1. I don't read or see much MKRE honestly, but what I saw was really good. I don't see any reason to be that embarassed about it, you could do much worse. Most of my knowledge of it came from a Saturn game I own, which is pretty good. I will say that the dubbing is horrible, and the voices don't fit at all. The schoolgirls all sound like they are 30.
2. I think Snake was explained by someone once as being able to basically dislocate parts of his body when he wishes, which could somewhat explain his power. I always found it weird how they just introduce these pretty much useless evil characters for Golgo to fight... like Gold and Silver, and Snake to an extent. I wasn't too big on Snake's role in the movie (at least his actions towards the widow). I did love how the end to Golgo's job totally turns the story around. The first time I saw it, I never expected that. The game... well it's pretty good, because it follows the movie storyline. Golgo runs through a city area, and has to stop in buildings to get more information on his job... The end of the first level has you using a sniper rifle to kill a guy in a tower. It's nothing amazing now, but it was quite cool to me at the time. They even put in the parts where Golgo sleeps with all the girls haha. My only real complaint is that the A and B buttons are reversed compared to all other NES games.
3. Heh, they have a whole CD out, so there is definately more than just those two songs... The CD is called "In Search of..." and has been out for probably months now (has a picture of one of them playing PSX on the cover). "Lapdance" was the only single I can think of... The only reason I ever got into the group was because Trent Reznor of Nine Inch Nails did a remix for it. I'm not generally into this type of music, but I thought it was all pretty good. The band consists of The Neptunes, like Nerdsy said, as well as some other members. I believe there are a lot of guests on the CD as well. They have been around quite a while as producers and such.
4. I don't think it's a bad ending, but the ending to Golgo 13 always drove me nuts. Does he get killed? Does he live? Was he hit? What was she aiming at? And what does she hit instead? It doesn't answer any of those questions at all. Since then Golgo 13: Queen Bee has come out, so obviously Golgo survives... but I saw the original several years ago for the first time and it was always really annoying.
5. I have a USB DSL modem, so I wonder if that would work instead... Does anyone know if it still comes with an online version of Frequency? They announced that a while ago, but never mentioned it again. That's still the best PS2 game out, in my opinion.
6. Um, there aren't many games that are announced past Zelda anyway... lol. I know of very few games on anything coming out after next February that we know enough about to get exicted.
7. The deal doesn't include spinoff's and such. So RE Online and any Gun Survivor games don't count.
8. I don't see how they are losing their originality... Honestly, GC is only getting 3 new RE games, one of which (the remake) already came out. The rest are really just straight ports to get Nintendo fans into the franchise. It's not like Capcom hasn't released a million versions of one game in a short period before. There are so many Street Fighter games that most people lost count. At least 7 of which came out on the DC in it's short life cycle (I'm including imports). I don't think this is nearly as bad as that :). These games are still really popular, and they do sell. RE didn't sell as well as most Nintendo freaks here thought it would in Japan, but Capcom never expected it to. It was ahead of their estimates even. Apparently, people there aren't too keen on remakes... but I know that RE Zero is in the Top 5 most wanted at Famitsu. Hopefully this game will sell, and it will show that Capcom made a good decision.
9. While I respect your opinion, I'd NEVER call Golgo 13 superior to all other anime movies. Golgo 13 is a really good movie, and I did enjoy it. It compares really well to most live action movies like it. There were some really memorable moments (for example, when he aims through two buildings, you'll know what I mean if you saw it). Golgo himself is likable for some reason, despite him talking so little. In terms of maturity, you basically have to know one thing: He kills every single man in the movie, and sleeps with every single girl. And all of it is rather explicit. The game on NES was also pretty good, I'm glad they bothered to release it here :).
10. I didn't think he meant any GC game in the next 2 years, so I just listed stuff coming before September lol. I think MP, Zelda and SFA are pretty much a given for most people with a GC. Why would you buy it if you didn't want one of those (or SMS too)? :) I've also wanted Animal Crossing since it was announced for N64 in Japan all those years ago. It's probably my most wanted GC game. I also want Ikuragua (PLEASE), if the port rumors turn out to be true. Nightfire, Mystic Heroes and a few other games might be worth getting as well. As for SC2... if you play the game enough, I think it would be better suited for GC's controller. This isn't a 6 button 2D fighter we're talking about, it's a fighter that really only uses 4 buttons (punch, kick, block... and that charge, which can be done other ways). I can't tell you how many times I've messed up in VF4, just because I don't feel the PS2 controller is suited to that game at all. I feel the same about SC2. I think they can make a great layout for it. However, I only use the stick in fighters when it is allowed, so if you want to use the GC D-pad...maybe you are better off with the PS2 controller anyway.
11. The S Controller was originally the Japanese Xbox's pack in controller. People here demaned it for quite a while, and so MS finally released it. So it is first party. I wouldn't bother with 3rd party controllers. First party official Xbox controllers are now $29.99, so I'd stick with them.

Futurama

I can't see why Family Guy would cost that much. It's not like it was made by Groening, it was made by an unknown at the time. UPN was rumored to pick it up, and the creator wanted people to write in to them so they would see it had an audience. Guess it didn't work.
13. Yeah it's a disc that will let you play any GC game on any GC, no matter what format.
14. I'm planning on getting Smuggler's Run, Agressive Inline and Beach Spikers before Mario... and then whatever version of Turok is best a few days later. If you need a game NOW, go get Bomberman Generations... I love that game :).
15. I've never actually had a nightmare before. The oldest dream I can remember is from when I was about seven years old... Generally, I remember the dream totally when I wake up and nearly forget all of it within the next few minutes. I remember parts, and sometimes the basic plot of the dream... but that's it. I remember hearing that people cannot read in dreams, some don't see color and some cannot feel in dreams... I specifically remember reading things in dreams, mine are color and I feel what's going on. Dunno how most people are with all that. I do know, that if I have a weird dream, I wake up because of something I did. Like if I fall in my dream, my whole body like jumps and I wake up feeling like I was going to fall. I also had one where I was drowning... the scariest part about that was that I woke up and I couldn't see or take in any air for a few seconds. It freaked the hell out of me heh.
16. It's so sad that so few people have seen Lain. It's easily one of the better anime series I've seen, and a lot more intelligent. Oh well. And I don't remember if I, or anyone else, said this... but Roujin Z is also worth seeing. It's from the writer of the Akira manga I believe.
17. Eh, Nintendo sucks about getting games out on time to any country :D. But yeah, I know how you guys have to wait for October... Maybe you'd be better off ordering Freeloader for 25 bucks, importing a US SMS and getting it months before most other people there :). Only, problem is that it would be quite a bit of money... But a Freeloader is something you should own if you want to play everything possible anyway (I'm still hoping for a Doshin the Giant release, which keeps getting unconfirmed and confirmed again. That's all I want imported right now haha).
18. Dragon Warrior 2 because it's the most difficult, unclear, frustrating and non-linear RPG I've played that I can remember. There are a lot of games I haven't beat, generally only because I didn't think they were worth my time. SaGa Frontier, Kouldeka and Silver are good examples of that.
19. http://www.commsdesign.com/story/OEG20020723S0045 ---------------------------------------------------------------- NEW ORLEANS ? Motorola Inc.'s Semiconductor Products Sector will use a proprietary frequency-hopping scheme developed for multiuser gaming as its indirect entry into 2.4-GHz wireless markets, corporate vice president Ray Burgess told the Smart Networks Developer Forum Tuesday (July 23). The isochronous network, developed with input from Nintendo Co. Ltd., Sony Corp. and other game platform developers, will be extended into other markets to serve as a "feeder" for future ad-hoc mesh-based piconets that use 802.11 wireless technology as their underlying infrastructure, Burgess said. Motorola was chided by Smart Networks keynoter Nicholas Negroponte for not having a strong 802.11 media-access controller and physical-layer offering. David Perkins, vice president and general manager of the networking and computing systems group at Motorola's Semiconductor Products Sector, said the unit's PowerPC processor often serves as a port aggregator in 802.11 access systems, giving Motorola a strong indirect role in wireless LANs. But Burgess said the company would bypass direct WLAN chip sets in favor of a two-pronged strategy of Bluetooth and isochronous game-LAN support. Motorola remains committed to Bluetooth for embedded short-range applications where point-to-point networking is the primary target and interference with 802.11 is not a problem, Burgess said. But the multiuser gaming market required a very low latency network where traditional packet-collision problems precluded use of 802.11, he said. In order to develop such products, a coalition resembling Bluetooth was a hindrance rather than an advantage, he said. "Our first target will not require industry support. We went with a proprietary modulation method, because we really don't need any alliances except with our gaming partners," Burgess said. "As the technology moves outside the gaming market, we could start opening up the details of our approach, and working with more partners." Because the network is intended for streaming, near-real-time traffic and does not have to use LAN contention methods, developers of such systems will not have to worry about packet collisions with home networks based on 802.11, he said. The hopping modulation scheme will not interfere with either LANs or Bluetooth links in the unlicensed 2.4-GHz band. But as wireless LANs move to mesh-based piconets employing multihop routing across access points, the gaming LAN could be used as a local networking cluster operating in conjunction with 802.11, Burgess said. Motorola and Nintendo have demonstrated the isochronous gaming LAN privately at gaming conferences over the last quarter. The RF subsystems will be ready for volume production in the second half of this year, Burgess said. -------------------------------------------------------- Now needless to say, this won't be a Nintendo only thing most likely. SCEA was also involved, so there might be some sort of PS2 versions as well. I posted it here though, because the article specifically states Nintendo and Motorola have demoed it together. This might be part of what Sonic Team and Nintendo used to LAN together GC's with the new portable screen to play that PSO Card Game at E3. This wireless device might have been what Naka was talking about in the past. Either way, it's pretty cool... At least Nintendo is trying ;). Now we just need more normal internet games too...
20. This is my favorite SNES RPG... I still think it has the best translation for it's time. My only complaint is that it was too damn easy.
21. Yeah, but the requirements for the PC version are insane. Luckily, I have a new PC and can make the cut... Might have to delete some old stuff to fit it on the main HD though... :).
22. Name: An angel from the Apokrypha that led other Watcher angels to Earth as they were jealous of mankind's freedoms. They had children with women (as all Watchers are male), and taught man most of their skills...weapon making, art, war, abortion, etc. Semjaza taught weapon making and war painting. Of course, God got pissed and destroyed lots of stuff... SA is generally called Azazel now, and is considered a fallen angel depending on what I read. Avatar: What I was stuck with right now... The one I want is attatched. Sig: 3 of my favorite bands, and lyrics from "Reptile" by Nine Inch Nails.
23. I'm not sure what you are meaning up there. It isn't being delayed. The game is already out in Japan (it's sold 400,000+ copies in 4 days), and the August 26th date is set in stone.
24. Well they did introduce a few new control -isms for the GC version, but yeah otherwise it's the same. I can't remember the first game I beat. My first system was Atari 2600, but I never got into games much until the NES.... so I'd say SMB.
