I bought Elder Scolls 3: Morrowind last night for my PC. I must say I'm rather impressed. The graphics are excellent, and the interactivity is impressive. You can do nearly anything you would want to do, and unlike Baldur's Gate you could kill everyone in sight without getting attacked everytime you go to a new town. Just wondering what everyone's impressions of this game are so far, if anyone here has it. The reccomended system requirements are a little insane... A P3 800 MHz, 256 MB of RAM etc... I have a P4 1.8 GHz PC with 512 MB or RAM and a Radeon 7500 128 MB and I still have slowdown problems with it lol. It generally runs smooth. Hopefully it will be just as good on Xbox, and when it comes people should really check it out.

Anime Guy Only Topic: Who Dou Think Is The Finest Anime Chick??
Semjaza replied to SSJ Gotenks ok's topic in Otaku Central
I'd say Motoko Kusanagi is my favorite anime/manga chick... Although that monotone robot voice they gave her in the US dub of the anime nearly killed her for me (she is a damn cyborg, not a freaking robot). The manga puts the anime to shame, and has a way better story as well...But she simply kicks ***. Personally, I think the DBZ girls look too strange to be all that attractive. -
Metropolis the manga is somewhat based on the old Lang movie from the 20's... And the anime is based on that manga, although rather loosely. I guess the most recent comparison would be A.I., because the movie touches on the "can a robot love and be loved" thing quite a bit. I don't feel the plot is that thin, but it can be hard to follow at times. The animation itself is amazing. I was happy when I saw the first shots of Metropolis, because it was a return to the old soft style of anime that no one does anymore. Everyone uses that pointy method that was popularized by Dragon Ball (and whatever other anime that has pointy hair). But this is such a double edged sword. All the characters look too Mickey Mouse Disney-ish. It's hard to take anyone seriously when they look like a doll. And then the main bad guy has a nose the size of a plane. It works well for Tima and Kodeichi (the two main kids), but most of the adults just look weird... The movie also uses that Looney Tunes circle wipe, which I haven't even seen in an American cartoon since Animaniacs. The package itself it beautiful. The art when you open up the case is incredible and so colorful. There is no music CD. There are 2 DVDs in the case. One is the movie, and the second is a mini-DVD (the size of a GC disc) that has all the extras. Speaking of the music it really caught me off guard... Jazz and Ray Charles are the last things I expected. It's good though, and right now it's $19.99 on sale at Suncoast... Generally it seems to go from 25 to 30.

Whether or not GTA3 will come to GC ever I have no idea. But Take 2 is releasing a game called Mafia (which has been in the works on PC since before GTA3 was even announced) is coming to GC. With the direction the game is headed it's supposedly could be the first Adults Only rated console game. The game sounds similiar in nature to GTA3, but with more substance... If Nintendo allowed this, they sure as hell would allow GTA3. Conker was almost as bad as GTA3 in some respects, and Nintendo owns almost half of Rare. I doubt they would censor a 3rd party after that. Also, Miyamoto has said they don't care about the violence as long as the game is decent. I have the game on PS2, so I personally don't care where else it goes... But it would be a nice game for GC to have.

I knew the game was having a lot of things totally redone-- acording to some reports more than 70% of it was changed... But I honestly didn't expect it to be that big. I just beat the game earlier today, and I beat the original on PSX several years ago. The PSX version took me maybe 4 to 5 hours my first time, while the GC one took me almost 10 (plus all the times I died and forgot to save). So much has been changed that relying on your memory of the original won't help anything. It uses what you remember against you. Of course the graphics are amazing... Especially the outdoor areas. Later areas where there is lots of puddles on the floor are also impressive as they reflect all character models perfectly (not all blurry like a lot of games with mirrors are on recent systems). I don't even think any two zombies look alike, at least it didn't seem like it. And things like the Chimera and Snake just look way more frightening now that you can see all the details. I can't say it was all that scary, SH2 is honestly creepier...although I don't feel it was as good as the new RE (and I LOVED SH2). It made me jump a few times, but honestly rather rarely. The game is very good at atmosphere and tension though, way more than any game I've played in a long time. Totally worth buying a GC for if you like this sort of game. I can't wait for Zero.

This game was the reason I even bought an Xbox. I don't like it as much as the first for several reasons... Mainly because they ditched the using the stick to tag method. They also got rid of the time limit and the Rokkaku no longer chase you while you are tagging the streets... It took away a LOT of the challenge. I also don't feel the music is as good as in the original, although it's still excellent. I don't get why Birthday Cake is in the game though, especially considering Cibo Matto's second LP "Stereo*Type A" has tons of songs that would fit the game better. And the game was Jet Set Radio in Japan and always was. Who knows why Sega changed the DC one to Grind when it came out in the US.

I've been planning on selling my Xbox for a while. I'm not going to get into the reasons why, but basically I need the money. Since there might be a price drop at E3 I figure now is a good time. So my question is... How much will Gamestop give you for a basically brand new Xbox with all the cords and packaging? Thanks :).
