Who would want to copy Dave Matthews Band anyway? Bleh. But anyway, on topic, their music is pretty good, I especially liked "Friday". They need more variance in their music though... a band who plays soft music all the time = boring.
2.
Originally posted by Anna Typically kids don't really mature 'til they're about 16
You know, I would've argued about that with you before. But then I started hanging around here...
3. Frieza had the frigging coolest Japanese VA ever, and he sounded very male.
4. I turned on some X JAPAN and the posts went rather fast after that. Yeah, I didn't laugh too much at it but it was entertaining. A lot of it was, to some extent, true, too.
5.
Originally posted by Transtic Nerve Summer school, in your case, should be an example that you shouldn't slack off in normal school. if you'd do your work and get A's or B's or whatever, you wouldn't be going to school.
Preach on brotha. Listen to the reverend here. If you weren't so damned lazy in regular school you wouldn't be in this predicament. I have no sympathy for you.
6. "The Country Bears" looks like an intense intellectual thrillride to me. It's probably the best movie of the summer.
7.
Originally posted by Anna I was being rather tongue-in-cheek up there.
What does that even mean? I've never understood that saying.
8. You people are forgetting not all anime is sci-fi/fantasy or some other hard-to-make-a-movie-out-of genre. There are so many animes that are just like regular TV shows but in anime form, like Maison ikkoku and marmalade boy, or even GTO which there is a live-action show of. There are plenty of animes that could adapt into a real show easily, you're just focusing on the wrong ones.
9.
Originally posted by Juuthena LOL, but I really think japanese and korean music are pretty much the same. *shrugs* except male japanese siner's songs have a lil different twist too em....
Japanese and Korean music are not the same. Since I haven't heard any Korean music I can't say much more than that, but I can tell you that much is true. I can point out many differences in the two.
10.
Originally posted by Schratn9 Oh, i didnt know saying Hey and Sup was annoying? I better check up on my pop culture
Seeing as how that was said in sarcasm, I will inform you: saying "hey, sup?" is annoying.
11. My extent of Korean music is about three songs that BoA sings... of course, they're her Japanese songs. In other words I basically have not heard Korean music -_- I'm too lazy and busy trying to keep up with Japanese music... *can't wait for kagerou's new releases*
12.
Originally posted by DBZChikaGhan Chris because I would own Jikannohizumi.
Chris doesn't own jikannohizumi, he and I just work there. kotori is our owner/master/all-powerful goddess, heh. There aren't any guys I'd wanna be here because I don't like any of you, except for Transtic Nerve, and I'm plenty happy being straight. I wouldn't mind being one of you girls though... think of the things I could do....

Music Trivia

Wasn't it Wings? Yeah, I'm sure it was... Hmmm... OK, what feat did Hootie and the Blowfish's first album "Cracked Rear View" accomplish? Heh, can you tell I watched Behind the Music yesterday...
14. Hmm, I'm not sure. You'd have to ask someone more interested in history.
15. No - the Japanese would have continued attacking the US until America lifted the embargo and let Japan become a world power. At least that's what I think.
16.
Originally posted by James I am well aware of your stance on the issue. And hell yes, I'm incredibly stubborn on this issue -- just as I'm stubborn when I say that the sky is blue and that the Earth is round.
And see, this is why most people don't debate with you.
17. No, I did read it. Yes, they stopped when the war ended, which would have come sooner and less painfully had the Japanese interepreter known the emperor's dialect.
18. Maybe I'm misreading your question or something. Stopped what? Stopped fighting America?
19. You respond to me as though I am saying "WE ABSOLUTELY DID NOT LAND ON THE MOON." No, multiple shadows = multiple light sources is fact. You can't deny that more than one shadow means there is more than one light source, that is a fact. Did you even watch the damn show? Again, you say things as though I am putting my foot DOWN, we did NOT land on the moon. Personally, I lean towards we did land on the moon, for the reasons you suggested and the fact I don't think our government would scam us into such a thing. I'm just saying that there are things that make me a suspicious. That last, sarcastic sentence is what makes me mad. I'm not Fox Mulder - I don't even believe in aliens or most paranormal things. I don't believe the government is out to "get us" or that we are being watched or anything. I am just slightly suspicious about this one event in history, for reasons I believe to be somewhat valid. Again - if someone asked me, do you believe we landed on the moon, my response would be "Yes, though I am a bit suspicious". What you fail to realize is that you're just as stubborn as everyone else here. You can't change our minds; but nobody is able to change yours, either.
20. Yes, in fact, there was a rather large mistake on the Japanese interpreter in America. Here, I will cut andpaste something I saw somewhere else: " the translator who is responsible for the decision to commence bombing on Japan did not know the Emperor's dialect, which was Japanese, but it was about 400 years older than what the rest of Japan spoke. The translator hearing a message, which said something to the effective translation of "we will end the war" (as in surrender) took the words to mean "we will end this (violently) I don't remember the actual phrase, but it turns out the U.S. made a big mistake and Japan really was done fighting, but we, not knowing our enemies language bombed them, when in fact they were ready to surrender..."
21. As you said: any group is capable of such atrocities. And most of them did do such things. The Japanese, and what they did in China, was among some of the worst, if not the worst, stuff done in World War II. But there was plenty of other actions by numerous other countries that were just as awful and meaningless - it's not like the Japanese should be singled out and be made to apologize, while the other countries (including America), who committed horrible acts during WWII as well, just sit around and accept the apology. Have you ever been to Hiroshima? Most people there are severely or mildly deformed. Even the new generation has a slightly "off" appearance due to the radiation. The worst part is that the A-bomb was totally unnecessary... but that's another discussion. The point is, what the Japanese did was horrible, but it's not like it was the only terrible act done during the war. Americans, Germans, and British all did things just as regrettable. But now, it doesn't really matter, as most of this stuff is water under the bridge.
22. I think you mean the rape of nanjing, not nanking. Yes, I'm aware of what it is. Am I to explain?
23. 'No basis in fact' you say, James? As I recall, most all of it was based on fact (like the shadows thing posted already). You bring up good points on how it's probably just a "silly paranoia" - but there are also good points on how it could be true, and there are strong people on either side (as you have shown us). It's not really fair to call it complete idiocy. Yes, chances are good we really did land on the moon, for the reasons you said. But all the things pointed out make it seem like an impossibility - it makes sense to be open to more ideas on the topic, if you ask me. I won't say we definitely didn't land on the moon, but I also won't say otherwise. Why is it we haven't been on the moon since 1969, anyway? What with technology improving, you'd think it'd be getting easier every day.
24. Well this article is false for obvious reasons. The moon has no atmosphere, so if you were outside your space suit you would explode. There wouldn't be any skeleton left. However, the moon landing is questionable. Yes, after watching that Fox show on it, I am very suspicious that we ever landed on the moon.
25. Well, eventually you got the right idea. Don't bother with women, they're troublesome. Oh, and 000/mf/xxx.
