I didn't realize he was 93. Well, it's probably for the best. From what I hear, he was in pretty bad condition in the last few years of his life. Even though it's not surprising, I'm sure his family still grieves. I must say though, I find Reagan one of the most interesting presidents. Just the '80s in general I guess. There's something very fascinating about that time, maybe because that was when I was born. I dunno.

I watched this movie a few years ago and yeah, I cried. That was a long time ago though. I watched it again this year in psychology class, and it felt a little too cheesy. I dunno. It was kind of entertaining, as the characters (especially the guy who played the lawyer) had very distinct and interesting personalities. But it wasn't very sad this time around.

The one with African-American seems most appropriate to me. Though I guess it depends on context - is the passage highlighting the fact that the conflict was resolved, or the person who resolved it? Because skin color doesn't really matter in the former unless they plan on bringing up some sort of point on it. The only reason I chose "African-American" over "black American" is because it sounds more professional, or at least more textbook-ish.

The song that makes me cry is the little music box in this dinosaur doll I have that my dad got for me when I was born. Unfortunately the music box within is in bad shape and doesn't play very well anymore. I could probably cry to any sad song, given the correct inspiration to do so. I don't have any favorites, so to speak. Usually lyrics don't have an influence on how I perceive the song, so it's mostly in the expression of the vocals and instruments.

Yes, I think most times the "victim" is doing something that causes him/her to be picked on. By high school most people don't really care to just randomly pick on someone, it has to be someone who's going to do something stupid as a comeback. Here's a good example of what I mean. There's this kid, let's call him Dan, who's medium size. Not very big, I'll say that. He has dorky looking hair that he gels everyday for some reason. Anyway, he was walking down the hall, and some guy behind him just randomly yells, "Hey Dan, you're gay!". Boy what an insult. So anyway, Dan just flies off the handle. He turns around and goes "Just say that again!", while trying to look very intimidating. He gives the "bully" an "intense" look and just stands right in front of him, while everyone around him is walking in the hall because it's passing time and whatnot. This is what I'm talking about. I can see why people pick on him. I wouldn't myself of course, but he can't handle these situations. It's funny to see his lame reactions, because it's not like he was going to get in a fist fight. Even if he did, he's too scrawny to do anything. There you go. It's not like I think the bully is doing the right thing, but I have to admit it's pretty funny to see Dan react like this.

Bullies exist primarily in elementary school, and a bit in middle school. And usually they don't do anything severe enough to cause psychological damage. They may be bullies, but they're not even in the double digits yet. It's not like they're going to do anything other than call you names. Any "damage" they inflict at such an age will be soon forgotten. In my honest opinion, any bullying that occurs after middle school is pretty much because the person being picked on is a dork. If you're a victim of bullying, it's because you're asking for it in some way. Even if you enjoy computers (by which I mean programming/web design type stuff, not AIM), you won't become an instant bully target. It only occurs because you appear really nerdy and/or have really funny reactions to being picked on.

For your first question, I don't really think there's a song out there that's altered my life very significantly. So I'll go to your second question. I think most people listen to music that fits an image they're trying to put out. This is why popular music these days is very clear-cut between genres for the most part: people don't want to be mistaken for something else by the music they listen to. So yes, music does play a role in the way some people identify themselves. But for those who actually find meaning in music, not just a novelty like funny lyrics or raunchy music videos... well, they tend to enjoy music of a variety of styles. So it'd be hard to identify yourself with any one of them since they like different types. That's how I see it anyway.
