I can't see it happening. In fact, I think yours is maybe the second sound post I can remember ever seeing in there lol. Besides, it's called Art and Design for a reason. Design can pretty much encompass any of that sort of stuff.

Well... I don't know if you want to be associated with that wrestler Triple H. I don't watch wrestling, but even I know everyone hates him. So maybe in your case you could be better off changing it heh.

I think we should go back to the days where people didn't have last names. You'd be ____, son/daughter of ______. I always found that amusing.

It's probably a passing thing. I see this happen every so often and then it dies down again. The funny thing is that even during it all half the new fans can't even name more than a handful of songs anyway... at least they're into bands that helped start it up, I guess.

OOC: I let up a bit on Persona's silence, but I would still like to keep his talking to a minium in future posts. He says a bit more here simply so I can get his personality across. No one has been online for me to ask either, so I hope it's not detrimental to the story that I made Shinmaru unaware of Persona. There wasn't a lot to go by for us two so far lol. Persona walked through the slowly fading car exhaust, his arms wrapped loosely around his back. His posture was stiff, but he still managed to have a air of grace about him. Shinmaru stood steadfast as Persona approached him at a leisurely pace. His freshly polished shoes clicked softly on the hard, cold ground. The mask looked straight forward, looking at no one in particular. Shinmaru's coin reflected a bit of dull light as he spun it around his fore fingers. Shinmaru gripped his penny between his thumb and index finger, careful not to rub against the sharp edges of the coin. "Who are you?" he asked in a surprisingly calm voice. The fact that he was unaware of Persona's identity, and especially his ability, made it hard for him to be all that concerned. After all, he was no novice and Persona's bizarre dress made him hard to form a solid opinion on. Persona didn't answer, although it was obvious that those around, including Shinmaru's partners, knew full well who he was. His reputation had proceeded him it seemed as the people in the area had long since dissipated upon seeing him exit Adam's private train car along with the rest of the entourage. Even those who were not aware of the exact appearance of Adam and his Angels were familiar with the mask that Persona wore. To many people it represented far more than the eccentricity of a simple man; it represented death. This displeased Persona a slight bit, the more people that were massacred the better, at least in his line of thinking. Jamie and Joshua both slowly reached for their respective weapons. Persona quickly titled his head and angled it irregularly in their direction. "You'll have your turn ladies. Especially my friend Cowboy here who so kindly referred to me as one of Adam's 'bitches'. Kind of ironic wouldn't you say?" Despite the try at humor, the decided lack of emotion in Persona's voice was unsettling. The blank stare of the mask didn't help matters either. The Osaka Underground was disturbingly quiet outside of the occasional outside noises. Another bullet train was not due for at least several minutes. Shinmaru had grown tired of the situation and quickly whipped his penny towards Persona's chest. In what seemed like an instant, Persona pulled his arms from behind his back and there was a flash of silver light followed by a small ping sound. The penny fell to the ground and gently splashed into a puddle of water mixed with oil that was settled between the two of them. Shinmaru realized the light had been a reflection from the two axes Persona had just revealed. Persona moved his golden axe from his right hand to his left and leaned over to pick up the penny. The reflection of his mask in the puddle distorted as he reached his gloved hand down into it, careful not to get any on his suit. He slowly leaned back up as the rainbow colored ripples gently rolled away. He tossed the penny back to Shinmaru, who caught it effortlessly. After flickinf the remaining water and oil off of his glove, he tightened his grip on the axes. Shinmaru stepped back into a fighting stance, as did his cohorts who still had their hands gripping the handle of their blades. Persona gracefully twirled his dual axes, one in each hand at this point. His mask stared emotionlessly in their direction. He calmly motioned for his adversaries to come at him.

MIDIs are made in several ways. You could feed a synthesizer directly into the computer... which is the main one. But there are also programs that allow you to play them with your keyboard or piece stuff together. Not bad for a first try.

My biological father was a painter. His name was George. I don't know extent of his work exactly, but he was a contracted painter... not an artist. He worked at a lot of random buildings downtown. He passed away though. My step-father, Andy, is vice-president of Jacobs Boiler. It's a heating company here in Chicago that is owned by his family.

Obviously the Bears are going to the Superbowl. You're all insane.

Definitely one of my favorite games ever. Not many developers ever put in the amount of polish this game has. It's even more surprising considering that this is Retro's first game as a team. I am really looking forward to the next in the series from them.

I'm know most people don't know, let alone care for, the bands I went to see tonight. In fact, I only know of maybe three people here who do, all of which found out about them because of me (well Apocalypse Hoboken anyway), but what the hell. I had a great f-ing time and I want to talk about it. Probably should mention they're punk. Here's the bands: Friday, November 28 WLUW Benefit Show... BOLLWEEVILS APOCALYPSE HOBOKEN THE TRAITORS THE DUTCHMEN MEXICAN CHEERLEADER Bollweevils headlined. My reason for going at all was Apocalypse Hoboken, personally. It was a big show in general for one reason... The Bollweevils, AH and The Traitors were all seperated. They all reformed to play this show. I almost had a heart attack when I saw AH on the Metro's site. They broke up in 2000 and I figured I'd never actually get to see them. I managed to get the CD collection they sold at their original last show back then, thanks to eBay at least. Anyway, we didn't make it in time to see the first two acts. We got their when the Traitors were getting ready. The Traitors members are originally formed from members of Apocalypse Hoboken, the Alkaline Trio, No Empathy and the Atari Star... if you're into any of those -- obviously Alkaline Trio has been mentioned here before. They put on a decent show, overall. They've been called "the most hated band in Chicago" and you probably find out why when you see them. They're really obnoxious and love insulting people. However, it was still a lot of fun. I got to see the lead singer rub the mic on his bare ***, so that must be worth something. The crowd didn't seem to care though. The place had big empty spots in it, although some people tried getting a mosh pit going. There were times when people got into it, but it was a rather small group. The lead singer was in a boy scout uniform all night... and at the end of their run jumped off the stage. It's mostly worth mentioning because no one caught him. It was good for a laugh. Todd from AH also joined them for their last two songs, and in my opinion it's when they were at their best. Much better than the rest of their set. I met some of the Traitors after AH's set to buy some merchandise, and they were all pretty cool people. If anyone cares about these guys, there is some news -- they're putting out a new 7" in January. Contains a song called "Bring Me the Head of Matt Skiba" which they played at the show. Anyway, on to the real stuff. Apocalypse Hoboken has had a MASSIVE impact on my life. Possibly more directly than any other band in existance. They are without a doubt my favorite punk band and one of my favorite bands in general. I really think anyone into that sort of music should give them a chance... a REAL chance and see how damn good they are. I went to this show with my girlfriend, who isn't into this stuff, but can enjoy it. We were stuck behind this guy that was seriousl at least 7 feet tall. Thankfully by their second song I wound up getting seperated from her and wound up almost directly in front center. I don't think I've ever had this much fun in such a short time. The crowd for AH had to have been triple what it was for the Traitors. Everyone was mashed against everyone and we were all jumping and pushing eachother. The nice part about all this is that people were cool about it. It was all for fun, no one tried to actually hurt anyone. No dickheads for once. All you could smell was people... but at least the smoke had gone away. The band was amazing. They played the songs flawlessly and Todd sounded great. It's hard to believe they've not put a show on in years. Everyone was singing along, which was really a great feeling. I know a handful of people into this band, none of which live in this state lol... it was great being with people who loved them as much as I did. Todd wound up spitting beer on the crowd, some of which landed in my eyes, but yeah. I can't even remember what order, or even all of, the songs they played. I knew all of them and was having a great time... For the couple that care though here's a rough guess. These are not in the right order: Congested Idiot Revolution Hello Hello Pocketful of Lips Little Fingers Birds in the Aquarium When's Steve Coming Home Card Playing War Cripples Microstars Save the Day Brett Pop Sensibilities Monchichi Summer Assault My God (I think, can't remember.) One Last Tasty Morsel Wound up with a cool poster for $2 (# 17/102) and a Traitors shirt for $10. No AH stuff was being sold sadly... but at least they're mentioned on the poster. We didn't stay for the Bollweevils. I'm not really familiar with their work and I really didn't want to stand there and try to pay attention while trying to enjoy myself. I wanted to leave on a high note after AH. F-ing great show from AH all around. One of the most memorable things in my life so far. Just wanted to share it, despite the fact that they are relatively unknown here. I left totally happy and words can not describe what a great feeling it was to see these guys. A band I thought I'd never get to see play again. (I hate that I have to edit my own curses now... blah). I like many things, but I very rarely get truly excited. Tonight I was really excited to see these guys and it still hasn't worn off. It's probably why this seems so all over the place lol.

From gamescience.com -- Sony have made some last-minute changes to the specifications of the PSX. First off, the machine will not be compatible with the PlayStationBB service out of the box. They plan to add this compatibility via a firmware upgrade at a later date, though that date is not yet announced. This information can be seen on Sony's own PSX game features page. Other changes include: - HDD to DVD recording speed now 12x (was 24x) - no DVD+RW playback - no CD-R playback - static image compatible formats no longer include GIF and TIFF - Cybershot movie format cannot be downloaded - MP3 playback no longer possible - Number of units to be distributed has changed

I really don't feel this game should fall under "abandonware", unlike what these sites want you to believe. The copyrights are still held and the companies are still running. It seems like the only reason it does is simply because it never came out in the US and thus companies here have no real domain over it. That and it's apparently old enough that people feel that they can do as they please with it. Apparently developers don't feel the same though considering how many abandonware sites get asked to take down specific games due to warnings. It's as weird as the sites that claim you can't get in trouble for downloading a ROM if you delete it within 24 hours. Oh well. Square USA and Nintendo kind of messed up the naming process. It goes like this: Seiken Densetsu -- Final Fantasy Adventure (Game Boy) Seiken Densetsu 2 -- Secret of Mana Seiken Densetsu 3 -- Announced for US as Mana 2, but never released There has actually been a GBA remake of the original Seiken Densetsu. It's coming out here on December 1st and will be called Sword of Mana. It was made by Brownie Brown (a Nintendo funded company) and looks excellent. Has a similiar style to 3, especially the art work. I think people in Brownie Brown were responsible for the original. As for this game, I've tried it. Didn't play much because I'm not fond of playing console games on my computer, but I wanted to try it out to see what we missed. It wasn't bad, although I didn't get into it as fast as I did with Secret of Mana. As for the choosing characters at the beginning... there are actually a lot of RPGs that do this, but it doesn't seem to be all that common with stuff Square puts out for some reason. Sword of Mana allows you to pick from two characters, which apparently changes the storyline. I think that's pretty cool.

Pool rocks. I miss it. We should actually play some 9 Ball. Thanks to Super Monkey Ball I've discovered it is the best form of pool there is. My brothers, cousin and uncle all played 4 player MK: DD for at least a couple of hours tonight. I wish I joined in.

Wouldn't "happiness" make more sense? lol I think the happiest moment of my life will be tomorrow night when I get to hear Apocalypse Hoboken play live for the first and last time.

I suppose it is worth warning people about these things... but I still think there is little to worry about. I might as well avoid every last community site in that case lol. I can't say I've heard of a case of a criminal stealing the identity of some 14 year old on an anime message board. I'd think they'd want to get a little more out of it all than that. Someone could look up a random name in the phone book, go online and get their address with anyone that is listed in the phone directory. I can't see myself being that paranoid, honestly. In that case, you might as well just be a shut-in because people are going to find out something about you sooner or later no matter what you do. There are more professional forums where people actually put their full name and contact info in their sigs, but I've never seen anyone do that here anyway. Anyway, that's my thought on the subject itself... but I don't want to make it sound like I don't agree with the idea of some sort of warning against such things.

I don't know vB's current security (I know it's completely database driven which can add to the security as a whole), but I think you're being a bit paranoid here. The stuff you quoted is even more so. Anyone with a portfolio site and such lists contact information. Are they all subject to identity theft? Perhaps, but the chances are pretty damn small. You don't even need to put in real information about yourself when you sign up at OB. All you need is an e-mail address, which can be spammed by things anyway. You could make one at hotmail.com and never use it again even. What exactly would they find out about you via a birthdate, user name and a goofy signature? It's not as if Adam or James are spreading your e-mails out to other companies either. I don't think they're even directly visible in people's profiles either... if they accept e-mail through OB it is sent via some form. If you get an IM or email from some random person demanding personal information, I'd hope you'd be smart enough not to give it to them. They could get that in so many other ways anyway.

http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0383216/ That confirms it. If you want to know anything about a movie, just go there.

The movie itself doesn't seem terrible. Typical popcorn flick, I guess. I might have considered letting someone drag me to see it. However, it has Eddie Murphy. This man is like my kryptonite. He's been playing the same character since Beverly Hills Cop. It never ends and every year it just gets less and less funny (with a few random highlights). I remember seeing the previews. You know how in comedy previews they pause after a joke for effect? I assume to get people to laugh a bit... They did that for this constantly, but I couldn't even crack a smile. Nothing about "Wait until after I leave before the dark spirits come out!!" or "Put me back down on the ground now!" is remotely funny. So I doubt I'll bother.

Comics are hardly boring. It doesn't matter what you prefer, he should just finish the damn things. Smith is a good writer (although I thought a lot of Dogma felt like it was written by a teenager with a skewed perception on religion), but I think he is a really average director. People try to tell me it's just his "style", but I think anyone that studied film in any way would realize that he's simply not that good at it. He's improved though.

I don't know what there is to fight. They most likely blocked it because they thought students were wasting too much time on these sites instead of doing things that actually related to school work. You're not going to win, they're not your computers.

All preppy really meant was someone who attended college prepatory school. Then it changed a bit and became something to describe anyone that came off (or dressed) as someone who attended prepatory school. So I guess when this started people thought of preppy kids as people who play sports constantly, dress in labels and make fun of the other groups. I think people have gotten a bit extreme with the meaning though. It's used for so much now. The only reason any "preppy" person would go for a dark/gothic style or a punk style, by it's basic definition, is simply because these things are trends. Goth has been around for who knows how long as a style, but thanks to a few break out bands it hit new levels. Now poppy punk stuff is trendy, so that's the reasoning for that... although it seems to have been dying down. So who knows. I don't really think of anyone I know as preppy in that sense, personally.
Originally posted by Kitty Pic: 7/10 Overall, I just don't care for the characters.
You don't like the art itself because you don't know or like the characters? Seems like a really odd reason. You didn't even mention problems you had with the art itself lol. The drawing is pretty good. All of your drawings seem to do this black eyes thing, which suits most of the drawings you do... but I don't think it suits this one. It doesn't look bad, it just strikes me as odd heh. Otherwise is looks good. I like how the dresses came out especially. Looks like water colors. What did you color this with?

Well that was written in March. Even back that it wasn't a super reliable rumor. A lot of the games on that list didn't even make it out this year, some were cancelled for the US entirely. I'm sure it's coming, but I doubt anytime soon.
