I don't really hate any type of music. I can't get into most rap, country, current R&B (the old stuff was great... really old stuff hah) or some other off genres. If other people want to listen to it, that's fine by me. I know many people who'd rather die than listen to some of my favorite bands, but I think that's their problem lol.

I played the demo on the PC when it was first being included with PC magazine demo CDs. It was cool, but nothing amazing... There was really nothing to it other than drive from point A to point B. I still had some fun with it though :).

Actually the one of the most famous abduction cases happened a long time ago and the "victims" were a black man and his wife... So whatever lol. I am not going to discuss the rest of what's being brought up here as I don't like the way that this thread could possibly be headed in.

I was never into Adam Sandler... I liked his first couple movies, but the other ones were just bleh. I remember when Waterboy was doing so well at the theaters, everyone was talking about it. I rented the thing a bit later and did't laugh [i]once[/i]. I don't even remember smiling. After that I have no reason to expect much from his other movies, and I doubt Mr. Deeds is an exception. But if you love it, that's cool too heh.

For me the main reason to have a Xbox is it's insane amount of emulation possibilites. Yeah, you can do it on PC too, but Xbox feels better as it goes directly to a normal TV set... I can pick up an X-Arcade stick, hook it up to my Xbox and play MAME all the time :). As for sports, I don't really play those games much outside of racers. Rallisport Challenge is an excellent game that is being clearanced out at a lot of stores. People should really look around in Target right now, they are clearancing like crazy.

I've never heard the White Stripes before, but they sound like a love or hate band. A lot of people have the same complaints about the Pixies, which are one of my favorite bands. At first the Pixies sound like crap, barring a few songs... But they grow on you, and I quickly found myself buying all their CDs and loving every single song they put out. They all know how to play their instruments, but it's like they want to [i]not[/i] play them well on purpose. Seperately it would sound like horrible noise, but when they get together it somehow works. I dunno if that's how the White Stripes are but whatever. There are plenty of 2 people bands that are amazing, I would never use that as an excuse. I believe Curve is only made of 2 main members... and if I recall correctly 12 Rounds is as well (maybe 3). They are both excellent.

Huh? That's comparing worldwide [i]shipped[/i] PS2 numbers to some random GC and Xbox numbers that are apparently including only Japan. Shipped is not the same as sold. GC has something like 4.7 million sold worldwide and Xbox is at like 3.8. Those numbers are way off lol. Not that I think anything will catch up to PS2, but that's besides the point :).

Lik Sang and J-list have dozens of these things... it's kinda creepy when you think about it heh. Ironic that it says "mature people only" when everyone is being so immature about it ;).

I know you all think it's something bad... And really it could be used for that, but in actuallity it's marketed as a plain old massage wand. Like those big stupid massagers we sell here in the US, except ours usually have a different shape. It's not meant to be a vibrator, although I'm sure most people would think otherwise lol.

I posted about this in that old summer movies thread we had in here. I first heard about it when SLS News posted something about the possibility of Trent Reznor doing the score... Of course that fell through, like always. The movie seemed pretty damn good though. Robin Williams is good at playing a villain even though people consider him only a comedian. Never once in Insomniac did I expect him to start acting like Mrs. Doubtfire or something, he was easy to take seriously. I don't think that would work with someone like Jim Carrey for example lol. Looking forward to it's release on DVD... Not a big theater person :).

I've been using it since the boards went back up... Maybe you guys should try emptying your temp internet files and see if that helps any.

Last I heard the remakes of those FF games turned out just like the remake of GT2. They never were done. I've heard nothing about them since their initial "annoucement," which last I read was never really official. If anything changed, that's news to me lol. FFXII should be good. Sakaguchi has a smaller involvement in the game, if anything... Matsuno is mostly in charge, which is a very, very good thing in my mind :)

ASLPSXKTHXBYE Eh... I am use to the standard abbreviations. I mean, lol is fine... I am not going to type "I am laughing." or something stupid like that. I hate stuff like u, y or @ used in place of words. Is it honestly that difficult to type an extra letter or two? In terms of boards, I would like if it people wrote well... Not really like perfect or anything, but none of this "ur" crap either. That stuff belongs in chat rooms where you have to actually type quickly to get something in, or on phones because they are a pain to write with. I think the main problem is that everyone I know personally that does that is a moron, so I just automatically assume that anyone that writes like that is an idiot. Don't mean to, but it happens.

Yep, Cube is getting FF:CC exclusively (which supposedly will have a GBA version as well; at the very least it links to the GBA). Supposedly there are more GC games coming from them too, but it's all just rumors right now. The latest one being that the system is getting some sort of version of FFT and another Chocobo game. I wouldn't put any faith in that yet though. Sony put out some sort of public release saying they are upset with Square and Capcom getting so friendly with Nintendo, oh well :). I'm rather surprised by the sudden change in Yuna's... Innocence? lol I prefer CC over CT personally, but that's another matter :).

I'm not gonna predict anything, but I just wanted to say this Bears game is great lol. After years and years of crap with this team, it's such a turn around :). They are killing the Saints...Have intercepted nearly everytime the Saints get the ball... 20 to 0, with 12 minutes left in the 2nd Quarter. For once the Bears might not win a game last minute hehe. Edit --- Well they messed up that lead lol.

You might have had good intentions, but I don't think it's a good thing to have here. I wouldn't want to find out that everyone here disliked me, and I bet anything it would make a lot of people paranoid that people were referring to them. I think it would have hurt more people than it would have helped.

I would assume by this Christmas. It seems like Sony announces Greatest Hits games like a WEEK before them come out, so sometimes you never know lol. I don't know if FFX sales are still rather high, but I doubt it. If they were it would probably be a while yet til it was a greatest hits... I bet GTA3 won't be one until Vice City hits for that reason.

James asked me to stick this in here... If you've been keeping up with Square lately then you might know that they plan to make some spin-offs/sequels to FFX. One was to star Yuna, and the other would star Rikku. I'm not sure if they became one game now or what is up, but anyway... There was a poster for sale at TGS this past weekend that advertises the game. It's now known as FFX: Another Lord. Seems like a big change lol. [img]http://home.earthlink.net/~somewhtdamaged/yuna.jpg[/img] I can't find the original without the gamera.com logo anymore sadly. Now on the left is someone with a sword like Tidus'... but honestly the body build is nothing alike. The one on the right is simliar to Rikku, but the build also seems different... I guess it could be another Al-Bhed or something heh. Edit (some spoilers maybe) -- I've been thinking about this... I've never beaten FFX (I got to some desert where I lost the other characters, and someone borrowed my game), but I am thinking this is somehow about the Al-Bhed. I will explain why, if something is wrong with this tell me :). Both of the characters in the background look like they wear Al-Bhed clothing. At first the Tidus style sword threw me off... But didn't Wakka say that sword originally belonged to his brother? I believe the whole reason that Wakka had a problem with his brother was that his brother joined the Al-Bhed. Well now suddenly we have someone with the same sword in Al-Bhed clothing. I am willing to bet that is Wakka's brother. Then we have that Rikku looking character. If it is her, I don't know. But it is possible that the original idea of one Rikku game and one Yuna game were merged into one. Lastly is something I thought of, and James also pointed out. Yuna has guns; only the Al-Bhed use guns and most machinery in FFX. Yuna did know Wakka's brother afterall, so it is likely they could be friends and team up. Anyways, that's my speculation lol.

I have none of these problems now. I had these same complaints when the board first went up, but since the new gizmo was put in, it has worked perfectly.

The laugh scene was one of the worst gaming moments ever for me. It was so ebarassing to watch and listen to that I actually got up and closed my door so no one would hear it lol.

The one on regular Playstation is horrible, yeah lol. I've never played the PS2 version, but I imported the DC version which I hear is much better. This is supposedly the best version of the game... I'm not sure what to think of the controller yet, but there are always those converters so you can use PS2 controllers on the GC lol. Looking forward to being able to read the damn story sequences finally :).

According to [url]www.gamerankings.com,[/url] Blinx has yet to be reviewed by any site or publication. There were some fake GI and EGM scores posted around the internet though. The concept behind Blinx is cool; the whole altering time thing. It's graphically impressive in a technical sense, but based on what I've seen I simply don't like the style. I think Blinx is a horrible character design, the monsters are just plain boring (how many different types of slime are there???)... The levels overall look good though. I've read that the actual level layout is nothing special though. I'm still on the fence about the game though. I might not be into the look, but if they pull off this time thing without making it seem like a gimmick, I might have to go get it.

The only person I've really seen that had a punk dress code is Ben Weasel... It's pretty funny to see someone dress [i]exactly[/i] to that; people are sheep sometimes. There are some people you look at, and you just KNOW they listen to punk... But usually they look like they are straight out of the Sex Pistols lol. Other than that, it's really getting harder and harder to tell. I have friends really into punk that I would have never guessed would even know one band. I don't get exactly what you mean by punk being dead. Is it dead simply because market created bands are feeding off of it? I mean, obviously it's still around and quite a few people here listen to it. Music is music, and I'm not going to try to get into this whole "punk is a mentality" thing simply because I don't think anyone really knows what that really means. All I know is that marketing gimmicks don't belong, as it basically contradicts what punk was started for and continues to exist for.

I forget how many missions the game contains... But like most Capcom games of this sort, it's REALLY short. I found the game rather easy and repetitve as well, but that's me heh.
