The first time was somewhere in late 2000 (maybe 2001)... James showed me something on here, so I registered. I wound up leaving a month or so later. James convinced me to come back again. I don't really remember how or why, but I came back and have stuck around since then.

[spoiler]Yeah, happy April Fools. You fell for it. Let's all laugh at Tasis!!![/spoiler]

Jack Off Jill itself is the strange and unusual. I'm surprised anyone expected any different from a band that was pushed forward by Manson in his early days (back when they both had a similiar sound). Too bad they broke up... At least Scarling sounds to be amazing, even better than JOJ (which in all honesty is one of my favorite bands ever, and definately one of the top few mostly female groups I can think of). Anyway, none of that has anything to do with punk... so my apologies.

I think the best episode was the one where Spongebob kept ripping his pants over and over. Sailor Mouth is also good. And it is spelled SpOngebob. I wish someone would retitle this thread, it's driving me nuts lol.

The cancelation was actually really sad I thought. Like you said, they didn't know. The Weenie Tots episode wasn't supposed to be the last. I remember reading that Christina Applegate first heard from a friend who heard it on the radio. Nice way to treat what was basically their flagship show since the network's inception.

It's not bad... although all it looks like you did was apply one filter. Not that I did much more my first time with those programs lol. It's just too big to be an avatar though. It's like 200 kbs. You might want to try messing with how smooth the animation is and how many frames it takes up.

I am sticking with what I said. I'm not citing anyone here at OB, but when people mention this game in general it's simply "Miyamoto this" and "Miyamoto that." His role in these games is downplayed more than ever, yet he is getting more of the credit than he ever has. It doesn't make sense to me. In my opinion, the series has gotten far better since Aonuma got more heavily involved... However, I seem to be in the minority that thinks Majora is one of the best Zelda games ever (and it too had far more characterization than any other Zelda game before it). There are tons of people that are not given enough credit at Nintendo, but we're talking only about Zelda. Considering that Aonuma wanted the cel shading as he thought it would show emotions and such better, I'd be willing to say he was the one responsible for getting more characterization and expression into this game personally. Anyway, what I think about this game... I don't feel that LttP is that much more difficult dungeon wise. Most of the puzzles in the game consist of you hitting a switch under a pot or pulling levers. The only thing that caught me the first time through was that stupid Ice Temple. There just seems to be so many cut corners in terms of gameplay. Instead of doing a decent dungeon to some important items, you just have to make your way through a single room. The first two dungeons were so well done and simply massive, and everything since then has been a let down. They are about half the size as the first two it seems, and they reuse the same puzzle ideas several times over (I did like the puzzle in the Earth Temple though, at least it required brain power). But what is that... maybe 6 dungeons total? We're used to almost twice that. I wouldn't care if they were all as impressive as the first two... but they just aren't if you ask me. I'm under the impression that there is only one more big area (which means one more dungeon) after where I am at... which is too bad. The lack of dungeons hurt the game, but thankfully there is so much other stuff to do. On the other hand, most of it is extremely tedious... and it's made even more tedious because sailing anywhere takes forever (and the Gales doesn't help much). In the starting areas, I could leave and get some food downstairs... and when I get back, Link still isn't there. And then we get into how EASY this game is. I don't expect to be dying every 5 minutes... but seriously, has anyone died [i]at all[/i]? I've not even been close to dying yet. Enemies take at most, 1/2 a heart from you when they attack in general... and that even goes for bosses. Yet, a giant pig you can attack on Outset will take 3 hearts off in one run at you. This game is hurt from its lack of challenge I think. OoT was also easy, so was Majora (to a lesser extent)... but this is like childishly easy in that regard. At the same time it can be so frustrating... Having to go between tiny islands to do things becomes a chore, like I was saying. Getting those [spoiler] triforce charts is mostly tedium. And then when you are done doing the stupid task to get the chart, you have to go all the way to Tingle's island to get them deciphered[/spoiler]. Bleh. The game does a lot of things right though... Like I said, the first few dungeons are among the best in the series I think. The graphics are beautiful. I know I wasn't the only one amazed when you first go to the entrance of that fire dungeon. Link is more likable than ever I think, and I love all the stupid little expressions he makes. The translation is also pretty good, and a lot of characters were captured really well. It's a mixed bag, but despite all that stuff I complained about... I still think it is an excellent game and I have enjoyed it far more than OoT, which I personally think is severely overrated.

Interviews say 100 years, but according to characters in the game... It's more like hundreds. Things don't just get forgotten like that in 100 years, but I suppose the [spoiler]flood that forced everyone up to the mountain tops could really mess up people's memories and sense of reality lol[/spoiler] I'm completely stuck in the stupid Wind Temple right now, so I've been playing Skies of Arcadia :)
-
The game practically right out tells you who the sages are lol. Anyway, [spoiler] the wind guy tells you to find a guy who plays that exact instrument... That would be Mokar, who lives in Forest Haven. He's in a cave. Medli plays the harp, and she is in Dragon Roost outside on a cliff.[/spoiler]
-
I feel Miyamoto is getting way to much credit for this game. Sure, he was involved, but if you read the interviews... Most of the ideas were his own team coming up to him and asking if they could to this or that. The cel shading wasn't even his idea, and he wasn't even sure of it at first. It was Aonuma's. Aonuma also seemed to be the one who came up with the idea of Links basically being created to fight evil when it appears, which is obviously used in this game from the start. I don't think it's just some coincidence that there is better characterization in the two games Aonuma wrote for and is directing. He is the one who should be getting the credit in my opinion.

Well, in that case... Babygirl has the pictures on her own host. Meaning that they aren't being stored at OB via an attachment. She doesn't even have an attachment link in that post. However, if you host the pic at OB you can do what you're asking... Make the attachment and post. Copy the link for the attachment, and click the edit button. Then just stick that link in [img ][/img] tags (no spaces of course) somewhere in the post and save it. Hopefully, that's clear. If not I'll try explaining it better, let me know.

That's what the Pokemon House is... lol. Isn't it?
-
Thanks, next time try to mark that with spoilers though... just in case. What I was stuck in, that song wouldn't have helped anyway. There were things that the game made me do first. This isn't really a spoiler, but I'll mark it... [spoiler]Anyone that hates Tetra is in for a surprise heh.[/spoiler]

"The world was once covered in a green death vapor, and any who came touched it would die. Time passed and technology to suppress the vapor was developed in the form of crystals. All towns have the crystals, but they grow less effective over time and need to be replenished. The crystals are rejuvinated with mana water, which is all over the world, but not easy to find or get to." This is a paraphrasing someone wrote at GA based on IGN Insider's info on the game. I'm not an Insider, so I don't know exactly what else is involved... but that's the basic starting point.

This probably didn't need it's own thread, but I'll answer it. A kid kid inside the Pokemon House at Slateport has an extra, so she gives it to you.
-
Yeah, as I said... The Pixies are sometimes listed as it, but I don't feel they are either. They do have some punk aspects though. However, Jack Off Jill is [i]definately[/i] not punk. I don't know what songs you heard, but I'm a pretty big fan of theirs... I can't think of anything that even resembles punk in more than a extremely tiny aspect lol.

Regardless of whether or not it's the best Zelda, so far it has the best dungeon designs out of the series in my opinion. I love the Koroks too heh. I missed getting the Tingle Tuner, and now if I go back to the island with it... It's night, and it's impossible to get. It's driving me nuts.

[QUOTE][i]Originally posted by Dark_Apocalyps [/i] [B]'----'...the layout is prolly for that site  and it looks very nice. all goes well with eachother. im not into wwf, but it is very nice [/B][/QUOTE] Don't bypass the censors. They're there for a reason. That's actually bannable in some cases, so watch it.

I'm sure most of the larger cities in any state will be playing this movie... Here in Chicago, any theatrical release of an anime is generally played in the smaller art style theaters... the ones that tend to play odd and foreign films. It's most likely the same in most other places... Just look around in the papers for the smaller theaters. Now that it won an Oscar, I think it might get a bit wider of a release. Disney seems to want to cash in on that.

Yep, Cube is getting FF:CC exclusively (which supposedly will have a GBA version as well; at the very least it links to the GBA). Supposedly there are more GC games coming from them too, but it's all just rumors right now. The latest one being that the system is getting some sort of version of FFT and another Chocobo game. I wouldn't put any faith in that yet though. Sony put out some sort of public release saying they are upset with Square and Capcom getting so friendly with Nintendo, oh well :). I'm rather surprised by the sudden change in Yuna's... Innocence? lol I prefer CC over CT personally, but that's another matter :). More FF:CC pics. They are revamping the battle system, so the game has been delayed a bit. I believe it's coming out in June or something in Japan... Expected here before holidays. [IMG]http://www.gamesarefun.com/games/ffcrystal/b/10.jpg[/IMG] [IMG]http://www.gamesarefun.com/games/ffcrystal/b/01.jpg[/IMG] [IMG]http://www.gamesarefun.com/games/ffcrystal/b/08.jpg[/IMG] [IMG]http://www.gamesarefun.com/games/ffcrystal/b/03.jpg[/IMG] [IMG]http://www.gamesarefun.com/games/ffcrystal/b/07.jpg[/IMG] I've seen much better versions of these shots before, but I can't seem to find that site. I'll edit this with them if I find them.

If by "many" people you mean the same few of you who keep starting these threads in here. I used to be into Magic, and I know about 10 or so people here are currently into it at the least... But it's certainly not enough to justify another forum. Your own thread on the subject is not exactly getting hundreds of responses that would show demand enough for a forum. So either post in those, or find some boards with a good Magic community. There's only so much that one place can do really.

I think you might want to lighten up the center a bit more... Also, it won't get blurry if you save it as a gif. Your site isn't many colors, so it would help more than hurt. Is this a site about everything you can think of or what? lol You might want to tone that idea back a little... I've tried that a few times, and it's very hard to get going with so much on your plate. I've gone through several site designs I know people here have seen, and I'm finally concentrating on Slow Nerve Action's current design... The fact that I always had so many sections really hurt it and caused me not to know where to begin half the time.

I'm Back From Paradise (Brazil), and Back in Hell (US)...
Semjaza replied to Yu Yu Hakusho!'s topic in General Discussion
All I know about Brazil I learned from the Simpsons. Actually, probably 25% of my culture comes from that show. Oh well heh. Carnival actually sounds pretty great from what you've said and I've heard about it. -
[QUOTE][i]Originally posted by Desbreko [/i] [B][color=indigo]Yeah, go ahead and play it in your progressive scan mode, Semjaza. Live it up, while I'm using an old crappy TV that looks like it's from the 80s, has a jumpy picture, and has freaking MONO SOUND! :grumble:[/color] [/B][/QUOTE] I'd also like to add that I am enjoying my game in Dolby Pro Logic ( I should get a Dolby II reciever soon... should make it even better). Rock. The sea was pretty cool... I'm not really fond of the long trips you sometimes have to make, but it makes the world feel massive. I so far like all the little touches in this game... Like that kid with the big booger that follows you around, or the little kid thugs on Windmill Island that want you off your turf, so they circle around you. I also loved how Tetra cut off Link's sappy moment when he left the island. I love her, my friend thinks she is a ***** lol. I also liked how the game seems to poke fun at things that are mainstays in the series... Link hates his new clothes, and when he gets the shield from his grandmother he looks confused when it suddenly appears on his back. And Smokey Joe, the next island is awesome. The Rito are great and the area behind it is just amazing graphically ([spoiler] the entrance to the dungeon, where all the ash and fire is blowing around... In fact, the whole dungeon looks amazing[/spoiler]. Loving it in progressive scan... whee!

I don't mind the white... I don't find it blinding on its own, but it contrasts way to heavily with the darkness of the rest of the site. I'd tone down that black to a dark or mid-range grey... Then you can either leave that white alone, or try out a lighter shade of another color (grey would work again). Otherwise, I'd try splashing everything with colors. There's too much solid stuff on there... As long as you don't make the text white on black backgrounds, we're good. I cannot stand that, and I'm glad people are cutting back on that design idea.
