It's like what Deus said--in my faith, it's not our place to say who's gonna suffer and who's not.
You seem to be interpreting that statement the wrong way then, if it's offensive to you. Because absolutely none of it was serious - it was all sarcasm. If you are really having trouble with what I said, please PM me and I'd be happy to discuss it with you. But I think you're not understanding what I was trying to get across.
 2.
Originally posted by Transtic Nerve It's all faith, no one has any proof god exists, they just believe it. I don't think anyone can say God is real, for they have no proof. They may BELIEVE in him, but they can't factually say he's real. Thats why he's a faith, not a fact.
Well that's where it gets sort of tricky. Because for many people, such as myself, God is real... HOWEVER, since there's no proof other than personal experiences, and those don't count, one cannot prove it... so it's kind of like your own reality. Like you said, that's kind of what defines faith...
 3.
Originally posted by Rain The thing I hate most about it is how a lot of people associate newbies with bad grammar/post quality.
I've never noticed/cared about the status under your icon. Hell I don't even know what mine is, nor do I particularly care. Personally, I don't associate newbies with bad grammar, I associate bad grammar with newbies. James tends to crack the whip on those who can't speak simple English (unless it's their second language or something), so that usually weeds them out before they get very far up the ranks.
 4. Hopefully there's a biggest a-hole category, I'll be able to win something that way.
 5. This is so amusing. I think an introduction area is a great idea, the numbskulls here just never seemed to have thought of it :) Heh heh. Oh, and really, do YOU have an atomic clock? I doubt it. The clocks are fine.
 6. Because I'm such a loser conformist with religious rhetoric pounded in to me with a hammer since birth, I'm Christian. Did I mention you're all going to hell? I think I'm supposed to.
 7. Latest album that I bought was UNION JAP by PENICILLIN if I remember right... the latest single was gravity by LUNA SEA. Latest tune I can't get out of my head? everlasting dream by hamasaki ayumi, even if it is just an intro track. I keep hearing it... My favorite genre of music... uh, probably pop-rock. Least favorite would be noise (which is surprisingly a genre of music now). Favorite band is L'Arc~en~Ciel, favorite singer is hide.
 8.
Originally posted by Yu Yu Hakusho! If her music is Japanese...
Since Japanese is just one big lump of genre after all. Yup, I really enjoy ayu's music and especially her new album. Been listening to her for a few years and she's been improving constantly since the first time I've heard her. Oh, and I've never been too big on Hikki. I enjoy most of her music, but not really something I go out of my way for. I can't really take her in large doses either, her voice becomes annoying. I don't think I've ever gotten through a full album of hers, heh.
 9.
Originally posted by Mako Mako became my nick after hanging around FFalpha for about 2 years. I went by "Makoblade" 'cause i thought it sounded spiffy (FF7 Freak was I) After I switched over to using Mako for everything, I get random weird jokes. ^_^ If you've seen Initial D you'd know what I was talking about.
I was hoping you named yourself after mako of deadman.
 10. Yeah, going through puberty is rough.
 11.
Originally posted by genkai though i'm seducing Kyoko too...
Get in line pal.
 12. To seduce Kyoko Fukada.
 13.
Originally posted by Anna I used to go by SuperRadSkitzo.
hontou kanaa... you were back when I was still Transtic Nerve's English impaired little sister.
Originally posted by MathGuy2 Graphing calculators do have an interesting feature that their screen and programming language make them excellent for Game-Boy-like video games.
Ah, as long as it's about games...
 14.
Originally posted by Cyko Cyko is a made up spelling for "Phsyco".
Which is actually a made up spelling for psycho.
 15.
Originally posted by MathGuy2 graphing calculator bulletin-board
You're kidding me.
 16. My name on this board is English-ification of kagerou's song "RISUTO KATTAA". I was listening to the song when I was signing up, so I figured why not.
 17.
Originally posted by James Firstly, a Moderator has some discretion. The Moderator may choose when to close/leave open a thread based on his or own judgement. Whether or not you think that is appropriate is irrelevant. I recommend reading the vB disclaimer before you register. ~_^
Um, no, because it's not like I'm in tears over this, I'm just saying you could take a look at the issue. I can't find any closed topics on the first page of the general discussion forum so it hasn't happened in awhile.
 18. I agree with all of that Sara, and I'd like to add one extra. I dislike it when a mod closes a thread because "everything has been said, no need to keep it open". Rarely do I find this a reason to close a thread... the ONLY time I can think of where this should be done is in those 'what does otaku mean?' threads, because people here can't read and just keep spreading their idiocy in those threads it seems like.. but many other times I think it's worthwhile to keep a thread open. I mean, why not? There have been threads I wanted to comment in but were closed because a mod thought "everything had been discussed". This is ridiculous... it's not like the thread needs to be closed anyway, unless it's becoming some flame/spam war.
 19. But I still fail to see where the line is here. I mean, maybe one person does something, and the other things it's overstepping their bounds... yet the first guy thinks nothing wrong has happened. Like I said, it's a very fuzzy line.
 20. I'm not a roleplayer at all, but I'm wondering just how one is supposed to dictate these things. Who's to say what's unfair and what isn't? I mean, the line is extremely fuzzy. One of the many reasons to play video games instead.
 21. An otaku is a person who is really obsessed with a hobby, example: anime. There's also another meaning but no use getting into it, as it obviously wasn't the context it was being used in.
 22. Didn't even realize they were there to "help" you... I thought they just dealed with your schedule and stuff. Hm.
 23.
Originally posted by Sara ..... Still... Go. You might learn something. ;)
Crap, you beat me by a mile on this one. I should read this stuff more often...
 24.
Originally posted by Krademon You can't be cursed by an e-mail, letter or potions.
Wow, really a breakthrough in thought there.
 25.
Originally posted by MistressRoxie Step back into reality? Would you be subtley implying that my morals are not realistic, or are you just kindly asking me to stick to the thread topic, and tell you people what my worst gift was, or perhaps both?
Mostly number 1. But don't take it the wrong way. I'm not saying your morals are "bad" or anything, merely saying, lots of people give gifts without any thought at all. There's a lot of obligation in Christmas these days (for some people). So while I'm glad you have good enough ethics to realize that it can be cruel to say a gift is bad when a person really tried, that's one thing. It's another thing when you receive a pet rock.
