1. I've never stayed up all night, nor have I tried to... I just don't see the point of depriving myself of sleep. Who do I have to brag to? What do I have to prove? It just wouldn't seem like an accomplishment to me. Besides, I don't even like staying up late anymore. I don't really like being awake past 1:00, so I don't think I could manage to force myself to stay up much later.
2.
Originally posted by Transtic Nerve same with his arms, although he uses them more.
Well of course... he's a guy, he needs use of his hands :P
3. I've listened to Porno Graffitti all summer. Basically the same thing I've been doing for the past five years...
4. My friend is annoyed by the fact the majority of her friends are fans... so you're clearly not the only person who knows of them.
5.
Originally posted by James Because even though most of our rules are common sense, some of them are specifically tailored to our site
What are some of the rules that are specifically tailored to your site?
6. Yeah, the first thing I noticed is that her feet are friggin huge. That and the fact she looks like a Brontosaurus with that neck.
7.
Originally posted by Na'dou What? It's just a poem. What part are you talking about?...
The whole thing, it's like 1 and a half screens long... and I'm on 1024x768, with no miscellaneous toolbars or anything cluttering up the screen.
8.
Originally posted by Na'dou Mind you I don't cuss with the exception of the occasional p word
There's a P word? What the... Oh and your sig is really ungodly long there.
9. Didn't anyone else cry at "All Dogs go to Heaven"? I can't remember at all what the movie was like, I just remember I cried when I watched it haha... that was awhile ago though. Last week.
10.
Originally posted by Battosai But, what I wanna know is what are some good Japanese rock bands?
X! They are the best Japanese rock band... well metal band actually. Don't let anyone else fool you.
11.
Originally posted by klinanime1 and at least she can actually pronounce the english she has in her songs (unlike some...)
She was born in New York... English is her first language. That would explain that. And personally I don't see it as a bad thing when artists can't really pronounce the English in some of their songs all that way...
12. Seems like I've been on this thing for quite some time... I'm guessing fourth or fifth grade? I remember designing a webpage for my fifth grade class, so it had probably been at least a year that I'd known about it. Hah... that's when Netscape 2.0 was like, wow! hehe.
13.
Originally posted by Ohkami All her songs are about her boyfriend. They broke up but she still loves him.It may be real,it may be fake but whatever it is.It is very interesting and touching.
What's funny is that there was this huge deal a long time ago, because she married her photographer who did the "Can You Keep a Secret?" single. So I'd say she has pretty well moved on. Anyway, I've never been a fan of her. Her voice is annoying and she's a bit too r&b for me. Her song "Colors" is the only one I like, but possibly because they play it ALL THE TIME in that minivan commercial...
14. YOU'RE JUST DISCRIMINATING AGAINST "OVERWEIGHT" PEOPLE. Oh sorry caps.
15.
Originally posted by Change My favorite one would have to be the ideal partner one...I really should update my wants...
Hmm, didn't I make that thread?
16.
Originally posted by SadClown The only draw back is that Japanese has some LONG words. For example: "Ikanakerebanarimasen" - "must go".
Well first off it's two words. And second of all, both of them are derived from two rather short words: "iku" and "naru". It's just that there are a lot of verb adjustments necessary, which as you can see add up. And it looks a bit nicer if you speak in plain Japanese: ikanakereba naranai.
17. When you get a little more advanced I really recommend: http://www.timwerx.net/language/jpverbs/index.htm#contents But before you use this, you have to be very familiar with basic language. The site basically covers the various ways that verbs can be used to convey different things in the sentence. But by far the most useful site to anyone who wants to learn Japanese is: http://www-unix.oit.umass.edu/~thoureau/japanese.html I would recommend books before I'd recommend a website though. One last thing, once you learn to read Japanese (hiragana, katakana and about 500 kanji at least), one of the most useful places to learn is a Japanese website.... I mean, that's the source right there. You learn a lot better when you figure things out on your own anyway, as opposed to having some book/website tell you.
18. Well, I'll admit I have a crush on Kyoko Fukada... there, I said it. Oh, and I'm quite sure she's not the same sex as me.
19. I currently have a theme between my desktop and Winamp skin. I think it looks really quite nice.
20.
Originally posted by James What on Earth is that supposed to mean, Mr. Cutter? ~_^
In one of your posts you were stating that you had humanitarian views or something of that sort, and it was phrased exactly how it was in a history textbook that was drilled into us (and on the final exam!). So now I always think of ol' Jimmy when I see your posts.
21.
Originally posted by Charles You can only hear the same opinions from the same people so many times. *_*
And yet James is still popular, despite his "I Love Jimmy Carter!" attitude that he's had since the start.
22. Interesting. Someone sent me the song you mentioned awhile ago, they're really crazy about it. I don't think they're much a fan of the band overall though... I could be wrong. Anyway I was pretty indifferent towards the song.
23. The reason there's such a negative stigma attached to newbies is because most of them are unbelievably retarded (much like myself, but I slipped through the cracks). Now you are thinking, "what a horrible thing to say!". But it's true. Everyone was a newbie at some point, but some of them were not stupid, and today they are "oldies". All the morons are weeded out before they can ever become old.
24. I'm gonna laugh when it turns out someone has a crush on someone, and it turns out they're the same sex (and it ISN'T Transtic Nerve or any of the other gay/lesbian/bi members here).
