Yup, decent women don't really stand a chance. I dunno, maybe I'm just pessimistic, or maybe I'm just giving my traits to everyone else in an effort to feel like it's just normal...

OK, I lied, but please read. L'Arc~en~Ciel is my favorite band and were (currently on hiatus) very popular in Japan... and yet not here for obvious reasons. But since most of you here are "otaku" I figured you'd be a bit more open to sampling some of their music which I have provided below... Anyway... I could go on about how great, each of them individually, they are, but nobody wants to read that so I'll skip right to the point. I really want you all to listen to their music, at least try them... so below are their singles in mp3 format ready for download... they are not full quality however. This provides easy downloads for those on slower modems... but the quality is still VERY listenable. So please... try three songs... maybe even more than once... it's all I ask. Songs I have for download here - Floods of tears - Dark, gloomy song with sad overtones. nemuri ni yosete - Serene verses and more energetic choruses... pop-rock style. Blurry Eyes - Upbeat pop-rock song that is a "classic" Laruku song. and She Said - Hard to describe, but a faster song that's fun. Vivid Colors - Another pop-rock tune with sad lyrics despite a fairly happy melody... kaze ni kienaide ("True" mix) - Very upbeat, popish song with a very happy tune. flower - Absolutely beautiful, emotional song. Lies and Truth ("True" mix) - A song featuring lots of strings and an upbeat melody. the Fourth Avenue Cafe - This one is fast, fun, and uses lots of horns. Was an ending theme to "rurouni kenshin". niji (Album Version) - Dramatic rock song with good vocals by Hyde. winter fall - Smooth, fast, upbeat track with a winter feel (even though the video was shot in a desert). DIVE TO BLUE - Hugely popular pop-rock song that is very lighthearted. HONEY - Very catchy tune over dominant guitars. Prepare to have this one stuck in your head. kasou - A serious song... with a slightly dark feel. shinshoku~lose control~ - Chaotic rock song with shouting and heavy guitars. snow drop (ray mix) - Powerful vocals over smooth instruments... similar to U2, somewhat. forbidden lover - A slow but dramatic and powerful song. HEAVEN'S DRIVE - Great, upbeat chorus and more aggressive, rockish verses. Very popular track. Pieces (ark mix) - Full-out ballad with a powerful chorus, orchestra, and strong vocals. Driver's High - Serious, yet fun pop-rock song with amazing melody. My favorite song... ever. LOVE FLIES - Heavy guitars, but strong melody and still a pop-rock feel. NEO UNIVERSE - Interesting, soothing track with lots of synthesizer use, and amazing vocal performance from Hyde. finale - A dark, gloomy yet dramatic song with a prominant chorus that cannot be resisted. STAY AWAY - A different styled track... still pop-rock and upbeat, but the chorus style is different, but very good for the band. There you go... all of their singles in easy-to-download mp3 format... when, and if, you listen, don't expect what you have in mind. It seems like so many people are unaware of what pop-rock can sound like and this is it, in my opinion.. So please give them a try. I've already made a few fans out of people here, so you should give them a try too... if you want to know more, you can go to my L'Arc~en~Ciel fansite, fragment of memory. Thank you for reading :)
Originally posted by RicoTranzrig there has to be some point where you get tired of mainstream music and have to listen to something that has the quality that you enjoy.
I never mentioned anything about mainstream music. There's as much "underground" garbage as there is "mainstream" garbage as I see it - and that's a whole lot of garbage.
-
Ever since otakuboards shut down, I've been rockin' out to kagerou 24/7. Now I'm really tired because that was a really long time.
-
Don't worry if people call your music boring. The majority of people these days don't care about musicianship, they just want something they can mosh/dance/rap to. And anything that doesn't fall under those categories is 'boring'.
-
People use the term "sell out" to describe any band they don't like, it seems.
Originally posted by amiboshi since I still can't figure out how to in Photoshop without those little arrows.......^^;;;
Well, I don't know what version of Photoshop you have, so maybe just try looking for a screen or menu that changes when you click on the "line" tool. When you see a menu change, just snoop around in there until you see something that talks about "arrowheads".

And believe me, we all feel very sorry for you.

what would you change about yourself?
wrist cutter replied to amibasuki's topic in General Discussion
This isn't a contest, stop feeling so sorry for yourself. -
I regret I ever listened to "Driver's High"... and that I joined Gundam Forum.

He was stating something that he and his friends had in common. Some people are too jumpy to protect homo and bisexuals when nothing really wrong is being said.

Hmmm, I'd probably go for better looks. Or maybe a better voice... -
Hmm, I don't really have any close friends, just people I hang out with at school. In fact, I don't even know what their interests are... and they don't really know mine either.

Um, from reading the conversation, I cannot see any reason WHY you would want her to be your girlfriend. Forget about her. You always have porn. ...o Graffitti. Oh, and your friend is a dick too.
Originally posted by Sere Tuscumbia Truthfully, Sailor Moon is a low rated porn show.
I have never seen the series myself... but I am willing to go out on a limb here. I seriously doubt the series is at all pornographic.

There are no aliens, or life on other planets. I know this for fact, I am smarter than all of you.

Because they can. Anime isn't like soap, where there are many different brands that all must compete, thus causing low prices. With anime there are few companies, and thus they can charge unreasonable prices because they have few competitors.

Anime Don't you hate it when one calls an anime " weird"?
wrist cutter replied to projekt_navi's topic in Otaku Central
Well, I would think that Di Gi Charat is kinda weird. That doesn't mean it isn't good though... -
The best part of that movie is the ending theme by (you guessed it!) X. And the band X (known as X JAPAN sometimes) came way before the anime was even thought of, just to make sure you know.
-
I don't like mainstream anime because it makes me feel superior to everyone.
-
I think I'm pretty much the same when I'm alone. Being alone allows me to do certain things I would otherwise not be able to do in a crowd, but otherwise I don't really act much different. I think my online personality is what really contrasts with the one I use outside of the net.

Yeah, I had used that picture in one of my banners. Well I love the banner, the whole thing turned out great as usual. You can never go wrong with PENICILLIN. Oh, and if you're going to check out Dir en grey... listen to anything from MISSA and anything from before kisou >_<
