Um. You did realize that there is another thread on this on this page right?

Hi. I like the way you looked at the image and explained your thoughts in a rational and convincing manner.

I found the whole thing to be rather unemotional and in the end rather uninvolving. I think her death was really played up for no good reason, as if no other important and likable character had died before her. I'm not exactly an FF7 fan though, so I doubt many will agree.

There was also a Doom on N64, but close enough :P.

I woke up today and put on my hooded sweatshirt and coat and hat and went outside... And it was really weird at first. When the hell did it get so warm out? I wound up having to wear totally different clothes. I wish the weather was always like this; 45 to 55 degrees is perfect weather in my opinion.

Yeah, that's the box... That's been the design of it for a really long time, and I think most anyone knows it here by now heh. As for people living in Europe, you won't get this for preordering. Instead, NoE will be making special 2-disc sets for a limited time that have Wind Waker and the OoT disc in them. Not so bad.

For me: FF4>>>>FF5>FFT>FF6>FF2>FF3>FFX>FF7>FF9>FF>>>>>>>>FF8 Final Fantasy 4 is the series best game, and I don't think anything since then has compared... Especially the melodramatic sap fests that were FF6 and on. I didn't bother including Mystic Quest as it's not really part of the series or FF11 and 12, as of course no one here has played them. All the Gameboy FF games aren't even from the FF series and are really SaGa and Seiken Densetsu games.

I'd take the wheel chair too. I see nothing wrong with that. I wouldn't want to be crippled, but that isn't the case with this. I'd try make some fun out of a rather crappy situation... Wheelchair races, getting to park in front of the store. Not a bad compromise. The only thing that would suck is that my legs would probably atrophy. Three years would be a really long time to deal with being in basically one spot. It also kind of depends on when the problems will set in later on in my life. If I'll be 70 when it happens, what do I care. Might as well just skip the chair.

Only thing that comes to mind is Sanzo from Gensomaden Saiyuki. I don't have a picture handy.

Who would you like to meet in real life?
Semjaza replied to Yu Yu Hakusho!'s topic in General Discussion
Jim Morrison and David Bowie, possibly the only two people I truly look up to in some fashion. Unfortunately, Morrison is dead. I have absolutely no idea what I'd say to them, as my head would probably will with so many questions at once that I'd wind up just staring. I'd also like to meet Trent and the various members of NIN as well as Marilyn Manson and its members (Pogo in particular - The guy with the mohawk type hair in my banner). -
Yeah, King Lear is Shakespeare.

It's halfway down the second page, thus it's open for discussion in a new thread. This has been said many times before. And a couple times here now :D Anyway, I'm going to delete my first post and add to it some more. This is a sad, sad world. A group with nothing to it other than sexual imagery, horrible lyrics and decent beats (which isn't exactly hard to do anymore) is getting about 32534635 times more attention than it ever deserves to. Meanwhile, great bands with actual talent fall to the wayside. No wonder the music industry is as crappy as it is now.

I've read most of his stuff. I have this really nice first edition of a book dedicated to Shakespeare (It's done by Stanford or something). It has all of his writings in it, along with tons of critiques and other information. The thing was printed in like 1933, but all the thoughts in it still stand up today. My favorite is Midsummer Night's Dream. I got to see that, Antony and Cleopatra and some other one at the Shakespeare Theater here in Chicago. Midsummer Night's Dream was the best of them as they did a lot of really cool things with the character designs.

This is a vague question... Do you mean Nintendo games in total? Games only made by Nintendo (which severely cuts down the list)? I don't even think that there is a Digimon game on a Nintendo system yet. I'm just going to put any movie based on a game that has ever appeared on a Nintendo system... Nintendo owned first: Shows - 1.) Super Mario Bros Super Show 2 1/2) I think there was a show based on Mario 3 as well, not sure. 2.) Super Mario World 3.) Legend of Zelda (shown instead of Super Mario Bros Super Show sometimes). 4.) Captain N 5.) Was simliar to Captain N, but had totally different characters. I forget the name. 6.) Donkey Kong Country 7.) Kirby: Right Back at Ya 8.) Pokemon Movies - 1.) Super Mario Bros. 2 to 5.) Various Pokemon movies And these are the ones that were games on some Nintendo system (before or after the movie) as well: Shows- 1.) Double Dragon 2.) Mega Man 3.) Sonic (syndicated cheap version) 4.) Sonic (ABC Saturday morning version) Movies - 1.) Resident Evil 2.) Mortal Kombat 3.) Mortal Kombat: Annhilation 4.) Double Dragon 5.) Tomb Raider Comics were Captain N, Legend of Zelda and Super Mario Bros (various games in the series). Nintendo Power has also done Tetris, Battletoads, Super Metroid, Star Fox, Zelda, Pokemon and Metroid Prime comics. Okay, question time - What was the name of the hero you were a successor to in Dragon Warrior on the NES?
Originally posted by Samgee Gamwise :toothy: Actualy they both forgot one thing......... The E-reader for Nintendo Gameboy Advance!!! And if you don't believe that it's its very own system you can check nintendo.com on the systems page. I don't think they'd get it wrong. (the author of this post is not remotely as nit-picky as might at first appear. Infact, he probably would not have got this right if he was in the spotlight, and only relizes such things when there is no pressure to do so. Thank you)
Do you guys know what a console is? lol E-Reader and Super Scope aren't consoles. Technically, portables and addons aren't even consoles either. I named them because I figure that's what was wanted.

Relationships are everyone for themselves when you get down to it. Really, you shouldn't be hung up on anyone if you're the one who dumped them... Of course this isn't possible, because everyone is human and we regret crap we shouldn't even think twice about. If something isn't working, you end it. Procrastination gets you in the end, especially with relationships. They are a two person thing, and if it's not working for one person, it's not working for anyone. You most likely made the right choice in the end I'd say. I've only had one relationship I've really felt bad about ending. Mostly because it probably shouldn't have ended, we just couldn't deal with a lot of things at the time. I'm over her, and I got over her specifically rather quickly... The thing that took forever to get over was the loss of all the feelings she gave me honestly. The other ones I ended because I couldn't take various things anymore. 2 of those turned out just fine, the last one turned out horribly and I basically now have someone that hates me for things that never even actually happened. Funny how people can twist anything to make themselves feel better.

I guess things like that simply bother me more.

Doesn't Sears still only pay minimum wage as well? Hardly worth it... The Sears over on Cicero here is awful, I'd never deal with the people there. I worked at Target for about three years... The place just got worse and worse customer wise after the Walmart opened across the street. Instead of getting out at 10:30 suddenly we were getting out at nearly 2 AM. I couldn't take it anymore (there was actually a lot more to it than that), so I quit. One of the best days in recent memory heh.

I had that problem back when Liquid was still being installed, but I've not had it at all since it went up for everyone else to use... Right click the X and get the image properties, then we can see what it's trying to show.

He's from Chicago. What food business did Marge get into to combat her friends' Pita selling business?

I think part of the problem is that when you look back on games they seem far better than they actually were. It's a mix of nostalgia and most likely too young to realize that a lot of the games you liked were crap (I find this happened to myself a lot heh). I love my NES, I probably have played it the most of all my consoles. I of course also love my SNES, because it had a nice assortment of games. Quite honestly, I think the PSX surpassed both of these in terms of the number of games I like and look back on... Even though there are games on the SNES and NES I think are far better than on PSX. I guess it's quality over quantity, if all that made sense. I do find the N64 disappointing at times, but it really isn't. I play it the least of all my consoles, second only to the Atari 2600. Sure, Mario 64, Harvest Moon 64, Majora's Mask, Wave Race 64 and Ogre Battle 64 and so on are great games. Of course most of the 3rd party stuff was simply crap... But the Nintendo brand games were some of the best ones they've yet to make (I honestly liked the apparently disliked by the majority Mario Kart 64 heh). When PS2 came along it was like nothing new in my mind. I was already securely tucked away in Dreamcast land enjoying all of Sega's odd games and the random amazing 3rd party game. Of course this wasn't meant to be, and I wound up having to get a PS2 anyway. To this day there aren't a ton of games on it I think are worth getting. Sometimes I think I own so many PS2 games just to justify my purchase of the system... But on the other hand, there are about 10 or so amazing games on the system (for me), with even more coming. I think Gamecube started off slow but is quickly building up steam in terms of the games coming out. I'm looking forward to F-Zero, Zelda, FF:Chronicles, Harvest Moon, Giftpia and quite a few games far far more than anything I can think of on any other system outside of Fable and Star Ocean 3. I think some of the magic of games is returning... It never died, it just kind of went down for a while heh. I find that some people simply outgrow games, and I like I said earlier, rely on nostalgia to form their opinions on new games. Sorry for rambling :D

It's far better than the original... Has everyone forgotten the near slide show that Hyrule Field was (especially with Epona)? The Water Temple suppposedly runs fine now as well, at least on the Master's Quest.
-
No one directly involved ever said they were really completely related though. I'm not arguing that they aren't very similiar, because they obviously are. The teams involved in both have denied up and down that they are of the same exact series, and like I said they are both their own little thing according to the developers. The only reason people think they are the same series is because of the people involved. It's more or less the same team of people, the same ideas, simliar names... IGN and such are the ones that jumped to the conclusion (which I did too), but according to Monolith, Namco and Square this isn't the case. Square was never even involved with Xenosaga itself, so they have no real say on what story effects what. Technically, Square owns the Xenogears name and I don't know how Monolith and Capcom would be allowed to connect them without Square's intervention of some sort.

Breath of Fire 5 is an extremely hardcore RPG compared to anything else in the series. Save points are few and far between and require a rather rare item to use (although you can thankfully suspend the game at anytime, it's not a true save). You're expected to do the same dungeon several times over in order to get to most of its sections. There are no healing spells, just healing items. You cannot even use any of your items unless you identify them in town first. Your inventory is also severely limited, as you can only hold so many things at a time (RE style). And finally the D-Counter. If you use your dragon powers too often, it will simply kill your characters. Walking around increases the D-counter about .01% every 5 seconds according to Tokyopia. Using the dragon powers increases it by 2%. You're probably thinking big deal... But if that meter reaches 100% you die and the game ends. You're given the choice to load a save, quit or start a new game with all your current stats (kind of like the New Game + in Chrono Trigger). This is a game I really think many people here will simply not like, but I know I'll love. I could be wrong, but I'd be careful of buying it. The game is still getting reviews in the high 8s though, so obviously it's not bad. As for Dark Cloud 2, it's getting really good reviews so far and apparently fixes everything wrong with the original and then some. I've never played the original, but I'm looking forward to this. There are honestly no other upcoming PS2 games that come to mind that I care to buy. Edit - I completely forgot about Disaster Report. I'm planning on getting that too :)
