I hate Pitfall. It was weeks until I found my first one, and then after that it seemed every animal was giving me one. Anyway, dig a hole and bury the pitfall. Make sure it's near an animal (one you don't like preferablly) and let them step on it. You'll see what happens haha. And no offense taken Metalaco. No one has to like everything... Some people here bother me about that as it is :P.

I'd really hope that more people here have heard of and seen this anime... It's not seeming likely though.

First of all I'm not really a fan of ICP. Some of the songs are entertaining because they are funny... But the band has always struck me as... well, white trashy. It seems that's the look they are trying to go for sometimes though, so who knows. MSI is not anything like ICP in my opinion. Lyrically, to an extent... But musically, the only thing that I think relates between the two are the singing/rapping style they use. MSI has always reminded me of Thrill Kill Kult musically though, as they both use dancable industrial style beats. Anyway, ICP has been around YEARS before MSI even put out their first CD (which goes for like $300 since it's out of print, hold on to it if you have it heh), so I don't think ICP is trying to be like them whatsoever. ICP is still way more popular than MSI is either way. MSI was on tour with Dog Fasion Disco and Deadsy last I saw... Those are two bands I recommend as well. Deadsy is probably one of my top 10 bands.

I figured the glowing eyes were just there in FF1 so you could see they actually somewhat had a face, rather than just some black area... Of course, FF9 turned them into something else entirely, so who knows anymore.

I thought F-Zero X was excellent... I'm honestly not a fan of the SNES F-Zero games, and I barely played the GBA one, so F-Zero X is basically where my time spent with the series is. I cannot wait to play the game, especially at the arcades... Word is that the arcade will be a fully enclosed cabinet built to look like a ship from the game. Supposed to have network capabilties and all that as well. Videos of it look damn good already, and they still have time to work on it :).

I almost bought it several times in the past... But never did. I saw it at Best Buy the other day, and grabbed it. Apparently they reissued the DVD recently, because the casing is totally different now and it comes with an interview DVD. Anyway, I thought it was great. In short, it's basically about the lives of a boy and his little sister during the last phases of World War II. Most of the time is spent showing their relationship, which is one of the reasons I liked it so much. They seemed like real brother and sister that truly did care for eachother, rather than predicatable anime/cartoon characters. It was strange mostly because they seemed more lifelike than some live action movies of this kind lol. I actually felt for the characters, especially near the end. It was definately a nice change of pace from most other anime, especially the types talked about on these boards. I can't think of many anime I've seen that didn't have some fantasy aspect to it. This seems to be one of the few.

I don't have a lot of cash this Christmas, and I spent the little I had on stuff for my immediate family... I've been drawing pictures of animals with ink pens based on photos I've found. Basically just whatever the particular person's favorite animal might be. I've only finished some kittens (yay) and a panda so far. Right now, for Christmas all I want are two things... A degausser coil so I can fix my stupid Wega and a David Bowie Heathen shirt.

Yeah, you'd definately jump to the top of their charts. I dunno if they have an Inuyasha section yet, so Adam might not post it (I rarely go there, I don't really like the idea of the scoring system)... He still has yet to put up a Ranma 1/2 thing I did because of that. Here's hoping though. Anyway, those are excellent... I can't pick out anything I feel is wrong with them. I'm pretty much envious of anyone good with traditional tools, as I don't feel I'm that great with them. I have to rely on Illustrator and my mouse haha. Hope to see more.

I should be in classes right now... But thanks to some complications on the school's part as well as family problems, I was allowed to drop all my classes and retake them next quarter. Thankfully I don't have to pay extra for this quarter... Would be $4,000 that I can't spare right now heh. So the good news is, no finals ^^... Bad news is that I get my associates next quarter instead of this one. Oh well.

IT's not out yet. It was supposed to be out a LONG time ago heh. Datel kept saying they needed more time to get it perfectly working... Then no one heard anything for a while, and kind of just assumed it was vaporware. Then Datel announced they were no longer going to be working with Interact on Gameshark stuff, and that Freeloader was still coming. This was a couple weeks ago, maybe less. So yeah, it is coming. I'm not sure of when though heh.

Well I'd have to assume they'd create a realistic model of Link for SC2. Something like the old Spaceworld video of Link and Ganondorf fighting. A few tweaks and the Link model would fit into SC's style perfectly. Fox isn't really possible given the style. Spawn is, only because of characters like Inferno. Would be interesting to see. Wonder if they'd keep his cape...

The GC is very simple to mod, and places will add a switch on the console to play between US and Japanese games. Howver, this won't fix the PAL problem. I've read most PAL TVs in Europe have an NSTC option(NTSC? I get it mixed up) lately, and if yours does you're okay. However, Freeloader supposedly will bypass all that PAL stuff completely, so you'll want to watch out for it. As for the Zelda OoT disc,-if you preorder at EB now (online anyway), they will do one of two things. They will send it to you with Wind Waker when it comes out for no extra charge; or they will mail it to you around February 16th for an extra S&H fee. Not bad.

Gaming I think that Retro Studios is the best company that GC ever worked with
Semjaza replied to SS5 Gogeta's topic in Noosphere
You are very mistaken. As I said before, and I think others have. They have never completed ANY game outside of Metroid Prime. There were other games in development that were dropped, but that happened with every company. Anyone that claims to own another Retro Studios game is lying or mistaken. -

You're comparing Eidos to Nintendo. Stop and think about that for a second lol. Mario is Missing was also made by another company outside of Nintendo, mostly to help sell edutainment titles to Mario fans. No one should count that as a Nintendo made game. The CD-i stuff was because of broken contracts, and there wasn't much stopping those. No one really counts those as Mario or Zelda games either, for good reason. -
Other than EB and Gamespot and all those; plus any random online game sellers like Smoky Joe mentioned... Normal department stores like Target or Best Buy or whatever else are supposed to start taking reserves in February. I have no idea what European countries will be getting the game, but probably not for a while after. Datel is supposedly in the absolute final testing stages of the Freeloader now (it kind of sounds like problems with Interact might have been tying it up), so maybe all the European people can import the US version and not suffer so much longer heh.

I was born in San Diego. CA... My dad was in the navy, but we wound up moving to Chicago when I was a baby. My mom tells me they just didn't like the people around here. My family is originally from Chicago, and I'm the only one in it that wasn't born here.

FF3 of my few cherished SNES carts. ROMs don't do SNES games justice in my opinion, as they never seem to run at 100% and the higher resolution makes them look funny... There's always the PSX ports, but I can't deal with the loading. Anyway, I have some new FF:CC pics. I'll try to put them in this post later tonight. It appears to be an action RPG though, somewhere along the lines of Secret of Mana. Apparently you can start the game off with different characters and the choice affect the story greatly...

What's the worst gift you have ever received?
Semjaza replied to Sephiroth's topic in General Discussion
I got underwear and socks one year, but I didn't mind as it was just like 1/10 of the presents I got from that person. My mom had bought me a biker jacket a few years ago, and I planned on getting this one painting airbrushed on the back. A friend of ours does that sort of thing, so i had him do it... I got it back on Christmas and it was done horribly. I'm still upset about that. I found a way better guy that does stuff almost photorealisticx, but what I want will cost me about $400 total. Not happening anytime soon lol. -
FOX gets decent shows, puts them in horrible time slots and lets them die a horrible death until they are eventually cancelled... Yet they stick crap like this on during primetime.
-
That's awful. Anyway, as it stands SC is still the only 3D fighter I've ever truly liked. As long as the sequel is anything like it, I don't care. I'll be happy. It's been long enough of a wait.

Great, thanks for the links and info :). I'll try and check out all I can before I leave for the weekend. Where is everybody else? Surely I'm not the only one interested...

Sliders was good, I still don't know why Fox dropped it. I'm going to go with Stargate SG-1 though. That's just a really good overall show, and one of the few hour long shows I can actually sit around and watch.

Is there a reason why the titles are randomly all lower or all upper case? heh The first song was not what I expected, because likey you said, hide's voice was rather nasal and I didn't feel it meshed with the tone of the song. The last few are far better in my mind... I like this "rock" voice a lot more. I was hoping there would be translations somewhere, because I'd like to at least know what the songs are about. I listen to few other foreign language bands, but Rammstein is the main one... And although I do not understand most of the songs, I know the general idea. It helps I think. What exactly happened to hide...?

My general assumption with most jrock is that it will sound somewhat like stuff bands from the US played several years ago. I know this isn't true for all of the music (probably not even most), but I can't really help it at this point. I have grown to like The Pillows a lot, and this reminds me of them to a small extent. I honestly like all of these songs... Strangely, I like Pink Spider the least heh. It seems like his voice is slightly different in the first few songs you listed than it is in the others... Higher pitched almost. Not that that's bad, but it's not what I expected. In terms of the music and writing, how much is hide responsible for? Does he write the lyrics and music for example, or does it go farther than that? Out of all these, genkai haretsu is my favorite. I'll be trying to get some of these in mp3s later tonight. And trust me, I understand your frustration with people and music in that sense.
