I'm 100% positive. I wouldn't bother saying so otherwise heh. It's still a Squaresoft game, it just wasn't an FF title in Japan when it was originally released. Like I said, it was part of the SaGa series... Romancing SaGa at the time (SaGa Frontier and Unlimited SaGa have released since then). They use a lot of people throughout many of their series at Square, just like any other company. It's not uncommon. So there's some games you don't have to bother with on your quest for Chocobos lol.
-
I can tell you without a shadow of a doubt that there aren't Chocobos in ANY of the of the FF Legend games. Hell, they're technically not FF games as it is... They're Romancing SaGa titles that were renamed for the US so they'd sell more.

I had no idea, so I popped in the Season 2 DVD. Burns's car is a 1948 Rolls Royce. What was the name of the school Moe attended for bartending?

I don't mind the comments, and some are funny... But they take so damn long to display. I sit there thinking, hurry up already everytime I see them. I don't even watch Adult Swim much... like once every couple weeks. I can't imagine how dull they'd get if I watched it on a regular basis. Off-topic, but I had a response: As for Family Guy, FOX has no intentions of handing the license over to CN whatsoever. In fact, they are wanting to go ahead with Seth McFarlane and make a movie due to the popularity of it on CN and the excellent DVD sales. Yet another potentially huge property that FOX murdered due to constant time slot changes and pre-empting.

Writing Ultimates (Pseudo-Official Comics in General Thread!)
Semjaza replied to Semjaza's topic in Creative Works
Kind of turned into an "Ultimate" in general thread, which is cool with me. Perhaps there will be more to talk about when new issues come out. I was at Borders the other day, so I sat down and read a few comics. Of course, Ultimates #10 is still sitting there, and will be for weeks... So I grabbed the latest Ultimate Spider-Man, latest Ultimate X-Men (Spider-Man on the cover) and Runaways #1-3 (which also had some comic called Sentinel in it). I'll say right here that I was never a big fan of Spider-Man. Same holds true today. The art was decent, but I really wasn't all that into it. I simply didn't like the writing though... especially when Peter is thinking to himself. There was literally pages of him just thinking about making out. I realize that they want to make him seem like a normal kid who thinks about such things, but it seems like they tried too hard. The whole issue didn't really seem to go anywhere, other than the whole Ivan story... but still, it's only one issue and I can't really judge much on it. Ultimate X-Men was decent, but the writing didn't seem as tight as it was in the issues I own. The art also seemed slightly different. I didn't check who did it, so I have no idea if it is different people or not (although I doubt it). Something about Wolverine just didn't seem the same...
especially the part where he is riddled with bullets by those people in vans. Something seemed off. I've only read the first six issues, so I don't know what's currently going on in the series to be honest heh.
The actual story was decent, but nothing special. It also brought in that whole writing style that is used in the current Spider-Man, which I simply just don't like. No one ever seemed to say anything of value, I guess. It had a nice cliffhanger ending though heh. As for Runaways... The art is different from the others I read that day, to say the least. I don't know if I like it or dislike it at this point. It's almost got a cartoony quality about it. I do like the idea of the comic though, and it seems pulled off well. I was really only turned off by some of the writing... It seemed aimed at younger audiences almost, despite the subject matter. There is one rather violent scene in the comic, but it seems mostly lighthearted otherwise. I must admit that I liked it though. Not a lot, but I'll most likely keep up on it. Sentinel was also pretty decent. It's about this outcast kid who finds a broken Sentinel (the mutant hunting robots) around his house. The art style is similiar to Runaways, but it seemed to have this manga tinge to it... The Sentinel itself seemed really out of place and cartoony heh. Again, the writing seemed geared towards younger kids, but it was well done. I liked the characters, at the least. It seems to have some potential. So there's my comic overview for the week heh. -
Originally posted by GoKents I heard that the next doa game is coming out... doa 3, and from what I hear, its gonna be pretty damn good..
DOA3 has been out since the launch of the Xbox. Team Ninja is making DOA Online though (which has DOA Saturn Version and DOA2 in it, both enhanced slightly) and DOA Chronus. No one knows what Chronus is yet... might even be Cronus, I forget heh. I've never liked DOA as it is, to be honest.

I have a feeling when it's all those views and few replies, it's the same few people checking the thread over and over. Particlularly the person who made the thread in the first place.

No... It's more of a thing than a person heh.
Originally posted by Charles But, :elbow, nudge: I notice that you didn't play along. You just mentioned "those of us who are getting into psychoanalytical discussions about who and what a crush should not consist of." :butthead:
Yes, but there was nothing psychoanalytical about anything I said in the first place... so I had no reason to post a crush, assuming I even had one. Just like with how many licks it takes to get to the center of a Tootsie Pop... the world may never know. And if you have any other responses, I will just say I'll kick your butt in pool later :D

Bart and Homer get Santa's Little Helper after his owner got rid of him after he lost another race. The episode was the first, Simpsons Roasting on an Open Fire. Homer is in line to win the Worker of the Week Award, since he's the last guy at the plant that didn't get one... But who won it instead?
-
Can't people just compromise and play along and come up with an answer? lol Instead we have to get into psychoanalytical discussions about who and what a crush should or should not consist of. GAH! ...:D

As far as I know, the only smart society is MENSA... But that's a real organization and not just something from the Simpsons. Lisa joins it, and Comic Book Guy, Profressor Frink and Principal Skinner all are in it as well. It's the episode with Steven Hawking. Assuming that's correct... Mr. Burns comes up with a phony award show to make Homer happy. What was the award Homer is given?

I am mixed on the art at this point. The cover for the disc is a painting, and if you look at it that way... it's quite good. However, it doesn't change the fact that it looks like a face blurred in Photoshop. The mOBSCENE cover is far, far better. The manual has some great pictures though. Specifically any of the photos where Manson has those huge, sharp metal teeth in his mouth. I saw a video on his site where he had those things in, and combined with his makeup, it was very effective. I also love the photo of the entire band on the back. They always take good shots together. I'd like to get that on a poster, as the one I have still has Twiggy on it... It's from Mechanical Animals. Anyway, This Is the New **** is on the Matrix Reloaded soundtrack CD. I don't remember hearing it at the movie at all, or even during the credits though. Apparently they just finished filming a video for it. I don't know if that means it's the next real single, or if they're doing it just because of the film. Rock Is Dead was in the original Matrix, and also became a single, so I don't know. I also like the title track. It seems really offputting at first, but it's quite good when you get used to it. I recently downloaded a live version of it that's awesome. All it is is Manson singing and someone playing piano along with him (I'd assume Pogo). Another thing worth mentioning is that Golden Age of Grotesque (the song itself heh) was conceived, written and recorded in a 12 hour period. I think Manson said he wanted to write a song that reflects how it feels when you're on Absinthe, which he was most likely drinking at the time. I still rarely ever listen to The Better of Two Evils, although I don't mind it as much now. My favorite song is still Ka-Boom Ka-Boom by far, but Spade is up there. I'm a diamond that is tired Of all the faces I've acquired We must secure the shadow Ere the substance fades I didn't really like Spade at first, but I think some of the verses have simply excellent lyrics, up there with Golden Age of Grotseque and Ka-Boom Ka-Boom. I always thought that was the best aspect of Marilyn Manson, although I think there are many good aspects. People argue about their musical talent, but I think what they do is solid and well layered. Then you have the whole art and show side... But no matter what, what remains is the excellent writing (with very few exceptions, The Better of Two Evils comes to mind instantly). It's like poetry and it all flows well... And it's all so metaphorical and layered, but not in a horrible overused, postmodern sense. There is always a lot of word play too, for those who want to look for it. Anyway, I recently picked up the mOBSCENE single import. The US version only has mOBSCENE and Paranoiac (a remix of Para-noir) on it. The version I got has mOBSCENE, Tainted Love (Re-Tainted... almost an acoustic remix) and a cover of mOBSCENE by Flint and Youth. I know there's another version out there with a remix by Rammstein that I'll have to hunt out. Anyway, glad someone bought it.

That's right heh. There's an episode where Hans says he's only 31 years old. I think he is aged horribly because of smoking, or so he says heh. When Marge starts her Pretzel Wagon, her friends become part of their own food franchise... What is its name?
-
There are actually only two really... the one infront of Marge has two things on it, which are a duck/swan and a flower. In front of Homer are two guys cutting a log. What does Bart name his two pet lizards? It's the episode where he mistakes the lizard's eggs for bird's eggs after killing their mother with Nelson's toy gun.

The instructor's name is Jacques. They never specify a last name. The answer to my question was 1599, as I doubt anyone will get it without cheating. Next question: What is Sideshow Bob's FULL name? It must include the middle name to count.
-
GreatDeitylink - It's nowhere near 17 heh. I'm not sure what to do since Shy pointed out that Rico's answer wasn't entirely correct... I guess we can just start with my apartment question and go from there heh... pretend like nothing went wrong.

A while back when OB was down, a lot of my options were changed. The cookies thing was one of them. So even if you know you never changed that, that's the first thing I'd check if you were having a problem. It's most likely either your OB options or your browser settings.

Apu is a graduate of Cal Tech, the Calcutta University of Technology. What is Patty and Selma's apartment number? (appears in only one episode that I know of heh)

Saying that legalizing gay marriage is the first step to anything it incredibly ignorant, I think. So because gay couples love eachother and people recognize it through marriage... suddenly legal underage love is closer to reality? Inbreeding? I've even heard people compare it to beastiality and other such things (in fact, someone in particular here, I'm sure some remember him saying this). That's like saying letting people eat meat is the first step towards legalizing cannibalism.

Stand Alone Complex is remarkably boring. I just couldn't get into it, and I'm a huge fan of the original film and manga (even though I don't like the sequel, Man Machine Interface). The series and the new manga just seem like technobable wrapped in pretty visuals. I suppose some would say that about the originals, but eh lol. All my interest in it is gone. That's my opinion anyway. I'm glad Wolf's Rain was picked up... But I'm very sad to see that, as far as I know, no one has touched Hale Nochi Guu.
Originally posted by Sere Tuscumbia Semmie: Her arm is big? Hmm, I really didn't notice that. I think you're just looking at the sleeve of the school jacket. I also screwed up on the arm, so it does look weird. ^^;; And her hand isn't rolled in any way. Her fingers may actually be that short. I think it's just that the glove makes it look weird.
Yeah, I know it's the sleeve. It just seemed odd to me, but not a big deal. I figured the fingers were folded back, mostly because otherwise they are shorter than her thumb heh.

D was far cooler than in the first and way more developed. Bloodlust trounces on the original in nearly every single way possible. The ending was perfect too. Rarely do you see anything with such a good closing anymore, let alone an anime. I'm rarely satisfied with them. In this one, you get to know what happens to pretty much everyone of importance. Anyway, I don't feel like getting into it... but it's probably my favorite anime film after Grave of the Fireflies.

I had heard about this on GAF a few days back (and your IM a couple days later heh). I think this is a great idea, mostly because all of Midway's history is from back then. Nearly anything they did that mattered was back in the arcades in the 80s and early 90s. By DVD the guy means DVD-style extras. From what I understand they plan to include stuff like interviews, images and various other things to give you more backstory on all that. Some great games on there... I just hope they emulate them well and don't sell this for more than $30. That was the price of that excellent Activision PS2 collection that came out, which I recommend to everyone. Very well done.

I believe they recently allowed civil unions of gay couples here in Chicago. Whether or not that really gives them any real rights or benefits (such as with work or whatever), I have no idea. I didn't really look into it much. For all I know, it could basically be nothing more than a piece of paper, which is too bad... but I would expect that it would give some people at least a slight peace of mind. It certainly is progress. Personally, I don't mind who does what with their lives. I don't really worry about the sanctity of marriage or what some higher being would think. If you love someone, you love someone... and there should be a way for all people to be able to show it in that aspect.
