1. So much class that he got banned for it. Makes a lot of sense. We need a new judge.
2.
My names transick never and I think Systems of a Downs suck the big one. The band has no talents whatsoever. Japanesey bands FTW!
When do you come back, TN?
3. Quite honestly, the manual camera isn't so precise or necessary that it even has been majorly useful in the game for me. The automatic one works well enough and is usually positioned where you would want to put it yourself to begin with. Point being, I doubt anyone with the Wii version is missing much.
4. This difficulty thing you guys are bringing up is a major problem for me. Wind Waker was just ridiculous. I made myself die just to see what the game over screen was like. There's something wrong when a big pig in your opening village takes away more hearts from you than the bosses in the game. I think the problem, partially, is the addition of quarter hearts. I think this is the worst addition to the series so far. When you're going to get over a dozen hearts just by playing the game normally (and WAY more if you look around), quarter hearts are pointless. Pick-ups to regenerate are so plentiful that it winds up just being a cake walk. If Nintendo wants to do this, then fine, but at least include a hard mode. I've brought this up on other Nintendo sites and people jump at me like this is an insane request. They'd rather play the game "how the creators envisioned it". If the creators envisioned a game without real challenge, I have to say it makes me sad. I think this hurts the series. It takes away any sense of live or death, basically removing any sense of fear. There's a lot to be said about just barely clinging on to life and still defeating the boss. Zelda has managed to destroy that. If they want to take the game and leave the settings for Normal Mode, and then increase the strength of the enemies for a Hard Mode, I'd be all for that.
5. I just picked up the GCN version too. I don't have a Wii and have no real intent to buy one for a while, so I figured $50 was a better option compared to $250 + $50. Although Elebits came out today and that looks pretty awesome. As an aside, I was surprised to see Best Buy sells DS imports like Jump Superstars and Naruto.
6. My first kiss was the worst experience of my life.
7. Those are incredibly cool. I think what would look really good is if you find that brown and white fabric they use for sock monkeys. I bet that would look nice. All I do is make sprites out of Perler Beads. I guess I can post some here next time I make a few.
8. You could use the Quick Mask for far more specific selections, but that's a slightly more difficult process. However, I'd use that over something like the Magnetic Lasso, myself.
9. For future reference, if you just Google "guild wars client", you'll be given a link to the official download. As long as you have an account, you can log in and play as if you had the CD. You can access the expansions through it too. So you won't need the CD to re-install or anything else.
10. I don't really see what the difference is. The result is called a "couple" for a reason. I think all of it is give and take... if you're a girl and you like a guy, go for it.
11. If you really sit and read their allegation, they're only suing over one real thing: the button on the underside of the remote. They're not going after its 3D applications because their device has none. It's a mouse you can carry around. It's not even gyroscopic; moving the pointer onscreen actually requires you to use a d-pad of sorts. Considering the button idea was nothing amazingly novel when they applied it to their item, I don't think they have much of a case here. All the other applications involving the Wii controller are barely comparable. If it was a major issue, you'd think they'd have sued the many other companies with similar button layouts before. The thing is, none of them were as big as Nintendo. If nothing else, I think they're just hoping for some out of court settlement... but chances are Nintendo is going to trounce them.
12. I've been listening to them for a few years and got several other people here into them as well. I'm glad to see that the group is doing so well and look forward to the next album. Max is an incredibly talented guy. Despite needing someone to play drums on ...Is a Real Boy, every thing else on there (aside from the female vocals, obviously) was played by him. I think that's pretty impressive. Not to mention he's just an excellent writer. "Wow, I Can Get Sexual Too" is a good song. I think especially to anyone that uses the internet. I wound up having to rebuy that album, since that was on a bonus disc after they/he moved to a new (bigger) label. I have some of the older stuff too, but I don't think any of it is as impressive. He went into another level on ...Is a Real Boy.
13. The address to it. http://www.whatever.com/image.jpg
14. My hardest one was only actually hard because, for whatever reason, the girl was completely infatuated with me. I think she decided we'd get married, have 40 kids and move down to Florida when we're old to die before she even met me. So basically, when I finally decided that this thing really wasn't going anywhere (and that she was at least partially crazy) I had to end it. What made it hard is that she kind of went totally bonkers and yelled and cried her eyes out and asked the same two questions over and over. After so long all I could do was just hang up the phone and go do something else. She tried to interject herself into my life in a "girlfriend" way several times from now on. In fact, she bothered a later girlfriend (who she was friends with way back) with ideas that her and I would somehow eventually get back together. Yeah, right. So, yeah, more for sheer weirdness than actual pain on my behalf.
15. Nightfall is only $29.90 for 40 hours here if you're still looking to pick it up. http://www.gogamer.com/Guild-Wars--Nightfall-Daily-Winner_stcVVproductId5984211VVcatId455099VVviewprod.htm

snow?

Like any other "hack", you'd probably just have to find the working code and then paste it into your profile on myOtaku.
17. I know that Microsoft is banking a lot on this game in Japan. Really, if this doesn't push some units for them in that country, nothing would (it's now #2 on the Famitsu Readers Most Wanted list). I suppose they'll do as much outside "marketing" (such as manga) as possible. It makes sense. At least what's coming out looks to be quality stuff.
18. Sounds pretty interesting. I'm really interested in the game, but I don't think it's even come out in Japan yet... so I doubt anyone knows terribly much about its story beyond the basic idea of it. Does Akira Toriyama still work on manga? I ask simply because he did the character designs for the game... so it's interesting to see this from someone else.
19. I've only had problems with this due to my video card settings. I know with ATI, at least, in the control panel for the video card you can adjust the overlay settings. I would check if your card has something to that effect... certain movies I play on my PC don't seem to be affected by that overlay, while others do. Worth a try, I guess.
20.
I asked for... Final Fantasy XII Mellon Collie and the Infinite Sadness (the Smashing Pumpkins CD) Kaleido Star: New Wings volumes 5 & 6 (anime DVDs) A Borders gift card
FFXII is really good. Hopefully you'll like it. Also, Mellon Collie is such a good album. It's insane how many big songs came off of that one double disc album. Muzzle is my favorite song ever. I have a hard time saying what my "favorite" anything is, but that's one I'm pretty damn positive about. Anyway, I got my MP3 player already: Creative Zen Vision: M. It rocks. So now I don't really want anything. I'm sitting here and trying to come up with something and absolutely nothing is coming to mind. I guess I wouldn't mind some Sour Patch Kids.
21.
Neighburgers, by Protricity I don't know where I heard it first, but this catchy little piece was the main reason I even know of OCRemix. It's just really cool, despite the fact that I've never heard of the game "Zombies Ate My Neighbors".
Go hunt this out and play it (SNES and Genesis). It's a great game, particularly two player co-op. It's my dream that maybe Konami/Lucasarts will want to update this, stick it on Xbox Live Arcade for $10 and add online co-op. Not to derail this thread, but it's a super awesome game. Thanks for the remix link for it. It's a nice update, particularly since the core of it is still entirely from the game itself. The game is somewhat known for its great, totally quirky music.
22. Yeah, seriously, time spent lamenting on how this all involves things from years ago could have been time spent writing about something you're more familiar with for inclusion. It's not like Charles and others working on it are ignoring anything in here.
23. I don't think I've ever shown this to anyone but Jenna (and that was years ago). I thought it might be of some interest considering the entry.
24. There's a few I'd not mind seeing: Mnemnoth (or however that was spelled), Herman/Shift/whatever and cloricus. They're all kind of funny stories, in my opinion. The cloricus one should include the story of that weird avatar face off.
25.
And yeah, PoisonTongue needs an entry. In my two years and a bit here at OtakuBoards, he's the only thing/member that has stood out as "memorable" to me, amongst some other stuff that I can't think of right now. I might post again when I can think of them.
Do you realize who that is or am I missing something in your post? I think it's also important to point out in Kill Adam that James/Shy didn't tell us what to post. I've talked to various people who think the other people involved in the project simply embellished story and character ideas given to us by James and/or Shy. The RPG had structure, but in the sense that there were certain extremely simple objectives (such as kill ___ by the end of the chapter) and a specific post order. I'm not sure why some took this to mean anything else, but given my experience since, I think it's worth mentioning. I don't know if anyone else was kind of frustrated by this, but considering I've participated in only 3 RPGs and I put some decent work into this one, I found myself somewhat irritated by that.
