1. I've never seen this. It's interesting to me though, as I've seen it around often lately. The other day I saw it sitting on some rack at Tower Records. They also sell this massive subway poster of them there as well. It's black and white, and a very cool image. So yeah, that's my knowledge of that. I'll have to check it out heh.
2.
Originally posted by V-Ball Chick ITS A FUNNY MOVIE JOHNNY DEPP WUZ SUPER FUNNY THOE CUZ HE WUZ DRUNK MOST OF THE TIME SO FUNNY!!!O YAH I REALLY REALLY WANT TO BYE THE MOVIE ALREADY WANT TO BYE THE MOVIE & I ONLY SAW IT ONCE!!!
Man, what is with this place lately? I feel like gouging my eyes out. You can't imagine how much crap I've had to address in the last hour here. I feel like a damn nazi today, and I'm generally rather patient and lax with a lot of rules here than most. If things are getting on my nerves and I actually bother to post about it, that's saying something. Double posting isn't allowed. The remaining post is utter garbage. At the very least, you could cut it out with the caps. Just improve your post quality in general. We'll all be better off.
3. Most of my summer was spent at my grandma's due to some family problem. Exciting! No. Otherwise, I went to school. Thank god for that. I'd probably kill myself from boredom otherwise. My friends are either out of town, too far away to visit or working. Gave me something to do.
4. Come on already Cloud_Z. I PMed you telling you to read the rules, and I'm still not seeing anything to make me think you have. You've double posted in here a few times now. There's a sticky at the top of the forum saying how to make a banner. If you still are having problems, post a thread in the Suggestions forum and someone will help you.
5. A few things... Intro threads aren't allowed here any longer. There was this big debate over it. No big deal, as you wouldn't know. You can't just post random images for the sake of hosting either. I'm going to have to remove it. I also have to question why you labelled this thread as "Sticky:". It's really bizarre. You don't run the boards, nor can members just request a sticky like that. So yeah, I'm closing this I'm afraid. Enjoy your time here otherwise.
6. Oji ryu - You really need to come up with a bit more than what you posted. I mean, you must have some sort of opinions on the bands you've listed at the least. Metallica doesn't appeal to me anymore. Some of the older stuff rocks, and so do some other random recent songs... but they're not my thing. I think the other three are tripe, to be blunt. In Linkin Park's case, that's me being nice. Godsmack is the only one of the remaining three that I'd even listen to willingly.
7. Did they finally rename it Spike TV? Last I heard they still had to stick with TNN thanks to Spike Lee. I've not gotten a chance to see it. From what I understand they have the original show in reruns, and the new version with the rest of their cartoon lineup. I really don't understand why they made them homosexual though.

Mudvayne.

It's for anyone that has an opinion on it, just like anything else here.
9. Nintendo has nothing to do with Turok or that DBZ game. That's not a good comparison lol. As if PS2 and PSone don't have bad games. Nintendo apparently has plans for their own GBA successor as it is. ATI is supposedly involved. You have to remember the PSP won't even hit until sometime 2005 most likely, so they don't have much to worry about. In addition to that, this thing is just on another plane. I can't see it being something that random kids are going to buy instead of a GBA. It just sounds too expensive and like it would be aimed at Sony Clie users.
10. I've pretty much stopped watching TV outside of Simpsons, King of the Hill and Seinfeld reruns. I don't get CN upstairs. Otherwise I watch random PBS stuff. There was a really cool crocodile special on recently.
11. Actually, it's not "much". It's more like "never". :p Surprised by some of the mentions of my name in here, even in general terms. You guys do realize I have instant messenger? lol Anyway... I don't know. I'm not posting yet another list of people I think rock or whatever else. Pretty much anyone I talk to on a rather consistent basis affects me in some way, big or small. Shy, Mitch, Zidargh, Jenn, Alex, Piro, Charles, Lady M (well trying to lately, anyway), Sara, James, Ryan, Tori and so on. There are others, but I don't seem to talk to you guys as much anymore. There's a bunch of other cool people here, but I shouldn't have to mention them. They should know they kick *** already. Also... lol.
12. Yay. I'm happy you were cool about disagreeing heh. Anyway...
Except for the fact that the whole faith and family thing was poorly done and incredibly tired. My wife was taken from me. I hate god for forsaking me. That's what it amounts to. How many films must I see that deal with this same idea? Hell, quite a few even use the whole priest angle. The stuff with his brother and the kids really didn't do much for me either.
When this isn't done well, I really have to fall back on the driving force of the film... which is the aliens themselves. They may not be the true focus of what the film wants to get across, but they do propel and further the plot. Without them, none of the family's problems would even be an issue. And again, the idea of "everything happening for a reason" applies here. It's beaten into you on several occasions, and this is another example. I referred to this in the other post, although I didn't outright say it. It just didn't do anything for me. I have no real problem with others liking it. Most people don't like what I do as it is heh. I really didn't like the cinematography whatsoever. That's a personal opinion though, and I understand why some would. I'm not saying it is a bad movie, but with the hype around it... it was incredibly underwhelming and overrrated. I'd probably call it average if I had to actually rate it lol. 7/10 or some nonsense.
13. This didn't affect my thought process in any way (or how I look at the opposite sex), other than adding to confusion over how people can think simple things like this can apply to something as complex as a human being. Maybe I'm just supposed to be amused by this. Who knows.
14. This is possibly one of the stupidest things in comic history... But Clark's glasses are what keeps people from not recognizing him. He wears them and somehow it makes people see him as this small, balding nerd. No wonder Lois has no interest in him. When he takes them off, he looks like he normally would. Like Superman. The comics always show him as he normally looks, other than when they want to make a point about how no one else realizes it. As for simple masks that barely cover the face, who knows.
15. I think a lot of people here have absolutely no idea that I can even draw. Few people seem to have seen what I've done on the computer, but none of you have ever seen an actual drawing from me. Even so, I know what I'm talking about... and I hope you pay attention to this even though it's incredibly long. I know it will be a pain in the *** to read it all, but I really do think it would help. Well, a couple things I personally would do. I stress personally because this isn't something required, but I think it would help it look more professional. When you are doing stuff with markers as good as these (and in such a large variety of colors), I think it's generally a good idea to not draw lines where there will be color changes. For example, the girl's hair changes from a dark blue to a light blue, and there is a black line between them. Totally forget that black line. You'll need a color blender. They're white markers. I have no clue if you have one, as they are generally sold seperately and not packed in with the sets. Now, basically do one color then the other... and blend them into eachother. This can be extremely difficult to get used to. Prismacolors act like watercolors in this aspect, and they love to bleed together and make a mess. You also have to worry about over-soaking the paper. I suggest taking a seperate sheet of paper and doing color gradients on them. Go from one shade to another to another (light to dark of one color) and blend them together until it forms a solid line that flows. It's important to remember that it might not look great wet, but it will look much better once it dries. I should stress that you should really have marker paper. It's required for this stuff if you care about your end result. Anyway, this should teach you how to blend and how to get desired colors. If you want something darker... but don't have a marker for it, but a 10% gray over it and see if that helps. For really bright white highlights, it can depend. If you have an entire area you want white... just don't color it, obviously. If you have a small, thin highlight, then use a white colored pencil. You can draw it in, or use it to correct whatever else. It shows over the markers very well. You have to have this planned out ahead of time, though. I suggest that instead of doing super thick, dark black lines like you have now, just use light pencil marks. I think that's people's main problem with drawings. They do them too heavily. You should generally draw very lightly and then make the final lines darker. With markers, it's generally best to leave everything light and color over it. If you want to make black lines around the character as part of the design, do that last. If you don't do either of these last, you might smudge the pencil or the black marker and ruin your picture. So address those things first of all, and practice. This isn't something you can just jump into and expect good results. Your first several pieces will probably look horrible. You don't seem to have a problem actually applying... but I think it is best to remember that sometimes you don't want to get a full, dark color. Prismacolors are pressure sensitive. They send out more ink the harder you press them. This is something you have to keep in mind, and it's another thing that can be very hard to get used to. So I'll stop because I'm probably telling you way too much... but if anyone needs help with this stuff, just post in here. I can give visual examples if you need them. I'm not the authority on this stuff, but help is help heh.
16. Jeepers Creepers is awful. I saw 28 Days Later last night. I don't know how scary it is, but I really liked it. It makes excellent use of complete silence at the best times. You also have almost absolutely no idea when something is going to attack, so it works to good effect. As for Signs. God, I hated that movie with a passion. I was dragged to it against my will, although I thought it looked decent at the time. The whole idea of it was so moronic. Now people have told me "You shouldn't think so much," but I'm sorry. The advertisements, the director and nearly every critic that liked it seemed to emphasize how intelligent and original it was. It wasn't either of those things.
Firstly, the damn things aren't even scary. Throughout the whole film you mostly just hear about stuff they do. Until the ending, the only things you actually see is one walking by a group of kids and staring into a camera --- SCARY!; one running around and climbing houses -- almost wet my pants!; and one that can't even figure out how to open a door -- heart attaaaack! Give me a break. Now, obviously these things are intelligent. First of all, they are able to come all the way to Earth in the first place. Second of all, they know how to cloak their ships (the bird hitting the invisible ship was actually a cool scene). They do a few other things that obviously puts them on a level above us in pure scientific intelligence. However, they are allergic to water. Why would they ever come to a planet mostly covered in water then? A planet where it rains constantly. A planet where there is moisture in the air all around us... and lastly, why in the world would they harvest creatures that are mostly made of water? It's so damn illogical to me. People have asked me how the aliens would even know. Seriously, we know what Mars is made of. Same with Pluto, and nothing has ever even been near there. At the very least, they are logical hypotheses. Now, you're telling me that these aliens, with the knowledge of intergalactic time travel, have absolutely no clue about this? It's the equivalent of one of us going to Mars without a spacesuit and being surprised when we die. At the same time, I suppose you could say they were desperate. The movie obviously alludes to this. They are harvesting because they have worn out the natural resources of their own planet. The funny thing is that anyone I tell this to can't even come up with this answer on their own. It winds up being something I say in the end, because that's the only thing that makes the movie plausable. It's kind of sad that an "intelligent" movie doesn't even make people think. Even without all that, I just think it's a poor movie. The main problem being that it holds your hand the entire time through. I was bombarded with "everything happens for a reason" through the entire film. Every two seconds, there was water somewhere. Constant camera focuses on glasses full of water. Everything happens for a reason! More water! Reasons!! Water!! Gah. Then finally it's rather convenient that the entire house is just FULL TO THE BRIM with glasses of water. This is only one example of that, but the movie does it a lot. It constantly shows you stuff because it thinks average people cannot think of it on their own. I felt like the movie was patronizing me.
I could go on and on, but that's enough. I thought this movie sucked, plain and simple. I had to get all that out heh. I walked out of the place thinking it was halfway decent... The buzz of seeing a new movie was still on me, but it was wearing off. I didn't have time to form an opinion since I was paying attention to it. However, on the way to the car, when I actually thought about what the movie was trying to get across, I realized how damn stupid and insulting to my intelligence it was. I couldn't even stand half the cinematography either. One of the most overrated films I've ever seen in my life.
17. I can't say I hate you... but threads like this sure make you obnoxious.
18. That's what you get when you design cliché anime/manga based characters in a good portion of your games. I've never been that impressed by KH's character design honestly. I liked the Heartless, but the main characters are kind of standard. FFVII is far better in this aspect, although I'm not overly fond of some of their designs either (but that goes for anything, really -- can't be perfect). Bring back Amano! I will say right here that I am extremely excited about FFXII though, even though Amano isn't involved. I'm pretty sure that game is going to be awesome in every aspect thanks to the others in on the project. Mark my words. It will rock more than any FF so far. In any case, Riku is older than Sora... so that makes sense even if you don't take the other stuff into consideration. I can name 3,000 anime characters that have spiky hair and even more that have long hair and are dark and brooding. I'm sure Square was very aware of the similiarites between the KH characters and the FF ones, and it was likely a deciding factor in their final designs. They want people to be reminded of a game that did as well as FFVII did. Especially Sephiroth, as he is, without a doubt, their most popular character so far.
19. Um, yeah. It's already been stated like four times that it's from EGM.
20. The whole point of the series is basically how Boogiepop affects random people. From what I remember, there is no tie in between each character and very little reason to bother remembering any of them. There's no reason to get confused, because all you really have to understand is the role and existance of Boogiepop itself. I've not watched it in years though, so some of my memories might be off.

Here's my NIN desktop, thanks to Echoing the Sound.
22. No one even knows the answer the guy wants. It hasn't been that long, be patient. Plus, you're post is utterly pointless really. It doesn't help the thread in any way. On top of that, you're allowed ONE image per signature. You'll have to remove two of them.
23. I always forget about all those weapon upgrades in that game.
24. None of the games have a flamethrower... unless you mean the plasma rifle, and even then plasma isn't fire lol.. I have no idea which gun you might be referring to.
25. What exactly is the problem you're having, Kaola? I could probably be of some help.
