  1. I would love to go to Sakuracon but it's far enough away that I would need to pay for a hotel, which at least quadruples the price :/.
  2. What characters are you planning on being at different conventions this year, and are you handmaking, buying, or piecing them together? Me; Kumoricon: Female version of Roronoa Zoro, One Piece. Piecing together from thrift store finds. Yamanaka Ino, Naruto. Handmaking.
  3. Ouran High School Host Club. Before that, I only watched or read things like One Piece, Naruto, and Inuyasha. I was into adventure and battles and ninjas, but OHHHC opened me up to other anime and manga that I never would've watched otherwise, and it's more comedy that romance much of the time. I even got my brother to watch it with me and enjoy it (at least the Alice In Wonderland episode). My favorite way to watch it is while eating Sweet Tarts.
  4. Ouran High School Host Club - Technically a romance, but I love it for it's comedy and the difficulties the characters face, from Tamaki deciding his role in Haruhi's life, to Honey not getting candy. Also has one of my favorite girl characters of all time (drumroll). Haruhi! She has such a lackluster and uncaring attitude that is very amusing, in contrast to Tamaki's over dramatic personality, Kyoya's superior money loving self, Mori's silent strength, Honey's little kid over-sweetness, Kaoru's somewhat sensitive almost feminine personality, and Hikaru's thoughtlessness. The anime is also lovely, though the ending is totally different. I love both.   Fruits Basket - At first it seems like a cheery story of a girl finding love, but so many crazy twists happen along the way that it ends up much different than what you think. The sinister undertones throughout ar contrasted completely by Tohru, who, despite everything that happens is as cheerful as can be. My favorite characters are Tohru's friends Hanajima and Uotani.   Naruto - Though the series has drawn on way too long, and it seems that Kishimoto is running low on character ideas, something about it keeps me reading. I still have to find out what's going to happen to Naruto, if he will be hokage, will there be a happy ending, or will Sasuke mess everything up for everyone.   Fushigi Yugi: Genbu Kaiden - A fantasy adventure where the protagonist is thrown into the past. Sounds like Inuyasha, right? But this prequel to The Mysterious Play turns the allies into specific people with strange powers that Takiko must find, none of whom seem particularly inclined to help her, especially after they discover a twist to the prophecy. But without them, she can't save their world.   Deathnote - Sinister horror, where the protagonist can be the bad guy or the good guy, depending on who you ask.. Deathnote delves into the minds of two very intelligent young men as they chase each other in circles, trying to discover who the other is so that they can eliminate him for the "greater good". One is manipulated by a shinigami, while the other works with the police to catch the "all powerful" Kira.
  5. Been watching One Piece with my brother for a while. Otherwise, I don't really watch much anime 'cuz I'm often busy and manga is much faster. I recently finished reading Alice 19th, am on book 12 of Pandora Hearts, right in the middle of Kamisama Kiss, and have begun Skip Beat. I also have a long list of ones that I need to read or watch once I finish these. One Piece is a childhood memory, and I will always love it, though it is really long, so I know a lot of people don't have that attention span. Alice 19th, and all of Yuu Watase's stuff is fantastic, but mainly aimed towards older teens. Pandora Hearts is awesome! I love Break, Alice, and Echo!  And every other character. Kamisama Kiss is good, but too many other people have been reading it at my library, so I always have to wait a month between each book, which kind of waters it down for me. I feel that I'd like it better if I didn't have to wait on it.
  6. I think that the title pretty much explains what this is. Any antoagonist that was just so cruel, or not cruel enough, a crappy villain or too good of one, too manipulative, too soft... I could go on and on. And, if you would like to, give the reasons why. That always makes it more interesting to read. I'll start. Naruto: Sasuke. He just has to have somebody to hate and blame for all of his problems. He can't seem to let it go, and it's tearing everybody else apart :( Inuyasha: Naraku. He's such a manipulative son of a gun, and he just keeps messing with everybody until the very end. One Piece: Crocodile. I have to say that I hate almost every villain in this show because I love the main characters and don't like the people that hurt them, but I choose Crocodile as my very most hated, because he is the villain of my favorite story arc. What about you guys?
  7. I like almost any villain in Inuyasha besides Naraku. Especially Sesshoumaru and Kagura. I love Deidara from Naruto! I'm not sure if they count as villains, but the Zuka club at Lobelia in Ouran High School Host Club. Jango from One Piece is really the only villain I like in that one... And, of course, Team Rocket. Mostly Meowth. "Meowth, that's right!"
  8. My friends tell me I look like Ino from Naruto, but she is one of my least favorite characters from that because of the bad snotty blonde stereotype she fits so well in the beginning. Now that I've gotten to reading Shippuden, during the big war, I feel a lot more of a connection. I'm not a flower-shop popular-boy-loving blonde, but I like to think that in a ninja war, I would be completely devoted to protecting and healing my teammates, and strong and brave like she is now. I hope she doesn't revert to the old Ino afterwards, because I'm finally starting to like her.
