"I met this lawyer, we went out to dinner, I had the lobster bisque, we went back to his place, yadda yadda yadda, I never heard from him again." "But you yadda yaddad over the best part." "No, I mentioned the bisque."
 2.
Originally posted by AnonymousSource 1) Grammar skills are a must in order to make logical and interesting posts. This helps students especially, and anyone could use grammar skills in life.
But how many people actually take the time to think about what they're typing? Even though OB has a higher-level of post quality than most large forums, I still see lots of very basic grammar and spelling mistakes. Countless members still don't seem to know the difference between your/you're or there/their/they're. I honestly don't think OB is really good for a whole lot other than entertainment. However, the fact you're reading for entertainment puts it a step above things like TV or music I suppose.
 3.
Originally posted by Hells Fire I should be sining me heart out: I look better then him, can sing better then him and, I am smarter then him so why is he famous and I'm not?
Maybe it's because you're using "then" when it should be "than".
 4. And yet here you are, visiting an anime message board in your free time.
 5.
Originally posted by MaggieMehve Wasn't there a part where George and the guy at the gym were whining about somebody not wiping off their sweat?
That was a different episode. Elaine was getting some signals from a guy at the gym, so she decided to flirt back with him. Meanwhile, George decides he has to pee in the shower, and the guy that Elaine's flirting with catches him. Later, the guy is working out and Elaine says she'll use the machine next, so the guy doesn't bother to wipe off his sweat. She obviously sees this as quite a signal. Meanwhile, George walks into the gym, turns on the stairmaster and gets his leg caught in the stairs (this is a hilarious scene... you have to see it). The guy, while working out and talking to Elaine, sees George and tells Elaine that he's probably going to turn him in now. Elaine, being George's friend (kind of), says "shouldn't you just forget about it?", and he replies, "well, I'd use any chance I can to talk with her", indicating some owner of the gym or something. Elaine, a little peeved at this remark, reminds him that he never wiped off the machine he was using and that too was a violation. So she never sees the guy again and George doesn't get in trouble.
 6. Oh yeah, that was a great episode. Kramer wore those special shoes and had that speech impediment from Jimmy punching him, so the guy thought he was mentally retarded. That was hilarious. I don't know if I can narrow down a favorite episode. I like the episode where Jerry tells this old school friend that George has become a marine biologist. She and George hook up, and he has to pretend he's a marine biologist, which gets ugly when they take a walk on the beach and there's a beached whale. "Is anyone here a marine biologist??" And then they're in Monk's talking about what happened. "The sea was angry that day my friends... like an old man trying to send back soup in a deli."
 7. I've been watching this show religiously for years. I always thought it was a popular show but it seems like most people I know don't watch it. My favorite character is David Puddy. He's just funny in every way. Like that whole episode with the fur... and then at the end he gets that horrible 8-ball jacket. "It's the 8 ball... you got a question, you ask the 8 ball." It was great. So many good quotes... "you stole my Jesus fish, didn't you?"

 9. I saw Snatch, and I thought it was really dull. I couldn't understand what was being said most of the time.
 10. I'm listening to "Silent Jealousy" by X. I've had this song for several years now and yet just recently I've really gotten into it. It's always been good, but everytime I listen to it now I'm just blown away.
 11.
Originally posted by Japan_86 What is this world coming too?
You say that like hate crimes are a new thing. The world has gotten much more tolerant over the last few decades and I assume it will continue to become moreso.
 12. John Lennon - Happy Xmas (War is Over) For some reason I don't hear this song a lot on radio stations and such. Really great Christmas song, one of the first that I think of when I think of Christmas. The Carpenters - Merry Christmas Darling They actually have quite a few Christmas songs, but unfortunately this is the only one I've heard. I'm sure the others are really good too... I really love Karen's voice. Mariah Carey - All I Want for Christmas is You Mariah Carey was the musician of the early '90s for me. Everyone in my family enjoyed listening to her, so I have to say I really enjoy her music. This song is no exception, it's more good stuff. It's a shame she's gone so downhill in this last few years. Bing Crosby - White Christmas This is just a classic. I've heard it hundreds of times at least... it's just not Christmas without this song. Trans-Siberian Orchestra - Carol of the Bells I don't think this is what they call it, but it's their take on the song. Tons of dramatic orchestration, guitar wailing and such... I unfortunately missed a chance to see them awhile back. tatsuro yamashita - CHRISTMAS EVE Perhaps his biggest hit, this isn't really a "happy" song, but at the same time really puts me in the mood for Christmas. kuwata keisuke - shiroi koibitotachi Not a "Christmas" song, but winter anyway. One of my favorites, definitely - keisuke is a one-in-a-million songwriter and this song is just beautiful. B'z - itsuka no MERRY CHRISTMAS This has been the most requested Christmas song for the past 5 years in Japan... pretty obvious why. Koshi and Tak are always very good at making heartfelt slow songs. Gackt - 12gatsu no Love song While this is essentially a "winter" song, there's just too much Christmas elements in it too ignore. One of Gackt's best songs in my opinion... Porno Graffitti - Hard Days, Holy Night They just released this about a month ago. Great, upbeat pop fare from the group with a Christmas flare to it. As usual the lyrics aren't quite as outright happy as the music though... That about does it for me.
 13.
Originally posted by Kieko here are SO many sports, actually, all the sports in our school are gender coded: there are no coed sports. And, on top of that, boys get extra sports that girls aren't given the opportunity to do! Like football and what not. (I love football! ^_^). I agree! Boys DO belittle girls! (It could go the opposite way, but I don't feel that way because basicly all my friends are boys and the two who aren't are tomboys like me).
Boys at my school can't play volleyball or do cheerleading. I'm sure there are other sports too.

 16. I think it should be the criminal's choice if they want to be punished for their actions or not.
 17. BOYS RULE GIRLS DROOL. Those are my thoughts on the subject.
 18. Wow. You have completely shown me the way. You're going to revolutionize the world. You're the Karl Marx of your generation. All religions, governments and morality will cease to exist and it will all be because of your INGENIOUS (and original) idea.

You should uncensor all of the boards. 8) Would you rather a decentralized forum system on OB (more forums, less activity per forum) or a centralized forum system (less forums, more activity per forum)? I don't know. I think the system this forum already has set up works well for it, even though other forums experience a lot of success with the other method. 9) Would you like to see a closer integration of myOtaku and OtakuBoards? 20.
Originally posted by the_fizz THANKS?!?! I know I am NOT any of the above and it is wrong of you to say that about people who get them.
I knew someone would take this the wrong way and fly off the handle about it. But it's a true fact. I'm not saying ignorant teenagers and trailer trash make up absolutely 100% of the abortion population, but I'm saying they make up the majority of the group. I think that's a fairly safe assumption, don't you? Sure, YOU may be in the 25% or so of the group that doesn't fall under that category.... but you're a minority don't you think?
 21.
Originally posted by PloKoonDS You may also think "only she is the one responsible and only she raises the child!" Typically, it's the truth. But the father (if he even has HALF of a brain) would be in that childs life and be a good figure and example to it. A kid is no joke, and it's nothing you can throw out when you don't want it anymore. It's not a piece of trash, or a used up can of coke. It's just as alive as you are, it's just soully dependant upon the mother and father.
I think a lot of the people who get abortions are people unfit to be parents at the time they get pregnant (ignorant teenagers, trailer trash, etc...) So in such a case adoption is clearly the choice to make, as opposed to just killing it.
 22. There's no such thing as an innocent spider. They must all be killed.
 23.
Originally posted by Charles If I'm lucky, she'll allow me to play in her garden exclusively. Now, suppose I accidentally plant my seed there. But, she doesn't want any crops growing in there. Do I have a right to tell her otherwise? After all, it is her garden.
That is a horrible excuse. How do you "accidentally" plant your seed? "Oops, my penis fell in your vagina and ejaculated right then and there. I don't know how it happened!" You can not "accidentally" get pregnant, unless you're doing a handstand while wearing a skirt and no panties and sperm is raining from the sky, but that'll be the day. Condoms and other forms of birth control are only 99% effective - so by having sex with these you are running the risk of pregnancy. It's not really "birth control", it's "risk reducer". And so if this woman gets pregnant, it was no accident. You had sex. You ran the risk, condoms or pills or what have you. EDIT: I'd just like to make one thing clear... I realize other people don't agree with me on this issue and most likely I'm not going to change any of your minds about it. I don't think you're bad people... I may disagree with your reasons for actions but that applies to lots of things, not just abortions. But it isn't an attack on specific people at all. I realize you don't agree with what I'm saying and in your eyes you aren't doing anything wrong... so I'm really in no position to judge you on that. I'm just (obviously) very strong on this issue and can't seem to stop posting my reasoning behind my thoughts here... so that's all. How very un-wrist cutter-ish.
 24.
Originally posted by Charles He said that the fetus is a parastic creature that relies on its host. So, he used "parasite" as a technical term to explain how it is the mother's right to decide whether or not she wishes to allow the parasite to live or die. Which, is a principle I agree with.
Of course, a two year old couldn't live in this world without its parents either. Its entire existance relies on its parents... without them, he/she would surely die. I don't care what you want to call it in technical terms it is STILL a human life.
 25.
Originally posted by PoisonTongue Think of amputation. I say this to the Pro-Lifers I meet. "Would you like someone else dictating what you can and cannot get a surgeon to amputate?"
How can you even begin to compare an amputation to abortion? Amputation is one's decision to hurt THEMSELVES. And it usually isn't life-threatening either. If you want to amputate your own arm, go for it. It's stupid and you'll suffer, but go right ahead. But pregnancy is a whole different situtation. By having abortion you are essentially pulling the plug on SOMEONE ELSE'S life. It still boggles my mind how people can condone the option of murder. And don't think I don't realize that women go through not just physical, but a ton of emotional turmoil as well. Pregnancy, especially unwanted pregnancy, is the single most life-changing event in a person's life. For the people who have gotten pregnant without wanting to, they're about to endure 9 months of physical pain as well as the emotional damage of their social lives. So they get to kill someone. They get to take a life of another to relieve their burden. Why? There are worse things that could happen, believe me. For over a year I struggled with a disease that caused me not only physical stress but emotional as well. For over a year. I hadn't even done anything to bring it about. While granted, it still doesn't quite measure up to the pain of pregnancy, I'm not entirely oblivious as to what experiencing long periods of strife can be like. But where's my "kill someone free" card? There are many, many people out there with problems worse than pregnancy that cannot simply be "disposed of".
