Originally posted by Mitch I'm not going to boggle down and be stereotypical and describe the physical traits I'd want. Those do matter, but I don't believe it is necessary to tell them.
Actually, I'm just as interested in what you find attractive physically as mentally. So please do tell.
Originally posted by Cyke Well, I disagree with him. I think the B.S. isn't when someone likes someone else's personality, but when someone likes them for their appearance. I really can't imagine having a partner based on looks. It's impossible, unless she happens to also have the things you look for in her personality.
I'm not saying you're wrong. You're just not realizing what I'm looking for, it's what Semjaza said. Maybe if you ignore the word "partner" or something. I just want to know what physical attributes you like BEST in a person, like in my example. If you prefer red hair, then say it. It doesn't mean that it's the standard for you, or that you don't date blondes or brunettes or anything, it's just that it's the color you like. And the same goes for mental traits. If you love girls that are nitpicky, then say it. It doesn't mean you're saying your "partner" has to perfectly fit the description or anything for you to consider them. If you still think I'm just full of BS or whatever, then just don't respond because I can't explain it any differently, so we'd just be getting further off topic.

I am interested in what characteristics would make up the perfect person for you. This does not mean what you look for in a person - so don't pretend you're all deep and not say physical characteristics. This is just the perfect person. If you like brown hair the best, then by golly, say it. So, try to consider many mental and physical traits that would make up the person that would be just perfect for you, or what you think would be the most perfect for you.
Originally posted by James I want a system that allows members to put titles in themselves -- but only under certain preset conditions.
What would those conditions be?
Originally posted by Charles You're still talking about sleep. We don't need to have multiple sleep threads on the main page.
I don't think this thread was specifically created with the intent of finding out my sleeping times though. The creator had a much more specific question in mind, posting my sleeping times really means nothing to him. He mentioned nothing about the times he slept in his original post. It's like taking a post about how to peel oranges the best, and then have someone come out nowhere telling them that they ate oranges last Wednesday and they tasted good.

But I mentioned that in the last sentence, about spending days on censoring. If you did indeed find some kind of custom title deal, and it had some kind of censoring method, it's not as though it knows all the "swear words". I'm almost positive you'd have to tell it what you want censored, and you can realize how impossible it'd be to put in every word and its variant (such as using symbols that look like an "s"). Unless you just planned on having it use the same censoring system that the posts here use, which is pretty easy to get around.
Originally posted by James Read my post above; this isn't a hopeless situation. Shyguy has been willing to explain his idea to me and I'm responding. I'd be happy to include custom titles on OtakuBoards, but only if it can be done in an appropriate way.
I think it is. You said it yourself, you don't want to "open any more floodgates", so there ya go. Unless you want to spend days inputting every possible bad word/some variant thereof to censor.
-
Apparently my post has been taken the wrong way. I wasn't meaning to put you in a negative light, or anything, just keep both you and Shy from spending so much time on something that simply won't change. Explain all you want, the idea isn't going to fall through.

I guess I'll just completely ignore the main focus of this topic and talk about my sleeping habits, which have basically no relevance but Charles recommended I come here. On good weeks, I can get up to 7 hours of sleep. On bad weeks when I'm all night, more around 4 1/2-5.
-
Personally I think a simple "no" would've worked better, because now you'll just write longer and longer arguments that'll end up the same way the first one did. Have you ever seen an idea brought up by any member that James has actually deemed "workable"? Neither have I.

Vocalist: RYUICHI (of LUNA SEA) - He can hit every note you can imagine, he's an amazing vocalist. So he'd fit in any style. Lead guitarist: chisato (of PENICILLIN) - Like TN said, chisato is just the best. Bass: Tetsu (of L'Arc~en~Ciel) - The best. Drums: shin'ya (of LUNA SEA) - Amazingly talented drummer, I feel like he can play to more styles than Yoshiki, even though I think Yoshiki is definitely better at certain styles.
Originally posted by Juuthena Are the girls about... 13-16 years old?
Yup. Some are even younger I believe, but I'm not much of a momusu fan.
Originally posted by Juuthena 3) Umm... I can't remember. It's a girl band with about tweleve girls. >>;; 4
morning musume?
Originally posted by jarjarblinks I wouldn't say that I'm hardcore.
Nobody would. It was sarcasm, namely because most of the bands you listed aren't even rock. But anyway, this isn't really the place to discuss Japanese music of the rock variety. You could, but Transtic Nerve and I are the only ones who'd be able to respond most likely. Unless it was about Gackt or Dir en grey or whatever because they're so appealing to Americans for some reason. And hide's birthday is December 13th, not 19th.
Originally posted by TLOL_Vash you need better censor scripts guys...I'm not gonna say how I view em in case anyone else does it but it's easy to see what's behind em
I'll give out the SUPER DEEP DARK SECRET: highlight the text. Anyway, it's not really to hide the answer, just to keep one from reading the punchline before the rest of the joke. Why don't women wear watches?
Because there's a clock on the stove.

Originally posted by Lalaith Ril Transtic hasn't posted yet....amazing! Transtic Nerve is insanely into them, well atleast he used to be, he hasn't talked about them much. I still remember the nude Gackt photos....*drools at the thought* Yeah but thanks to TN I got into Malice Mizer and Gackt....and from there I just kept getting into it, so yeah I'm into all of them!
Well TN has school and work and stuff, which are slightly more important than a message board. "all of them" is quite the hyperbole, there. AND, one does not capitalize "hide".

Looks like she's about to dump you, so dump her first.
Originally posted by jarjarblinks I was wondering if anybody here likes JRock. Gackt, Malice Mizer, Dir en Grey, L'arc~en~Ciel(LARUKU). Any seem familiar? Just wondering. None of my friends like it so I don't have anybody to talk about it.:wigout:
You're hardcore man.

Well no, 2 for $1 does not necessarily mean 1 for 50 cents. 2 for $1 is just a deal, there's no 3 for $1.50 or anything, just 2 for $1. HOWEVER, because it is an issue with stock, I wouldn't charge the man full price for one just because we're out. I'd give it to him for 50 cents and then see about getting him some kind of coupon.

Mature or not, I personally think a lot of the posts here lately have just been uninteresting.
Originally posted by Semjaza Azazel Well it was. Best Buy wants $9.99 for it now... I forgot it was Sunday and the ad changed heh. Not sure about Target, as sometimes they keep the prices the same.
Damn, that's still not too bad! I spent $40 on my last CD purchase... -_-
Originally posted by Semjaza Azazel If you have $6.99 go grab it (I think Target and Best Buy are both doing this price).
It only costs $6.99?!

The sticky in the "your picture" forum
wrist cutter replied to wrist cutter's topic in Help & Feedback
If someone posted up their entire photo album, yes, I can see where that would be a problem. But I see no harm done in posting up 2, 3, or even 4 posts in a row to get all the attachments up. What difference does it really make if there's a post in-between? The same comment could be made an hour later after all the pics have been up... I see the point with the number of attachments someone makes - I can't see use for someone putting up any more than 3 in a row. But as for your first point James, that definitely makes sense. But you know... maybe they have two pictures they'd like to put up, I can't really think up a scenario for it. Because maybe the first picture doesn't stir up any conversation, but the second one does. I don't know, it just seemed so nonsensical to me and still does. I mean, I haven't noticed anyone really abusing this - posting up like 10 pictures in one go or something. If people are responsible I don't see the need to enforce such a rule.
