1. LOVE MACHINE by Morning Musume.
 2. I've always thought Morgan Freeman was a great actor. And not just for his role in Bruce Almighty either, heh. I don't even think I need to say who my favorite actress is, hehe.
 3. "The horny one". All that needs to be said.
 4.
Originally posted by Harry Last I checked, the only medication was putting a metal bar in your back making it straight.
You'd be hard pressed to find a doctor who would recommend doing that, as it can lead to other serious problems with your spine. Generally, surgery is seen as a "last resort" approach to the problem, when the deformation has gotten to the point where other treatments are ineffective.
 5.
Originally posted by Taylor Hewitt I don't think it's too serious but can sitting in front of the computer day after day for many hours cause it?
Maybe, but the disease is idiopathic, so nobody is sure as to how people get it. However 1 in 10 people with it are girls. The majority of people actually have a slight case of scoliosis, but the condition is only serious if it continues on progression. Like Mei said, If you believe you have a curve in your back I'd get it checked... usually if it's under a 20 degree curve (or if both curves are under 20, if you have two like I do) they just "check on it" and nothing is done unless you continue to get worse. So don't freak out unless you have a severe curve or your back continues to curve. Oh and unfortunately, the "cure" is about as ****** as the disease itself. Other than just causing back pain and general deformity, it can also cause your spine to rotate and thus misshape your ribs, which could end up crushing a lung. That is the most serious physical effect it could have on you since, well, that'd be death pretty much. And plus you'd just look awful if it got that bad. Sorry for such a long post, but this disease tends to consume most of your life and thoughts. So like I said, if you have it or think you have it, do everything you can to correct it. Thank you Kinetic. Most people don't understand the severity of the disease.
 6. I have scoliosis. And bad eyesight but that's not really a disease.
 7.
Originally posted by SadClown You don't go around hitting on every girl you see.
Not exactly true...
 8.
Originally posted by Star I Am Not Gay people are people, not some weird, inferior subspecies not deserving of the same things straight people can have.
You're going to have to repeat that for me... I can't believe what I'm hearing/reading here. You're comparing them with us???
 9.
Originally posted by PiroMunkie I have a quick question... are the Japanese fond of the French language? I have noticed in several song titles of stuff I have looked at that there is French in them. I mean, right there in your reccomended songs you have Raison D'etre. It is just something that I have been wondering for a while...
I think it became somewhat of a trend in the visual rock scene back in the early '90s when bands like L'Arc~en~Ciel started picking French names. It has since spread and now the majority of visual bands pick the weirdest names that, if not French, sure resemble it a lot. "raison d'etre" seems to be a particularly popular phrase for littering about the music. But this fascination with French seems pretty limited to visual bands, which are just a small portion of Japanese music. I haven't really seen it become a large deal in any other genre.
 10. I'm fine thank you and you? Really... everything seems A-OK around here to me. Maybe you're looking too deeply.
 11.
Originally posted by SadClown BTW, I tried d/ling some mp3's by a group called "Surface" and it was disturbing...
Yeah, you probably got some other Surface. Here, some songs I like: ?È?É?µ?Ä?ñ?Ì ?»?̐æ?ɁE?é?à?Ì ?Ì about love ?N?̐º?Å?N?Ì?·?×?Ä?Łc ?{?N?n?~?^?T???? .5 (HALF) ?»?ê?¶?á?o?C?o?C Maybe that'll get you started. Oh, and I'm not a jrocker... I listen to pop and rock and music not from Japan as well. BTW, some of these song titled don't show up right for some reason...
 12.
Originally posted by BlackDragon465 Considering I know no Japanese is hard to understand anything it says. The quality of the sound isn't very great either. I don't understand the song at all I will still give it a good rating since I am a fan of Japanese stuff.:)
The lyrics are unimportant. I didn't give a full quality sound sample because that would be slightly illegal, but I think this is ok. Oh, and bias points for the song, I love it.
Originally posted by SadClown I liked the song a lot! In fact, got any other recommendations by this band? But this thread makes me wonder if there are any real JRock fans here?
Every song they do is really good... just make sure you don't get them mixed up with one of the many other "Surface" groups out there (just look for Japanese titles I guess). As for real Jrock fans, no, there are none here as far as I know.
Originally posted by PiroMunkie Meh, I listened to about a minute or two of it. It had too much of a 'pop' sound for my tastes. I am not saying it was bad, it just did not appeal to me.
Well at least someone didn't BS their rating of the song. Yes, SURFACE would certainly fit pretty well in the pop category.
 13. I'm sure that by now all of you are WELL aware that SURFACE released a new single today, called "I'm Fine Thank You and You?". Actually, since it's written in Japanese, you have to pronounce it in a crippling Japanese accent - AIMU FAIN SENKYUU ENJUU? Undoubtedly taken out of their high school English textbook. Anyway I liked this song enough I figured I'd share it with you in wonderful 56kbps MP3 quality (bolded and underlined to catch your attention before you hit the back button). So click here to listen to this song. Now I know most of you could care less about this, but the title is FUNNY ENGRISH, surely that's some incentive to give it a listen. And afterwards you can always go back to listen to big angry man rock or cool tough guy gangsta rap or whatever it was you were listening to before.
 14.
Originally posted by James I'd ask her to use "OtakuBoards" as the baby's middle name, but that might be too much. ~_^
That's just sick. You need a vacation or something.
 15.
Originally posted by Geist Thanks everyone, for the support. You're advice really helped. What do you guys think of stage names? If you had a uninteresting name, would you use a stage name?
Stage names, just make sure they're cool. I think most people should have stage names, "Michael" or "James" is just dull. Just don't pick something stupid like "Razor" -_-
 16.
Originally posted by SadClown Refer above ^^^
GLAY is not pop... well... most of the time. I breathe GLAY.
 17. OMG you said the h word, I'm scarred for life ;_; ;_; ;_;
 18. You have a GLAY song lyric in your sig yet you don't mention them...
 19. Whether there is or not, I don't know why ghosts would haunt any Joe Schmoe on otakuboards.
 20. Please tell me you realize both of these girls will be only memories to you in a few years.
 21. I think it's one of X's most memorable albums.
 22.
Originally posted by DarK DeatH Also, if you want something Japanese, you could put "biettonanjin" in katakana
It would actually be "bettonamujin".
 23. I act like I'm still 10, so I'm immature.
 24. Lately "koukai" by GLAY. "Keep on, you got to keep on walking... motomeai, aishiai wooooah, ubaiai ataeau... keep on, you got to keep on walking... kotoba de wa, umaku ienai, kanashimi o michidzure ni..." Oh and "Falling Over You" by chisato. AND AND AND "sayonara bus" by yuzu which always cracks a tear.
