Must everyone make light of someone's death? Hell, I hated the show with a passion all my life, but show some respect.

It's no more degrading to marriage than Joe Millionaire, Bachelorettes in Alaska and all these other horrible contests where people get married because FOX wants money. People still watch that crap. I guess marriage is trivial compared to that.
Originally posted by GinnyLyn What I found most interesting about FFX (naming wise) was that I hardly noticely the lack of anyone referring to Tidus by name. It just never seemed to come up. Tidus was a fifth wheel to the party, and most of them referred to him as "Boy" or "Guardian", etc. The only time it really bothered me was when Yuna was talking to him. Then it was "you", "you", "you" all the time. Drove me nuts.
Well... If you change his name, it's no longer Tidus. If the game still spoke his name, but referred to him as say "Macaroni" in the menus and text... It'd get confusing. I think that's rather understandable heh.

Well considering Secret of Mana came out years before Chrono Trigger came out, I can hardly blame any character designs on it. The only one I feel is even simliar is the main character. I really liked the game personally. It was one of the first games to have computer controlled allies following you in that manner, and so I can't really get all annoyed by those faults. I personally didn't mind the limited item storage. I will say that I have NO idea how that will be set up in this game though, so there might not even be a reason to worry about that. I don't know that you'll have those same problems with this game though. From what I remember of the original, there never was anyone to play with other than your main character. Secret of Mana was great because if you had a multitap you could play the game with 2 other people. Maybe you'd like it more if you had someone else playing heh. And in terms of Legend of Mana, I didn't really mean it like that... Legend of Mana is basically a game made up of what is really nothing but side quests. The first three games in the series (the second one on SNES, which I think you'd like much better, never came out here) are not set up in that manner. That's what I was referring to. The game is being done by Brownie Brown, who are made up of ex-Square employees. So far they've only done Magical Vacation (which is supposedly amazing, I'm having fun with it even though I don't understand any of it), and based on that I have no worries for this game at all. Basically, think of Zelda with some RPG elements. That's really what this is.

Yes, at least rent it. At this point it has already become my favorite game on the system, surpassing the almighty Frequency (the sequel, Amplitude is disappointing me the more I hear about it). In terms of medals... I mentioned that somewhere in my giant post, so I can't expect someone to pick that out heh. I'll explain how I go about it though. Your first time though any dungeon, it's more or less impossible to get any of the medals. As you've seen, the first medal is generally "Kill all the monsters in this amount of time." Well, with your start out weapons you'll get nowhere with this. After upgrading though, you should be able to take most of the early ones out in on hit (and at this point you can get a medal). Later on there are ones like... Use only items to kill all monsters, use only Steve, only Monica's armband and so on. Once you learn to fish, you get medals by catching certain sizes as well. So hmm... I think I have 6 medals. You apparently do get something for getting many of them (just like with the scoops), so I'd assume it is worth it.

Regardless of what people think emotionally, I always thought it was the family's decision in terms of life support. The hospital shouldn't have pulled the plug until they were given the okay, especially considering it's very obvious that they were still trying to figure things out. In terms of organs... People make mistakes. You might be given the wrong food at the restaurant... However, this is so, so different. You work at a hospital, you can't afford to make idiotic mistakes like this when you are dealing with people's lives. It doesn't matter how low the success rate is with the correct organ, she wasn't even given the correct one. That's the whole problem. The hospital workers' stupidity lowered her chances at living even more, from almost to nothing to basically zero. After all that BS, how could you blame the family for wanting a second opinion? The hospital already screwed up once with her, why not again? I think it's understandable, of course they didn't even get to do that.

That's true, but generally we're talking stripping a movie down from R to PG-13 from what I've seen (Spawn is an example). Generally this is removing certain suggestive themes and stuff though... Who knows. At the time this was all happening, which was several months ago like I said, he was rather adamant about not censoring or editing the final product. They could have released it as an NR, but that would have hurt it even more than an NC-17 (I believe a lady involved was saying all this). I thought that would have meant a small theater run and a quick DVD/VHS release. I just want to know what's going on. If Rob Zombie had to compromize, what they are going to wind up rating it... And what the hell could possibly be in the movie that was this big of a deal. I saw the trailer a few months ago, and it looked like what I originally expected. A B-rated horror film, more funny and aimed at classic horror fans than disgusting (or whatever), much like his solo debut. The trailer must be nothing like the final movie if it's taking all this time to take care of this heh.

Yeah... and Legend of Mana is significantly different from the other games in the series. If you can get your hands on Secret of Mana for the SNES or Final Fantasy Adventure for the Gameboy (it is a remake of this one afterall), then you'll see what you're in store for.

I thought this might interest people here. It's changes to only the second episode, taken from Anime News Network Evangelion episode 2 -- 1: Scene of Eva Unit 01's head spraying blood cut. 2: Misato's "And don't worry, I won't be making any passes at him" cut along with Ritsuko's subsequent tirade. 3: Yebisu beer cans digitally painted blue in car. 4: Scene of Shinji confronted by a pile of crushed beer cans and a liquor bottle cut. 5: Shot of shelf covered with various bottles of liquor cut. 6: Yebisu beer cans digitally painted blue in garbage pile. Liquor bottle digitally removed as well. 7: Scene of Misato asking Shinji to put away the food across a kitchen forested with beer cans and liquor bottles cut. 8: Scene of Shinji taking inventory in Misato's refrigerator cut. 9: Beer cans and liquor bottles digitally removed from kitchen table. 10: Scene of Shinji asking about the second refrigerator while Misato changes clothes cut. 11: Scene of Misato guzzling and relishing a can of beer cut. (This is one of my favorite scenes, too.) 12: Yebisu beer cans digitally painted blue on table and in Misato's hand. 13: Shot of Shinji cowering before Misato's breasts cut. 14: Close-up of Misato's butt as she admonishes Shinji across the table cut. 15: Shot of Shinji and Misato playing Jankenpon in front of a pile of beer cans cut. 16: Shot of chore schedule cut. 17: Pile of beer cans digitally removed from kitchen table. 18: Misato's "except, of course, of me that is" cut. 19: Beer cans once again digitally removed from kitchen table. 20: Shot of Misato's drying lingerie cut. 21: Shot of nude Shinji looking at Misato's drying lingerie cut. 22: Entire scene of Shinji's encounter with Pen Pen and his conversation with Misato (complete with toothpicks) cut. (Sorry Pen Pen. You're not in the show anymore.) 23: Shot of Misato in the bath talking to Ritsuko on the phone cut. 24: Misato now wears a blue digital bikini in the bath. 25: Shot of Eva Unit 01's head spraying blood cut. 26: Misato's "My god!" and Ritsuko's "Berserker" cut. 27: Scene of Eva Unit 01 breaking the angel's arms cut. 28: Scene of Eva Unit 01 ripping open the angel's chest cut. 29: Not an edit... Cross-shaped explosions left in. This is ADV's response.
HOUSTON, February 25, 2003 - Cartoon Network is currently airing episodes from Neon Genesis Evangelion, Dai-Guard, Martian Successor Nadesico and the Harmony Gold production Robotech during the afternoon Toonami block as part of Giant Robot Week (Feb 24-28, 2003). While recognizing the value and significance of the anime titles they were granted permission to broadcast, Cartoon Network is also bound by the exigencies of daytime broadcast-including the requirement that the content they broadcast be, per FCC regulations, suitable for children. Cartoon Network's edits, which were minor, were in accordance with FCC broadcast requirements. ADV Films is very pleased that Cartoon Network requested episodes of these titles in their week-long celebration of the "giant robot" genre of anime, and we hope that their enthusiasm for the broadcast of anime will continue and grow.
Now while I cannot argue that, why even put the show on in the first place then? Seems really weird, and I wish the Anime Network that ADV is doing would come out already so we can see if they'll be editing or if it'll all be unedited. Most of what was removed was animated blood (apparently showing it on someone is fine, as long as it's not shown shooting out)... and beer.

I personally like it because it's not clear... The only thing I could do without is the "stealth" text on the right. One is fine, two seems to be too much. My opinion obviously, very nice otherwise. I like the colors mostly.
Originally posted by treton_noir look, you ignorant bastard. im not f*cking disproving anything. i just asked what the f*cking reference was. i wanted to read the passage and see how it was worded.
It's in Leveticus. A book most people would consider archaic at this point. It basically says that any man that lays down with another should be killed (I believe stoned if I remember correctly). However the book basicly also implies slavery is okay as well (as long as you don't sleep with your slaves). So we can see how useful that is . It's just picking context that fits someone's agenda really. I'm not going to get into the rest of this. I don't judge people if I can help it. If I do, it's based on their personalities and how they treat me and those I care for. I have gay friends, I don't feel I treat them any different than any of my other friends. Their sexual preference is none of my concern and I think some of the opinions in here are horribly slanted, idiotic, disciminatory and any other word you'd like to use. Of course it's your opinion, so who am I to change it? I'll just leave it at that.

There are so many fanboys online it's scary. Go somewhere like www.gamefaqs.com and check their forums. People take this stuff worse than you insulting their mother or their god lol.

I did the same thing. I never took them out because I never had time to put them in in the morning. I never got an infection, but when I finally took them out my eyes felt really gross. It took well over a week for them to feel like normal. Was a stupid thing to do... at least it was many years ago heh.

I use Liquid despite some of it's problems... The default doesn't sit well with me, and I absolutely hate Industrial (don't ask me what's "industrial" about it). I really miss the original skin for v6.

I made a club so you two don't have to bother. It will probably be the fastest growing club in OB history as I'm under the impression I'm the only one that feels this way heh. Oh well. Someone should make a GBA FFT thread!

I guess I'm just tired of what is basically the same thing over and over again. I don't get how that wins over new gamers at all. If they wanted me to stick around, they'd introduce some great new concepts other than more movies, better graphics and a slightly enchanced fighting system. The sphere grid and total obliteration of the world map were the only decent sized changes to the series in a very long time. Anyway, I don't think the last 5 or so FFs were even that good honestly. This is me though. We all know hardly anyone here agrees with my FF opinions lol :p
Originally posted by Charles Man, it feels so good to see those logos become a reality. I like them both equally. But, I'm not so sure I invented the names. I think that Semjaza might have been saying X-lax before me.
Damn right I was. As far as I know, I first came up with it... before the system was even on store shelves. Oh well. Doesn't matter. What DOES matter is this joyous occasion: Shift Banned Registered: Oct 2001 Location: I dunno... Who's asking? Posts: 1379 Oh yeah! Otherwise, the font is a bit off on the Gamecrap one. The color seems a bit different, and the size is a bit too big.

It is. And now it's my wallpaper heh. I think it looks fine as is, although personally I'd decrease the size of it by about 25%. I'm not into really big banners myself.

There isn't really any RPG I recommend for beginners. I know most people here got started on FF7, so perhaps that's best. I will say there are many you should avoid unless you know what you are getting into though. Stuff like Lunar, Persona and Dragon Quest are a bit more hardcore gameplay wise compared to the average RPG and might scare some people off. Personally, I love them.

Yes. I know heh. Now... Nintendo needs to bring over Magical Vacation and my GBA RPG experience will be complete. FFT just sweetens the deal.
Originally posted by Transtic Nerve As far as Plastic wrap Semjaza, that works just as well. Something like seran wrap, assuming it doesn't break, works as effectively as a condom. Provided you leave room for semen like a condom has... the "resivior" as they call it lol.
Hmm. Maybe if you use a rubberband to keep it secure. This would be the last resort condom I'd say heh. Not something I'd be too happy with lol. Edit - And the youngest is actually 5. She was Lina Medina from Peru. Her son died in his 40s. She's still alive. Apparently her sexual glands were basically fully developed when she was born. No one knows the father. Here's a link I found quick once I remembered that story: http://youngest_mother.tripod.com/ Has a picture. The guy is her doctor. Anyway...

Yes. It was news when I posted it like 3 months ago heh. Hopefully it will get a bit more exposure in this forum. Looks like a great action adventure game.

Why would they even ask me to do that? I've found that generally people (friends, whatever) want me to think they are something they are not. Such as girls that think they are fat when they really aren't whatsoever. They still want everyone to agree. Sure, I've acted like I liked things I really don't for my friends' sakes (if they asked, I'd tell them the truth though heh)... But I don't really recall a situation where they right out asked me to lie to them. Kind of weird I think.

Condoms break, sometimes shipments are defective. You never know what's going to happen and I'd never trust 100% in any form of birth control. Nothing in the world is 100% it seems, let alone that. I'll tell you, never even bother with a female condom. That has to be one of the most moronic contraceptives I've ever seen. I've never personally used one, but if you've seen one firsthand you'll know what I mean. You might as well just use plastic wrap. Anyway, I hope things go well and she's able to make the best choices she possibly can that will help her baby as well as herself.

You nod wisely a lot :p After all the anime I've seen, I've still not seen this series or anything based on it. I'm planning on watching the CN versions a couple times, because even if it's edited I'd imagine the general theme will be the same. I was under the impression it was just another mech anime, but Shy and so many people have told me otherwise. It sounds like something I'd love.
