This is SO wrong...(Mature people only)

Awww, how cute. -
This quote needed to be brought up again... "I do talk more intelegantly on the net." Ah, some people.. Anyway, I really hate internet slang... in my eyes, you just look idiotic while I read your posts if you do use constant abbreviations. Usually those who do produce sloppy sentences, repeat words often, and generally have low quality posts... just look stupid. I used to know some people who were very, very lazy with their typing... "was" = "wuz" and "ur" = "your" and such... but as they improved their typing it was like wow! You aren't as dumb as you came off as originally.

Yeah, conformity is everywhere... no one will ever be a complete 'non-conformist'. I have more of a problem with people who consciously go against conformity than those who consciously go along with it.
Originally posted by The Elite DBZ I can understand your viewpoint Wrist Cutter but some people actually like that kind of music. I hate Slipknot as much as some other people but it's there choice in music and it's their opinion. I listen to Blink 182, Box Car Racer and other bands that you could count as "punk", but I also listen to music such as hip hop, heavy metal and even classical. It does not mean I stroll around with a Slipknot shirt and a mask on my face, just I listen to the music.
Yeah I know, that's why I said "of course, there were those who have always been listening to it"... meaning "there are some people who actually like the music".
Originally posted by SSJGoten Shouldnt this be in the music forums?
NO SHIT! Let a mod take care of it when they see it. That's what it always seemed like to me. Punk seemed like a fad... of course, there were those who have always been listening to it, but right now I think people are just trying to be "badass". Of course this applies to not just punk, but hard rock like Slipknot and stuff like that. The thing that bugs is that with these types of music, there is like a way of life to supplement it... you have to have certain views on certain things and such in order to be a "true" fan of the the genre...

The "thing" in my banner is male, and deserves more respect than to be addressed as "thing". I'm not even going to bother responding to the rest after that.

gokents... give it up. This topic seems to be turning into looks vs. personality... which always ends with people lying their asses off so they look righteous. 99% of the guys here would be unable to say no if an attractive girl asked them out - and the other 1% is gay.
-
Yay, we're all in agreement, no more need for long useless posts.
Originally posted by Mnemolth This is your typical wrist-cutter.
Interesting way to put it... Anyway, very nice post Mnemolth, that's basically what I was saying but condensed into a smaller space. I'm sure James would agree...

OK, I see now. I fully agree to all of that.

I have no problem with pop itself... but with every other genre there's just too much crap clogging up the good stuff. And I find boybands actually to be better than they get credit for most of the time. Their music to me isn't very appealing - but their style, at times, is more traditionally pop (though they have been moving away from that lately it seems) rather than this new pop/rap/r&b/hiphop/techno mix that is so prevelant these days.
Originally posted by Sylph As for it being a stupid assumption, I strongly disagree. If you haven't figured it out yet, there are just as many ignorant people online, as there are off
It doesn't change the fact you can just assume he dislikes the banner because of the content rather than the quality in which it was made. A while back, Transtic Nerve posted a picture of Gackt and his violinist naked with each other. I know TN - he was using it as an artistic reference. But if I hadn't known him, it doesn't give me any right to automatically consider him a horny gayass or whatever. -
Originally posted by AnimeLover *bows* Thanks for the wonderful comment Wrist Cutter, glad I'm doing it again. I'm not going to let you bother me anymore...so think of me what you want.
Next time you feel like crying about your unpopularity in school, you'll have to do so with yourself. You make it that way.

the face of metal(and music in general for that matter) today
wrist cutter replied to treton_noir's topic in Noosphere
Nu-metal is one of my least favorite genres. I like some really heavy stuff, but a lot of nu-metal is just noise. Not because it's heavier, there's just less artistry and more.... anger (big surprise!). I've listened to songs by Mudvayne, Slipknot and Mushroomhead and my goodness... these bands just plain suck. I really can't imagine them making money for pitching garbage at their audience. Anyway, a lot of metal sucks in my opinion... hell a lot of music in general sucks. I'm really tired of all these angsty and angry rock bands... can't rock music be about a different emotion for a change? Or does it have to be mad at everything to be cool... I swear, anytime I turn on the radio, everything is either senseless punk, useless r&b/rap garbage, or angry and noisy rock. Sorry for getting a bit off topic, really bad and stupid genres like nu-metal can set me off. -

I still think that's a rather harsh way to look at suicidal people - but I guess this is just a difference in views. I totally agree that most suicidal people commit their act because they want attention... but just calling them "attention-getters" doesn't really seem right. It places them in a group of lots of other people who aren't suicidal at all. Anyway, yeah, suicide is selfish... but not everybody is the same. I hate to condemn people for committing suicide.... mainly because I really don't know exactly what's going through their mind. We don't always know everything that goes on with a person... so when we think we know why they killed themself, it could always be a totally different thing.

The four "your"s you used in your post, SSJgoten, should all be replaced with "you're". -

They're the robots from the show... basically, the ones on the show are made from junk, to be honest ^_^; Stuff you find at places like Goodwill and such... there's quite a process to building them and it takes lots of work (and spray paint)... but it was fun while I kept interest. Now I have an armless Crow, armless Tom, and completely unconstructed Gypsy hanging around in my room, lol.
-
They have so many! But... the movie was really hilarious if that counts... even if it was shorter than a typical episode O_o If I had to pick, I'd probably say "Pod People". I actually started constructing the robots (Tom, Crow and Gypsy) a few years back and they're currently half-completed in my room. There are quite a few sites on bot building - have you guys ever heard much of it?
