I think Code Veronica is the only RE game where the knife is even of any use. You can slaughter all the zombies at the start with that alone, no problem.

She probably stammered to stop herself from calling you names back.

I have a few Pillows CDs and I'd have to say that Thank You, My Twilight is still my favorite CD as well as my favorite song. They really transcend so many ideas I have about Japanese music... specifically because they don't sound dated lol.

I like the left side of it due to the color intensity, but the right side of it gets too cluttered for my taste. I've never been to into this style though, so don't mind me. It accomplishes what it sets out to do rather well, so I think it's cool overall. What's with people and using .'s in the titles so often lately...?

I've never heard anyone call an Asian a ping-pong master. In any case, pick your battles. If you're going to get this worked up over something this trivial, you'll have a lot of problems in the future. Everyone is made fun of eventually. I'm blonde, but these always relate to girls anyway. Not guys.

I'm rather surprised by that considering the communist countries that are close in distance to and have been involved with all of Europe in some form.

There's a few fans here. Piro and I in particular, it seems. I've only been listening to them for a year now, I'd say... but they're already one of my favorite bands. I've been familar with Danzig and his own releases, but I didn't actually know much about his involvement with the Misfits. Strangely, I actually prefer the Misfits with Graves as the singer than Danzig. Graves just has a better range in my mind... And I find, on average, that I prefer the stuff that was more recently released. Famous Monsters is absolutely classic on so many levels. Although Static Age and Walk Among Us are both awesome as well. I even made a Fanlisting for the band, although I was beaten to it by a matter of days...

I don't know. Peter Jackson originally said that if a Hobbit movie was to be made, he wouldn't be responsible for it. Now I'm hearing that he's been trying to get the rights to it, so I don't know what's going on. He's probably going to have a really hard time though. Tolkein's son didn't even want these films to be made. The only reason they were was because Tolkein himself sold off the film rights quite a long time ago. I'm not sure what is going on, but I'm not expecting any news on it for awhile.

I have two sets of Narnia books and love them. Too bad the movie versions of Narnia are a little dated, not to mention goofy. I've had them on tape for so many years now heh. The first book isn't hard to find on tape, but there are a couple others that I never see anywhere. I managed to get c opy eventually. I guess not much can be expected from a made-for-TV BBC movie though. What's there is good enough. Narnia rocks. It sounds like a lot of people here have seen those Extended Version DVD sets? I got the first one for Christmas and found myself watching Disc 3 (From Book to Vision, it says). Generally I never bother with extras, but I really enjoyed this. It spoke of all this Weta stuff people are bringing up and showed it all in action. The movie is amazing visually in and of itself, but when you see all the effort that went into these things it makes it so much more impressive. I couldn't believe how great the miniatures they made were and they're integrated so seemlessly into the film (I previously just assumed that was all CG -- I wouldn't put it past them after Gollum). As for the Hobbit, I actually enjoy it more than the Lord of the Rings trilogy because it's so self contained. You can pick it up, read it and that's that. Lord of the Rings is so much more involving and I think, in some senses, overwhelming to get into. The Hobbit is one of my favorite books... plus it's nice that it doesn't contain as many unnecessary descriptors as the trilogy.

On the included disc, it's only a demo. It lasts for 20 minutes though (it has a timer), so you should get a good idea of what the game is like. Wind Waker is a really beautiful game, I think. Some people don't like the style, but I think it was pulled off very well. Some of the scenes in the game are simply amazing. Animation is spectacular. It does have its issues. The main being that it really isn't much of an evolution past Ocarina of Time. Love it or hate it, Majora's Mask introduced about 10 times as much new gameplay material to the series and was on the same platform (N64). I was expecting a bit more of a gameplay difference between this and those games thanks to the years and platform/generation difference, but it's not there. What is there, however, is solid and is quite refined over the other games. I'm just saying I wish there was more of it. The first few dungeons are awesome and really left me hopeful for the future. However, I did not like the last set of dungeons very much, as they introduced this ICO style of gameplay where you had to bring another character around with you. One is plenty, I don't need two. Which really gets into the next problem -- there aren't very many dungeons. What's there is good overall, but it just isn't enough. I'm assuming this is mostly because of time constraints because Nintendo has mentioned they had more dungeons they just couldn't fit in. However, when you're at a point where there's a very important item you get by simply going into a one room cave, that's a big problem, in my eyes. That isn't to say the dungeons are bad. Even the ones I wasn't too fond of were well laid out and had some decent puzzles. The ones I liked were excellent and a lot of fun to go through. They're all a decent size. The personality shown in OoT is furthered in this game (although I don't think as much as in Majora). The story is one of the more fleshed out ones and slightly deeper than in the past, in some instances. The humanizing of
Ganon
in particular was incredibly well done. Music is good. It sounds nice overall. I was slightly bothered by the fact that some music is reused from OoT. One song in particular, as it was used for a rather important town in the game. Sound otherwise is nice. The problems with the boat are often exaggerated. I'm not sure if you know, but in this game most of the land is submerged. You'll be sailing around a lot. Early in the game, this can be a real chore. It takes well over 10 minutes to sail from one end of the map to the other and most of the islands on the way are very small. Eventually you get a means of jumping around the map quickly, thankfully. Lastly, I should add that this game is just too easy. I didn't die once. In fact, I didn't even come close to dying... and I in no way had anywhere close to the full amount of hearts. It's rather weird that a pig attacking you in the village (if you abuse it first lol) is stronger than any boss in the game. Anyway, despite all that... it was still a very enjoyable game. I had no problem playing it from beginning to end. There's some very memorable scenes, a few great dungeons, great characters (existing ones getting further development), fun boss battles and so forth. The final battle is one of the best in the series, I'd say. It's worth getting. It's by no means bad, but it's definitely not my favorite in the series. The Oracle games and Majora walk all over this one, in my opinion. Come to think of it, you can play all three of those games on the GCN now too heh. With the Game Boy Player and the Collector's Disc anyway.

In its current form, I really don't think this contest will work anyway. It seems too disorganized. I think your best bet would be to do something more along the line of what Dragon Warrior has done in the Family Guy thread. Closing it is up to Manic, though I can't help but agree with him.

I think you should grasp the English language before you give someone advice in something as subjective as religion heh. If people want to know these things, they'll create their own threads. I can't see this being of any use as similar threads to this have all crashed and burned. Sorry, but I'll have to close it. The thread title is rather ironic, gave me a laugh.

I'm not understanding how this works. Obviously once one person answers all the questions, the rest of the people can put the same answers in. Do the points just go to who is first?
-
I've noticed this before... and while I don't have the official answer, I'm under the impression that only so much space on the server is set aside for hosting uploads. Which would mean after a certain point, that old image would be replaced and the link would go elsewhere. Either that or it just overwrites them after they've been on the site for so long. Like I said, just a guess.

I've brought this up to James in the past. If it can, or even will, be added, it won't be put in until Version 7 anyway.

I don't know why the first girl's hips would be even considering the angle the character is standing at anyway. It's pretty obvious to me that her hips are slightly swivled, which would mean one hip is at a father distance and different angle than the other. The same could be applied to a few other "problems" in the drawing. Of course, I guess that can be thrown out the window considering her feet are on equal ground lol. I like the scarf on this second one.

I'll join. I hope these questions are as challenging as you claim heh. I've had no problems in the past trivia threads.

I'm bored, so here's a new one. This is a wallpaper apparently only available through Nintendo.com to people who actually own the game.
-
I honestly prefer the first one. I think in the second the text is made so obvious that it almost becomes too much of a focus and thus slightly uninteresting. In the original one, you can make out the text just enough... yet you cannot fully. So there's this sense of "mystery" about it, for lack of a better word.

Pushing thru the market square, so many mothers sighing News had just come over, we had five years left to cry in News guy wept and told us, earth was really dying Cried so much his face was wet, then I knew he was not lying I heard telephones, opera house, favourite melodies I saw boys, toys electric irons and T.V.'s My brain hurt like a warehouse, it had no room to spare I had to cram so many things to store everything in there And all the fat-skinny people, and all the tall-short people And all the nobody people, and all the somebody people I never thought I'd need so many people A girl my age went off her head, hit some tiny children If the black hadn't a-pulled her off, I think she would have killed them A soldier with a broken arm, fixed his stare to the wheels of a Cadillac A cop knelt and kissed the feet of a priest, and a queer threw up at the sight of that I think I saw you in an ice-cream parlour, drinking milk shakes cold and long Smiling and waving and looking so fine, don't think you knew you were in this song And it was cold and it rained so I felt like an actor And I thought of Ma and I wanted to get back there Your face, your race, the way that you talk I kiss you, you're beautiful, I want you to walk We've got five years, stuck on my eyes We've got five years, what a surprise We've got five years, my brain hurts a lot We've got five years, that's all we've got That is Five Years by David Bowie. It's the lead track on Ziggy Stardust. In my opinion, it's one of the best songs ever written. It's great on its own, but it gets very emotional at the end... which I think is its high point.

Yeah. This has gone on long enough. I suggest every last one of you read the rules. This is considered spam. It offers nothing to anyone, especially considering not one of you has even mentioned why you like these shows.

You also need a router or two NIC cards... that's an important thing to factor in.

The Evil Creatures known as "Siblings"
Semjaza replied to Hittokiri Zero's topic in General Discussion
I don't know that anyone has anything to complain about until they meet my sister. She, for a good deal of time, was quite honestly the worst person I ever had the displeasure of coming into contact with. I have never met someone so nasty, self-serving, conceited, gossipy, rude and mean-spirited as my very own sister. Growing up she was okay, I suppose. I don't remember exactly when she started be an issue, but it was quite a long time ago. It actually started before my father passed away, despite the fact that she loves to blame most of her problems on his death. She was always the obvious favorite between us two, for my dad anyway. In any case, people generally tell you that when a girl is like this she's simply going through a phase. I'm sorry, but a phase doesn't last longer than a decade. She is 19 now. This isn't a phase. This is simply how she is. She has always been incredibly nasty to me. Especially when we were younger and I used to play along with it. One of the more annoying things she used to do was when it was just her and I in a public place. She would literally just stand by me and say how stupid I was in a very loud voice. She once did this at a playground while we were just swinging on the swingset. It was so loud that a big guy playing basketball came over to us and asked if she was talking to him. She replied "No, I'm talking to my stupid brother." She couldn't have been older than 8 at the time. I just dealt with it because it was easier than arguing back. This was a normal occurance with her for me. If I did fight back, she usually managed to turn it around so I looked wrong. Who is a parent going to believe? A little girl or her older (and as rules say, meaner) brother? I admit I was mean to her at times, but it wasn't even comparable. The main problem with this was that my sister made it so our step father basically equated us as one. We weren't Tony and Gina, we were the kids. If she was a problem, I was a problem. I got in trouble for things I wasn't even responsible for on any level. At one point I got into a rather large fight with him, said "**** you" a few times (which did not go over well at all lol) and I got thrown out of the house... For whatever reason, fights usually brought him and I together because it allowed us to both get things out there. We forgave eachother and I think he finally realized that I wasn't anything like Gina. Sometime after this I just decided I was just too old for this crap. I told her that if she wants to fight go ahead, but I'm not taking any part in this. We're not children anymore. She kept it up for awhile, but I didn't even respond to her. I barely even talked to her in general. She pretty much laid off me totally and generally only talks to me when she wants something. What still pisses me off is how mean she is to my brothers and my mother. She literally teases my one brother to the point that I think she is 100% responsible for this low self esteem issues. If they're being good, she antagonizes them until they're upset and fighting. She never lays off. With me mom, she's just nasty. She acts as if my mom has kept her locked in a cage in a closet all of her life. The truth is that Gina has gotten her way for a very long time and has little to do around the house. I believe she doesn't currently even do a chore at home (mostly because it's such a pain to get her to do anything right, so it's not even worth it), whereas my brothers and I do countless chores. She doesn't tell my mom what she's doing. She doesn't say hello EVER. She gives a face whenever my mom asks a simple question. She speaks badly of my mom and step father behind their backs (not to mention everyone else she knows, even her best friend). Lies about so much it is ridiculous. Once she even completely left our house for 2 months to stay with a friend just because she was mad that my step dad wasn't happy with how poorly she swept the floor. Her friend wound up kicking her out because she couldn't take her anymore either. She simply lives off the misery of others. She isn't happy unless someone else is having a worse day than she is. She can be sickeningly sweet if she wants you to do something though. And sure, she might sound bad so far, but that's just the tip of it. There are things I don't even want to talk about that she does. I've never met someone that I think this lowly of. I'm a generally patient person unless someone really is a jerk on a consistent basis... but she is beyond this. You look at her and she can ruin your day. She's more of a spawn of the devil than my own sister. And no, I'm not exaggerating this in any way.
