1. Just got it. Even the logo animation for the team that made the game is awesome. You can pick between Kids and Adults mode. I picked Adults... I thought it was pretty funny, because the little icon for it lights up like a neon sign at some strip club. I've been playing through the first area, which is more or less like in the demo... except a bit more difficult and with the opening cut scenes. The helicopter boss makes the one in the demo seem so simple in comparison heh. Awesome stuff so far. I'm also happy it runs in progressive scan.
2. As long as you guys keep yourself within the rules of the forum, I doubt you'll have any problems. You're free to decide who can't join your RPGs, mods are no exceptions heh.
3. I've posted in the RPG Forum like three times before this, so it's not totally unheard of. I just don't do this stuff... nor do I read it lol. I'm not writing this in the third person like most others seem to be. Are we required to write like that in the RPG...? I hope not. Name: Tony. Age: 2+2 is 4, 2+2 is 4, 2+2 is 4, 2+2 is 4... I'll be 23. Hometown: Chicago. Any Pets?: Surprisingly Kit will still be alive 2 years from now. Kit being my ferret. She won't be as insane by then though as age will be setting in. Don't worry, as long as I clean the cage and wash her regularly (like I do), she won't smell like anything. She's quite good with people. Attached or Single?: Single, I'd imagine. ***Roommate [To be decided after all signups are final]: I'd rather get a girl... heh Brief Life History: Born in San Diego, but lived in Chicago most of my life. After getting my Bachelors in Interactive Media, I moved on to be a major contributor to various marketing devices at Digital Kitchen, which has a branch in Chicago. They do a lot of commercials and print design for major companies. The question as to why I'd ever be in California is a strange one without a good answer... despite my originally coming from there. I dislike warm, sunny weather. I love the cold and the rain. I have very little interest in swimming, the beach or anything else involved. I dislike flip flops, which I'll probably see an abundance of. However, I've made enough money off my job that it's time for a break. I've been in school or working most of my life and I'd like to **** around one last year before I just start slowing down. Personality Traits: Generally pretty quiet unless there is something that has to be said or I'm rather comfortable. I spend a lot of my time just listening to music, although at reasonable levels... I don't want to disturb anyone. I randomly sing out song lyrics at times, but not too often. Likes: Music (most genres), cheese cake, blue Kool Aid, cartoons, web design, comics, animals, cooking, night time, cool breezes, rain, dyed hair, Tim Burton movies, Pee-wee Dislikes: extreme heat, steak, fakeness, Walter Jacobson (local Fox news reporter), watching baseball on TV, claiming to know about something you are totally unfamiliar with just to look good or save face Loathes: Tomatoes, flip flops and the sounds they make, rice in my damn Chipotle burritos (why do they do this??) Appearance: No. I'm blonde, blue eyes, 5' 10", ~160 lbs. I don't expect that to change much in the future. I'll most likely have my hair dyed... I tend to just wear jeans, Allstars and band/cartoon shirts. I guess that's enough.
4. It's not that Ryo had no emotion... it's just that he was a complete idiot. I still think he likes male sailors more than any girl in the series so far. He's had his chance with a few of them and he does nothing with it. "Did you see that black car!?" and "I need to feed that cat!" were more important. Moron.
5. I am not sure if this belongs in the PC section or in here... since it seems like more of a general conversation. I'm sure Mitch will have plenty to say heh. Luckily, I've never had to deal with it all. My parents trusted me (I'm too old for that crap now lol), but more importantly, they don't seem to think the internet is simply a barren wasteland full of smut and scary, idiotic people... which is odd, because it mostly is.
6. Well if you have to be smoking something to think yellow fatty beans is a bad phrase, then I'm glad I don't smoke anything. Yellow fatty beans for life! I actually asked Jessica's mom if I could have a yellow fatty bean. She didn't know what I was talking about, but Jessica thought it was funny (on a purely "Tony is a dork" level).
7. The answer you seek is here: http://www.takase.com/Names/JapaneseWordListW.htm Just scroll down to "wolf" lol. That site should help you out with pretty many basic words you may need to know too. In the future, search engines are your friend.
8. Well, terra managed to convince me. I'm just putting this here so you know for the time being. I'll write up the little list you want and edit it in here soon.
9. I was going to ressurrect an older thread on this, but they haven't even been posted in since July... so here's a new one. I assume most people are familiar with the game at this point. It's been getting really great reviews on average so far. It's basically an old school action beat-em-up game, with some odd twists. I've only played the demo at this point... but I've been told that the demo doesn't even put the same areas in the order the real game does. The real game is apparently much more difficult as well. I was looking forward to getting it today, but when I called Gamestop they told me it was coming in tomorrow... Oh well. I have the money at least. Anyone else picking this up?
10. The Four Swords thing is just speculation of theirs. So I wouldn't get too concerned over it.
11. http://cube.ign.com/articles/453/453356p1.html
Nintendo has recently released artwork to retailers depicting a Legend of Zelda Collector's Edition disc. The disc will feature The Legend of Zelda, Zelda II: The Adventure of Link, The Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time, The Legend of Zelda: Majora's Mask, and a demo of The Legend of Zelda: The Wind Waker. From the available artwork, it looks like this disc will be included as a pack in with new GameCubes, although we hope we'll also see it as a bonus for those who order The Legend of Zelda: Four Swords. While it most likely will be a straight port much like the Ocarina of Time disc, this is still a must have treat for all Zelda fans.
Good stuff. Obviously no LttP thanks to the GBA version. I'm sure it'll be available some other way, and if not... they'll probably be all over Gamespot for $15 a couple of weeks later, just like the OoT disc.
12. They sell Yan Yan at Filipino stores too. There's Western versions of the stuff all over the place. I get the plain kind, no seeds. I don't see any reason to care about Japanese candy more than any other place. I've never had any that was so amazing that I've had to have it. I do like that Chinese boton (or whatever the word is) candy though.
13. They have a few concept sketches of what they "guess" it will look like. That's a big difference.
14. If you already know ahead of time that it won't exceed your expectations, then why expect so much in the first place? You're setting yourself up for disappointment, in any case. I think they could do as well as could be expected now, or possibly ever could be. Unless someone is willing to make 6 hour versions of each book, you're out of luck lol.
15. The PSP doesn't use DVDs as such. It uses UMDs from Sony, which are basically a version of Mini Discs. They hold 1.8 GBs, which is about three times the size of a CD, as you said. Lately from what I've been hearing it won't really approach the level of PS2 in graphics, but it seems as though it'll be better than Dreamcast quality. It can apparently do some things PS2 can't though, which is surprising. Who knows about the price. Things from Sony have lead various reputable news sources to say that games would cost around $40 apiece or more. Who knows about system price. According to something released recently (I believe quoted from Sony itself), the expect battery life is only like 3 to 6 hours.
16. Yeah. It's unreasonably slow in here. I can't imagine people would have much to say about such old games at this point, but who knows. The shots I've seen of the Xbox game put it on the same leve as the PC one... which while not a MASSIVE improvement, still make it look quite a bit nicer. Will most likely be quite a big seller.
17. 'The VILLAGE VOICE last week declared MIRAMAX/DISNEY's KILL BILL "The Most Violent American Movie Ever Made," and the HOLLYWOOD REPORTER warned it "oozes, drips, flows, gushes, splatters... scalps, limbs and heads are freely removed from characters' bodies."' That's what I meant by violence. The trailers do not give that impression at all. I can't wait to see it heh.
18. Yeah, there's a big difference between losing profits thanks to things tied into the government and world economy and just not selling things. Nintendo's problem is the former.
19. It sounds like you guys are expecting way too much from a film that has to compress an epic novel into two hours. It was as faithful as I think can be expected, although it obviously omitted some things and moved others so they'd actually work as movies. Some things in books just cannot be translated well, and you don't exactly want to end a film with a death either. Good film writing and good novel writing are very different things, I'd say. I think they did well with what they could do. They have to somehow please fans of the books as well as the general movie going public... and that's not exactly an easy task.

Well you could start by not posting a million smilies at once. Otherwise the rankings are based simply on post counts. That doesn't mean you should post as much random crap as you can, because it'll be considered spam.
21. I think it's a pretty cool idea, honestly. I'm not familiar with this Akamatsu guy as I no longer keep up with manga... just Western comics heh. I think it does an excellent job of telling you what it is, while still remaining entertaining on some level. I think it would attract anyone interested in that sort of stuff far more than a simple text flyer with an image. The only thing that seems odd is the typeface in the bubbles. It seems too sharp or something... I also think there are some comic book fonts around the web that would be a bit more fitting.
22. As I've said before... if you remotely liked the basic concept of this, go out and read the graphic novels. They're far better than this nonsensical film.

Outcast

We already have a thread on Outkast here: http://www.otakuboards.com/showthread.php?s=&threadid=31612
24. I'd go to the doctor. You could have mono or something else for all you know heh. If you were low or whatever else, you'd feel more delerious than actually sick. My girlfriend is diabetic, and since she went to some diabetic camp as a child, so are a good deal of her friends. I see them all on a regular basis, so I'm quite used to it at this point.
