After much deliberation, I've decided that I hate everyone here equally. ...:D

Most of them are ridiculously overpriced that I never bother... especially for subscriptions. It's like you save nothing over the cover price. I bought one issues of Animerica, since I thought it was a bit less expensive... but I can't say I was really all that impressed with it.

Well, I'm sure Mitch will be in here eventually. There is a link with Wizard of Oz. I figure a bunch of potheads with a lot of time just sat there and figured it out. Basically if you start them both at specific times, the music from Dark Side of the Moon basically has a direct correlation with whatever is happening on screen. I can't remember any exact examples, but there were a lot of them. It was pretty odd. I'm sure there is tons about it somewhere online.

In an attempt to inject some life into this forum, I thought it would be fun to have a competition for this game on OB (idea inspired by Gaming-Age and Kent here lol). This means any player specific ship you've unlocked (GX or AX) as well as any ship you've managed to create. For any time you post for a track... please say what ship you have used. If it is a custom ship, please label it as such. You may list the parts if you like, but it is not necessary. All of this is easily found in Time Attack Records. Also list your max speed and best lap, although it doesn't matter what car you used to get them (the game doesn't list it anyway). It would be great if you could also post a picture of it (along with its paint job and emblems), but obviously it isn't required. If there are any questions, just ask. I figure this is pretty straight forward. For each track I'm going to list 1st, 2nd and 3rd positions. You may only have one time per track, so pick your best one. I remember everything.... Ooooo. I don't consider JOJ punk, personally. I find it odd when people mention it as such. I group them with Marilyn Manson... afterall, Manson did produce some of their early work. Anyway, if you like JOJ you will like Scarling. They basically are the second coming of JOJ, although from what I've heard they're a bit more mellow (they actually use piano for example... lol). Jessicka is the vocalist even.

I don't care for Gwar, for whatever reason. I'm sure most people only know them because of Beavis and Butthead or Jerry Springer lol. Jack Off Jill I love. I know Asphy is also a fan of theirs... and I remember TN having a positive comment about them as well. It's too bad it all had to end after Clear Hearts, Grey Flowers. They really came into their own on that CD. I don't know if you noticed, but [url]www.jackoffjill.com[/url] is [i]finally[/i] selling shirts again. No more $65 shirts off eBay and cheap ones people made with iron on transfers. As for Scarling... well my myOtaku avatar is from the cover of their vinyl. I own that, but I've yet to play it... since our record player is busted. I am looking forward to the CD version of it though, whenever they manage to get that out.

Why does the South need a flag to "represent" itself when the North doesn't have one? I feel like I'm in the 1800s... North and South lol. Think what you want about the heritage stuff. I agree with it all. I personally have no problem with the flag itself... but this is one country, we have one flag. I think stuff like this just divides it all up needlessly (and no, state and city flags are another matter entirely).

I don't know how mature I am on average, or who here would think I'm mature or immature. All I know is that I act mature when I need to or should. I think part of maturity is knowing the difference between situations where you can act immature or situations where you can act mature (whatever it is you feel fits into these categories is up to you, I guess). I find a lot of people just cannot differentiate between the two.

It does have decent enjoyable gameplay behind it. I find the problem is that people expect it to actually be a fighter. It's more of a random party battle game. It isn't meant to compete with Street Fighter and all of that. Considering your signature has an Akuma image in it, I'm going to guess you are thinking people put it in the same category. I'm sure some people do... I personally don't lol. There are different types of fighting games. They're not all Tekken/VF4/Street Fighter-esque. SSB wasn't the first party battle game like that or anything, so there are more like it. Besides there are a surprising number of moves in the game, and other little tricks that I find most people just don't know about. I'd probably agree with Super Mario Sunshine. I did manage to beat it, but after awhile it just got too repetitive. However, considering all the people who complain about it and the average reviews it got from quite a few places... I don't know how overrated it is. When I think "overrated" I think of games that everyone loves that I just couldn't stand. Stuff like Star Fox Adventures doesn't count, because I really don't know many people that liked it (I sure didn't). SSBM would though, since it is so widely liked. That's my opinion on the definition though, so it obviously doesn't mean much. Obviously, anything could really be "overrated" to someone else lol.

So of course they're not all going to just fling themselves at him right away. I have nothing to complain about though. I've never had a hard time finding a girlfriend if I actually tried to. The problem with me is that I rarely even try because most of the time I don't even want one. I currently have a girlfriend, and I'm happy... so eh.

The Gorillaz are all right. There were always some funny comments between Blur and Oasis over this, since they apparently hate eachother. I never bought their main CD, but I bought that remix CD called "Gorillaz vs the Space Monkeys" or something like that. The only real highlight of it was the remix of 19/2000, which I personally feel is better than the original. It was also nice to hear Miho Hitori of Cibo Matto sing on the track. I wish Cibo Matto would just get back together already.

N64 games are far smaller than people seem to realize. Most were like at [i]the most[/i] 64 MBs. And that's being generous. GCN discs hold like 1.5 GBs. They could fit hundreds of N64 games on one.

Personally, I don't think it's that hard to just click the names of those you want to check out and find it out for yourself lol. I have quite a few names on my list, but I'm not exactly one of those people who adds every last person's name I see. So I guess it's just not a problem for me.

I don't find that too many bands I personally like wind up changing themselves radically because of the record execs. That isn't to say it doesn't happen, but I don't think it's quite as commonplace as people want to think. However, when a band switches from a small label (where they generally have creative freedom) to a larger one... there is usually a shift in sound. It might be big, it might be small. A lot of it is a result of the band finally having access to better audio equipment... more polished sound and so on is a result obviously. There are some bands that just get changed to the point that they really are different though. I know a lot of people here don't seem to be a fan of the Ataris (although I think they do what they do rather well), but when they went to a major label, Kris Roe's voice was almost entirely changed thanks to production, among other things. Personally I think it made them lose a lot of what they had. I couldn't stand their last CD. Labels generally do get a good deal of say into what goes on the album. I mean, they are paying to publish it, so it makes sense. So you do wind up with situations where a label is like "This album doesn't have anything we feel is single material, make something that is." Sometimes you hear about that one way or the other, or you kind of just make that conclusion yourself (which obviously may or may not be right). A good example is Deadsy and their horrible single "The Key to Grammercy Park", which really sounds nothing like anything else they've done. Anyway, I like music I think is good. It could be popular or not. Obviously bands I love like Marilyn Manson, David Bowie and NIN have all had great success at one point or another.

I'm not from the South, so I wouldn't know... but not many people would have the balls to display that think here in Chicago, I can tell you that heh. I don't think anyone here thinks of anything historic or traditional up where when they see it. People here automatically think of racism and crazy southern old men who like to shoot things. I'm not saying that's right, but that's pretty much how it is.

At first, it really reminded me of Schroder. You know, that kid who played piano on the Peanuts? Of course, that was a short lived idea, since he's really not that similiar. The site has some sort of juke box styled page that lets you preview everything, and I mean everything. I was really surprised by that. Every single song was there in its entirety seemingly, although obviously not CD quality. Good Times really reflects what it is about, I think. It starts out kind of slow, but it really picks up. That's probably my favorite out of the several I played. Song of the Ocean is probably close second, followed by Cherished Moments. He seems to be good a choosing titles lol. I'd try more, but it's a bit late and I can't think straight...

It probably wouldn't look nice if the image was huge, but it works since it's rather small. The placement of the characters in the banner is nice... I'm not really feeling the grid you put over it though. It seems like you just put it there because it needed "something more", but you didn't know what it was. If you know what I mean. The text placement in the center is a bit odd too. I've never understood why people put their own name in their banners though. The MyOtaku banner is pretty cool, but the text is very, very difficult to make out... at least for me. Overall good stuff though.

I'm not going to bother posting my opinion on this yet again. I'm not one to judge someone because they drink. For those that do drink, it's all about moderation really. That's all that matters.

I used to be in the mindset that all rap was like the nonsense most people are used to. People rapping about all their women and non-existant riches... stuff like that. When you think about it though... most every genre has this sort of problem. They all of their clichés, and what we stereotypically think all music in that genre sounds like. Over the years though, I've discovered there is just far more to it than that. I used to close it all out because I couldn't stand a lot of the stuff on the radio, or those goofy music videos they have. You know, the ones where they all stand in a circle and throw signs at the camera... while the main guy raps and a bunch of girls grind themselves against him. It's not all like that. I don't know how anyone could think it all is. In the meantime, I'm going to enjoy Acrobatik (I always get the c and k confused lol), Handsome Boy Modeling School, NERD, The Roots, Floetic (thanks to Manic for that) and Cibo Matto (although I guess that one is arguable). None of these groups rap about the stuff people are complaining about in here. Most of them actually use real instruments too, in comparison to a lot ofthe annoying mix beats you hear all over the place. So really they both have something to offer. You just have to delve below the surface I guess. I probably wouldn't like rock either, if all I knew were the most popular, radio friendly groups.

Well, personally when I critique something... I try to be nice about it, while still conveying my problems with it. I don't think I've ever been right out rude about things, but I know it can seem like that if you sit and come up with ten problems. I find the best course of action in that situation is to just tell them about a few of the problems at a time. If you tell them everything that is wrong with it at once, you almost always come off condescending and just overwhelming. That's obviously not a good thing. You obviously have to keep the creator's age and past posts in mind as well. I also make sure to mention the things I [i]do like[/i] about their work. However, I'm sure you'll come across some person that is just really, really bad. Sometimes you just have to say so, I guess. Most of the time, I just don't say anything in those threads. If you can't say anything nice, don't say anything at all... like Thumper's parents say. Yet sometimes you do have people that post really bad written work, at it almost seems like they're mocking everyone in here that actually tries. Like that one someone posted about "I scream, you scream" or whatever it was.

I've finished it a few times. Obviously, I have the patience heh. That's not really a short or easy process lol. Honestly, I cannot think of a shooter that I've played in recently memory that got as old as quickly as this did. It just wasn't for me, I guess. Especially coming off of Radiant Silvergun (also from Treasure, as I'm sure you know... maybe not others lol.), which this just doesn't compare to for me. To each their own. It's an excellent review. It actually makes me want to play the game again, so it does a great job at conveying your passion for it. What is the URL for this site you work at? Personally, I don't think I'd give it higher than an 8.5 at most (I don't like number ratings though heh). I really didn't like it as much as I thought, nor as much as many other shooters out there. The main problem seems to be that the shooter genre is dying and there really isn't much to compare it to anymore. I think I'll just wait for R-Type Final, though. That should be good stuff.

It's a good game, but to me 9.2 seems incredibly high. Maybe it's because I played it originally on the Dreamcast (where it came out much earlier by comparison)... but the game just gets old incredibly fast.
