once you hit him twice he'd go into a frenzy and speed up. Very annoying, especially if you fall to the floor below, then you get to do it all over again! Joy. My favorite boss would have to have been Morpha in OoT. Sure she was annoying when she picked you up, but the majesticness of it was awesome! If not Morpha, then the Wizard Agahnim from Link to the Past. I liked the way you had to beat him-- with a net. You had two options: 1. Deflect his magic with the sword, or 2. Deflect his magic with the Bug-Catching Net. Either way was great.
  5. Ocrania Of Time, Majora's Mask, Link's Awakening (That 'Hole Garden' thing to get the 3rd(Slime) key) and I think that's all...
  6. Ditto, Smeargle, Mew, Celebi, and Magikarp (traded in Red/Blue/Yellow)? If this is right, I'll edit the post and put in a Q.
  7. Are we counting him and the three on/under the goopy-slimey substance? Counting him & the slimey-stuff eyes, it's 13... I think...
  8. I think he has nine... Wait! Isn't Misery Mire the one where you get the hookshot? If so, the boss is Arrghus... but if not, then that leads me into my question. Arrghus, boss of Level 5(Dark World level) in Link To The Past has how many little puss/crusty things around the eye?

To make things easier, I've noticed it doubles every rank. Building on what Baron has: 250 posts=Junior Member 500 posts=Member 1000=Otaku 2000=Extreme Otaku 4000=No Life 5000(I think, ask Raiha)=I live here I think that's all... I guess we'll have to wait for Raiha to break the ranks again...
  10.
Also Valen, the creation of Earth has not been proven either.
Never said it was....
What was it you said about contacting dead people...it's impossible?
It is very possible and has happened in many cases.
Well, tell me how you can go back in time and see the creation of the world. Sure, there are ideas; but their proof is as founded and disputed as ideas of creationism. Please don't presume to know everything.
I'm not. I'm telling what I've been taught, nothing more.
Did I come off as anal-retentive in this post?
Just a bit....
We live in a country where we are allowed to choose our own religion, this means if your offended by someone?s religion you don't have to listen to it.
Which also means you shouldn't go around saying "Oh! You're not Christian! I'll pray for you and try to save you!" or "What? You're not Christian? YOU'RE GOING TO HELL!" The above was not directed directly towards anyone, only those who run around saying it. Trust me, it'll only make the people hate you more. On a lighter note....
There are only two supernatural forces, one for good, one for evil. All that is good comes from God, all that is evil comes from Satan, therefore anything that is not from God is from Satan. Wicca, though seemingly harmless, is under that category because it supports idolatry and confuses the ideas of good and evil. It's just another good thing (respect and love for nature) that has been twisted into something wrong.
I see what you're saying, but Wicca doesn't support or deny anything really. Like I said before, it's not Wicca as a whole, but the ones who do bad things that gets recognized the most, thus making it seem that Wiccans are these Satanists out to kill everything, sacrafice pigs, birds, lizards, and other creatures. Definately not what most Wiccans do, rather, we try to strive for harmony on all levels... but when we get nagged at to "convert to Christianity and be saved or you're going to hell!" That's when we get angry... and you really don't want to get a heavy practitioner of the Dark Arts angry. Trust me.
  11.
I have noticed, though, that many wiccans feel that everyone's trying to oppress them and that they're right bout everything and are better than you because you are any other religion?especially christian.
No, Genkai, we just dislike the fact that Christians mutilated us then moved on as if nothing happened, leaving us to be the outcasts of society and feared by most. There are still many that try to oppress us and many of us have had some kind of hatred attack against us for being Wiccan and not wanting to become Christian.

    Names
Originally Posted By Drix I guess whoever wants to sign up should wipe their tears and think of something a BIT more origional than ssjgoku...
I agree. I mean, look how many people have names strictly from DB/Z/GT and YuGiOh and Digimon. What happened to all the other good names, like characters from X/1999 or DPF? Oh, and Wrist Cutter... I am suprised you're not banned yet. I'm not trying to sound mean or anything, but come on...
  13.
Originally posted by GuardianStorm ANywho, i just thought of aomething. how do we know there is any god/eeses? i mean, is there God, Slene, Apollo, Posiedn(sp)? How do we know that even one exists? we dont. we worship whoever and were not bad because we dont know if they even exist.
Yes, that is very true. We don't know for sure, and nor does anyone that hasn't died yet, and there's not many ways to find out then, now is there? lol, unless somoene conducts a seance to speak directly to a spirit that has passed and ask that spirit to kindly tell us the truth and who/what it is, if anything. For all we know, there could be nothing that made the Earth, universe, etc., but a simple chemical reaction or something of the sort. Our bodies may not even have a spirit/soul or even serve a purpose on this planet, except to give the parental bodies hapiness for a while. Heh, that's kind of depressing too...
  14. OT: Lol, this has become quite the suprising thread. IT:
Personally, if she doesn't want you to be saved, she isn't all that awesome of a friend.
Just a small question on that... How, in a very formal way, would you be "saved" from something created by one man who was bored, wrote a book, someone picked it up and considered it a "holy manuscript," then made a religion of it? I'm not saying God doesn't exist, he very well could exist, but what I don't get, nor ever gotten because our so-called "priest" couldn't even answer this, is why do so many worship when their second commandment was "Thou shalt not worship" or idolize or something like that? They're breaking their own rules. As for the whole "magic is evil" thing, what did that Moses dude use when he parted the Red Sea? Trade Winds?
Or you could practice magic and be a christian but if you believe that then I'm afraid you're going to hell.
Hell eh? And where might this Hell place be at, hmm? ...Oh yeah, and if you think Wicca is a strict religion that has a base belief system that says you have to believe in multiple gods/goddesses, you're very wrong. You can believe in only one god or goddess and not be given a second thought, whereas in Christianity, if you don't believe in something about it you'll be looked on as someone who needs "saving" from the unknown. Which is another reason I like Wicca way more than Christianity. No offense to anyone that's a heavy believer of Christianity, but meh, just the way I see things. Sorry if I sound weird and debatably angry or whatever, I'm not. Just asking a few questions that 4 years of Catacysm did not answer, nor could, and expressing my views as James encourages.
  15. Yeah, Samhain is great. I don't know whether I like Samhain or Beltane more... The May Day drink is superb! ...and slightly alcoholic, but that's okay! ...But I don't know if being Pagan really classifies you as being part of The Craft like Wicca does, I mean the word Pagan really refers to anyone who is not part of one of the Judeo(Judo?) religions... but meh, that's just my take on that one. Back on the topic of fav holiday, after much thought, I have concluded that Samhain is definately my favorite holiday. Ah, All Souls Night.... gotta love it.
  16. The bible actually contradicts itself aswell, if you read into it enough. I'm not a serious, everyday practitioner of The Craft, but I am Wiccan and it really is fun, well with Samhain comming right around the corner.
The Craft is a little frightening at times, but it isnt any different than miracles, only things happen more often, and are more likley to happen.
Yeah, that is true, but the reason for it isn't exactly Magic as some would call, but rather you believe it as Magic and send more energies into the universe to change it as you see fit. That's why they seem to happen more often. Personally, I don't believe The Craft is either good or bad. It really all depends on who the practitioner is and how they use it. I guess I would say it's neutral.
  17. Adam, Adam, Adam... The greatness of these options fully surpasses all expectations for this, with one small thing... can you make #2 and #3 optional? Those things can get pretty annoying very quickly. As for new things, an HTML guide would be sweet, also with maybe a small PHP guide? I know someone who could probably/possibly do a PHP guide for ya...
  18. This should be in the Anime Lounge catagory, but you could try a search on yahoo.com here and hopefully you'll find what you're looking for. And as for my favorite Anime Mag, I don't know the name of it, but it's featured with excerts from the latest Mangas. I like it because I can keep up with all my Mangas and know when new volumes of them are comming out and things of the such.
  19. I'd hate to have to agree with TN on this one, but that's exactly what happened. All you can do now is get over it and move on with life-- and find some new friends who won't just use you. Sorry to sound harsh, but sometimes the truth is harsh. Oh, and Harry, many guys go out with multiple girls and think it's manly to do that. Especially easy when the girls have a thing for eachother and the guy... and we'll just leave it at that.
  20. I say this "normal" that people speak of is really nonexistant. Like at school, the group I hang out in is considered the "weirdo" group because we're all punks and maybe a couple of us goth, but the group that hangs out near the office is considered the "normal" group because they listen to pop, rap, etc. All in all though, being normal is vastly overrated, and is just as stormy_weather put it: "...normal is in the eye of the beholder." And that's my input.
  21. Well, not many members are on right now... maybe 15? But it's still early on in the morning and I'm sure a lot of others are browsing theOtaku, so meh... and yes, lag here is pretty bad.
  22. It's the logo for The Legend Of Zelda: A Link To The Past... I think. I'll wait for confirmation just to be safe...
  23. Yeah, don't give up. He's out there. Think of this as being one step closer to finding him. If he does come crawling back, don't let him back. A similar thing has happend with a good friend of mine. Her(We'll call her Steph) boyfriend broke up with her for someone else(her best friend[Jaimie]), no less) then after having a one night stand with Jaimie, went crawling back to Steph. This happened multiple times, and Steph accepted him back every time, only to be hurt deeper every time. Moral? Don't accept him back unless you truely believe that he is "afraid to commit", which in turn means he wants to explore his options and go with more people, then decide who was better. So if I were you, i wouldn't accept him back. OT: Sorry I was out for a while, net wasn't working right, but now it's fixed and I'm back into action here.
  24. Another way you can do it is to use the Ice Rod to freeze them, Power Glove yo pick them up, then throw them at your enemies. I can't remember if there was another way, but meh... As for the current Question, I haven't a clue... Haven't gotten Wind Waker yet.
  25. Lol! I got Purple Link... You're Purple Link, the upbeat, Rupee loving Link in the party. For you, it's all about the Rupees; the more the better, whether or not you yourself win. Whether it's fighting or solving puzzles, almost everything yields Rupees, so you love it all. You can be protective of the other Links, trying to keep them at full health to get the Rupee Fever bonus, and you love to accompany Blue Link to snatch up Rupees with the Boomerang. Green Link is always pushing you to forget about the extra Rupees, reminding you that Zelda is the real priority, however, so you don't get along with him very well sometimes. Nice quiz and article Des! Keep 'em commin'!
