Jag

I remember when it first came on TV years and years ago. I couldn't get over what a horrible name it had (JAG???). But anyway, it was taken off the air, but apparently it came back on TV again and from what I hear it is actually quite good. My uncle watches it often... I've not personally watched more than 5 minutes of it though.
2. I think there are a good deal of Christians that consider the Creation story and things like it more of just a story than something they right out believe is true. At least based on people I've met. The Old and New Testaments are seperated as it is, and it doesn't seem like most people (outside of Noah, Genesis, Exodus and maybe some other random things) know all that much about the Old one. As such, thinking certain parts of the Old Testament were written more as parables (I couldn't think of a better word.. mostly to teach the power of God, morals and fill people's need of some sort of creation story) doesn't really affect most of the teachings in the New Testament, which is where all the Jesus Christ writings are anyway. That's my thought on the reasoning behind it anyway.
3.
Originally posted by REVENGE2 Yeah, but I've got nothing better to do with my time right now.
That right there is the problem. You better find something else to do then. I don't know what happened originally, and it sounds like you were banned the first time for something that perhaps you shouldn't have been... However, first mistake would be telling everyone you used to be under a banned name. Most of the mods are going to watch you every second in that case, and I know of some that would just reban you for that alone. Second, if you want sympathy from anyone here, you aren't going about it the right way. I would have been understanding with your first couple posts, but since then you have broken countless rules (regardless of whether or not you, or anyone else, agrees with them... they still are the rules). That again, it something you'd get banned for no matter who you are. Especially since you did it knowingly. You must have like 5 accounts here now, which is probably the biggest offense. For someone that doesn't care, you sure are taking a lot of time to do this. Fine, you have nothing better to do... But these are rather long and thought out posts (plus doing all the accounts, how many email addresses do you have?), so I'd have to say you do care.
4. I haven't done my own post in god knows how long, but I figured this was worth it. I'm sure most people have at least heard of the SNES game Secret of Mana here. It was an excellent action RPG made by Square. The series is known as Seiken Densetsu in Japan, and Secret of Mana was actually the second in the series. The third game wasn't released here (but it has a fan translation), but the original was. However, it was on Gameboy and renamed Final Fantasy Adventure here (the FFLegend games were actually SaGa Frontier games). So anyway, this is a remake of the original Seiken Densetsu, aka Final Fantasy Legend. Newtechnix (found them at GA though) scanned in the shots, as usual... so here they are. These are the first decent shots of the game I've seen so far. 5.
Originally posted by Rain Whoa...does that remind anyone else of Evangelion? heh...
No, it reminds me of the Bible... Which I'd assume is the point of it heh :P.
6. I didn't mean denounce in the sense that you'd tell everyone you know about what you currently consider yourself for no reason other than to get attention. I meant it in a sense that you'd totally free yourself of it (and it's confines, if you think of it that way). If you still refer to yourself as Christian, but don't agree with any of it... then I can see where the idea of the safeguard comes into play, which was my only real point with all that. I tell people that technically I'm Catholic, because that's the religion I was born into, was baptised under, studied about, attended it's schools and was confirmed into. Whether or not I believe it or went in another direction is a different matter.
7. I think all he meant is that he was brought up into a Christian way of living (through Baptism and such), but doesn't agree with it at this point in time. I'm baptised Catholic, I'm confirmed Catholic -- Nothing can really change that until I totally pick up another faith and go through it's ceremonies to enter it. That's not something that will happen for me anytime soon as I don't have any set organization I agree with. I suppose you could denounce your faith, and that would cover it. If one hasn't done this, I could see why one would consider calling someone who still labels themselves Christian (but not practicing, agreeing or whatever else) would be thought of as a safeguard of sorts. I don't know if I'm clear on what you meant, but I don't think what he said was to be taken in that way exactly heh. I totally understand the rest of what you have said though, and I very much agree.
8. No. It's a volleyball game coupled with a dress-up simulator.
9. The latest rumors are actually saying Nintendo will be making use of piconet and Bluetooth technology... Which theoretically could connect everyone's GCs wirelessly over airwaves. I doubt it's true, but Nintendo has said it's been looking into Bluetooth in the past (2001 abouts). Anyway... Miyamoto hinted that the next AC game would be online. I really wish more companies would try adding online stuff to their games though, it would be no different than with Sony's system.
10. I'd get Mech Assault, especially if you are able to buy Live along with it. It's surprisingly fun.
11. I dislike Team Ninja greatly. I also dislike Itagaki (or whoever) who heads them up. DOAXB originally started out as a simple fan service game, where you could control the girls and look at them doing animations from various angles. It was called Project Venus at the time. I guess they wanted to add to it for some reason. Last I heard, the game was only two players as Itagaki was hoping it would encourage people to play alone (god only knows what he is thinking). This is actually something he said in an interview lol, not some weird rumor. Anyway, I have no plans to rent it. It's rather annoying that people pass over Beach Spikers as if it doesn't exist, but they want this game. It's obviously not about the volleyball to anyone who wants it.
12. The only information you need to know is that Suikoden is a great series, and this is possibly the best RPG on the system. Outside of Square games, most don't seem to try other random RPGs here heh. The Persona, Dragon Quest, Wild Arms 3 and Valkyrie Profile threads all but disappeared.
13. The simple answer is no. If you play PSX games on a PS2, when you try to save they will not recognize the PS2 card at all. Rather annoying, because otherwise I could just get rid of my PSX cards since the PS2 ones are so much bigger. You can however, copy PSX saves to a PS2 card in the browser menu. The only real use of that is for games like Suikoden III which allow you to load up old PSX saves. I've not tried it, so I don't know quite how well it works. So basically, yes you need one of each.
14. I'm sure it's possible someday... But does anyone realize how many sheep were cloned before the final one that was shown to the world was made? Quite a lot. I find it hard to believe that some doctor, who apparently has low credibility before this, would be able to do it no problem.
15. ED:
There are 88 keys in the piano in the manson, go search it.
I don't remember what that is in SFA. MP is only out in the US right now, it comes out sometime next year by you. I think February. Zelda is only out in Japan right now. The US gets it in March, so I figure you'll get it a bit later than that.
16. The bosses in LttP are incredibly easy... I'd like a dungeon filled with all of them heh. I've been playing LttP on GBA the past few days, and am at the end of the Ice Temple right now. I forgot how great the game was. Things I thought were so difficult when I was little are so simple now, and I'm able to enjoy a lot of it much more. I like some of the new additions. Like before, there are voices when Link swings his sword... they are honestly decent recordings though, and don't suffer as much as the music (which is noticabely compressed, moreso with headphones). There are a few small changes here and there as well, with a character from the Oracle games making a cameo. Controls on the GBA are easy to get used to as well. Totally worth my money. Made a 4 hour plane ride seem 20 minutes long :).
17. If Dragon Quest ever is touched by anything FF, I will kill someone.
18. I'm Catholic, and I've gone to mostly Catholic schools. Strange thing is that they are what pushed me away from religion in the first place. I'm not really big on organized religions anymore. It mostly came down to the fact that I wasn't happy with what I was getting from my religion. All the worst people I knew acted as if they were incredibly religious, but were horrible outside of any religious gathering. Simple stuff like that just started adding up, and other things as well... I just started questioning why I was doing what I was in the first place. Afterall, I was stuck into most of this, I had never really chosen it. So I spent a lot of time looking through various religions and philosophies. For a while I just was stuck between atheism and agnosticism, but neither really fit what I thought. I looked into other forms of Christianity, but that didn't work either. I knew various people, and I wound up looking into Muslim and Buddhism (possibly the closest to what I think as it is), but I never got that far. I also checked out LaVey's Satanism (not actual devil worship mind you, you'd have to know the difference between the two to understand), but it was too moronic and callous for me. I checked out various related sects and such, and while they were interesting, there was really no reason to waste my time on them. So basically, I've taken different things and ideas and placed them together into something that makes sense to me. I believe in a god, but not in the traditional sense. A lot of my other beliefs are somewhat random. So given all this, I respect any religion (unless there is some horrible extremity involved), even if I don't care for it. I tend to know a decent amount about the main ones (Old Testament stuff interests me a lot), and it makes stereotypical comments people make about religions without personal knowledge very aggrivating. Take what you get though.
19. Mostly to stop procrastinating so much. That would fix nearly any other problem I have right now heh.

Hmm

Lulu's overdrive is called Fury, and all you have to do is rotate the right analog stick over and over. Each revolution makes her cast a spell, and they get harder to do after the fouth or fifth one. The main benefit of it is that it doesn't cost MP to use. The main downside is that the spells are nowhere as strong as normal. If that isn't it... Well then I don't know haha. As far as I know, Lulu only has one overdrive, although she can use different spells with it.
21. Advance Wars is an amazing strategy game, and one would have to play it for quite a while to realize how great it is. It's still the only portable game that I got so into that I missed my train stop. Otherwise... I don't know why Metroid Prime isn't on here at all. Unreal Tournament 2003 is nothing special, and shouldn't be that high. Luigi's Mansion is way too high, and Blinx shouldn't be on the chart whatsoever. Personally, I'd take of KH as well. Is this a UK list or what? Some of the games aren't even this year... So I'd have to assume so heh. That would explain some of the games that are missing.
22. Out of these I'd agree with Silent Hill, VF4 and CvS2... The rest did little for me, and I'm not really into flight games. For me, the best game on PS2 is still Frequency. I've not had as much fun with any game on the system, or any other current generation system either. It seems so simple, and there is somewhat of a learning curve... but the game is very original and once you get good at it, it's a great single and multiplayer experience. The harder levels especially.
23. Hmm... I mostly got stuff I bought myself and gave to my mom. She paid me back for them. So I knew most of my presents, most of which were things I did not want. My CD club sent me a bunch of stuff like Rob Zombie and Ozzfest that I'd never listen to... But I bought them to get out of the agreement and gave those to my mom heh. Stuff like that. Same with Dracula X on Saturn. Things I wanted (or didn't know about): - Apocalypse Hoboken DIY 2002 4-CD Box Set - Apocalypse Hoboken Daterape Nation Vinyl - Apocalypse Hoboken Jerk Lessons Vinyl - Apocalypse Hoboken Jerk Lessons/Daterape Nation CD - Two shirts from my grandma, kinda eh... but nice - a black belt with skulls printed on it... it's made of some weird vegan style material - a fitted Bears hat (had no idea about that heh) - A bunch of Famicom Disk System games: Zelda, Zelda 2, US Golf, Super Mario Bros and Lost Levels. - a huge Tigger stuffed animal my mom got for free at Toys R Us - My mom paid off my $200 bill on my Target card - And finally $150 from my grandma and about $50 from other people Good Christmas, although I suppose it's always better when you don't know what you're getting.
24. Long story ahead----- I grew up on rock my parents listened to... The Doors, Police, Zepplin, Rush, Beatles, Pink Floyd, whatever. I like all of those to an extent still, but I absolutely love The Doors. I didn't really care about finding other music until like 8th grade, when our local station 103.5 changed ownership and started playing a mix of new and old rock. We also got an alternative station, Q101, somewhere around this time. I liked all this stuff, but I found myself being drawn into heavier and heavier stuff. So the next few years I mostly listened to stuff like Korn, Rammstein, Pantera, Down and other random metal stuff (mostly more mainstream), plus NIN's TDS. I remember buying Manson's Antichrist Superstar around this time, and I hated it. I thought it was disgusting and I gave it away. I wound up buying it again though, and I slowly got into it one song at a time. I eventually bought his other two main CDs (Portrait and SLS), and slowly got into those as well. A while after this Napster got big and I downloaded a lot of random crap... A LOT of old Manson and Spooky Kids stuff, which finally sealed Manson into my number one band spot. After this I finally bought Nine Inch Nails' The Fragile, which lead me into buying every halo and random import of theirs I could find. They became my other favorite band next to Manson. I was in college at that point, and I met this girl named Angie who I somehow became friends with. She was all punk and I was all metal, and really it's some sort of rule that we're supposed to hate eachother. We became really close though, and wound up going out for a few months, which was nearly impossible considering I was in southern IL and she was in Chicago (and sometimes Michigan). Anyway, she got me into punk, something I didn't know existed outside of bands I hated such as Blink 182 and ones I tolerated like Greenday and Offspring. Of course, she never liked anything I showed her except Incubus (they had put out Make Yourself around that time). I mostly stuck with the Ataris at first, but wound up liking everything that was on Kung Fu records at the time... Assorted Jellybeans, Useless I.D.... and especially Apocalypse Hoboken. I tried to get more stuff from them, but it proved nearly impossible. I found out around this time that they were actually a local Chicago punk band, but I never got to see any shows thanks to my college being where it was. They became my favorite punk band, but recently broke up... Led to me buying more of their stuff on eBay heh. So punk lead into other random things... I got even more into NIN and grew out of metal. I was tired of it, and other than a few bands (Manson and Jack Off Jill mostly) I ditched it completely. I wound up getting into stuff that was simliar to NIN in a sense that it had a industrial style sound to it with good vocals. Curve, 12 Rounds, godhead and Deadsy come to mind. I also got into Cibo Matto and G-Love and Special Sauce when I was looking for simliar things. Around this time I found The Pixies, who I had heard of, but never really listened to. The more I played, the more I loved them... I bought all the CDs, but they broke up so long ago. There won't be any new shows lol. I got into a Bowie kick too. I always liked him, but now I'm like in love with anything he put out. I'm on my way to buying all of his stuff as well (CDs and DVDs). Ziggy Stardust comes out on DVD soon :D. So anyway, lots of different stuff... Most not even mentioned. I tend to stick with punk, basic rock and industrial (or whatever you want to call it, as long as there is singing --- screaming like Ministry drives me nuts). A lot of stuff I liked long ago it laughable to me now. Last CD I bought was Bowie's Greatest Hits and some Apocalypse Hoboken vinyls.
25. I thought more would be going on here since I've been gone for a week, but I guess not heh. I missed my computer and my fish died... That's about all that happened. Anyway... Johnny Depp is hands down my favorite actor. I think I've said it before here, but he is capable of many very diverse roles and personalities... I also think he has saved quite a few crappy to average movies based on his acting alone. I think what seals it though would be Edward Scissorhands. Depp shows more emotion and personality with simple facial expressions and body language than many actors show in several movies (perhaps even their careers if they are that bad). Other than that... I like Brad Pitt and Keven Spacey.
