I think that's possibly the cleanest, smoothest looking drawing I've ever seen from you. It makes it look more professional, I think. The shoes seem a bit off, but I love it otherwise. Nice work.

I misunderstood, so I apologize. In any case, I don't see the usefulness of this personally. If you can't type .com after something, I pity you lol. It's four whole keystrokes heh. It seems like yet another way to insult Microsoft and show off your computer knowledge honestly. If this is just a feature of "good" browsers, what does it have to do with the site itself? Sure, I suppose it is a neat thing when all is said and done... but that's about it lol. [edit]Forget this other stuff I had posted. I was advised to leave it in here, but it isn't even worth the effort. The fact that you think my annoyance is simply over the fact that I misunderstood you couldn't be farther from the truth.[/edit]
Originally posted by wrist cutter I don't feel cool anymore, I haven't had a breakdown. Hopefully I'll have one this week.
That's one of the best things I've ever read here. In any case, I severely doubt most people have experienced a breakdown at all... especially with the age group at OB. Breakdowns are far more excessive than people seem to believe.

Well, I think it's important to note that Disney has moved nearly all of its old cartoon shows over to Toon Disney. I have no idea if any of you guys get that station though.

Oh well heh. There's some obvious AC/DC rips on there too. Holopaw is great. I'd say you should check out anything I mentioned in that Best of 2003 thread. Pavement, Death in Vegas, The Coral, Primitive Radio Gods and The Darkness seem like bands you might be into as well. I'm currently listening to Young Americans by David Bowie. It's an awesome song. Nice gospel sounding back vocals and great use of saxophone. The version on Best of Bowie is actually the single version which is notably shorter. I'm playing the full version, which is far better I'd say. Like all of his songs it just has a great story within it. Great song.

I absolutely hate Jet. It's one of the most derivative bands I've ever heard... I mean, I can name a classic rock song they've ripped off for every song on that album. If other people like them, that's cool. I don't heh.

It's pointless to me. If you titled your thread that badly, then you can always ask a mod to change it. I think allowing members to do this as they please would result in a lot of threads having name changes for little reason. Remember all the people who changed their names when that was allowed? It was overwhelming. So you'll have the problem of people changing the name of their threads and no one knowing what's what anymore.

Adam already announced that this worked several weeks ago. And by the way, in the case of myOtaku, it should work in IE. You might want to try that out before you say that next time.

There's already a thread on boredom here: http://www.otakuboards.com/showthread.php?s=&threadid=35525 I'd have to think there would be something better to do than trying to get a bunch of strangers to tell you what to do for fun, though.

I don't get what there is to be confused about. FF1, FF2 and FF3 were all on the Famicom. That was the name of the NES in Japan. FF2 and FF2 were never released in the US. FF4, FF5 and FF6 were all released on the Super Famicom, aka the SNES. FF4 was renamed FF2 in the US. FF5 was skipped. FF6 was renamed FF3. When FF7 was made for the Playstation, they decided to just go with the Japanese numbering system, rather than the US one. Eventuall FF4, FF5 and FF6 were all released under their correct numbering on Playstation collections. FF2 was finally released on Origins on the Playstation. Obvious 8 and 9 are on Playstation and X is on PS2. As for your question, FFX-2 is the first and only sequel to be released so far. The next thing being released that's related to FF7 is a movie. It's not a game and there isn't another one. So I'm not sure why you think there will be two sequels for that. FFXI is online sure, FFXII isn't even due until late next year in Japan. So I'm not sure why you'd be confused. The FF games have long releases between them anyway... so it's not hard to keep up, in my opinion. FFX-2 and FFXI were the only ones in close proximity, and that was only in the US.

Are you referring specifically to the Disney Channel itself or the Disney Corporation and its various releases and actions over the years? They're both very different arguments for me and I don't want to get into both heh.

I think the main problem is timing the damn things. I miss more with the hammers than jumping, that's for sure. Part of it is that you actually have to hold down the button a second before they even lift the hammer up... I wind up reacting too late lol. I just got past the
Guffawaha Ruins with Luigi, or whatever those are called
. I'm about 6 and a half hours in, I think.

I don't know that I'd call this place "small". It's like any other message board. Certain people only visit certain areas and such only know of certain people. There's always a few standouts. I visit Gaming-Age Forums regularly, for example, and there's often 300+ people on at a time... yet I recognize the same people over and over again. It just happens. There's people in some sections here that I've honestly never even heard of and several of them are very well known. It's simply because I don't visit those areas -- RPGs and all the anime series sections for example.

If I was bored, the last thing I'd do was be on the computer. I think it's proven to make boring things ten times more boring. Sadly, I have a lot of work to do that requires the computer... so I'm stuck. I'd much rather be outside or playing a game.

I think it looks pretty nice, overall. With the hair, while I like your style, I think it would look much nicer if the color change was much more gradual. It seems too sudden in this image and that's what throws it off. The skin tones look good, overall. The eyes work, but I notice you're going for a look where light is hitting them... I think working on them to make the eyes look more glossy/shiny would be nice. As of right now, they look too similiar to the skin and hair tones and don't stand out.

It's called Harmonium and it is supposed to be finished around March. Whether or not it will be out then is another story, as that's just the date that she claims she'll be finished with it. I have no idea if that includes production times and such, but I doubt it. She calls it "goth" because of the subject matter... suicide and such, I guess. We'll see how that goes because I'm not buying into that just yet. Goth music itself isn't defined by such trivial things. The way she speaks and such just make it seem like something she's saying so people have something to talk about, almost. "Dark" sounds like it would be a better word to describe it.

Mario and Luigi is one of the best games I've ever had the pleasure of playing... handheld or otherwise. There's not one thing so far that I've not liked. At times I get a bit frustrated over stupid things, but nothing that's a big deal. The challenge is at a perfect level, I'd say. The gameplay is freaking fantastic. They took something so simple and ran with it and it makes the game that much better. Later on when you get different methods of attack, so much is added to an already excellent battle system. RPGs where you actually have a role beyond picking crap in a menu are rather rare as it is, but this game manages to pull it off so well that I can't help but be impressed even still. I just got out of a boss battle that really utilized this idea to a great degree. There's a certain rewarding quality to winning battles thanks to this. The story isn't EPIC, but it's definitely good. I'm mostly interested in the characters. Mario and Luigi don't even really talk (beyond hilarious voices -- "boobebdoobop" kind of stuff), but they have so much personality anyway. Especially with all the actions they do. The animation really makes this game special, I think. Seeing Luigi snap his fingers (with a little star shooting off to show the sound) after pounding a bad guy into the ground is great. Or Pince Peasly's flinging his hair back with an accompanying flash. Those are just a couple tiny examples, but things like that happen constantly in this game. There's so much attention to the little things. The graphics in general are great too. There's some areas that look a little basic, but others are simply beautiful. The game has a really minimalist, cartoony style to it, but it still comes off really well. Music is great too, I think. There's some tracks that are forgettable, but there have been several situations where I've really sat and thought that I really like the track in such and such an area. There's also a nice use of classic themes. I won't even get too far into all the cameos and references to other Mario games. Donkey Kong, Mario RPG, SMW, etc. Plus if you play this on the Game Boy Player, you can enable the rumble feature. I thought it was a nice idea. Buy this right now if you haven't, it's that good.

I wonder if anyone reads any other posts in these threads... The priest thing in the Little Mermaid has already been explained and you would realize that it's not what perverted minds make themselves think if you actually paid attention to the animation in the entire scene. Instead people just jump to conclusions and say "OH IT LOOKS LIKE HE HAS A HARD ON!!!" Adults make these films. I am sure a good deal of the people involved are disgruntled from time to time. These things happen... but in the case of some of these mentioned, they're totally BS.
Originally posted by doukeshi03 Well, it wasn't really an attack on you Sem...it was more of a vent on the entire non-conformist attitude as a whole so I'm sorry if I offended you.
I'm not offended heh. It takes far, far more than that. I figured I should just clarify in case someone didn't get what I meant... like I originally thought you didn't. No big deal.

I think it looks decent. The twirl worked surprisingly well because it kind of gives the illusion of pipes going into the center. That said, I've seen too many things similar to this to be blown away. It is nice though. I like the use of color. What's with people using periods instead of spaces lately? lol

I'm starting to think we need some warnings in the Rules about wrist cutter's posting style because every thread it seems someone doesn't realize his level of sarcasm heh. Then again, I guess that would kill off all the fun. Personally, I'm mostly past the questioning stage. I think in general, you never really stop asking questions... but what I mean is that I no longer concern myself over these things as much as I used to. I'd rather just live my life and worry about these other things when they actually become relevent or answerable. Some of them never will be.
Originally posted by sixthcrusifix no offence, but ITS A POEM you idiot! Its about my gramma and i just wrote it like mitch did, What did it look like to you? A shopping list, Why the heck would a samurai be wiccan anyway, thats your first problem! PS: I really wish you WOULD just fade away... For good!
Please stop being an moron. You're testing a lot of peoples' patience around here. You come in Mitch's thread and obviously do a thinly veiled parody of his work. Do you think people here are stupid enough to believe that is all there is to it? Whether or not it's about your "gramma" is irrelevent, because guess what? This isn't a thread for your poem. Make your own and stop being insulting. You might not want to listen to Mitch (whom, despite some of his overzealousness, is generally within his right considering he is a mod of this very forum), but I can very easily remove you from here entirely if you're going to act like a five year old. I suggest you start listening to someone.
Originally posted by Charles In the end, I know as much about anime as I do music. So that makes me an otaku. Love me for it.
I almost feel like this comment was directed towards me and it makes me want to cry. Charles is a cruel and unusual creature.

Currently, I believe this is a US only thing. It's not too difficult to get overall. If you have a GC you should get Mario Kart: Double Dash!! anyway. Anyone with a GBA must own Mario and Luigi too. So if you get those two, register them and your GCN and GBA, you'll get it in the mail. Pretty nice free gift. I got my disc on the 23rd. I'm loving it so far. I've not bothered with OoT since I beat it long ago and have that other Zelda bonus disc... but Majora is still godlike. Best Zelda ever, in my opinion -- even with sound errors. Edit -- Actually I know Europe lets you register games for points... I think you can cash those points in towards this Zelda disc, but I'm not positive.

Anyway, my parents are throwing a party. I figure something like 40 or so people will show up. I doubt I'll be around, but I still don't have any exact plans yet.
