You forgot to close it :)

I believe they've done it before...You can find some live mp3s with orchestration. I don't know that they've done it to this extent before though. I haven't listened to their last CD much, so it's hard for me to say if it'd work or not.

They replaced that with some game called Roll-a-Rama... I have NO idea why. Basically, it seems to be the exact same game except all the Kirby stuff is gone and the character is a normal ball instead. It still seems like a cool concept though.

As far as I know, only 3 games make use of the GC to GBA link right now: Sonic Advance/Sonic Adventure 2, the two Mickey Mouse games, and Animal Crossing. I don't know much about the Sonic connection. I hear it works pretty much like a DC VMU, and you just take care of Chaos on your GBA. The Mickey connection is supposedly near useless. The Animal Crossing connection is far more interesting though... You can use it with the E-Reader to get new items, design textures for use on signs, umbrellas, flags and shirts and go to a seperate little island when the GBA is plugged in. Future games will be making use of it... Metroid (not sure how yet), Zelda (sof ar you can play as Tingle on the GBA and help out in dungeons), Donkey Kong Plus (design levels on the GC and play them on the GBA) and several others. It doesn't do either of the things you think it does though heh.

You risk damaging the CD even more over time doing it that way.

Does everything have to turn into a fight here? If you think it's stupid, don't post... It's not that difficult.

First song I ever heard was their cover of Paint It Black (the only Stones song I remotely like). Went from there haha. You're honestly the first person I've ever seen bring them up other than me. They do tour Australia... http://www.teaparty.com/live.html I have no idea if you are near any of these places though. The other CDs are definately worth searching out, with the possible exception of Tangents which is basically a waste of time if you own the other LPs (I think the only new song is Walking Wounded). I wish I could go up to Canada... all the shows there will be backed by a 42 piece orchestra.

That's an awful lot of people for a car bomb. It's still strange reading stories like these... Although I don't want to ever get used to them.

I don't think Hot Head likes me of anything haha :). I forgot a character I thought was pretty cool.... That red furry monster that wears sneakers. He is in those haunted house Bugs Bunny episodes. I forget his name. It's so hard watching any new things with Looney Tunes characters too... No one comes close to Mel Blanc at all.

I like Sakuya. She is overly sensitive, and runs on and on a lot... But her heart is in the right place. She probably wouldn't be that much of a pest if Tenchi wasn't so damn thickheaded when it comes to girls.

I've only played the demo... The demo itself made little sense, and I had a really hard time playing the game on the PS2 controller... But it seemed like it had tons of promise, and really did feel a lot like Goldeneye (more than I expected). I've yet to see one bad review for this game either... some are even giving it 10's. I'll be picking up the GC version most likely.

Gameboy Color wise... There are only a few that come to mind for me. Dragon Warrior 1 & 2, Dragon Warrior 3 and Persona. There is also Dragon Warrior Monsters, but that's more of a Pokemon game. It is damn good though. I personally think DW3 is the absolute best RPG on any Gameboy System. And yes, the GBA will play any Gameboy/Color/Advance cartridge from any country.
Originally posted by The Harlequin You know, Semjaza, to be the pinncale of "hardcore goth", would probably require being dead.
Heh... I suppose that's true. Thanks to both of you for good replies to my questions at the least :). I don't personally know any gothic type people, so understanding what work's and doesn't to most people is not something I am sure of. I always thought The Tea Party had a gothic side to it, but there is really a lot of diversity. I own all their main LPs now, and I can't really define them. Some songs are blues, some have more industrial edges to them (especially on Transmission, which is my favorite), some are just beautiful guitar arrangements... I really wish they'd tour the US a little more openly. As far as I know, the only US stop was Michigan, and I was too late :(.
"But what does gothic mean in regards to the group of people? Here's where it gets confusing. There are things that many Gothics like that are not gothic (Industrial or Classical music). There are things that are gothic that many Gothics dislike (vampires, interest in death). There are things that some people think are gothic that are not gothic (bands like Marilyn Manson and Nine Inch Nails), and there are things that do not call themselves gothic even if they are considered gothic by most people (bands like Sisters of Mercy and Dead Can Dance). However, there's no Grand Gothic Judge to decree what is truly Goth and what is not, although there are plenty of people who claim to be it. It's an ambiguous label with many people using it that don't understand what it means. The people who do understand it often have many different definitions." --gothics.org
I totally agree with this. Goth is a label. I get different interpretations of what goth is from different people, and honestly who can say who is right? Bloodflowers has a gothic edge to it, that's my, and many other people's, opinion. I don't see why everyone argues over it. It's not like anyone here is calling something like Manson a true gothic band. I've listened to and bought many things that some people consider gothic, other people tell me they're something else. Black Tape for a Blue Girl, Lycia, Dead Can Dance, Folseid, Unto Ashes, Mira, Rhea's Obession and some others are all groups I listen to and enjoy... Yet everyone else wants to stuff them into other categories (I don't care what goth sub-divisions some of these might be under). I've seen the Cure called different genres just on these boards alone. Yeah, they are basically just rock... but they don't exactly fit in that category either. If anyone here can define "goth" to me with total and utmost clarity then I will shut up. I don't think anyone can... If they think they are the pinnacle of "hardcore" goth, I'm inclined not to believe them anyway. (As for Depeche Mode, I've only heard a few songs and didn't like them whatsoever... I don't know what they are considered, so I went along with it -- although I always thought people always looked at them as more of the forefathers of techno and house music lol. The Cure is mostly confusing me, because I mentioned them in the last goth thread we had here and I was more or less shot down).

It's also coming to PC.

That was one of my earlier points, this is math class... not sex ed lol. But either way, he hardly did anything that he should be removed from teaching. From his perspective, he might have just been saying something to inform. Whether or not people listening think that's some "immoral" thing is another story. I have a few gay friends that I'm pretty close with, and it is rather disheartening to hear some of these "scared" comments. It's like people want to try to group gay people with some sort of sexual predators.

Are you numbering by the Japanese numbers? I posted a thread here a few months ago... Square is basically putting the Wonderswan Color remakes of the Famicom games (FF1 and FF2 in Japan) on the PSX. The games will have beefed up sound and added FMV openings, but otherwise will still look 16-bit. There are no announced plans to bring these two games here. They will be sold together in a collectors set in Japan, as well as seperately for like 30 bucks each. Most RPG translations aren't announced until, or just before, the Japanese release is out. I don't know if I expect these or not... Afterall, we got a far different Chronicles/Anthology release than Japan did. I'd personally like it if they stuck both on one DVD and just sold it for PS2 here. I'm sure the game has horrible loading times just like the Chronicles release, so I'm not so sure I'd personally bother anyway. Here's the old thread: http://www.otakuboards.com/showthread.php?s=&threadid=13934

I bought Silent Hill 2 randomly one day. A store by my house got some copies in earlier than I expected, so I grabbed it. I liked the first Silent Hill, but I never actually got around to beating it. With Silent Hill 2 I played the hell out of it until I finished, and didn't even think about playing anything else. I liked it that much. It's reasonably short, but the game has incredible atmosphere. The only annoying aspect really is having to run about an entire city, with only a few location you can actually go into. Hope you find it somewhere... Around my house every store pretty much clearanced it out lol.

A lot of my friends go on and on about it. It's okay, but I don't really understand what happened to regenerate all this interest in it. It seemed all but dead a couple years ago haha.

I personally wouldn't look at this any different than I would some female teacher (who no one knew previously according to the story) talking about being inseminated or having a midwife. The fact is, what does it have to do with anything? Saying you're gay or whatever is one thing; saying all he said is another matter. I didn't think him being gay or not was really the issue, but I guess everyone else thinks otherwise.
-
In general I'd probably say something else, but sometimes you just have to forget other people and do what would make you happy. So personally I say go for it, the other girl will get over him. This has some of the longest run-on sentences I ever saw. My head hurts lol.

I used to buy models a lot when I was younger. Seemed like half of them were always missing a part... Especially the cheaper ones. I never had problems like that with models of Japanese shows I got at hobby shops... Macross and those super deformed robot guys... I forget what they were called (they have like a million video games though).

I think you guys need to differentiate between favorite topics that are like lists and one word posts. Stuff with actual conversation is generally alright, and that's what's going on here. I guess whoever is in charge here can do what they want though. I just hope this doesn't turn into yet another "I hate this band and this band isn't ____" thread again.
