One of my top 5 favorite anime series of all time. It has probably everything that I love about anime - great storyline, well developed characters, nice animation, loads of humor. It's just perfect.

Actually, I really don't have that much problem with changing the names of the characters. Just don't mess with the script and be truthful with the original version. Hell they could change their names to Lucy, Marina, Anemone for all I care. Uy! Pinoy pala si Mist. Taga-saan ka kabayan?

Every episode was a favorite episode. I would have to say the one where Yuki and Tohru visited Aya's dress shop. I think there was one a few pages back. They'll probably close it since it's been a dead topic for a while. What's with the A's Aoshi Shinomori (Rurouni Kenshin)

What's with this sudden urge to be branded "Otaku"? Technically this has a negative connotation attached to it. I really don't want to be branded as such since I have other things more important to think about. Just my opinion though.

But isn't that the same Rayearth that CLAMP made? I think it's one of those alternate realities OAV. They really don't have any connection with the series but still utilizes the same characters.

Yuki is too cold. He's no fun. Momiji is cute but sometimes irritating. Kenshi has lots of good songs but the best one for me is... Yep! Yep! One of them scary anime titles (religion-wise). Takes an open mind to appreciate this one. Now I'm having a 75% appreciation for it. Still couldn't accept the love plot of the story.

Believe it or not there was one fansub that really annoyed me. I forgot who did it but they tried to sub Angel Sanctuary and it was awful. My biggest gripe about it was the character's names inthe first episode were totally different from the names in the second. It was really hard to follow the conversation. But that's the only bad subbed I could remember. :)

C'mon. This thread basically boils down to respect. Some people prefer dubs while others prefer subs. All shadowdramon wants to say was to respect each other's preferences. And I don't think he was just talking about DBZ. So everybody just smile, smile and enjoy the day. ;) With a plot so complicated as Evangelion, I was proud of the dubbers for pulling it out like that. It wasn't terrible and IMHO the voice actors seemed to powerfully pull out the character's emotions ( unlike the Filipino version :( ).

Excel Saga is the best piece of crap that I've seen (sub). Being pointless and annoying was the best part of the series. I love their spoof of Rambo and Star Wars. Heard they killed Excel's voice when it was dubbed though.

I'm a subbie but there are occassions that I prefer dubs for some reasons said above. I agree with shadowdramon with the dumb part. If knowing so little would lead to a person being dumb then we are all so unfortunate. The only persons I would classify under being dumb would be those people who pretend to know everything.

It would probably flop but the best chance for live action would be them lovey-duvey anime titles. If they could turn "A Walk to Remember" into a good movie then just maybe they could succeed with love related anime titles. I dare them to make a live action version of shounen-ai or Hentai.

Really? I kinda liked the endings of Rayearth (2 seasons and the OAV). I thought it was better than X (both the series and movie).

Know of any anime shows that have those huge plot twist near the end? I just love it when something happens that is totally unexpected. CLAMP had a couple of memorable plot twists ******************SPOILER************************ MKR I thought the knights were supposed to kill Zagard but it turns out that it was Emerald. Never saw that coming. X TV Arashi siding with the Dragons of Earth was totally shocking for me. ******************END**************************

They're not too philosophical but most of the Patlabor Movies were pretty confusing.

It's worth it until the Shimabara Arc. After that the rest seems so cheezy. But it's a nice collection nevertheless. I suggest you collect the manga too. The Enishi arc wasn't animated so you'll be missing a lot about Kenshi's past.

Izumi and Ruri-Ruri were the coolest!!! Love the "psycho" lady and the "baka" girl.
