Neutral corner is unfortunately the only other piece from the set I have (I have the fence or whatever it is too). Thanks anyway :) http://www.dallasmac.com/acc/index.php?vo=6 This is really worth checking out, it lets you catalog your items in AC. Once they are added, they are put into sections and have their prices added. Very useful when trading people.

Well I was more or less referring to CN's not wanting any new episodes of Cow and Chicken. No one I know liked that show, but I would still watch it all I could. The only other thing on now that compares is Ed, Edd and Eddy (and maybe Robot Jones). That's my opinion of course haha.

There is zero reason for a test thread. Anytime you update your sig or avatar it affects all your posts. It's very existance would be pointless for that reason alone.

So yeah, a pinkish color. I really dislike this show, maybe someone can explain why it's so popular. I miss Cow and Chicken :(.

I was honestly surprised that the Action Channel even shows some subbed anime.... But you're most likely right. They still want this to appeal to the average guy on the street heh.

There are all sorts of craft books at stores... My grandma uses them all the time. I've never seen any books or guides that would ever show someone step by step to make something as obsure as Harlequin and Stiltzskin the Mog. Either way, I can't imagine the amount of work involved. I really like the Harlequin one.

No matter how amazing a person was inside, I can't say I'd be that interested if they repulsed me physically. The same with a great looking person who was just horrible mentally or emotionally. I'd perfer a nice balance if I could find it. I tend to be more interested in people that have great personalities and are genuine about things than I am someone who looks hot lol. But that's something you won't know until you get to know the person.

If anyone, I'd think ADV knows that not only kids watch anime. Just based on some of the more weird stuff they localize alone... There is a lot of adult stuff mixed in there. I bet they'll probably section it off like CN does though... (with Adult Swim and all that).

They are only this expensive because they are one of a kind and completely custom ordered. The materials are even really high quality. Considering that, I don't think the prices are that bad. Some of these are actually pretty cool, I'd like to see the Mega Man Zero one when it's done. I thought you were just talking about stuffed animals and stuff heh.

Gaming Can Kingdom Hearts be classified as a Final Fantasy game?
Semjaza replied to Zanarkand Abes's topic in Noosphere
The only thing is has in common with FF games are some cameo appearance by past FF characters. Everything else about it is completely different, other than some item names. And even those appear in series Square has nothing to do with. I guess you could mention summons as well, but Square isn't the only company that does that either lol. -
They are the number one publisher of anime in the country, so who knows heh (they own more than I thought, as a few years ago it seemed all they put out was stuff with tons if nudity in it). According to that press release they own quite a few live action properties as well... I'm not sure if they will show these or not, but they mentioned them, and I figure stuff like Gamera would be kind of likely.

ADV FILMS ANNOUNCES LAUNCH OF THE ANIME NETWORK(tm) ON DIGITAL CABLE FOR THE FIRST TIME, QUALITY ANIME PROGRAMMING TO BE AVAILABLE ON CABLE TELEVISION 24 HOURS A DAY HOUSTON, November 6, 2002-ADV Films today announced publicly the creation of The Anime Network(tm), the first television channel in North America dedicated to anime (Japanese animation) and anime-related content. The Anime Network(tm) targets the nation's estimated 85 million cable television subscribers, and seeks to capitalize on cable's increasing dominance in the world of at-home entertainment. Initially announced in June, 2002 at ADV Films' 10th Anniversary party in Tokyo, and announced in the U.S. at ADV's November 2 invitation-only 10th Anniversary party in Houston, the creation of The Anime Network(tm) has the industry abuzz with excitement and speculation. "This has been in the works for some time," said ADV Films President, Founder and CEO John Ledford. "Until now, the market and the culture haven't been ready for it. But today ever-increasing numbers of Americans are becoming familiar with anime and its distinctive aesthetic; they're curious about anime, they're hungry for it, and The Anime Network(tm) is going to deliver it right to their televisions." Competitive Advantage While existing cable outlets have enjoyed strong ratings with limited blocks of anime and anime-inspired animated programming, The Anime Network(tm) will make fine anime programming available to viewers 24 hours a day. "The Anime Network(tm) is the next logical step," said Ledford. "The television outlets that currently carry anime aren't meeting the potential demand; they offer very limited selections of titles, and only during very restricted hours. The Anime Network(tm) will change all of that, and we're excited to be leading the revolution." Content The Anime Network(tm) model is structured around four categorized content areas: Action Zone, Sci-Fi, Comedy Incorrect, and Horror/Martial Arts. These categories are designed to include virtually the entire spectrum of quality anime, while contextualizing content for new viewers unfamiliar with specific titles. Coming Up Coming soon, releases detailing geographic/service provider availability of The Anime Network,(tm) along with information about whom viewers can call regarding local availability; also, a sneak preview of programming that will be available in The Anime Network(tm)'s first months. About ADV Films: In 1992, ADV Films (ADV) began to forge the international market for Japanese animation ("anime") by combining unique titles, outstanding production values and efficient large-scale distribution. Today, ADV is the #1 producer-distributor of Japanese animation to the North American market, with the firm's holdings including such premier titles as "Spriggan", "Sailor Moon," "Samurai X," "Medabots," "Robotech," "Gasaraki" and "Neon Genesis Evangelion." ADV has also expanded into other forms of genre programming, including live-action science fiction programs "Gene Roddenberry's Andromeda" and "Farscape," and classic science fiction such as "Gamera: Guardian of the Universe." Headquartered in Houston, Texas, USA, with additional offices in the EU and Japan, and distribution on four continents, ADV is fast becoming an international entertainment powerhouse. For more information, visit ADV on the web at http://www.advfilms.com.
So basically ADV is launching an all anime/Japan channel. I hadn't even heard of this before today, but it could be pretty cool if it actually gets some exposure. The only annoying thing would be that it might just be all ADV stuff, as this press release gives no indication otherwise.

Ghost in the Shell was really hard to watch after the manga... It takes more liberties with the storyline and characters that most any other book to film conversion I can think of. Some of the characters barely even looked the same. The anime can't even begin to compare to the questions and ideas the manga brings up... The only problem is that sometimes you can get totally lost, and have to rely on the footnote section in the back of the book. Masamune Shirow seems to like creating a whole world for his series (government, world layout, everything -- Appleseed was just as complex in this aspect). Still worth seeing, but I really don't think it was all that special.

Business suit? lol Yes, we all know that James is "The Man." He's always keeping us down. My Otaku seems like a decent idea... Although I'm going to miss the nonexistant game thingy.

I didn't like drivers ed. It actually took me a year (to the exact date lol) to completey finish it. It's 2345345634 times more aggrivating to drive with some weird guy staring at you writing stuff than it is to actually drive. Even more annoying was I kept getting this guy who loved pressing his break when it wasn't needed. The actual driving test at the DMV was easy. Drove 3 blocks, did a Y turn and parked in a diagonal spot. That was it, and I got my license. Great thing to have, especially if you get a car right away. Being able to go nearly anywhere you want while playing whatever music you want is a really great thing. If you want to learn manual... Rent a car and pay for the insurance. You can then practice on that car without worrying about messing it up. You're covered :). A lot of people here seem to do that.

Well the maybe the problem isn't the Newbie Lounge... It's all the people who "play mod" as you put it. The ironic thing is that most of those reponses to the original "spam" are even more spammy. Not to single anyone out, but there was a thread in the FF section where the first 5 posts were about whether or not the thread should be moved. Not one of them even addressed the original question. I think things like that are even more stupid than something like Newbie Lounge. I mostly notice that problem in the Art Forum, where people have gotten kind of nasty over such things. I think you were in one of those threads trying to sort it out. I guess the more I read about the Newbie Lounge, the more I think it's just a necessary evil of sorts. Like I said before, I don't really understand it... But I am not so sure anymore that I'd like it to just go away. Getting rid of completely could lead to a lot of other problems... And Sara has kind of made me realize that heh.
Originally posted by Sara And even if the majority of members know how to deal with a thread in the wrong area, boy...some members can be really rude. "You better shape up or you'll get banned! Read the rules! Watch out or they'll get you with the modrod!!! SPAM!!!!!" "...Oh, yeah, and welcome to the boards." Not that you'll stay long after a greeting like that.....
I agree that that is a problem as well. As soon as someone messes up slightly, there are then people on his butt about it. The whole thread goes off course and everyone winds up fighting. I guess some people are on some secret crusade to make the boards a perfect place... Just seems to piss people off and scare new peolpe away lol. I do get your point though. Being in the much slower gaming forums, you don't really come across these types of posts... So I have little experience with them. I guess I don't see why there should be any sort of introcuction threads in the first place. At many of the boards I used to visit, people would be like "Hi, this is my first post, blah blah blah." And then they would actually add to the discussion that was already in place in that thread. Why is that a problem here? I don't really understand that. As for letting your hair down... Why don't you just post like that in the first place? There are plenty of people here who act themselves but still add to conversations. I don't think anyone here has ever asked people to be totally serious all the time lol. People make jokes in threads all the time.

Not liking a game based on how it is... That's not being biased. Not liking a game just because it has DBZ or is on some certain system... That's is bias. As for making another one... In general that doesn't mean anything. There are 50 Army Men games, but most are terrible. It's all about money, and companies know DBZ fans are starved for a good game. I didn't like the little I played of this game... But has anyone played that DBZ card game on GBA? It looked decent.

Half these posts make it sound like some of you act totally different in the Newbie lounge just because "spammy" type stuff is allowed there. I guess I don't understand the newbie lounge. If you want people to know you like Yu-Gi-Oh or Playstation, then go add to those forums. I think there are way too many seperate sections at OB as it is (for example I'd combine all the gaming threads into one). I can understand the reasoning for the Newbie Lounge's existance. I just don't see why it cannot be like other boards, where people make their first impressions based on what they write in general... instead of a two sentence post saying they like anime and want friends, followed by 20 posts of people saying "read the rules or I'll bite you" or inside jokes lol. Perhaps the best thing to do is just ignore its existance if you are not fond of it lol. That's basically what I do. I definately wouldn't mind seeing it go, but since I hardly go as it is... Who am I to say one way or the other. I just don't really see how the newbie lounge leads to any sort of converation that is actually worth keeping around. At other boards I go to, the newbie lounge simply doesn't exist, there is no counterpart to it either. People can see if you have been here a short time based on the post counter under your name. If you want to say something to them, I don't see why you can't do so in your normal post as a sort of "P.S." type thing. Why not just make a sticky in the Otaku Lounge where people can introduce themselves? It probably would be enough, and might not lead to so much "abuse," or whatever you would like to call it. Which is more or less what MathGuy2 has suggested.

I didn't vote. Even if I try to pay attention to the races here in Illinois, I have no idea what is true and what's not. The race for nearly every office up for election here has been nothing but negative commericals and arguing. I just didn't bother.

Sony actually counts PS2s as sold as soon as they are finished at the manufacturing plant and on a dock. Either way, they still have a massive lead.

I'm sure this is just as reliable as pills that increase boob size or penis length. It seems like anyone can pop out some study lately. I've heard 34534563 things about just what eggs do, all contradicting. All I know is that I stopped drinking soda and I don't feel as sick anymore. I'm not going to start drinking more again so I can hope to gain a point on an IQ test lol. Tea is good though :).
